Christmas still continues in our pocket-sized towns! By now the snow is starting to get old, and the residents of Springfield are starting to debating when to take their Christmas trees to the curb. But alas…the story continues in TSTO…
As I’ve said before, Abe’s in Toyland follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it. This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting a week and taking us through a new part of the event!

I had fun with Weeks 1 and 2 (basically, it was Father’s Day and I enjoyed all of the Characters / Buildings we could obtain). 😀👍🏻
Week 3 is a downgrade (for me). In the past, criticism was leveled at EA during multi-week Events whenever a Week became less fun compared to a prior Week (ie “this Event is petering out!” became a common post here in TSTO Addicts).
Well, Week 3 did peter out (for me) because now the Silver Tokens are just 12 🍩’s , the new Premium was a meh, the Event Prizes only offered 2 Items worthwhile (and I really didn’t find the Writing up to par).
Death is getting bored with Abe Simpson (I’m getting bored by this Event now).
Disappointed – when I first saw the final character on my phone I though we were getting ole Gil as an even character. Damn you EA Santa!!!
So far this has been a bit of a meh event, for me, certainly not up to other year’s standards. The rewards, while not bad, aren’t great and the game play now so familiar as to be Nanak.

Still my favourite everyday game by though. Just been spoiled by other events.

We are definitely spoiled with a Game App that doesn’t force too many in app purchases and there are no advertisement load screens (this I loath).
TSTO definitely needs to be better managed by EA by offering what benefits Noobs, but also not ignoring what Long Time Tappers would find appealing.
