Friday Filler – A Primo Video and My Family In The Mob

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

Well…good ol’ EA has brought us a whole new bunch of characters guaranteed to offend. As I have said in tons of other posts,  EA/Gracie are equal opportunity offenders when it comes to making fun of cultures…and this one is loaded with ways to be offended, if you take the time to do so.

I don’t.

I guess it’s because I realize that the Simpsons have always been based on lampooning virtually every aspect of our lives in some way. So, unless they come up with a Cranky Old Gray-Haired, Fat Guy who is a TSTO blogger that laughs at anyone who takes the game too seriously, I won’t be offended.

That said, you have to admire a group who has no issue making fun of motor cycle gangs, religious figures, the mob and even the Pope…because they clearly aren’t in fear of retribution.

I was equally delighted to get Primo (who is a stereotype of a stereotype of Italian mob gumbas) and the Pope (who makes me roll on the floor laughing when he vapes a cross while “begin cool”).  They are both hilarious…and helps remind us to not take everything so seriously.

This is great…until real life comes into play, and someone gets whacked. My family has a story about this exact reality…

Should I Spend Donuts on the Pope and St. Paul’s Basilica?

Update: In game update just came through.  The Pope can now do heists.  I’ve updated below accordingly.

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Let the heisting begin! The latest event in Springfield, The Springfield Job, is all about pulling off elaborate Heists…well not too elaborate Homer is involved…in a bet between two Nuclear Power Plant owners.

TSTO App Store Update Available

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

There is an app store update available in your store (iOS/Android/Amazon).  This is NOT for new content.  My guess is this is an attempt to fix the Rollback Glitch many of you have been having.

You’ll have to let me know if this attempt is successful…

If you don’t have the glitch, you’ll still need to download the update. This way your game will be on the same version as your neighbors (and it won’t impact your tapping).

Those of you with the glitch you’ll have to let me know your results with the update!

Currency Confusion

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Popping in real quick with a note about The Springfield Jobs currency.  Some of you (ok many of you) are getting confused with this event for some reason on the currencies.  This event is just like every other event when it comes to currency.  There are 2 different types of currency….Prize Track and Currency.

Prize Track currency is for unlocking prizes in the Prize Track.  This changes for each Act.  So each Act the Prize Track Currency will change to something different.  (you can see each currency on the neighbor’s screen)

For Act 1 it’s Pictures…they look like this:

This will change when Act 2 starts and again when Act 3 starts.

Crafting currency is for unlocking/buying craftable items at Plunderer Pete’s.  This remains the same for the entire event.  Crafting currency will NOT change from one Act to the next.  So feel free to stockpile crafting currency once you’ve hit the 20% bonus on heists. In fact, many have been suggesting to do so.

Crafting currency is Plunders….they look like this:

So when people tell you to stockpile crafting currency, they’re referring to these: .

Remember, prize track currency changes for each Act.  So these  will go away when Act 2 starts and you’ll start with something else.  And crafting currency remains the same for the entire event.  So these  aren’t going anywhere until the event ends.

Hope that helps those of you having difficulty with this!  Remember it’s the same as every other event…

Should I Spend Donuts on the Returning Hugs Bunny, Shary Bobbins, Egg Council Guy or Easter Trees?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

In the midst of all the Heisting, Jesus has come back to Springfield to remind us that it is, in fact, the Easter Season.  That’s right, with Easter 3 days away it’s time to get a little holy (just a little…it is Springfield after all) with several returning Easter-ish themed items in our stores.

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

There are a total of 7 returning items, either from Easters past or just something to remind you of the resurrection.  I’m going to break these up into 2 different returning posts because, well, it’s a lot of content and let’s face it..it’s still lent we all should be punished a little bit..

Anywho, for this second of two posts, I’m going to tackle the Stand-Alone portion of the returning content…as in Stand-Alone Characters and trees…because when you’re a pink fluffy tree it’s likely you’ll always stand alone.

Wondering if you should add the Returning Hugs Bunny, Shary Bobbins, Egg Council Guy or Easter Trees to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding these throwbacks to your town…
