Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
In-Game Update just hit our pocket-sized Springfields…NOT a major event that requires an App Download. No this is like another mini-event. Short, sweet and something to hold us over until the next “major” event.
Going through everything now myself, so I’ll update this post with more as I get it. But for now know that you’ll have an initial task with Fallout Boy for 1hr.
Also, can I just say…Superheroes? Again? Really? Come on EA. Once was awesome. Twice was ok. But three times? Really? This isn’t Weekend at Bernie’s….
At least it’s a mini event…and it looks like some fun additions were added..

Ok first let me start with this is NOT, I repeat NOT, a traditional Mini Event. Instead this is more like and “old school” TSTO update, that those of us who played the game for years will fondly remember. It’s a new questline (short, only 5 parts) and a bunch of stuff in the store. Some new, some old…almost all premium.
This update runs until July 30th. What does that mean for what’s next? I’ll cover that in another post, but I’ve got a lot of theories….
For now here’s what’s included in this update…

Pies for Guns Booth- 60 Donuts, Earns $150, 13xp/8hrs AND 2.5% Bonus on all Cash and XP
Senor Ding Dong’s Doorbell Fiesta Van- 40 Donuts, 2% Bonus on all cash and XP
Senor Ding Dong’s Doorbell Fiesta & Senor Ding Dong- 140 Donuts, Earns $200, 20xp/12hrs AND 4% bonus on all cash and XP

One more note…IF you have Dr. Lenny’s Lab and/or the Spooky Campfire out in your Springfield, you will get 2 quests that popup. One for Mr. Burns (Lenny’s Lab) and one for Bart (campfire). If they’re not out they won’t popup.

I wouldn’t mind an annual Superhero event tbh.
Señor Ding-Dong looks like a decent buy, even at the price, because his store has a bonus and an income.

I’m going to have to do some major KEM farming. I have 4 items I want from the Super Hero vault, unfortunately there’s 8 items offered so the chances of me getting what I want diminish with every item that I do get. Plus I still need to get Grimey and Senor Ding Dong along with the guns for pies van and grrrrrrr man I shouldn’t have bought so many damn bikes last week lol
7% bonus raise … I check my inventory for more bonus items 😀

not really, just fallout boy’s questline in the taskbar, and the items in the store for sale.
So…any idea if this is a true mini-event? Not like prep for the next full event like we had before TTT?
I was thinking the latter, which is why my first response in reply to Markkuceraio lamented not getting a sing-off event.
It is not. It’s like an odd school update. Filler, stuff to buy (mostly premium) that’s it.

The main reasons I’m upset about this update: 1) These items have been in the game 3 to 4 events ago. Do we need them another time? 2) This is ends in the beginning of August, my least favorite month.3) EA is not following their update times (Major, Mini, Major, Mini, etc. & etc.). I have ranted enough already.
I brought this up in the comments a couple of days ago, and will do it again in this post. Doing a major event right now doesn’t match up with a timeline to launch Halloween on time. They needed some kind of week to two week filler. I wasn’t sure if it would happen now or after the next major event, but it’s happening now.
probably wanted it to coincide with comic con.

I kind of like this concept, a mini-event to recycle a past event. It allows people who missed out to snag those event specific items.
Oh yeah. I missed both previous events. Will at least go for Radio Active man. Any idea when this mini event expires. Little short on doh’nuts
Looks like there was a bonus change also.
I don’t recall if the hero clothesline had a bonus on it before, but maybe that is what it is coming from.
… also found in my inventory, the xray truck had a bonus of 2.25% was that there before? I had a few hero clotheslines, but there was no bonus.
Can somebody ask EA to add an indicator in your inventory that an item has a bonus tied to it?
I for one am excited. Took a 2 year hiatus and missed all the superhero stuff.
Yet another mystery box to deplete my donut stash…..
Got 3x of the booby prizes (fruit-bat man, movie set, publisher) before I got the 3x desirable prizes (tar pit, fracker, solar/wind lad).
360 donuts for 4x premium characters is a pretty good deal. Not as good as getting them for just 180 donuts though. 🙁
At least I managed to avoid getting the Asylum.

I just want a NEW MAJOR EVENT! I hope it still comes today! Also, I think it’s just a Mini-UPDATE, not an event. Thinking about buying the Mystery box for it. 2 Meh prizes, 7 Nice prizes, 4 Awesome prizes in my opinion!
Burns, too? Drat – I had just sent him to collect metal for the rail yard (and, of course, his task is the longest, too). I also notice that the green villain didn’t have a 1-hour task right now…he was left behind when I sent everyone else on one (and there’s not even one grayed out in his list….weird!).
My Mr. Burns is free now, as are most of my other characters, but nothing’s kicked off for him….I do have a few characters collecting glass…does one of them need to be free, too?
You need Dr. Lenny’s lab out for his quest (it’s just a side quest) and for Bart’s you need the Spooky campfire out.
Ah! I have Bart at the campfire, but I’ll have to see if the lab is put out in storage (though, based on what’s going on, my money is on the latter).

I wish these would be ready to go by 3 or 4am. I do my STO along with breakfast at 6:30. Without new notifications, I send everyone on a 24-hr task. Few things are more frustrating in this game than the feeling of starting an event one day behind.
Also, where’s Spider Pig for the store?
You can always store the building (where the needed character is on task) and then replace it, freeing up your Springfielder.

I’m rEAlly upset! I have Radioactive Man already, but I haven’t been offered the statue. I’ve wanted it since I started playing and saw it in neighbors towns. I’ll gladly pay 100 donuts for the Radioactive Man Statue alone.
I wish it were a full event. I need some more Superheroes!
I bought a few of the characters, but aside of radioactive man everyone isn’t a premium character? Is that a mistake or intended? Very disappointed there. But like Superhero event, not playing that long yet to be there when the others been.
Wow what a let down. I have been waiting for a major event update since yesterday. And now … another mini event, superheroes again of all things. At least they could have done a SH mini event.

Put the Superheroes HQ (or building any needed character is in or associated with) in storage then re-place. That will free them up.
I had three new tasks kick off.
1. Fallout Boy’s Rise from the Shadows Pt. 1
2. Are you Afraid of the Bark? (Make Bart tell a scary story)
3. Dr. Lenny’s Lab (Make Mr. Burns Enjoy Dr. Lenny’s Evil Lab)
My task book was empty prior to the in-game update.

Same. Also have added items in the store…a few new, including Señor Ding-Dong with a 4% bonus building. He’s the only thing tempting me to spend donuts.
Annoyed that the atomic bombs came back, but my crafted ones from Part 2 don’t have a bonus. Guess that’s a thing now…
I agree with the sentiment of “a third one???” I stored that alley from the last game, felt that out of everything offered, it had no place in my town.
I was really hoping for a sing-off with Bleeding Gums Murphy finally coming to our games…le sigh.
Yeah, i instantly purchased Señor Ding-Dong. Don’t know that i’ll pull the trigger on anything else. The odds don’t seem great for the mystery box prizes.
I love the alley in my town, just had to get a little creative with it.

Do we still get random tasks?
Like “send so and so to do x” to get a few extra bucks?
