Update: 10:45am ET March 2nd….”sticking” this to the top of the site as some of you are having server issues again. Use this post to discuss. All the same links still apply. However, I have not seen an update regarding the outage on EA’s Twitter as of yet. I’ll keep checking and keep you informed.

According to EA’s Twitter from last night, they were doing some maintenance on the servers…

UPDATE: FYI EA is now saying the TSTO related issues right now are not related to maintenance. They completed the maintenance a few hours ago. It appears it’s directly a TSTO issue and they’re working on it. They help crew on twitter is directing players here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Simpsons-Tapped-Out/connection/td-p/6659157 (although I don’t know why there’s no new info there…but i’m guessing to at least put a me too in)
It appears that the hardest hit areas are the UK and Europe (with some outages in other places as well)…check out this map:

(usually) Doesn’t make sense for them to write an update for compensation if they’re still working to get players back in…

The game was down for about 15 minutes for me last night.
Changing the subject……..This event is sooooooooooo boring. I finished the quest days ago, and won all of the prizes too. We still another week of this! WTF? Bonuts are nice I guess, though I don’t really need them thanks to KEM farming. I might take a break from the game until the next event or mini event or whatever. Yawn.

Just discovered I’m at the same point as you are. It will still take a day and a half to get a round of bonuts, versus KEM farming which generates many more every four hours.
I actually scaled down my KEM farm due to having an excess of sprinkles and I’m looking at doing it again until the next event comes along. Maybe I will have to turn in my addict card…..
Please what is KEM farming ?
Kwik-E-Mart farming. KEMs yield loads of XP when built (takes 4 hours) and can be sold for 1/4 of the purchase price. So especially if you get your bonus % up and buy time on the XP collider (multiplies XP by five), you can get level up donuts a lot faster. You build, harvest donuts, sell, buy again and build, etc.
I have enough bonus % so 1XP from the Simpson’s house, for example, gives me 32XP when I turn the collider on (costs me 2.5 donuts per day). I harvest at least 6 donuts every 4 hours from my little KEM garden (25 KEMs) and still make close to $1 million per day from character tasked and buildings if I harvest four times per day and also lets me guess to get 3 donuts (second and third tries cost $50,000 each). I need 1 million XP per donut game because I’m at max level 939.
If I need a lot more donuts for something, if my cash is high enough then I can increase my garden size for quite a while before I nearly go broke. I was able to clear out the doomsday mystery box, nearly clear out the winter mystery box (plus buy an army of bonus Snowball ice statues), and get at least six tries at the Valentine mystery box that way.

I’m with you. Might be time to properly design my new area.
I’m so bored with the event that I’m completing all of the quest lines before the event ends just to be done with them. Then I can take a much needed break from the game until the next event or mini event comes along. I usually wait until the event is over before completing all of the various quest lines that come with new characters, buildings and decorations.

Thanks for the update! I was kicked off last night at about 10PM PST. Haven’t been able to get on since than. Decpite uninstalling and reinstalling the game twice.

2:30pm Eastern time and I was able to get into my B game ok from iPad.. able to log out of one Origins account and log into the second account. Lost 2-3 rounds of event currency, but oh well. Still another week for event, so still time. Thx for updating this site!
Ontario here. Me and my husband and everyone I know that plays is having the same issue in our area. We were booted out of the game yesterday and can’t log back in. I think it’s weird that EA is saying it’s a TSTO issue when I can get in just fine if I play anonymously. It’s signing in on EA that is the issue. Frustrating that it is happening during an event. Let’s hope they prolong the event to make up this time. Those Ruffians aren’t going to clear themselves! 🙄😤
I really wish they would quit messing with the zoom feature. A lot of us feel the same way; it makes it difficult to see our Springfields. I can’t find enemies to tap during events. I can’t find Maggie. I can’t decorate my Springfield. Even if I could, I wouldn’t be able to see it too enjoy it. I’ve spent so much money on donuts to obtain items I can’t even look at. I know EA pays attention to us on this website, but not at a small scale. Would it be possible to do a poll about it in the future? I can’t imagine why anyone would want it this close, but when they have it set up to zoom out, you can still get as close as it is now, so it wouldn’t be detrimental to those who enjoy it close for us to be able to have the option to zoom out.
I know this seems like it’s not related, but my Springfield just changed to zoomed in after this update and that’s why I’m mentioning it. What are some of everyone’s thoughts on the matter?
No change in my game, it’s the same as it always was. Might be a glitch that only affects a few people?

Just adding a ‘me too’ here and on the EA support page – according to the outage map I’m not in an affected area (Canberra Australia) but am still locked out 16 hours after I first had a problem signing in. Oh well, guess I’ll just take comfort in the fact that I’m not alone. Happy non-tapping everyone!

Germany: occasional kick-outs over the day but reconnection always worked. (Vodafone, mobile and DSL)
Were you able to log in and out of your game? Because I was logged in to my B game and had no problem playing that, but it wouldn’t let me log out, so I couldn’t get into my A game.
I was (and am, still occasionally connection drops either mobile and WIFI) always able to reconnect at the first attempt.
Possible reasons: Provider (different gateways / connection routes) – unlikely for such a widespread problem,
Game data (I think we had this issue before) – your games contain some gremlin (or no gremlin in your B game) that refuses connection at a certain point,
and last not least EA server problems (which I think is less likely, for every posting describes a different problem, and you have two games, one behaving normal, the other faulty).
Having got the final prize this morning I think I’m just going use this as an extra excuse to have a break from the game for a few days. I’m sure if anything important happens in game I can trust this site to let me know about it.
