The Time Travelling Toaster Event hit our Springfields big time last week! Dinos, dig sites, Cavepeople & Prehistoric fun have all hit our towns in this first part of the event. What are your thoughts on the event so far? How are you fairing?

Does anyone know what the most expensive pieces of land are so far and where? I have some free land tokens from the last event and got one from this event that I want to spend on expensive land to get the most use from the tokens.
bottom right is the most expensive.
The pieces of land at the top right of your screen are the most expensive 3.25 million. The most expensive piece of sEA is at the bottom right at 2.1 million.
Thanks for the info by bottom right I assume you mean the land furthest away from the mountain and the sea. Thanks for the info on the most expensive sea tile.
I just got an update. Bet that fixes the pink fish fun. Fun while it lasted…
Sadly, yes. The last update also decreased the currency payout for everything. Disappointing, but still possible to beat the event

I like Nessie eating the big trees, I also put the acid pool near my forest in the graveyard/Halloween area, with “closed” bridge ending into the acid pool.

Is anyone else getting redirects to other sites? Some of the page loads take a long time and if I leave them open the page gets redirected to another site.

Yep – the weird random “you’ve won!” and “you’ve got a virus!” messages that you can’t back out of…can only click “close” (no way, probably get redirected to a “bad” site) or close the window and try the site again. Told Alissa earlier that it is only happening here.
And Alissa, I’m on an iPhone.
Speak of the devil…I was on another site for a good 10 minutes before coming here. Posted that message, started scrolling to read others…and I was redirected. This time it told me I won free spins on some wheel.
I think WordPress has some explainin’ to do.

It’s been happening for me too. Also on iOS. I used to get the same thing when I would visit baseball reference (not a WordPress site). Clearing the history seemed to help with that. I’ve cleared it twice this week and still getting redirected. Technology, huh? 🙃
I dunno what’s going on
I thought my android phone had a virus. Each time I visit this site I get redirected to spin a wheel. Some of the other posts I’ve been reading seem to have the same issue.
You’re the first android. The ios users I’ve been told it’s a malware issue on ios. The site doesn’t have malware nor has it been hacked or attacked. I’ve ran numerous tests myself for the malware, it’s not coming from here. I think something here may be setting it off on iOS devices, im still trying to figure that out. But in your case, Android, im not sure. Could still be malware on your device…all i know for sure is it’s not directly coming from this site. Which means i have no way of correcting, which is insanely frustrating

Another strange thing that keeps happening when I’m in the App and open a post is this message pops up that says your iphone is infected with 6 viruses and redirects me to a site trying to sell me some crap.

Ok guys…for everyone having this issue. “So i’ve reported this to WordPress. Addicts does not have Malware in the site itself, but they’re checking into it to see if somehow something got through (since it’s very widespread)
In the meantime they said to try this for iOS Users..direct from the WordPress Tech Support:
“Hi there,
This is likely caused by adware running in the Safari browser. Google “iOS pop ups” and you’ll find many reports of this happening on a variety of websites, not just WordPress.com. Ads like this have been showing up on iOS since at least 2014 from what I can find, but it appears to be on the increase in the past few weeks.
Set your device to airplane mode and force-quit Safari. Restart Safari and completely clear the browser cache and history. Then disable airplane mode. Based on the articles I could find about this issue, that should stop the pop-ups from appearing.”
In the meantime I’ll let you know if they come back with anything else…
I did this earlier today. So far so good. Not a big sample size, it wasn’t happening every time before, but fingers crossed this will fix it for good. 😀

Kept getting redirects, deleted and reloaded both chrome and firefox and still happened. Now just using Safari and no more issues.

Thanks to everyone sharing the tip about the Darwin Fish (repeatedly storing and placing him)! That bug can be fixed anytime. I was close to getting him already and completed a daily task for 1,000 fossils by spending 2 donuts to speed up the last required task to unlock him asap.
Fully upgraded panini-press is a good “compensation” for the recent payout nerf and saves a lot of time not having to tap single dinos anymore.

Well, I guess they fixed it. I saw a tiny update as I was getting into the game this afternoon and after seeing this tip I tried it and it only let me store and place the Darwin Fish and Baby T-Rex once each for additional Tachyons. I guess I’m back to upgrading the Panini Press the old fashioned way. Thanks for the tip though!

It could be a never ending task for those with billions to get re-involved with the game.
Looks like they haven’t come up with it yet. After I got the Rock and a Hard Place, The Green calendar says, “Check back soon for more outrageously expensive items to sink your hard farmed money into!”
Loving the task. It is pretty much what you would hope for.
This latest update was one the best from EA in my opinion. The road to riches, vault and the excavation are all great additions. I also enjoy that as time goes on the ease of clearing your town of dinosaurs will improve but for now it involves some work. As for the negatives I’m not a big fan of the craftables and prizes. Overall though I’m really enjoying the game lately.

I feel the same way. The TTT event and RTR add ons are great. I’m really enjoying the excavation site digging. Just not blown away by any of the prizes, crafting and new characters. But I guess they run out of the really cool buildings and characters for event prizes when a game has been around this long and have had some many events.
I just happy they’re keeping it going 😜

First thing, my heart goes out to everyone affected by the terrible event in London, and also Manchester, my prayers for comfort and healing.
Well I finally broke down after 20 years and let them do surgery on my back a week ago Friday. I knew going into it that the surgery & prep for it was going to be the easy part. In layman terms : They had to take care of one bulging disc at L5 (very lower spine) then shave some of the bones off of L4 & 5 because they were completely pinching off my sciatica nerve, there was no space between the vertebrae. I guess “let them” was more of a “had no choice” on the surgery. After a week, I thought I was superwoman yesterday & cleaned my guest bathroom thoroughly, did laundry, & other things that have been driving me crazy (well crazier than I already am😜) BIG mistake. The evening was not fun to say the least. I still have many restrictions (part of it they called it no blt 😳 I’m like WHAT?!?) it means no bending, lifting, or twisting 😂 Now give me my bacon 😂😂 (such torture). Then the usual stuff, no driving, no tub, no jacuzzi 🙁, you get the picture. Oh, and sitting for more than about ohhh, 45 minutes at this point is not good. But… once this is all over, it will be so worth it 😁😁😁 Maybe I should wait until I start PT the 16th before I say that 😂😂😂 Anyway… short story extremely long, that’s what’s been going on with me. I have a great future ahead of me, and am looking forward to “gung-ho-ing” through it 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

Sometimes the hardest part of recovery is not doing anything. Take it easy and let others do the heavy lifting for a while. Hope you have a speedy recovery (and maybe the Physical Therapist will be a hunk…makes it a lot more fun)😊.

Carrying a case of water upstairs is where I messed it up for good this time 😕I’m pretty stubborn about asking for help though 😂 I did rent a water cooler with 5gallon bottle delivery service. They bring the bottles upstairs & put them in my kitchen for me, & it’s a bottom load cooler, so I just roll the new one over & into the cooler, it really isn’t that much more than the cases I was buying 😁 Bonus is it has a hot water option which was a pleasant surprise since other than water, I might have a cup of green tea occasionally (I don’t drink soda)😃 As far as the PT guy… I’ve had PT so many times in the past, I’ve yet to see one I’d be interested in 😂😂😂 … now if he gave me a good massage… that could sway me to stretch out the sessions a little longer 😇😝
Sadly I have hit the item cap for my Springfield. I do not know how to decorate large swaths of land without using a lot of decorations 😞. I guess I’ll have to look at design ideas.
Make all your buildings transparent and see if there are items behind that can be stored. I have had to store fencing occasionally as well, when I maxed out.

I shuould know this but do crafting points rollover to the next level? Say I need 300 to unlock the next level and I craft something for 400 do I lose the extra 100 or does it count towards the next unlock?

So once again a lot of sport was watched but today I had the perfect excuse – no water! Our water situation is extremely dire with just over 60 days supply left. No water today as they are trying to balance the water available between two supply dams. Hope it will be back later… 😞 At the end of the month we have the National Arts Festival here which brings in thousands of extra people! It is (was?) the second biggest Arts Festival in the world (behind the Edinburgh Festival) and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere so it brings in a lot of people – good for the economy of the city but not for its water supply! At this rate I’ll have to visit my parents twice a week just to bath! 😄😄😄
Well done to the South African cricket team for winning their first match in the ICC Champions trophy against Sri Lanka. Next up for us is Pakistan on Wednesday and then India next Sunday – so no gardening etc unless it is raining in London! Need to get revenge on England for losing the one day series to them and winning this tournament would certainly do that! nellypuk (& all others in the UK) we are coming for you! 😃🇿🇦
Enjoying the new event! I know some people are tired of the long events and the four-hour grind cycle but anytime there are new goodies for me I’m happy! Love the Waterslide tree thingy and going to be some interesting designing days in my future – especially with the new dam! Having to earn it far slower than I would like but I guess delayed gratification is not such a bad thing… 😄

I have to say you look a different team to a few weeks ago, didn’t see all the game but a devastating spell of spin bowling and some great fielding.
I am quite enjoying the event, they have changed it just enough from the normal event pattern to keep it fresh.

Fun little tip just showed up on the EA forums
If you already have the Darwin Fish in your game, try taking him/her/it in and out of your inventory for an added bonus. Apparently the game counts each placement as ‘new’ and you can max out your Tachyons (and hence your tap radius, excavation bonuses, etc) in no time.
Probably won’t take too long for EA to catch on to this so get in while you can

Works even better with baby t-Rex, since his placement pays out more tachyons

Pickled again. May I take this opportunity to thank the wonderful Alissa for all the time and support for us she makes at addicts. Without her I would be playing anonymously and in the dark. There is nothing more I love than visiting here and finding out what the heck is going on.
The posts her and her team do everyday are paramount to my game play. I’m sure anyone who visits tsto addicts know that this takes time, money and a heck load of effort. This site does not run itself.
I know you can’t stand the appreciation you deserve but I for one am standing gob smacked at your posts and appreciate everything you do.

Don’t understand why they reduced the amount of fossils you get. I think it’s unfair to the players who don’t get to play but a couple times a day because of work.

Well bunny is the one who abandoned you (and us)…we didn’t abandon her. So odds are you wouldnt wake up next to her she’d abandon you in the middle of the night..

Perhaps it is Monday Morning Quarterbacking, but I sensed a certain angst in Bunny’s latter postings. I hope she is able to find peace within whatever that is/was. And am sad that she was unable to bid adieu before she moved on.
I’m particularly poignant at the moment as a friend who has eddied away from my life ( we were each other’s Best Man) was in a sever auto accident on a California Delta Hwy 3 weeks ago. Still on a respirator and had spleen remove, pancreas repaired, bones in leg set and facing Spinal surgery / rod emplacement.

Ive had a lot of people eddied from my life too. I became close to a Japanese student in college, who was also in a terrible car accident. She’s paralyzed neck down, and cant speak. This accident was in 2003. I keep in contact with her mum. I think of her a lot. How different her life would have been. She wanted to be a neurosurgeon. Sigh!
Enjoying this event so far. Like the fact that there is intermediate dialogue as you earn things.
I really, really, really hope that we do not have to deal with another SH event, EVER. Unless they change the tap times not ruining my life to grind out SH currency.
I’m with you…SH was the most unpleasant part of this game👎. I put it off for almost a year before completing it (took stuff to level 2 and then forgot about it). At least now they have the 8 hr jobs for SH currency, I swore I would never to do all those 30 sec tasks again😖.

I can tell you that apparently it’s going to be a mystery box type thing. Unlike most mystery boxes though, it’s 75 donuts and almost a guarantee you’ll get a character. I believe only one thing isn’t a character.

Sorry that I only answer now…
I was on vacation and started the even a few days into it. As I was rushing through the dialogue, I noticed something having to do with real estate values and spending in game cash (not donuts). I cannot find anything referring to this again, but seem to recall $20,000,000 for something. My SH real estate is maxed out at $1 billion, so I don’t think it has anything to do with that. Has anyone else seen this?

It’s located on your daily challenges box. Tap on the top right corner on the game screen and ener the Daily Challenge menu. You’ll see a green colored box. If my memory serves me well the first box is the Daily, second is the Monorail, third (Green Box) is the prize track for Road to Riches.
I was recently traveling for work and I sped through the dialogue that popped up (via Bart, maybe?) that explained Cecil Terwiliger’s new tasks. What (if any) is the reward for completing the multi-million $ tasks. There is a meager XP gain for each task but what’s the end game? Surely, EA wouldn’t add those just for a way to throw away game $. Sorry if this has already been covered. I searched the site for a post on it and came up empty.

I think the money pile paid better in xp…I remember making a lot of donuts off it (with the collider on).
Huh… I’ve gotten no mention of this in my game at all…
I decided that this event is not for me. I have no interest in any of the prizes and nothing in the crafting interests me either. Nothing will fit in my springfield.
So, 24 hour tasks for all, less tapping, more relaxing! My only goal for now is to unlock as much land as I can.

If you enjoy your old west/dirt using areas, you might want to buy some of the walls, they’re in-game cash & they match very well with the dirt 😊

Thank you! I didn’t even notice that. Speaking of dams, I saw one in Wookiee’s town that I’ve never seen before, it was a regular looking dam that leaked, & when I tapped it, it leaked more. Where did I miss out on that one???

This past Monday was a beautiful day in Toronto. However, the evening was another story. Our leagues weekly softball games are Monday at 6:30pm. And this past Monday it started pouring with intermixed lightning around 6:15pm. Unfortunately, our game was rained out. Forecast has rain for today and tomorrow. But hopefully it stops by tomorrow afternoon, and we can get a game in tomorrow evening.

I never use the Googelpex. Those eight hour tasks to get SH currency 💴 is much easier.

As long as you are under the cap, you can start another 8 hour SH currency earring task.
Yeah, exactly. You can’t get to 666 across the board without using the Googolplex.
I did use the 8 hour task to get as high as I could before I started using the Googolplex.
Personally I think using the Googleplex to earn SH currency is a waist of game cash. I rather use the cash to craft donuts or the new Cecil Terwilliger quest.
BTW: you can’t connect Springfield Dam to a river. EA screwed up again 🙁
