Were you excited to see The Simpsons back again last week? Did you enjoy the Frinkcoin episode? How did it fare for a Frink-centric episode? Can’t wait for another new Simpsons episode? Well you won’t have to wait too long for the next such episode as The Simpsons is back this Sunday, with an all new episode! Woohoo!

Friday Filler – Sometimes the Writers Get It Right!

Thank Grog It’s Firday!

In an effort toward full transparency, I admit readily to not only rushing Act III of this unbelievably boring event, but to being happy that I did.  And in an even more transparent move (if I get any more transparent, I’ll disappear!), I am writing this well before Friday (or Firday if you prefer) because the topic came to me while rushing through the Act.

As I mentioned last week, the primary benefit of rushing (binging) is that you get to read the dialogue quickly, and in more of an unbroken script.  The length of time it takes to play this event in real time, kind of sucks the fun out of the dialogue, because it takes too long to get to it.  But, by rushing, you get the whole thread quickly…even if the thread is broken into weirdly disparate parts.

The best part of this act, was that the writer(s?) who wrote it (it felt like two different writers, cobbled together…but, I’ll get to that), had fun reveling in their own shortcomings as storytellers for ALL of the Springfield citizens.

Representation of ALL citizens became a fun, and pretty hilarious theme…at the cost of admitting how little we see most of the characters we win.

Let’s take a look.

Black History Month Prize Guide: Act 3, Prize 5 the Bully Boss

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s update time in Springfield!  And after 8 years of TSTO, we’re finally tackling Black History Month!  No time like the present for EA, huh?   What’s in store for us this time?  Well, we’re tasked with finding out the history of Dr. Hibbert, Carl, Lou, and the Simpson Family!  Loads of dialogue with this one, so be sure to read along to see what happens! And of course, I’ll be posting it as each week wraps up.

Black History Month (Heroes of Springfield) follows the same event structure of the Multi-Events before it.  This event consists of 4 parts (or Acts), with each part lasting a week and taking us through a new part of the event!

For Act 3 we’re tasked with collecting Police Badges!  Each part of the story will unlock another prize themed for the third part of the story, that time Lou was a hero!

So let’s take a look at the fifth and final Act 3 prize…the Bully Boss…

EA’s Network Down

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It would appear that EA’s Network is down…but only in certain situations.

In my game, I only get this error message if I try to change to a different TSTO account. (which is unfortunate, because right now my phone is stuck on the game i use to rush info for the site and I can’t clear my main game that I play regularly)

However, if I don’t try to log out of one game I can play TSTO as normal.

Not sure how it’s playing out for the rest of you…but seeing some of you note that the network is down for you as well in the comments. So I figured it was best to have one cohesive place for you all to post about it…

So have at it!

Black History Mystery Box Breakdown

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Another day, another Mystery Box in Springfield…

Since the introduction of the Yearbook Mystery Box last year, most of the event-specific boxes have become outdated. As many of the items are in the Yearbook box for much less.

However, with the Black History Mystery Box released with this event, that’s not necessarily true.  EA has added some new/old content to this box.    So let’s take a quick look at what’s inside both the Black History Mystery Box…
