Should I Spend Donuts on Mabel Simpson and the Canadian Border?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s update time in Springfield!  And after 8 years of TSTO, we’re finally tackling Black History Month!  No time like the present for EA, huh?   What’s in store for us this time?  Well, we’re tasked with finding out the history of Dr. Hibbert, Carl, Lou, and the Simpson Family! Of course, an all-new event means all-new premium content in our stores, just tempting us to drop those pink sprinkles!

As we all know, that limited-time label can tempt us to grab everything in sight because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Mabel Simpson and the Canadian Border to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Simpson Family History throwback to your town…

-Has a joint task with Virgil

Cons
-Looks just like Marge

Final Thought
So guys this is EASILY the best premium item of this entire event.  She’s priced at the standard price point, voiced, will use the building she comes with for tasks, AND the “building” she comes with actually makes sense to be associated with her.  Hands down the best premium buy of this event…

Of course, in the end, it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and I got her almost immediately.  Best premium buy of this event.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games for good (or for now).

Here’s a look at the tasks…

Mabel’s Permanent Tasks:

  1. I really like that Canadian Border. The main problem is that where i want to place it, there is no more place. I must “destroy” an area that is (to my opinion) is already nice designed. Some problems thus.
I’m rushing the last part slowly. With 4 premiums and the goal not that high, i can have a mix of playing 2-3 times a day and rushing. But with the weekend coming up (when i play usually only once a day) i might be spending more donuts

  2. Bought this the first hour of Act 4, and the Canadian Border is illustrated beautifully. Only gripe is the scale of it — really small compared to other decorations like trees and buildings — so it’s kind of awkward to look at when it’s placed with other decorations near it.

  3. Just wondering if after we are finished with the Black History event will we be able to purchase Jay G Bundle? I’m currently working on Man of the Year Pt 1 and I get a “you can only place one of a particular unique item in our town at a time” message when I try to purchase him. Any ideas?

  4. Instead of Canadian Border, I was given Marge and Cretaceous Park. No Canadian Border. Anyone have this problem?
