We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Still no new Simpsons this week…this is the last weekend (thank goodness!) until they return!
We’re in the final countdown of Bart Royale (another thank goodness moment!), with the event ending Wednesday. How have you fared with Act 3? Thoughts on the event in general?
And finally, how was your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

Just a general question…
What is the in-game currency good for now that land is purchased by tokens? You can’t use the green bucks buy tokens, you can’t use them to buy donuts, most of what you can buy is inexpensive or so huge (space-wise) that it doesn’t fit. I’d buy more decorations (trees, etc.) but I get limit warnings.
EA needs to sort this issue out.
I still have a load of land that I haven’t bought that can be purchased with currency…but, like you, am seeing a regular “You have 10050 buildings and decorations” warning. Yes…it makes for some pretty funny system anomalies…but it is worth it. FIX YOUR CODE EA!!!!!!!
Annoying:
1: daily challenges paying out heights currency, am maxed out and need more land.
2: railyard stuck on metal or any of the currency for days on end and not able to use the maxed out glass, plastic.
3: mountains greyed out in areas am developing, looks terrible and messy programing, give me bright colored mountains.
4: dialogue boxes popping up in front of animated decorations, for example, hellfish monument when tapped.
5: multiple character tasks, stonecutter, Moe’s, a send all to ect, or tap a building and every character associated with that building to do a task there.
6: premium costume, stop changing to the default costume
JUST SAYING, EA, TWEAK IT!!!!!
So a couple things:
1. How do i make my train go through the mountain?
2. What is this tiny disappearing elf I’ve seen in random places? Christmas leftovers?
You need the tunnel to go through the mountain, elf was a Christmas glass box when tapped the elf escapes, still trying to find mine
Is there another bracket challenge on the horizon?
This summer
My Wendell Borton and Erik will not go on 60min. tasks through Job Manager at Office of Unemployment. No biggie to just manually send them. It’s that I’ve been wondering if I have missed something along their quest lines at one point or another? Nothing is hi-lighted in either of their jobs lists and no tasks for them in the Bad Book. Some glitch possibly?
It might be because some of their permanent tasks earns event currency (Gas Cans for the prize track) instead of cash and xp so the Office of Unemployment only sends characters on the tasks that earn cash and xp.

OK, I have a confession to make.. I set my iPad alarm to go off every 4 hours. *hangs head down in shame*.. Yes I am THAT player. LOL But I have to say, this event hasn’t been too exciting, so if I’ve forgotten my 4 hour alarm, I wasn’t too upset. I’m trying to think of TSTO events that were really fun for me.. I think the airport one was really neat There were trivia facts in it. I also liked the campfire spooky stories events with zombies. It has to be tough to come up with new stuff. Someone mentioned adding Krustyland in an event. That was be awesome! Happy Tapping!
I sometimes set an alarm to go off every 4 hours during events if I don’t have the final prize but I also sometimes forget to log in every 4 hours which can ruin the 3-5 log ins a day. I am focusing on saving the crafting currency and mainly buy the house frames, trenches and walls available since the event doesn’t end until Wednesday afternoon (2pm GMT) for me and I already got Water Baron Burns and his Mansion.
Usually the first major events of the year are really awesome with 2017 being Around the World ( or Destination Springfield), 2016 being the Casino event and 2015 being the first Superheroes event.
The first half of this event has been really cool (especially some of the craftables and prizes) but when Act 3 hit I was already bored of it not because of all the skins but the 6 week long event with the 4 hour cycle involved; at least during the recent Christmas event it was only 4 weeks, 2 acts and no 4 hour cycle (unless you count the battles in Act 2).
On iOS you can access the timer via the swipe-up menu. Mine is set to 3:55 with the Sci-Fi alarm tone 🙂 Same procedure every 4h (or 3:55 respectively): tap characters, harvest house farm, finish KEM, build new ones, set timer, then look for the rest (mini games etc.)
Does anyone accidentally tap on Buddha frequently because of how big and exactly-the-same-color-of-yellow-that-the-task-completed-thumbs-up-hands are?

I’m glad this event is nearly over. I think it’s the least interesting one since I started playing in 2013.
Wish list, wish list!
Totally loving the new boxes to get a chance at a random character, for so cheap. Have gotten new buildings, otherwise would’ve passed on! Loving EA is making it easier to get new characters so fast. Am a completionist after all, LOL
Would love a permanent storage box that we could just stick stuff into, that would give you the xp points and money on a daily tally, without having to keep the items in the game. Would love to decorate differently but need the mass amount of houses to generate income to farm. Looked at my character inventory and at this rate it will take about 3 years to get the rest of the characters, and skins, lol.
Appreciate the upped ability to get characters and everything the EA team is doing behind the scenes. Totally disagree with venting on EA. It IS a free game and it has been around a long time. They’ve gotten quite diverse with their theme ideas. It would be hard to make everybody happy, every single event! One of the best games out there, they set the bar high. I know. Have tried to download other games and gave up because TSTO is just so much better.
Changes I would like to see though, are little things that make decorating easier. Being able to put the houses all out in one space with a full fill on one item with one tap would be heavenly. Getting rid of some items that will never get xp points, ie rails I am looking at you would be great, but better to go into lost in space storage that just keeps track of what you put in, even if we do not have access to it, to just keep our income and xp points coming while still getting items out of our game. Also, a side bar where we could play past events… please EA just give access to your files. Totally want to play the Mayan event!
LOVING the quick tap of whatever we need to gather too, instead of always having to hunt. Really would appreciate that coming sooner or right off the bat, preferably. Makes the events way more fun and less tedious. Otherwise, thanks and looking forward to the next event! Thank you addicts too, for hosting this site. Makes the game far better. Hope EA appreciates you as much as we do!

Wow I liked all of your comment I don’t get why the complaying about events it is free. I don’t know how long I have been playing I started out when they had homer the barbarian long time. But if I did not like playing the game I would not still be here

I don’t know if this is symptomatic of the current sub-par event or if it’s just me but I feel like I haven’t had any neighboreeno visits in at least a month.

Since your neighbours are tapping ruffians and not buildings, you just don’t see it during the event.
I think it would be great to have a bracket contest regarding the upgrades and features we want in the game, not content. For example, it would be nice that those buildings that have the same task for multiple characters be able to send them there for that task, just like the recycling, heights, and airport. Also thinking a switch to turn off the money XP animations would be a desired feature. Rounding out my top three, have a secondary icon of available players instead of just one.
Reading my mind. Look out for it in the not near but not too distant future either.

Springfield Heights Hidden XP question………
I have bought every building and hut and maxed each upgrade for all of them.
WHAT I BELIEVE IS TRUE
1) Except for the huts, placing or storing the upgrade parts of buildings does not have any affect on my hidden XP.
2) Placing or storing upgraded parts of beach huts does effect hidden XP.
MY SH HIDDEN XP QUESTION
I have now 10 car garages / hotels / office buildings / etc…… making it a horrible design. I believe storing them will reduce my hidden XP, but I read someone saying you can store some of those main SH buildings and not loose any hidden XP. Can someone confirm if I have to keep all SH buildings in my town or if I can store them without losing hidden XP?
After you have taken your SH buildings to level 2, you can store all but the main buildings and still maintain your bonuses. You cannot store the main buildings, tho, or you will lose the bonus. All the Beach Hideaway pieces do need to be out…they each have a seperate bonus. I know the private islands need to be at least level 2, and to update the beach hideaway fully with all items out for 20% each hideaway.
Do each classic and modern mansion, valet parking, and condo need to be upgraded to level 2 to unlock their hidden xp as well? Or can you just keep them level 1 and still get the hidden xp bonus on those?
They can remain at level 1, and you’ll receive the hidden bonus percentage, so long as it’s placed out anywhere in your Springfield.
The Private Islands are the only ones that must be kept at level 2 or higher to earn the hidden bonus percentage.
Holy crap, I had NO IDEA about the hidden bonus percentage!!
So, what is the highest hidden bonus % you can have for all of these items together?
I have only one beach hideaway with all items out. So, you’re saying that’s 20% for everything, for just one? I can get 4 more at 40 donuts each, right? So that’s 100% hidden bonus total for the complete beach hideaways?
Also, I have all my private islands out and updated (3 total, right?) x 1% = 3%…
And finally, I *do not* have all of my SH buildings out, because I had no idea they earned a hidden bonus and I stored them away. Now I will buy land so I can get them all out of inventory. So according to the chart % listings for each building – if I were to put them all out, it would be an additional 150%?
SH buildings 150% + Beach Hideaways with all items 100% + Private Islands 3% = 253% bonus and xp – so if I have 270% on my current CoM, it’s really going to calculate like it’s 523%??? and how can I tell?
Yes, so if you have all the current maximum buildings out in your Springfield with the Private Islands at least at level 2, you would earn 253%. However, some people took advantage of a glitch and have more buildings than allowed. For instance, I have 32 Deluxe Condos (for an extra 22%) and 12 Valet Parkings (for an extra 6%) in my Springfield, for a total hidden percentage of 281%.
To test the value, check your XP level. Click on one building with a high XP value (so not the Simpsons House, but maybe when you build the KEM for 2,000 XP). Check your XP after you click on it. The difference will tell you how much XP you earned instead of 2,000 XP and from that you can calculate your percentage.
Your right Safi…I went back and re-read the original post. Sorry, guys, you only need level one on the mansions, business center and parking garage.
1) The Beach Hideaways (and parts) affect your visible XP bonus (C-o-M), not your hidden one.

3) You have to keep the buildings in your town for their bonus, just like every other bonus item. Nevermind, when you’ve gained a reasonable bonus, let’s say 1000% C-o-M, you may reduce the ugly Heights crap 😉
Unfortunately you have to place them in town to benefit from the hidden xp bonus.
They are the ugliest buildings in the game! I have stored all mine now I have land issues.
All the bits to the beach hideaways have to be on display too. 😕
I have a question. So this is a big event, so next we are likely to experience slight down time (a day? A week?) followed by either a mini event or an episode tie in or both? Or perhaps they will open up older events like they did following the stonecutter mini event?
How do these things usually go? A st pats mini event in a little while before Easter?

What character collection are Mayan Marge and Mayan Homer part of? I swear I’ve looked through every collection twice and can’t find them.
They’re OLLLLD skins for Homer and Marge. Skins never use to show up in character collections.

As far as I know they are not part of any character collection. Same for a bunch of the earlier costumes – Mayan Homer was introduced in the very first Halloween-event – and even for a few newer ones.
THOH XXIII, I believe. And only the Mayan God is shown in the Character List

So excited, it’s almost spring! 🌺 New York State got walloped with 9 inches of snow. ☃️ We’re supposed to get more on Wednesday. ❄️I’m so ready to see leaves on the trees and flowers in my garden… and can’t wait for our swim club to open up.⛱ Now that I have taken early retirement and am not handcuffed to a job, I’m seriously thinking of moving back to Florida.. 🌴so if any Sunshine State addicts have any suggestions of where (some place with lots to do and near a Whole Foods..lol!) please let me know. I wouldn’t mind a planned community… I checked out The Villages, but didn’t like the cookie cutter houses and it was in the middle of the state. I’d rather be closer to the ocean. I lived in Gainesville when I went to UF, (Go Gators! 🐊) and worked in Jacksonville and Panama City. I don’t know much about the rest of the state. Ideas?
Look at either Tampa St. Pete or Sarasota (my parents retired there and really like it). The west coast is more mellow, less over developed and has just as much to do.
I’ve been to that area, and it’s gorgeous. Next time you talk to your parents, could you please ask them if they could recommend a planned community there? I’m looking for one of those active adult communities that has lots to do. Thanks so much for your input! 🙂
My favorite places are St Augustine and the Cocoa Beach/Melbourne area. Have lived in both areas and I like that they are not as over-developed as a lot of the state, but they still have things to do and nice beaches. I grew up in Brevard County and still love the area…it has the Space Center, super wide rivers for sailing, great beaches and cruise ships out of Port Canaveral, and only an hour away from all that Orlando has to offer. It also has lovely old homes on the rivers and lots of artists and crafts people in Cocoa Village with events there most weekends. Check it out…hope you find a great place😊.
Cocoa Beach is a real place? I always thought that was were Tony Nelson and his Jeannie live, somewhere in TV-land.
Yup, it’s real. I loved the show as a kid and always got a good laugh when the scenery had mountains in the backgroud (sorry, no mountains in Florida). It was filmed in California, obviously, with only stock footage of Cape Kennedy and the Air Force base thrown in. The city looks nothing like what they showed on tv and none of the houses, businesses or restaurants on the show ever existed. Guess that’s “Show Biz” 😄.

And good luck with finding a new place of residence. My brother lived in West Palm Beach for many years and loved it. I am a Notherner so prefer the cooler weather we have here. The beach and the sun do sound tempting though.😎
Hi all. Happy Oscar’s day. I haven’t commented in a while. I’m bored with this event (from the beginning), and generally bored with the game overall. I’m going to take a break from the game (of sorts) when this event is over. I’m going to switch to playing once or twice a day at the most until the next event or mini event. I’m tired of spending so much time on the game. I’ve KEM farmed my doughnut level up to over 3800 doughnuts. I don’t need to farm anymore for a while (if ever again). I’ve got just about everything except for a few odds and ends. I’m not bragging. It’s just the truth. I’m sure I’m not the only one. Please don’t troll me for saying these things. I know I have nothing to complain about.
I really liked the Christmas event, and this current event was a HUGE let-down. I had high hopes for the game going forward, but now I’m not so sure if EA really cares about originality anymore. The game events have become much to predictable and formulaic. It’s been this way for at least 2-3 years now (with the exception of the last Christmas event). It annoys me that EA won’t revisit the one event that almost everyone can agree was the best – The Stone Cutter event. I know it would not be something “new”, but at least it would feel “right”.

I think a lot of people is getting a little bit (or alot) tired of the game, everybody needs a break, or two or three…. Specially if we where playing since the beginning.
My neighbours (hubby, brothers-in-law, and our second Springfield) quit playing almost a year ago, we wish we could send they donuts to my game 😜.
Had to laugh at your definition of taking a break: “playing once or twice a day at the most” 😉
Well I don’t want to take a complete break from the game, because I don’t want to miss anything. But on the other hand- I’m tired of the four hour grind. I don’t need to farm for doughnuts anymore. I’m really only interested in playing the game when there’s an event or mini-event going on. Or when there’s offers of things to get with doughnuts, etc. You know what I mean.
Just wait until the next Black Friday mystery box session. No doubt you could misplace those 3800 donuts quickly.
I get it though. I’m past 3200 sprinkles and that’s after removing 10 KEM from my farm. Might scale back another 15 to have only 45 (easy to clear in one fell swoop!). That way there is still an offset of donuts accumulating for the new premium characters they add.

I have been busy during the past two weeks, but finished the event around last tuesday, so now I’m collecting my bonuts at least 3 per day 🙂 because I only play the game 3 times per day, hopefully I have enough 🍩 to buy one beach hideaway 🙂
Is it just me, or is act 3 the lamest? I’ve only been logging in 2-3 times a day, and only to earn bonuts and I still earned Water Baron Burns today.
Hoping the next event is more exciting.

So out little City (& province) made in into a national investigative news program last Sunday but not for good reasons… My city has water for approximately 125 days before we hit Day Zero – no more water! Fortunately we are in a better position than Cape Town for at least two reasons: The first being that we are MUCH smaller, so a few good rains in the right area can make a big difference whereas Cape Town needs good rain for at least 3 years to see a noticeable improvement; and secondly our city can pump water from the nearby Fish River to supplement our supply. But this pumping scheme cannot deliver enough water for the whole town so we will probably only have water every second or third day. Fortunately my new place has access to a rain water tank for flushing loos etc but things are dire unless we get good rain in the right areas… 😞
People are confused because our city is looking so green right now but we have no water…? From what I understand it’s because the big rains aren’t falling in the catchment areas and also that a lot of the rain we’ve had is orographic rainfall (when a cloud hits a mountain) which is good for plants etc but doesn’t result in runoff into the streams and rivers. So I’ve altered my rain dance to get the right rain in the right areas – here’s hoping it works! 😄
Very little going on in my SF right now. Still no designing happening and just going through the motions collecting bonuts. Will finish quest lines for new characters/buildings in the down time between events. But I did manage to fix my lawnmower and was able to get my grass looking better which was more important than designing today 😄😄😄

Hello & happy Sunday , I’ve got problems with making homer buty champagne in much ado about Mindy quest. I’ve contacted EA about it numerous times & they’ve given me a few things to try & nothing seems to trigger it. I have the shrub with flowers that keeps telling me to send homer, but it isn’t in homers text box. I’ve hidden all kwik marts, have only Mindy & homer out with apu just in case, for days on end, still nothing. I’ve put Mindy and her place in storage multiple times& brought back out..it’s frustrating. Has anyone else had this problem & what ideas do you have. I’ve googled the issue & it seems it is a problem out there. Some people tho seem to have it resolved, but I’m hoping maybe after this event and homer has nothing to do maybe it will trigger. Sorry for the lengthy rant, but it’s frustrating! Happy Sunday again!
Yes, same problem here. I checked out EA’s forums & a lot of people have issues with it. There seems to be multiple ways to try & get the quest working, but for a lot of people it simply doesn’t. Not sure what we can do.

I think that’s the Jet Engine Bike that is available in the game for donuts. It would of been cool to get the Outland outfits for Bart, Homer, Lisa, and Marge (in particular Lisa and Marge to get involved with in the event), the task for Homer to go speeding around town on his ATV would be hilarious and a joint task with Bart and Seymour Skinner flying across the screens would be cool.
Technically they do. Look closely at the jet engine bike. It looks exactly the same, just without the logo on the engine. I agree that they should’ve added an animated task for Homer, even if it was on a bike that didn’t come with a bonus.
