Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Here we are again. Yet another Thursday with no new update in TSTO released the previous two days.
It’s been 50 days since the last new content update in TSTO, Classless Reunion (March 13th), and 22 days since the last in-game update…or whatever the hell that thing was…Marge at the Bat (April 10th), and I have some thoughts. So let’s get to them…
-First off, let me get this out of the way right now…I do not think the game is ending. I don’t think it’s on life support. It doesn’t make sense to me that last year, after 5 years of blogging, EA would reach out to sites to share information about updates in the game, just to shut everything down a year later. (Although it would be nice if they utilized those Community connections to help communicate what’s going on… but I digress) I think a lot of folks are just reading to much into things because something is different and it’s easier to speculate than figure out just what’s going on.
Plus, there’s this…Twitter is a powerful thing guys….
-I think the server issues are simply that, server issues. This game has had issues with servers for 7+ years…no reason why they’d stop now right? The fact that they’re coinciding with the lack of updates, I think, is causing some folks to read to much into it.
-This is purely speculation, because (as I’ve said over and over) I know no more than you guys do but I think a lot of the delays in the game right now are a result of a few things. For starters, I think they’re having a reshuffling/restructuring of development teams. I also think they’re working on some bugs that have gone awry.
-The lack of communication about it is frustrating, to say the least, but I don’t think this is the end. EA is a big, publicly traded, company and they have to answer to Stock Holders. Which means they have a little more to worry about when it comes to their reputation (unlike TinyCo/JamCity). False moves might cause stocks to tumble. So I think if they were planning on shutting down TSTO they wouldn’t be silent about it. They also wouldn’t continue to sell donuts…
I wrote a post yesterday about places you can share your frustration about the lack of communication with EA. Check out those links here.
-We’re working every possible connection to EA/the Simpsons that we have to find out any information on what’s going on. (Pat even asked Matt Groening himself) As soon as we find anything out we’ll share it, provided we’re allowed to.
-I’ve said this many times, but I’ll say it again…since some of you refuse to believe this is a reality…Disney has NOTHING to do with this game. Literally NOTHING. EA has a contract with the rights to The Simpsons, that contract didn’t expire when Disney purchased FOX. Just like the contract for Universal Studios didn’t expire.
Disney didn’t buy EA, they don’t make decisions for EA. They have zero to do with this game. ZERO. I don’t know how many times I can say it, we even heard it from Matt Groening. The Disney purchase of FOX has nothing to do with TSTO. That acquisition is not causing this delay. (not to mention Disney had an existing gaming contract with EA that doesn’t expire until 2023, and Disney’s CEO recently expressed confidence in EA’s ability in gaming (Star Wars in particular). So they already had a relationship, even before the acquisition)
-I’m not going to lie, the downtime kind of sucks…but it’s also kind of nice. It sucks because I’ve spent just about every day of the last 7ish years griding out this game. Tapping, collecting, earning that next big prize. And that’s a really hard habit to break. Especially when you do a lot of absentminded tapping.
But it’s kind of nice for the same reasons. I’ve been blogging about this game every day, several times a day, for the last 6ish years. 3,775 posts in about 2,086 days, just from me. That’s a lot of writing. And I’m kind of enjoying the downtime of not rushing to post something, figuring something out, or staying up late to make sure I’ve got a post finished for the next morning. With the lack of updates, posting has been pretty easy, and dare I say more creative.
It’s been a while since I last wrote a Should I Buy post and it’s kind of nice not to be stuck in that routine.
-This one is really important, TSTO Addicts isn’t going anywhere. I’ve said this a lot over the last (almost) 6 years, as long as you guys keep coming here we’ll keep writing. There’s a reason we’re one of the last TSTO Blogs left standing. We enjoy what we do, and we love this community. That doesn’t go away just because the game isn’t updating.
We’ll all navigate this chaos together. Just like we’ve been doing since 2013…
-Of course, the site will look a little different without the updates to cover. Obviously, we won’t be writing walkthroughs, prize guides, Should I buys, or other event centered posts…but that doesn’t mean it won’t still be worth checking out the site regularly.
We’ve got a bunch of stuff planned from a new bracket battle to the Sounds of TSTO, and a lot more! Plus, we’ll still be running Simpsons Trivia regularly! You may have found the site because of TSTO, but we hope you stayed around because of the community and there are no plans to change anytime soon.
-And of course…as soon as an update hits the server (or if we get an info packet from EA) we’ll share that info with you guys immediately. In the meantime, try not to lose your minds over this. Be part Bliss Ninny and follow the ride wherever it takes you…
Thoughts? Care to share your own musings? Any thoughts on regular posts you’d like us to run during downtime? Did you contact EA to tell them you’re mad as heck? Sound off below, you know we love hearing from you!

I like to pretend that they’re gonna rebrand it as just Tapped Out and open up new areas for us to build, combining the the other properties… Instead of traveling to Krusty Land, we’ll have a seperate Futurama world… and maybe one for that new fairy tale show, Whatsiscalled…
……… I heard from a source of a source who heard it from a source that the next update will be in about 2 weeks & we will finally get more Springfield Heights land
Maybe the source your source of a source heard it from is my brother-in-law’s sister’s father-in-law’s mailman’s son’s hockey coach’s hairdresser’s boyfriend. He works for EA.
Is it a source of a different color?
UGH… but, it is ironically the 80th anniversary of the release of the Wizard of Oz…
y’all made me think of that great song, “heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who, heard it from a fried you’ve been messing aroooound!”
REO Speedwagon “Take It On The Run”!
😆😆😆…bring on the flying monkeys!
Ugh…those damn monkeys.
An interesting fact about me…Wizard of Oz movie terrifies me, because of the flying monkeys. Traumatized me as a child, and I’ll never watch it again as a result. (and yes (to those thinking it), I’ve had many people torment me with flying monkeys…both visual and in wording…over the years. So don’t think you’ll be original by trying to torment me. I’m used to it at this point)
BREAKING NEWS! This just in: about an hour ago, at least five dozens of genetically mutated crossbred Gorilla-Geese escaped from a Science Lab in Shanghai, China. Judging from the winds, their flight direction and flying speed, the flock is expected to reach Alissa-Town somewhere around midnight. Residents are advised to keep their windows closed and their doors locked all through the night. A quote from one of the responsible chinese researchers: “These beasts are as vicious as Montgomery Burns and as intelligent as the great american Professor Frink!” 😉
🙄
More news on the escaped chinese Gorilla-Geese: apparently, the flock has been reduced to merely 5 animals after passing over an Aircraft Carrier and being shot down. A statement from a young and obviously confused Navy Recruit named Abraham S.: “Hot-diggity! The air-defense what now? Missile launch, what’s a missile launch?! I remember when I was a little kid my Pa always used to shoot heat-seeking missiles at the gorillas when they entered our garden. ‘T was like New Year’s in Vegas, BANANA SPLIT!” And yet another organisation around the legitimate businessman D. Calabresi just started their military helicopter, optimistic to shoot down the rest of the flock before they reach the american continent. A quote from a Calabresi spokesman: “these feathered primates sure as hell are gonna sleep with the fishes before they touch the bosses’ precious banana trees!” So breathe lightly, residents of Alissa-Town, the Gorilla-Goose crisis ended as fast as it has begun 😉
Sorry, Alissa…had no idea. I had the same experience as a kid…nightmares for a long time and never watched it again till I was a teenager. When I finally did watch it, I was surprised at how tame it actually was (not being 5 anymore helped, I’m sure)…and I fell in love with the cinematography, costumes and scenery. Still a big fan today, and I even used to have a sign on my office door “Don’t make me call out the Flying Monkeys!”
Ahhh…good times…😆
I have a mega realistic town I’ve spent a LOT of time on and i was wondering if you’d like to see it. Add me to check it out : Withmay0nnaisse <——
I reckon it’s purely the change in IP holder. Operational procedures and policies take time to iron out. Whilst figuring out how EA gives Disney their whack of royalties was probably figured out ahead of time, everything else probably wasn’t. And those people on Disney’s side are likely very busy with every other Simpsons product too. TSTO want’s to introduce a Moleman skin? Who signs off on the release from Disney’s side? Needs to be worked out, with paperwork and SLAs and all sorts of other boring stuff. Takes time.
Just my uninformed opinion anyway 🙂
I know you’ve had a lot of the “back when I started playing” comments, but…Back when I started playing(😉), it seemed that there were several weeks between major events. True, my first event was the dreaded “Easter/broken baskets” fiasco of 2014, so weeks of hiatus to fix code made sense. But then? BOOM! Stonecutters (still my fave). Then a decent break til Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas. In other words, my recollection is that a few weeks of downtime (maybe with a teeny, episode tie-in update) was the old normal between big, creative engaging events that also gave benefit to neighbor visits. The new normal is bang-bang, 4-week, cookie-cutter events just to have an update. I’m in the minority, no doubt, but I’d be fine with weeks of downtime to get updates with creative themes (remember Springfield of Tomorrow? Vegas?) and fun, new content, with tasks that felt like an incentive rather than a grind. AND…if it is winding down…what a long, strange trip it’s been! And made all the better by an Addicts blog of quality and integrity, so it’s all icing now. 🍻
I’ve been thinking about when to stop donut farming, blow up the town, and just design a town I like without regard to placing every possible multiplier. It might be time. Into storage you go, 10 ugly parking garages.
Even if all these theories were true about the game closing, updates coming, reorganisations etc, why the hell are EA being so bloody minded about releasing some info ?
Things I have learned due to an unscheduled downtime for me when the Krusty Land integration update borked my game for a couple of months and the current slow down:
* If the game is coming to an end, I’ll live… when my game was borked and EA support couldn’t fix it (even a rollback failed), I couldn’t play the game from the Krusty Land integration update until some time after the Moe’s Ark event; on a whim I tried logging in and suddenly it worked after that event, so they fixed *something*, but during my hiatus, I found that after about a week of absently reaching for my iPad every few hours, I actually missed this web site more than I did the game.
* Lord Montymort isn’t saying “My *un*-chanted shin”, he’s saying “My *en*-chanted shin”… I really should play with the volume turned up once in a while
* The Wiccans constant repeating of “We’re wiccans!” is really starting to annoy me. Maybe I”m better with the volume low after all…
* Realizing, as you’re about to go to bed, that “if I put sleep off for just 30 minutes, I can get in another round”… is a really good way to end up sleeping through your alarm the next morning.
* Cats don’t understand that when the iPad is in my lap, it’s not a good time to insist on being petted.
* Dog (yeah, we have both) paws *are* recognized by the iPad as touches and can screw up your momentum when you are whipping through assigning character tasks.
* Watching Alice Glick’s “Pay Tribute” task is good for meditating… and falling asleep… which leads me to:
* When you fall asleep playing the game and dream that you’re in your own Springfield and the characters keep asking why you send them on such inane repetitive tasks, remember — you’re Sky Finger and that’s reason enough.
The game *will* end, all things do eventually. But not today, and it won’t be the end of the world.
Wise words.
I liked the cat comment, my cat cheeky has a habit of lying on my tablet when I’m trying to play!
I resonate with you!
Cat noses are recognized by iPads also…mine likes to sniff the flying things in my game…always trying to catch Kodos as she flies away.🧚♂️😁🧚♂️
Thanks for this post! I’m glad TSTOAddicts isn’t going anywhere – cuz neither am I 🙂
In the meantime, I’m just donut farming like crazy so I can buy every single item in whatever the next update is whether I want it or not! Lol!
P.S.
Oh mine eyes 😂

The people over at the Reddit for Tapped Out seem to want TSTO to end, they’re so dead set on believing it will. We’ve had Matt Groening say it (and people there defo read this site), Matt Selman say it, several discussions with EA support about it, the fact only a few years ago we had events less frequent than even this… and its just constant negativity and ‘I don’t believe that means anything’ and… ugh. Sometimes fandoms aren’t toxic, they’re just… obsessively negative. Some people will just not listen to reason when they want to be negative, negative, negative… so I’m glad there’s people being realistic and optimistic out there!
Well, what you call “obsessively negative” I’d rather call “realistically sceptic”. If you can find comfort in Pat’s interview with Groening or in Selman’s tweet that’s cool, nobody wants to take that away from you. But looking at those a little closer…
What exactly did Groening say? Basically two things, first and most important “Disney isn’t really involved in Tapped Out”, second and quite obvious too: “I’m not really involved in it neither, but hey, hang in there, it’s PROBABLY just a lull”. Sounds nice, but proves nothing…
What exactly did Selman say? Not too much: “It’s not over I swear!”. When is the game really “over”? When the servers go offline. So Selman basically swears that servers are still online. True, but you could have already known that 😉
If you look for negatives you’ll find them. If you look for positives you’ll find them too
I’m not gonna argue with that, of course it’s not ALL bad. For example I’m pretty happy that Springfield now has its own University, Planetarium or Mystery Spot. But I, and obviously many others too, just see way too much negative (or at least highly suspicious) stuff this year to just ignore it…
Thank you Alissa for taking your time to give us a piece of mind. I’m more reassured now and feel all the hours and money have not been totally wasted.
There are millions of issues in the World that need our attention, some of which, of course, are not under our control but some that could be worth doing something about; and spending my time playing this game makes me feel guilty quite often.
However, I justify myself because it’s my way of disconnecting, a kind of weird form of mindfulness.
TSTO is very addictive, as we all know. In a way, this standby period has allowed me to cut down playtime dramatically, as I don’t do 4 hours tasks and KEM farming ever since I completed the last event. I’m down to 24 hours at the moment. And the good news is, I don’t have withdrawal side effects.
I have to admit, thou, that I visit your site everyday to check for updates, just in case you guys have any secrets to share.
Anyhow, thank you once again for your dedication and reassurance.
Kind regards,
Azahara (LeonYsuMami)
Thank you for the nice post!
I do worry a little.
But I have a hope that keeps me going. And that’s the hope that once they return we will be able to sell / delete monorail pieces. I used to love farming them, but had to stop cause they were filling up my inventory.
Gosh, I wish they do it!
I keep hoping they’ll make everything sellable & storable. I hate the hoarder warnings…& the items can really accumulate over the years. Which makes it really difficult to find stuff in our storages. I have a ton if things that I don’t want or will never use. Even using the sub-categories doesn’t help. I started casual KEM farming so I quit the monorail grind.
Is it just me or does everyone else keep getting too many corner pieces from the railyard?
I just had to share this with you guys! One of my friends just finished having a personal conversation with EA Support, and they confirmed to my friend that there will be an update to The Simpsons: Tapped Out game on Wednesday, May 8th of next week. Also according to the conversation that my friend had with EA Support that the team is adding a secure registration system for TSTO on the May 8th update. And regarding promotion & content, the team has not released any information yet, unfortunately. So the game is NOT over! EA still supports the game & further development is on the way. That’s all that I can tell/share with you guys from what EA Support told my friend about The Simpsons Tapped Out game! So be on the lookout for the update on Wednesday, May 8th of next week & I hope that this helps you guys out! Have a Simpsonrific Day, Tappers! 😀
lol I think the support person your friend talked to was reading the forum and missed that the date said May 8th 2018…
https://forums.ea.com/en/the-simpsons-tapped-out/discussion/220337/important-tsto-update-may-8-2018
I was so hoping you were wrong that I came back to click that link….& so yea,,it’d be an awfully big coincidence that there’d be an update & more secure registration login on May 8th 2 yrs in a row. Goes to show how far reps can go to tell us what we want to hear to make us go away. Or an honest mistake. I’ve dealt with some of them….where I know exactly what I’m talking about…but they don’t even seem to get the basic mechanics of TSTO game play. It can be very frustrating,,to say the least. I felt the need to apologize for ever doubting you,,Alissa. As if you’d ever have known otherwise?!! 😕😱😜
I only wish I knew when we were going to have these long breaks. I would like to blow up my town, but am afraid of picking the wrong time
The sounds of tsto sounds like a cool addition to the site and whilst from that bit of info I don’t precisely know what you are planning. If possible a series of trivia quizzes (possibly themed e.g. religious buildings, food buildings etc) would be cool where you hear the buildings sound and are given a list of places of which only 1 would be correct. Of course this would also rely on a bit of Faith of people not cheating by going straight into there games to find out.
I’m not minding the hold up. I wasn’t greedy, I didn’t farm. Ok, I get donuts through the rail yard, Maggie and the odd bonus donut but it means I’ve still got a game to play. Slowly working my way through that mystery box is just fine. Ok, maybe they’ll pull the plug one day and I might not have got everything or completed all the stories but so what, it’s a game and I’ve enjoyed it. Isn’t that the point??
I don’t think I’ve ever got a donut from the railyard, what do you need to do to get them?
Hi Gasboss: just craft tracks; you get 5 donuts each time you complete the fifth stage
https://tstoaddicts.com/2016/07/26/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-monorail/comment-page-1/
I actually think that I remember this happening before, I just haven’t noticed every time it happened.
Hi Jason,
Like you, the stasis doesn’t really faze me. I also don’t donut farm (altho I wouldn’t call it “greedy”; if players want to rush thru a game, so be it). I’ve been playing since 2013 and I’m only just at Level 190 — and I play EVERY DAY, whether there’s an event or not. I’ve considered KEM farming but it looked too complicated; I didn’t buy the Golden Goose Realty thing because I didn’t have enough donuts. But regardless, it’s just not really my ‘thing’.
I’m not suggesting KEM farming and land grabbing is wrong at all — it’s just another way of playing — but one obvious drawback is that when you’ve hit max level and got every piece of available land and every premium item after a year or a month or a week or whatever, what the hell is left for you to do?
I’ve always been a “getting there is half the fun” kind of player. I stop and smell the roses (or open all the chests or explore all the caves) rather than rush to the final Boss. I also play OSRS and I am staggered at the number of bots in that game. If you’d rather let a piece of software grind for you, go for it. I just find it heaps more satisfying when I reach that elusive level if I’ve gone thru all the grinding myself to get there.
If TSTO ends before I reach level 929 or whatever it is, I’ll be devastated only because I love this game so much, not because I didn’t get everything. And I’ve had a helluva lot of fun getting as far as I have.
Maybe they are putting all this work in just to fix Princess Penelope’s one hour job 🤣🤣🤣
I’m making most of the downtime (it’s nice not having to grind for anything, I can log into the game anytime I want – unless I get the routine Bart Simpson screen of death!) Basically Farm for 🍩’s and spend them in the Mystery Box, because there’s nothing else to do! 🤷🏼♂️
Yes, I that Bart Simpson screen of death is happening too many times in my opinion and it gets to be annoying (I wonder if that will annoy enough Tappers that they will quit? Now that’s something EA has to think about, because it means potential loss of revenue, right?) 🤔
I can to use Twitter to voice my opinions with EA vs Facebook (Twitter allows you to communicate without it being deleted using clever hashtags that heckle EA – and they deserve it! EA can delete whatever you post on their TSTO Facebook page, so if you are what you decide to post as it will get deleted before it has any effect!) 😉
I’m with this Game App to the end, I don’t think the end is near (we still got 2 more Seasons of The Simpsons on FOX), I’m in agreement that whatever contractually EA is obligated to do with this Game App is between EA and FOX (one, or both, I’m sure have something to say with what goes on further), I don’t think EA would take this Game App down without due notice (and they legally couldn’t have you purchase anything!) 🤔
Now, that doesn’t mean one can’t criticize about this lull, and lack of new Events (these criticisms are valid!). I am in complete agreement with how to voice your frustration (I still say avoid the official Forum, it’s a pain you know where to join and login – not to mention whatever you post to be deleted!) and EA needs to listen to them …. nobody is going to spend real money in this Game App until things go back to being fun! 😉
Many have experienced disconnects recently, as have I (more then normal). Today I suddenly had to log in again, for the first time in months. And now I have no friends in game anymore. It seems more and more that right now they are changing or fixing the servers. Add to this the issues they had on some of the devices, it might just be they are focusing on some major issues behind the game instead of putting new items in the frontend right now.
MrBully
I believe you are correct in that there are numerous problems that are continuing and perhaps EA is addressing them internally (but externally they need to let Game App players know what’s going on!) Silence is not going to help EA, silence with no legitimate updates is going to make Tappers leave!
I’m with this Game App to the end, I just hope that EA addresses things (good grief at least fix the majority of the problems that existed over the years).
I’ve been playing a couple of years and in the beginning happily spent real cash buying donuts to play as a premium player. Now my game is of a size that it generates so much daily in game currency that I can farm 100+ donuts a day no sweat. In the downtime I’ve spent around 8000 donuts on the huge Mystery Box getting loads of cool stuff with lots of fun old tasks to keep me going. Still have plenty of donuts left! If EA’s concerned that players with mature games just aren’t spending money, there’s a clear solution. Stop, or limit, donut farming. With the Donut Factory and minigames everyone can earn enough donuts each day to keep the XP Collider permanently turned on and generate additional donuts through legitimate gameplay. But with farming, getting everything in new episodes is just too easy. Make us work harder EA, and you’ll keep staff funded to continue this fab game?
Strangely I find no entries on donut farming on TSTO WIKI.
Shouldn’t be strange, they don’t write details. They just list what an update contains.
For me, this has been a great opportunity to do some reorganization of my town. I have a lot of clutter that I want to take care of and build out some themed areas that are more coherent than they are right now.
This downtime is allowing me to slowly do that – as well as time to use GGR to add new land and make room for future expansions (hopefully :)).
Suggestion for a feature. People send in a pic of their town along with a a building, item etc they are unsure what to do with and you guys give decorating suggestions for them.
👍
Pat has something similar planned, as well. (i think) But I like this
Thanks once again for, once again, imparting your brain-knowing on us, Alissa! Also, re-kudos for your years of work. My conspiracy theory is that they follow you as much as you follow them and they decided to give you and baby tapperino a few weeks to watch the Yankees and breathe. Anywhoo, I will begin taking (non-monetary) bets as to the over/under of how many times you will have to link to this post in comments. Line is currently set at 30. Thanks again. Cheers!

🤣🤣🤣
Then they don’t know me at all lol. I thrive on chaos. I complain about it, but I also thrive on it.
I’m retired — chaos is not in my vocabulary.
Today is barely in my vocabulary.
Tomorrow, now that is a lovely word.
A bit random, but does anyone know what event Apu’s nephew appeared in. I need him to complete the family set, but he’s never been available in any mystery box, or the vault.
Thanks.
Much Apu About Nothing. It was an episode tie-in
Ok that was just before I started playing I guess, the first event I participated in was the one featuring Prof. Stephen Hawking.
Thanks.
Gloryhornets76
Alissa is correct in that Jay was a freebie during that January 2016 Event (he does have some clever visual tasks and if you get him in the mystery box ? it’s worth it), to complete Apu’s Family? One has the option to purchase and build Sanjay’s House (comes with Apu’s Brother, Sanjay) at Level 39. Apu’s Wife – Manjula – is a Premium that comes with Apu’s Apartment (as far as I can recall that was the only Premium in this set of Characters) at this same Level, but hey snag her in the Mystery Box (30 🍩’s is cheaper then 140!)🤘
Yeah thanks for the info, hopefully he will appear in a mystery box at some point.
Yes! He’s one of the few charachters I’m missing too! It makes my brain itch not to be able to collect them all…maybe if I stick this knitting needle in my ear and swirl it around … Ahhhh! less itchy … But still a little scratchy ….. 😉

Two things: One, EA is the company that pioneered sucking money from people via microtransactions. They are *notorious* for releasing incomplete games and then charging for the missing pieces. They’d sell you doughnuts on the deck of the titanic because that’s what they do. And 2, EA as a company is going through a rough time right now with a lot of layoffs and whatnot. A small game like TSTO isn’t going to warrant their attention like, say…the mess of Apex Legends. Bellular news released a YouTube vid the other day that goes into it.
Gotta disagree with you there. You can get free donuts from the railyard, daily challenges, and Maggie’s game. Plus they let us farm.
Sorry, but I think EA is more than generous with this game.
And drug dealers give you free samples. 😛 I am, of course, just teasing but the same idea kind of applies. It’s part of gamification. So let’s say you’ve farmed up some doughnuts, right? And then an event happens and you’re a few short and there’s something you want. So since you’re close, rather than wait, you buy the doughnuts (generic you for all of this btw.). Now, even if you only needed like 10, you buying that 10 you need when you wouldn’t have bought the other 200 if you had no doughnuts at all. It might only be a couple of dollars, but they’re turning $0 customer into a $3 or $10 one. Hence, letting you farm. Most people aren’t that dedicated to doughnut farming so they’ll fall into this trap. Hell, I have too. It’s just how premium currency works in freemium games. I don’t hate EA or anything, I play this sims as well as TSTO, but they make money on freemium games like all the other game makers. And for games outside TSTO they have a bad reputation for nickel and diming people.
Not sure what your definition of going through a rough time is. EA continues to produce strong earnings and it stock has done fine. Margins, i.e., profitability, are expanding and the top line is growing. On a trailing twelve month basis they earned $1.4 billion, that’s with a “B”.
I was referring to Apex Legends underperforming vs Fortnite and Anthem doing so badly that it has BioWare in peril. They’re not the only AAA studio to be having issues right now. Activision is having their own problems. Here’s the video Bellular made about it: https://youtu.be/ZPNu-PfS8vY. He can explain it better than me, cause that’s his job.
And yeah…thanks, but I know how billion is spelt. /eyeroll
This really is a wonderful site, written by people who obviously love what they are doing. Congratulations on a job well done!!
With regards to the down lag, or whatever this is, I can see both sides of the issue, but I am extremely skeptical of the future because of Disney’s involvement, notwithstanding agreements, contracts, et al. The fact they skipped Easter, gave us lame Marge, and refuse to communicate any reassuring news to ANYONE, speaks volumes. I hope I am wrong, because I enjoy accumulating, tasking, and building. It beats the other zillion Candy Crush/Angry Birds/first person shoot-outs/clue finder games by a mile, and the gaming business of itself is undergoing cataclysmic changes. BUT,there is that Disney track record.
Finally, again, as the Brits say, chapeau! Anon.
I love your finishing with the old British saying. Made me laugh loads, thank you.
I’m still worried. But that’s me being me, I ALWAYS worry about everything (you should see my hairline or what’s left of it XD)
like this game. BUT, sadly it is over. just matter of days. no logic there. no updates, no money from players for new stuff. people leaving game because boring effect. no new money, no paychecks for employees. was fun, time to move on.
Pfffftttt… see you in a year.
But,
🎶🎶 Will we see you in 4 months? 🎶🎶
For sure. LOL! I am pretty resolute at this point, that something will come soon. But, in the meantime…they allow us to have fun, and keep designing…so I will!
For the longest time I was just collecting money and going about the donuts harvesting with Rat Trap trucks, but the last month I have been adding KEM farming, and the amount of donuts I get per day is pretty ridiculous (I usually work on a 4 hour rotation for TSTO anyhow) but now with the tons of free land, and the Yearbook additions I am adding a lot of great stuff for cheap. As for the updates, I can wait. It’ll happen when it happens. And if this is the end of the line, I’ll keep playing until I stop having fun. If I can slog thru the Springfield Heights grind, I can do anything…
