The new mini-event is live in Springfield! Provided you’ve downloaded the app store update, that hit yesterday, the event should start up for you when you launch Springfield.
Things kick off by requiring you to build a Brown House. And then you’ll launch the mini event, with the first task requiring Homer to build a Mystery box, 4hrs. And you’ll need Springfielders to collect State Pasta.
I’ll be back in a bit with more info as I run through it…
A quick note about the start time. Totally my mistake guys I’m really sorry. I wasn’t thinking about time conversion yesterday, and saw 1400 and was like “ok that’s 10am et”. It’s not. Daylight Savings Time hasn’t started yet, in the US. It starts during this event (March 10th), so EA accounted for Daylight Savings in the start time despite it not starting yet. Which means, when this event ends 1400 UTC will be 10am ET, but when it started 1400 UTC is 9am ET. So what’s the point of this? Well a really complicated way to say I’m really sorry I screwed up the start time. And don’t forget, in the US, Daylight Savings starts on March 10th.
Note on the Amazon Zoom issues: Some players are reporting it’s fixed, others are saying it’s not. I think it depends on if you’re using Kindle or Fire and which version of each. But honestly, I’m not sure. I think if they fixed it on some, others may be following. If you can hold out a little longer…
Also, per Poklfil in the comments, Galaxy Tab S3 issues are now resolved.
This is your typical mini-event. Follow a questline to unlock the prizes, with some premium stuff thrown in.
The Mini-Event Leaves Springfield on March 12th. This is a Tuesday, so you have slightly less than 2 weeks to complete. End time is listed as 1400UTC (which by then will be 10am ET)

A TON of New Land was released with this mini-event! Thanks to Super Safi, who counted, there are 240 NEW tiles of land that were added today! And according to our resident math man…”It would take 4 months of twice a day every 12 hours Golden Goose to unlock all the tiles”
Collect All Feature!
Yes, my friends, you’ve been asking for YEARS for this and it’s finally a reality! There is now a Collect All Feature in Springfield! Well, you have to unlock it, but it’s available!
This Collect All Feature comes to us via the Sky Finger Monument! I’m going to write up a detailed post with the dialogue etc, but for now, know that it comes via the Get to the Point questline. This is triggered by Quimby and is separate from the prize track questline. Once completed you’ll unlock the Sky Finger Monument…
This will be your Collect All feature. Every 24hrs you can tap it to instantly collect all cash and XP in Springfield.

Oh boy…. land…. much land…. Excited!?!?!!? OOOOhhhhh…. mmmmm no.
I think many of us (sneaky, hidden within the forest behind underhanded bushes….with an ooozing gasp of “bwuuuuhhhh”) thinking; no no no no…. why? Its fun redesigning a town but this is much tooooo much. (Do you feel the negative vibe here… I’m sick, already 3 days, flu infested son-a-priifjgrrrrraaaaahhhgglllruuuffgrttdssshhhtiiieeeeeeeeee, and hold back the gesundheit please…lousy miserable mnmmfmmffffnmmaaarghh… ).
I’m lost, it’s like looking through a black wormhole, no work shall progress, infinite despair 🙁

I printed the map several years ago, and as buildings were released in TSTO, I highlighted them on the map. It’s really hard to match things up though…you can get close, but unless you leave empty spaces, you’re looking at a lot of re-designs when the missing buildings show up.
Guess that’s true even if you don’t follow the map layout though…
Like my statement (up above, over there yep..(Super Safi’s reply), I’m gonna give it a shot. One thing, we could use some curved roads in TSTO though, but hey that’s zitpicking..nitpacking…logbagging… (I’m gonna shut up now). For you the same: my sincere thanks for yur succour 🙂
Hi everybody…just discovered a very profitable glitch😍. I had 10 Modern Mansions in group storage, so I pulled and placed them (going to do RTT farming). Went to check my inventory in Springfield Heights, cuz sometimes a glitch shows up and they are a few there also, so I can score a couple “freebies”. It showed I had three there (yipee!) so I placed them…and it just kept placing mansions!
I stopped at 110 extra buildings (a whopping 110 X 5% free boost) cuz I had no more free land readily available, and now it’s gone back to normal. If you have any high bonus SH buildings in group storage…clear some land, pull them out, then go look in the regular inventory and see if they are there also. Just keep placing till you run out of land.
I went ahead and synced to be sure they would all still be there…and they are, as well as a 550% bump in bonus percent. Good luck tappers. 👍😁

One of my neighbours has over 50 modern mansions, I assumed they had used some kind of cheat, but maybe it was the same as you described.
There was a glitch a few years ago that did allow you to exceed the limit of 10. I have 34 resorts and 15 modern mansions courtesy that glitch.
I tried that this morning. As I didn’t already have any in storage, I stored 3 of my Modern Mansions. When I went back to retrieve them from storage they were gone. I can’t find them anywhere in storage nor can I build anymore to replace them because the game still thinks I have them I guess. Bummer.
Did you group store them by accident? Maybe look in the group storage area?🤔Hope you find them.👍
I JUST need Giuseppe and Reagan, so kinda sad they weren’t in the mystery box. I bought Washington and now the box is gone.. oh well, leaves an opportunity for July. Surprised they jumped the normal July mini event by a few months though.
Free land tokens at GGR… if you’re smart enough to figure it out.
Also it reverts back to cash payout when you get enough tokens to buy all the available land. It no longer matters if you buy all the land or not. It stops paying out tokens when you collect enough.
I have a question about collect all Feature, would it they be a max that we can collect at one tome, since I know if we leave town and come back before it all done we can lose out on xp and don’t get as many donouts as should
HELP‼️.. i have bug again…. i cannot do the event. it’s frozen. i click on it and won’t open. every time i do the daily challenge with krusty protmotion it freezes me up for anything. can’t put anyone to a task. esp the new event. just show people walking around. i had this happen B4 and took days for it to go away. ugh. logging in and out or rebooting didn’t help.
Try uninstall and reinstall
If you are on an iPhone or iPad.. push your home button twice and remove all the apps running in the back ground. This has helped me a few time when I would have something lock up in the game.

Buildings only is how i’m understanding it. I’m working on the post now, hopefully it’ll be up within the next hour. As long as work doesn’t keep pulling me away.

Maybe it would create a huge freez if you clear buildings and over 300 characters
Have you completed it’s entire questline, including Homer’s 4 and 8 hour tasks?
I don’t want to go all X-Files on everyone, but does anyone else think EA has been replaced by aliens? Events with reasonable goals and great dialogue, more land, and now an item that will clear all the jobs.
I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords!
Oh, and if you’re not too busy infiltrating the highest levels of government, could we get a little more land in West Springfield? Asking for a friend…

So When does it really start and end? According to the article you typed the mini event both starts and ends on March 12th and lasts about 2 weeks. So is March 12th an incredibly long day now?
Now it apparently starts on March 10th and ends on March 12th while lasting nearly 2 weeks. You have a very strange way of understanding time…

I just went back to App Store. It says “open” but when I clicked to get description of app it had “update” available so I’m good to go now. Strange the top level and drill down don’t match. I hope I remember this next time I’ve been “patiently” waiting to update all day. I think this is same solution I’ve used past several updates.

I am on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and cant get the update to download from the play store, it just repeatedly times out. I have tried the usuall fixes & searched the forums for info with no success. Anyone else still have this issue? I have concerns about a complete delete & reinstall since I cannot get the content to download. Paranoia has crept in……..lol
Happy to report I was able to download the update like there was never a problem, the exact same time the EA rep called me back! D’Oh…
I’m really disappointed that they have released 240 new tiles of land, without any way of getting them if you missed the Golden Goose Reality, (which sadly I did, due to a vacation in the new year). I was already 190 short of getting a full set of tiles, now this is 430.
Doing the maths, with an average of 12 tiles per event, (none for this event though) this would take 36 events, or approximately 6 years, providing they don’t add more land in the meantime.
This is demoralising.
It will likely be coming back…but if you don’t have GGR you likely don’t have all the current land open as it as. They’re still adding land via land tile prizes.
At the moment it is something like one land token a month, through daily challenges, and I know I don’t have all land open at the moment, I’m missing 190 tiles (well was before they added 240 today) for a completed square. At the moment all I have is some sort of irregular shape, with little space to place new things in some sort of managed fashion.
Plus tokens from main events, don’t forget those as well. Usually 6-8/each
If it’s only 8 an event, instead of 12, that would take 54 events to get the land that exists now, 9 years worth!
So, has the GGR gone back to giving land tiles to those that bought all the available land?
What’s the best strategy, keep collecting free land tokens from GGR and wait to use them, or cash land tokens in and hope that GGR will always go back to producing land tiles every time new land is released?

The best strategy is don’t use GGR for donuts. You’re better off farming. Just use it to unlock land. They just released over 200 tiles, it’ll be a while before you can earn those from GGR. And likely awhile before they release more land. Just get what you need.
i feel stupid. cause i just dont grasp this GGR. I have it. also have plenty of tiles land open. just never got or understand the donut option with it. cause i didn’t get that option. to me this is confusing. 🤔
It won’t appear until ALL available land is purchased. That’s why you’ve never seen it.
Don’t think of GGR for donuts, ignore that factor. It produces land tiles, that’s all you need to know. 🙂
But what’s the point of having all that land? As soon as you put something in it you’ll hit the item limit! Maybe if i redesign everything and include LOTS of water i can do something. But i’m really lazy right now, I have some ideas but it will cost a lot of time to move everything
I mean, i have yet to receive an item limit warning. So i think it’s all about how you design. (I put a lot of stuff in storage too)

Me too…I really wanted the houseboat…would love to have it set up on a river (like the venice waterfront homes) with a seawall and a dock.😁

Since downloading the update, my building timers are all out of whack and the Town Portrait function is advising me that I don’t have enough storage for the portrait, which would require 9.56GB of free space. Yes, GB not MB! My iPad has 13GB free but I don’t need a lifesized portrait anyway.
When I saw that we now have 240 new blocks of land available I thought I would have a stroke. Then I just sighed and started redesigning again. My wife has left me, the dog ate my breakfast and all the fish jumped out of the aquarium. Why?

My building timers wigged out also, but in a good way.
I cleared my town, collected my cash and donuts (for all the xp), and left the game. When I came back a few minutes later, it synced before opening and then let me clear and collect everything again…good fun! 💰👍🥰
With all that new land, is there any word on a higher item limit? I am picturing large haunted forest in the back with the Halloween updates, but that’s a lot of trees 😬

I think the Amazon glitch is only fixed if you purchased the special version of the Kindle Fire that was on sale at 123 Fake St. (in other words it isn’t fixed at all…not terribly surprising given EA support flat out said they weren’t going to fix it).
I’ve had a few different people tell me it was fixed. One said it was fixed on their one kindle but not the other.
Let’s not insult those who are relaying info to help the community.

I have no idea what anyone has been talking about. I play on a Kindle Fire and never experienced this zoom glitch at all. So we all seem to be having different experiences with this. I just thought I’d add that the Kindle glitch isn’t a universal problem in the first place, so the fix for it might not be universal either.
My game is working great now on my old 6″ kindle. It’s the only thing I have that’s 16g and my game is too big to fit on anything else. I’m happy.
Looks like it will be an interesting one and instantly bought the court with judge harm.

Hi Alissa, can you make a note to people too that the Galaxy Tab S3 issues are now resolved. We had the issue of missing mountains and buildings disappearing when you scrolled over Springfield. All fixed now and I’m doing the happy dance as I don’t have to use my old slow tablet anymore 😀 😀 😀

Anybody notice that the building timings have changed? My residential buildings timer is confused – the houses are not resetting for cash even though I tapped it.

One thing I usually do in that situation is delete the app from my iOS device and then re-download it anew from the App Store. (Just make sure you remember your username and password if this is the first time you’re ever doing this)
Thanks Safi. I got it to update by shutting down, turn back on, go to settings and toggle the auto-update on and off a few times. That did get the updates to show up in the App Store. For some reason I have this problem quite a few times with the TSTO updates. Next time I’ll know what to do.
I always have a fear of deleating an app and not being able to get it back without losing all my progress. I’ve tried it with other apps and lost everything.
I’ve noticed lately I need to search for the app in the store and select it, after a second it switches from open to update..
