I have recently started KEM farming and have 100 KEMs. I read that someone said they make 100 donuts every 4 hours. I only get 7 even with the xp collider. I have approximately 200% bonus Xp
It seems like you might be below 939. Once you hit that, expect your donuts to go up to like 9-12 per hour if you always choose three and have the $$ to sustain that.
After that, it’s really all about %. Whoever mentioned those donut numbers probably has an incredibly high percentage and is thus able to reap a lot more per KEM. I recently decided to explore this space and really increased my percent to the point where every four hours, I end up with that 100 donut mark.
So I ask myself: to what end? If premium items typically cost 150-200 donuts, the rate you’re earning seems like you will be able to afford most things you want (assuming we ever have another event with premium items).
I think I’ll probably group store my % items and declutter a bit as well as make the bubble popping feeling of KEM farming more fun :). Why did I do it? I guess just to see if I could. I now firmly believe that you can happily farm all you need at percentages like you’re talking about (you might want to try to boost it a little bit if you find you’re not getting enough donuts or $$) and afford all the things you need. No need for the multiple thousand % 🙂

Thank you tapper friends!!!!!! I saw a comment on this thread about fallout boy and the radstation fortress. So tonight I sent EA a plea for Fallout Boy mentioning that I bought the Radstation fortress (along with over 700 items from the yearbook) and within 10 minutes I got an email from Sanjeev that they have added the character into my account!!!! Thank you thank you. This is the second “freebie” I’ve gotten because I saw a couple weeks ago about Blackbeard and his flying fortress (which I bought the pirate but didn’t know about his quest (I have 300+ quests still I’m slowly going through so I might never have gotten to it) and they added that one too. Thanks guys you guys are awesome. Every email I get that says TSTO I keep hoping it’s from Alissa saying a new event is coming! But I still enjoy all the conversations.

Every time I open the game now it asks me to verify my age and tells me I have to download an update of 1697 MB to continue. I download the update and there’s absolutely nothing new. Is anyone else having this issue? I tried signing out/signing in, turning phone off/on, deleting/reinstalling the app.
This has been written about a number of times. But, it means you need to clear some memory on your device. Too many pics…too much music? Hard to say… but it can’t upload the game without enough memory to do so, so it just keeps forcing you to download it again and again.

Cranking up the smoker today…chicken halves, a rack of baby backs, and a small turkey cut in half (I love Publix! 😍). Brined all the poultry for 24 hours, marinated the ribs and now we’re ready to go!
First time smoking a turkey…low and slow…can’t wait for dinner time.👍😄

We smoke turkey a lot (every Thanksgiving), always comes out so good! Love our smoker, one of my favorite ways to cook (as long as the weather is right)
I like it a lot more now that I bought a propane smoker and a wi-fi thermometer that has an Ipad app. It alerts me when the cooker temp is getting too low (not so much, now, with propane) so I don’t have to keep checking every half hour. Just add more applewood pellets every 2 hours or so and we’re set.😁
I received the Radstation Air Fortress through the Yearbook Mystery Box, but I was not able to complete the quest associated to it because I did not have Fallout Boy. So I contacted EA help via e-mail on Friday. They replied me back immediately, solved the problem (they gave me the character) and were very helpful. This doesn’t seem to me a behavior of a company that has the plan of shutting down the game.
However, as I stated in a comment in a previous post, there are hints that can be interpreted as a Doomsday signal.
So, at the end, I am confused. I think we will receive same answers in the next days. But if there is no update on Tuesday, I’ll start seriously panicking.

Used the down time to go through storage. Didn’t realize I had about about 150% hiding in storage. Mostly Springfield Heights buildings. I only had one of each out, now that I have space they’re out and hiding in a corner until inspiration hits me.
Also I had little piles here and there of items I didn’t know what to do with and moved them all to the same corner. My oh my. I have a lot of undesigned stuff. Found homes for much of it but most is decorations and I don’t have a habit of leaving a lot of open space so might have to incorporate it when new stuff finally gets added.
Lastly I’m kind of enjoying the down time to play with Homer, Bart avid Lisa. They have so many jobs I never get to see since they’re always working on event currency. Homer between a rock and a hard place. Hangar 18. Lisa and Bart tied to airplane propellers. Lisa, Milhouse and Martin putting on a play. Last week I found the break annoying, now I’m enjoying it which means something will happen this week.
Hanger 18 and the plane work well at Rommelwood…the rest of those items are stored in my town. I never did find a good place for Rock and a Hard Place and finally gave up trying, since it payed nothing anyway and had no bonus. 🤷♀️

I believe it took some time for the secret agent event to arrive last year. The break is welcome. I found a hysterical looney toons game Bugs Bunny Mayhem level up your cartoon players to brain each other with anvils dynamite etc. its a scream.

It’s a show called “Letterkenny”
Originally a Crave TV original series, it is also now on Hulu.
Be warned it is TV-MA mostly for language and suggestive situations, but it is also addictive and hilarious!
Centered mainly around a group of Farmers (Hicks) it is set in Letterkenny Ontario, Canada. There are also Sk8ers (Skids) and of course Hockey Players (self-explanatory) it follows their interactions during daily life with a whole host of other townsfolk & countrymen/women.
It begins:

At this point, i stopped farming. Was curious to see how high the max donut numbers are, but gave up after 54,400 and decided to see if i could hit max percentage points instead. Down to 24,000 donuts, and over 11,000%, by a lot, and could still go strong.
If anyone hit max on anything else aside from cash, please let me know what the numbers are. All there is left to do at this point. Lol

Hmm, that’s some pretty impressive numbers there. But personally I never felt any necessity to take things THAT far. I’m at about 1.500% right now and stopped deliberately increasing that value quite some time ago because I’m already more than okay with it. Have around 500 mil $ and 3.500 donuts now, even after buying about 150 Yearbook Mystery Boxes until it was empty. Regular store’s empty, vault’s empty, so I don’t see myself needing more anytime in the near future. I already get donuts faster than I can spend them and all those SH buildings, flags, vans, billboards, jet engine bikes, topiarys, nuclear warheads and torches already take up more than enough space, so I see absolutely no need to take that any further… when I started farming I did it in order for being able to afford some (or later all of the 😉 ) game stuff, not to increase my multiplier more and more and more. If I had 20k donuts more now I wouldn’t even know what to do with them 😀
While building my village, a screen popped up, showing that the amount of objects in my town reached a certain level. After placing more object it should have problems loading in future.
Did anyone here experience a similar situation and if so, what did you do? In other words: should I keep on placing more or should I stop? #luxuryissues

Those messages start popping up somewhere in the 7000 to 8000 pieces range. They will occasionally continue to pop up as you add more stuff to your town. Not to worry, the real cutoff is thousands of items away, so..no worries.😊

Had a good afternoon today, won 100 donuts at the Kwik-E-Mart, then picked Cossingtons, Crocy waters, and Gabbo and Arthur from the Yearbook.

Is there an issue with the magic finger, every so often I tap it and nothing happens, happened tonight and the finger reset to the 24hrs
Yes, I’ve had this happen too. Among other glitches.
You might try flipping to neighbour visits, then immediately back to your town when it does that. Keep an eye on where cash & xp was when you left and see if it increases when you get back.
I find that the finger tallies up about 1/2 of what’s out there, but I see a 700K XP increase by forcing a sync with the neighbour visit toggle.

If you do the neighbor thing (which is super convenient) be aware that if you go through multiple levels (e.g., two chances for bonuts), it will only register one level when you switch back. At least that is how it works when collecting a bunch of quest rewards.

My wish is that this break does mean they are finally trying to fix the game issues. I’m talking about the roll back glitch and not just the zooming issue. My town was too thoughtfully designed and I spent too much time collecting all the characters to accept EA’s previous “fix” of giving you a new town with some random characters. I was one of the first hit, so I’ve lived with it this long and will continue to if I must, but it’s just so frustrating. If they actually fixed it (the character button, my railyard, all the upgraded items, the unnecessary friendship points), I would be so grateful, I would buy a boatload of donuts as thanks.
That’s what I’ve been hoping for as well, just kinda like a soft-reboot sort of thing.

I have a few questions for the addicts who run this site.
Without getting into all the theories and conspiracies of what is going on with TSTO and EA, do you guys have any insight? I thought you guys had an inside connection with EA? Have they not shared any info with you in regard to if/when/what is next? Although lulls in the game do happen, this one feels different and seems uncharacteristic of the way EA has been pumping out content.
I apologize if you have already addressed these questions elsewhere. I have not had the time to catch the more recent pod casts nor read through all the blogs.

I think a lot of us are scared this is the end.
Maybe the beginning of the last chapter…but this movie isn’t over. If nothing hits this week…you can start worrying a bit. But, they can’t legally just stop, without warning…as people are still spending money on donuts. They would create an instant class auction lawsuit. So….chillax.
I’m sure that there must be an upcoming event to tie in with Easter.
What other (mobile) games do TSTO players like to play? Anyone have some suggestions?
If you like “casual” games, I’m currently playing a couple I can recommend… The first is “Best Fiends,” which I never thought I’d play…the ads I saw for it in another game just had me thinking that it was not my thing and more for tween-age girls or something! But then, I saw a video ad by their main spokesperson…. Her name is Kimberly Grossman and there was something so infectiously, genuinely, energetically enthusiastic about the way she did her pitch (and she’s just incredibly charismatic), that she actually managed to talk me into trying it out! (Honestly, someone needs to make sure that this actress only uses her prodigious powers of persuasion for good, and not evil. 😉 )
At any rate, it really is a pretty fun time-waster – usually a good balance between challenging and satisfyingly achievable (well, until the current level I’m on….but I digress).
The other one I recently started playing is Pop-Time’s “Simon’s Cat.” It’s a bubble-popping type game, but it’s had absolutely **gorgeous** illustrations throughout the game so far.

Oops – just noticed that autoincorrect changed her name from Crossman (correct) to Grossman (incorrect).
I like word games…my favorites are Red Herring, Monkey Wrench and 7 Little Words. Also a big fan of room escape puzzle games (especially The Room series and The House of DaVinci) and things like Monument Valley, The Trail, and Samorost. I even like Disney’s Where’s My Water, which is for kids, but is really fun.😁
haha the where’s my water game is so fun. I also used it a LOT to entertain my young nephew and now just say “Swampy NEEDS his WATER” at random times, especially funny when in florida seeing alligators with the fam 🙂

Playing da Vinci game now. Love it. Also play sim city. Not as enthusiastic about it as tsto. I mean named my town tsto replacement so that should say it all.

Happy Sunday! I randomly decided to get my % up as well – and I’m sure I’m not the highest – but I played the mystery box a lot until I hit 4000% (https://i.imgur.com/K1iNMEB.jpg). You can see the news vans peeking over the top of my buildings that I use to hide them a little bit in that screenshot. I think there are people who have gotten a LOT higher but I wonder where they put their stuff so it’s not a distraction to the design.
Anyway – just a data point for you!!

We had that really interesting thread about maximizing $/donuts as far as picking 1/2/3 upon leveling.
Has anyone done any calculations about maximizing time/donut? Is it better to just accept or go to three or any other strategy? I have enjoyed upping my % but wonder what the best use of time is…

Thanks 🙂 I think though that this doesn’t address the idea that money doesn’t matter (meaning income far exceeds KEM + extra tries costs) and wondering if anyone has done the math on what is the most time-efficient choice process. It takes x amount of time to do a new choice if you don’t get three; does it go faster if you just farm more or should you always weather that delay to get three… Thinking about it more, it’s frustrating to choose multiple times but it’s probably more efficient than a new level… maybe?
I think that the problem comes when trying to factor in the time values as everyone’s device takes differing amounts of time to respond to a ‘click’. Heck sometimes the amount of time varies with the time of day! Not to mention things like processing power, internet connection speed, how many in game items are waiting to be clicked, what’s running in the background of a device…etc

I have not done the time to cash to donate equation but I have done the Kwik-E-Mart to cash ratio. If your bonus percentage allows you to get a pic at Donuts in five or fewer Kwik-E-Mart, I am of the opinion you should take the first attempt. This equation is the cost of one Kwik-E-Mart Mart at 14400 times 4 is roughly $58,000. One attempt to upgrade your Donuts is $50,000. By taking the extra gas you’re guaranteeing yourself at least one additional donut saving $8,000 and the time to place and wait out the time on on for new Kwik-E-Mart.

I watched the podcast yesterday for the first time and enjoyed hearing everyone’s ideas and thoughts!
I’m just getting over last week’s work and also allergies combining with a stupid cold.
This week I have enjoyed visiting friends and seeing great ideas – especially the great Cypress Creek (check it out: https://i.redd.it/ctuahf2u0wp21.png) by cavallom – really inspiring… makes my little Shelbyville in progress feel small.
As with everyone, not sure what the game has in store but I messed around a bunch to get to 4000%+ for no reason at all. I will make a new post about maximizing donuts per time – should interest someone! I’ve said it before that the math/maximization and design aspects almost present two complementary games within one. I love the designing and getting lego bits but also find that manipulating mechanics is pretty fun too and supports the design/sim city part 🙂
