A fabulous freebie prize – now I just need to figure out where it “belongs”
I’ve reached the point in my game where I Store items that generate rent/income if they don’t fit a design concept. But BONUS generators will stay in, somehow, somewhere.
If you can’t find a place where it fits in thematically, you can airways hide it behind something. I have one or two visible and at least another two or three hidden. (You’d be amazed if you could see the hundreds of items I have hidden out of sight…i’ve even taken to removing road segments that are hidden behind buildings so I can place more items there to hide!)
Removing road segments is a great idea – I’ll have to consider it. Even though it goes against my grain – seems some how ‘dishonest ‘. Sigh!
I always hide things that don’t fit behind buildings. The only exception to that so far for me has been the reneducation building, which I eventually put in my future Springfield area.
You can make a space at One Week Wonder Films or Krustylu Studios for a “backlot” and put wierd stuff there as a film set…I have one of my Elder Gods there.
I like that idea as well. My Old West is using that concept.
Although right now my film studios are backing up against unpurchased land – the $1million lots.
Ouch. It will take some reconfiguring.

Please give us an easy way to get straight track for the monorail. Trade in the excessive amounts of curved or purchase, I don’t care how.

Didn’t see anyone comment on how awesome Sexy Pirate’s ship looks so I will. It’s awesome.
It would be more awesome if it was a pirate ship and not an English frigate with the st george cross and Union Jack flying!
Why? What’s wrong with the English? I don’t think the U.S even existed at that point in history. It was a colony that declared independence. July 4th 1776.
Would be nice if we could change the flags to a country of choice or skill and crossbones and move in the water with pirate at the helm or sea captain EA………..
The detailing in the artwork is excellent…much better than the previous ship. Would like to see it flying the “Jolly Roger” as one of the flags, tho.
I can’t decide if I like this event or not. Some of the prizes have been great but the others are meh and wig going on vacation plus kid stuff I haven’t come close to completing any of the acts. Just can’t log in every 4 hours and I don’t have any of the premium characters that help with it.
Non-TSTO related: anyone else get the Futurama game? Thoughts? I downloaded it yesterday and it’s…ok. I’m already confused about one of the tasks and I can’t find a guide to help yet.
The Quest for Stuff is better. Futurama is too confusing for me.
I got it the day it came out. Currently at the third district and have had more fun with it than I did with the Family Guy game. Key part of it for me is that instead of focusing on cutaway characters/buildings that nobody cares about, this game will be forced to actually use things from the actual show. I feel some things could be better, like the drop rates, but all in all it seems appealing. I like it. That’s my long thought list. What task are you stuck on? I could be of service

I spent more time today in Tapped Out than in Futurama Worlds of Tomorrow. In that game you get blocked at every turn. Waiting out another 8 hr build for land before I can continue the quests…

This event is not my favorite, so hard to get everything on time
So, I have around/over 70,000 specimens and everything so far… Not sure what to spend them on LOL

For the past 6 or 7 days, I’ve just been collecting after I finished the MQ and all that…. I think I spent too much time in the game during this update. Then again, insomnia FTW. LOL

Did they tweak friends’ springfields so the bonuts pop more frequently? Got interested when tapping through neighbors and had FOUR drop in quick succession.
I average 2 donuts per day, if I visit everybody( 60+ neighbors), otherwise still 1 per day. Take advantage of the glitch while you can😉.
I noticed the same thing too. Thought I was wrong but now that I’ve seen someone else comment I think they did. I used to get maybe 1 a week but I’m getting at least one a day now sometimes multiple. If they did thanks EA.

Hey guys. I think that this event was on effects the best but that might be because I’ve only played 2 and 1/2 as I played the secret agent, half of Destination Springfield and this one.I’ve used about 15 land tiles this event to show off my items. I am really impressed with my designs as well
Happy Sunday everyone. Having a great week so far and enjoying life. Event wise must say this is the first time I haven’t been able to complete any of the three parts. Wasn’t an issue if time. I tapped my heart away usual and still won’t be able to complete it. Overall the event lacked a lot for myself. So much they could have done with this “time traveler” idea but we get some lack luster parts instead. I’m holding next one they step their game up or try something different.
I am glad I was able to get all the July 4th items. Working through the quests now. Not thrilled with taking the Presidents out of context, but it is made by liberal writers.
I was thinking the same thing.
My main games I have been in bonus for a couple of days now, making extra row boats, camels and cannons. I started a new game(D) partially through the first act. Even though I had just 5 characters and had to send them on quests, I should I am just 3000 away from the Pirate ship and Home Lizard (completing at least one of each crafting item). The only thing I will not have is the Dinosaur Lake and Moe’s Cavern.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, that I was told by the Addicts at Tapped-out.co.uk that unless I bought a whale, I wouldn’t be able to have a place in the ‘premium rehab’ with the rest of them.
I tried to resist, I really did.
But I caved in and bought one!
Now, apparently, I have to buy the Funzos when they appear in my vault.
Wish me luck while I try to resist the pressure. .. again ! 😀

And totally useless – hence my place in Premium Rehab.
The whale might be wasteful, but at least they’re fun to look at. But the Funzos are just creepy….highly unlikely kill ever have one of those in my town, even if they gave them away for free.
As for peer pressure, as one of the most popular public service campaigns ever in the U.S. used to say, “Just say no!”
Never bought the Funzo Kreeplets…never will…even if EA just gave me the donuts for free (oh yeah, they do that now anyway)…never, never, never…(shivers and gets the willies at the same time…..)
I have a pod of whales. Bought two (and one of everything) in my main game before the vault. Bought another from the vault last week. This week I bought a fleet of police cars to patrol.
What’s wrong with the whale? I finally got it and was overjoyed that not only does it look cool, have a bonus, but has a great animation.
Overall it is a good event for me. Exotic themes with great music for each Act. Bought Eisenhower Jeep set. It would be great if the Jeep runs on the road.
Recently watched Mr Robot S1 & S2. Quite good series for thinking audience. Also watching the new Twin Peaks Season 3. Watching the series is like watching a new age Art show. For movies, I watched Power Rangers and The Girl with All the Gifts. I like both of them. I watched two Arnold’s movies where he finally get to act. Maggie and Aftermath. Both are boring for me
I just watched the movie The Accountant (Ben Affleck) last night and definitely recommend it. It’s engrossing and different (and, these days, I really appreciate “different,” especially).

Personally for me this event overall has been a disapointment. The only thing keeping this event going for me were the mystery box content and the Vault. Moving forward I hope EA keeps the Vault in our games.

I’m on leave for the coming week so I shouldn’t be surprised that I have a low grade flu… Just my body’s way of saying I must rest before I party 😄 The National Arts Festival started here on Thursday with 1000s of shows and exhibitions going on for 11 days! And so far I’ve only had Sweet and Sour pork (delicious) and not seen a single thing. But tomorrow I’m going to a lecture on gin followed by a tasting which is being given by friends of mine who gave up being lawyers in London to open a distillery in Cape Town. 😄 Haven’t booked for anything else but I mainly enjoy going to art exhibitions which I can do when (or if) I’m in the mood and being able to get festival food 🍽🤗
Weather wise things continue to be cold and dry! Still no rain and not looking promising this week – we have a 3% chance of rain tomorrow and an 8% chance on Saturday – Definitely not holding my breath! 😟
I’m done with the event. Just earning bonuts and trying to decide what to craft with all the thingies that I’ve built up. Spent a lot on the Presidents & vault items so I do have some quest lines to keep me busy (& design decisions to make!) after it ends. Wonder how much of a break we will get before the next thing hits…? 😃
Now, it’s time for my bath and then it’s Shanghai Steak for supper…

Hi MAB! The festival sounds like great fun…I hope you feel well enough to do a lot of stuff. At least it sounds like there won’t be much if any rain to contend with during the festival. We’ve had some rather scary storms here in the past week or so…a smallish tornado even touched down a week ago about 10 miles from my town, and that’s practically unheard of here. Fortunately where I live we only had torrential rain. I’d gladly send some rain your way if I could.

I have a idea, and want to see if others want to play along…
For those of you with premium skins for many of your “core” characters, when was the last time Lisa got to play her sax or CBG got to help Agnes across the street? Homer has a zillion possible tasks in his freemium skin…just about one for every hourly increment…have you used any of them after he originally got them? And Marge….has she cleaned house (one of her favorite activities) even once this month?
If you’re like me, you’re always trying to maximize your income, so, with the exception of rail yard tasks and questline tasks, your characters live pretty exclusively in their premium skins.
So, in the spirit that July 4th represents in the U.S., I propose we make it “Freemium Freedom Day.” On that day, we forgo the use of any premium skins (unless you’re still grinding towards event prizes and need, say, to have Skinner in his premium skin to earn shovels).
So, who’s in? Let freemium ring!
I’ll go for your suggestion, because I too attempt to place all my characters into their Premium skins.

So Tuesday I too shall free’em my Freemiums.
It would be cool if by unlocking a premium skin for a freemium character it transformed all payouts for that character to premium. That way, whatever task you selected would pay bigger and you wouldn’t need to scroll thru characters to put on premium skins. Or the Unemployment Office could have a switch, “premium skins on/off”.

I love your idea and will send all my folks on funtastic freemium journies on the 4th…haven’t seen some of their stranger tasks in a while.
I do something similar every once in a while, where everybody who has transportation of some sort uses it that day (bikes, skateboards, golf carts, motorcycles, brooms (witch Marge), planes, trains, hamster globes and even clouds(Brother Faith). If they have no transport options, I choose jogging, running or dancing (or being pulled by dobermans) around town. It’s surprising how many characters have a ride available, and I always forget about them after a while.
Thanks for the fun idea for the 4th…will visit that day and see what your folks are up to😁.
I would like to see the unemployment office updated. I would like to choose for each character a preferred action/skin for each time period. And include more time periods (under 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, etc).
I use all of my skins, I always have everyone visual but change it up as much as I can. If they have 3 or more skins if you swipe real fast it scrolls like a slot machine and I often let the fates decide. Right now I’m going through each character, every skin and every task to see if I’ve missed anything. Currently Pie Man Homer is at the Vast Waistband.
I do. I just go to unemployment centre and tap one hour or 4 hour task I don’t go to my characters and find the best deal. Happy 4th ,and happy belated Canada day.
That’s what I normally do, to (use the unemployment office), but I always try to make sure my characters are in their premium skins, first. Tomorrow, I’ll either send characters with premium skins individually on freemium tasks, or, if I don’t have the time (which I should, but you never know…), I’ll at least make sure they’re in their freemium skins before I use the unemployment office.

If this is the same task – Sideshow Bob has been seen in your town, catch him- he can also be caught in a neighbors town if they are at the correct level. I had this task lock up on me and couldnt complete it for almost 6 months…then I got a new neighbor and a few weeks later I got the pop-up message in their town. I tapped Bob in their town, and the quest finally finished up. Wierd…

Bought Frank Grimes and the Forgotten Grave. Still 18 hours away from Frank digging himself out and having him (plus another 4 days of Initial Quest)
Now I just need to await Mindy Simmons and Madam Cao’s to complete the Characters Group.
In the mean time, anxiously awaiting to see what pops up between the 4th and the end of this Event- by the prickling of my thumbs, I sense something different this way comes.
