Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
In-Game Update just hit our pocket-sized Springfields…NOT a major event that requires an App Download. No this is like another mini-event. Short, sweet and something to hold us over until the next “major” event.
Going through everything now myself, so I’ll update this post with more as I get it. But for now know that you’ll have an initial task with Fallout Boy for 1hr.
Also, can I just say…Superheroes? Again? Really? Come on EA. Once was awesome. Twice was ok. But three times? Really? This isn’t Weekend at Bernie’s….
At least it’s a mini event…and it looks like some fun additions were added..

Ok first let me start with this is NOT, I repeat NOT, a traditional Mini Event. Instead this is more like and “old school” TSTO update, that those of us who played the game for years will fondly remember. It’s a new questline (short, only 5 parts) and a bunch of stuff in the store. Some new, some old…almost all premium.
This update runs until July 30th. What does that mean for what’s next? I’ll cover that in another post, but I’ve got a lot of theories….
For now here’s what’s included in this update…
As I mentioned above, some new stuff, lots of old stuff, mostly premium..and a super short questline
New Stuff…
Pies and Explosives Pile- 30 Donuts, .75% Bonus on all Cash and XP
Pies for Guns Booth- 60 Donuts, Earns $150, 13xp/8hrs AND 2.5% Bonus on all Cash and XP
Senor Ding Dong’s Doorbell Fiesta Van- 40 Donuts, 2% Bonus on all cash and XP
Senor Ding Dong’s Doorbell Fiesta & Senor Ding Dong- 140 Donuts, Earns $200, 20xp/12hrs AND 4% bonus on all cash and XP

Hero Clothesline- 20 Donuts, .50% Bonus on Cash and XP
Zenith City Billboard- 10 Donuts. .25% Bonus on Cash and XP

One more note…IF you have Dr. Lenny’s Lab and/or the Spooky Campfire out in your Springfield, you will get 2 quests that popup. One for Mr. Burns (Lenny’s Lab) and one for Bart (campfire). If they’re not out they won’t popup.

I wish they would do another western event
I had very few donuts then, so the premium stuff all passed me “buy” (a little joke…I know, very little…sigh), so I would love to see some of the western goodies return. Even the large rock formations would come in handy.

I loved the rock formations but unfortunately that was right when I began to play this game and didn’t get into it until sci-fi

I use Samsung Game Tuner, it allows you to zoom out about another 40%
The superhero events have always been my lesser-enjoyed events, but I thought we always knew it would be a trilogy, what with Marvel doing trilogies (at least?) for their movies.
If it’s just a mini-event and not a prelude to a full-fledged event, I’m totally ok with that.
a couple of questions.
1. Does the multiplier for the clothesline only work for 1 of the decorations? I had an extra in my inventory and did not notice any change to the xp multiplier.
2. Did Dr. Colossus lose his 1 hour task?
I did put that extra clothesline out, btw.

Usually the version that you crafted doesn’t get the bonus, only the ones that you buy for donuts. I put my extra clotheslines and atomic bombs out just in case but alas and alack, no change…
That would just be greedy Mike. Your bonus is large enough as it is.
I’m assuming EA are getting you to buy all the items you missed, so you will have to buy more donuts for the next event. Might try at the mystery box when I have completed some daily tasks and got ten donuts, hoping to get Charcoal Briquette or Citizen Solar and Wind Lad, but I have lots of awful items in my box, so I’m not sure it’ll be a win this time. 🙁
Tapebelt hit the nail on the head about this coinciding with Comic-Con. Then why not do a Comic-Con Springfield??!!!? I live in San Diego and boy does this town change when CC comes to town. Once again EA blew it, this COULD have been a fun mini event but no, drag out old stuff and a twice used theme. Lame.
They could have called it the Springfield Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con event, given that the people running the San Diego event want to control the use of the phrase Comic-Con.
What a great idea…almost all the main Springfielders already have appropriate skins and we have a Convention Center ready for business. Would love to see this happen😄.

Are their thoughts on if Senor Ding Dong will be around for more than 10 days? I want him badly but will have to farm to get there and am only at about $6mil since I just bought a ton of land (well, more than a ton by weight). If it’s here to stay, I’ll save up.
I want not playing when there was the last 2 superhero events and I was really gut hurt so I’m really excited

The only new item I see is Senior Ding Dong. I think he’s part of the “Vigilante” Character group. I’m interested at the Superheroes mystery box. I missed a lot of otems from last year’s event.
Can’t be. There is a new truck associated with Senor Ding Dong + a police van with pie stand available. I don’t think they’ve ever been in the game before. It has to be in your store somewhere.
While another superhero event is definitely pretty ehh, this does make me happy because, after a few turns at the Mystery Box, I got the superhero I’d been longing to get but missed out on due to not being very invested in the last superhero event, being Plopper.

Wildlife Sanctuary, Camping Tent, X-Ray Truck, Pie Man Epic Statue all have multipliers now.
Placing X-Ray Truck now yields 50 XP and has a 2.25% bonus.
Pie Man Epic Statue now yields 30 XP and has a 0.75% bonus.
Camping Tent now has 0.75% bonus.
Wildlife Sanctuary now has 3% bonus and can now be placed on pavement, boardwalk, ornate pier and dirt too.
Looks like all of the crap we got free last year (billboard, atomic bomb, Pie Man statue, etc.) all got the premium treatment. I’ll take it.
only the premium versions of the atomic bomb, billboard, clotheslines, and spooky cabins (bought for donuts, not crafted in previous events) have bonuses attached to them.

I like the superhero thing, generally speaking. But what I really want is a third Springfield Heights update so we can get more space opened up on that side of the mountains.
i’m really not excited for another sh grindfest… would it be too much to ask for them to give us the rest of the land for free? 😏

I’m REALLY stoked to get a crack at owning these characters. I have only been playing about six months so far. I can get Radioactive Man for sure with his good donut price, which is awesome and appreciated. I am enjoying having Fallout Boy already. Thanks EA! Now I need a Terwilliger event so I can get the family. I never received the Flaw and order questline, so I don’t even have Bob yet unfortunately. EA has tried to help put him into my town and even they are having trouble doing it. They did try though. I hope he appears soon
I got just got Pie Man “Homer as a hero” for free. Nice!
@MydadlookslikeFlanders, you may have already tried this, but have you searched for Bob in your Other Springfield? He never appeared in my town enough times for the quest, but revisiting Other Springfield, he was always there.

I don’t know about a Super hero specific event. Bart had to tell a scary story and Burns went to Dr. Lenny’s castle.

I just hate super hero updates… the first time I stopped playing for awhile. The second I plodded through it didn’t care. This time ugh EA seriously?! Do a revamp of Stonecutters! That’s what got me playing and I always get items released from that event that I couldn’t get because I was just starting
Me too! Super heroes was my least favorite event. And yes! Love, love, love stone cutters! Thar was my absolute fave event!!!
Though I enjoyed Superheroes 1 & 2, and so short into this update I can’t tell, but I agree with you that a Stonecutters 2 event would be nice 🙂

Dont jump the gun on the possibility of another super hero event. EA has been dumping this stuff on us at least three or four times now. It’s a clearing house. They’re trying to sell you stuff you didn’t buy before. This game has matured, and EA knows there are a lot of players out there that have nothing left to buy except old event stuff. Having said that- it sure looks like that they’re hinting at another super hero event. I’m think we will get a big event next week. It would fit with the patterns of past events.

Two buildings- meh, but buildings at 60 each aren’t too bad. But one is on fire so it fits well behind my Fire Station.

Got to build up my donuts, which are approaching my “Zero Limit” and I still need to consid r Senior Ding Dong which is expensive but does have a nice bonus
