As you reach the end of the Showbiz Showdown, you’ll see the latest update to the Shattered Dreams Mystery Box.
For those that missed it, we broke down the basic details of the Shattered Dreams Box Here. That post will give you the basics, how to earn coins, and what the plan is for the box itself.
This post (the one you’re reading now) is meant to give you further details about the box that will appear in your game once you’ve completed the Splash and Burn mini-event. So let’s get to it, shall we?
Note: This box is slated to leave games on September 21st, which is when we should see the next mini-event in TSTO.
For those that need a quick refresher on the box, here’s the breakdown from EA:
Once you’ve completed the Splash and Burn Mini-Event you’ll trigger the Shattered Dreams Mystery Box to start up…
REMEMBER the Shattered Dreams Mystery Box is ONLY available BETWEEN events. In this case, it’ll only run from the moment you complete Act 4 of Showbiz Showdown until the start of the next event.
As we’ve learned from the previous event, the first go-round with this, you MUST complete the event (whether that’s a mini-event or multi-event) to see the box. It will not appear for you unless you complete the entire event.
We also now know that the box will change with every event, as this box is completely different than the last.
Now you’ll, once again, be given a free Shattered Dreams Token to try out the box.

If I’m seeing only non-unique items, does that mean it’s because I already have all of the (e.g. food-related) items which newer players would be seeing for this event?
I have 5 tokens but no interest in the 3 items in my box. I’m curious about the non unique items offered when you empty the box, but it would have to be pretty special to essentially what I’d consider wasting 3 tokens and taking a chance with the last 2.

To clarify, I was referring to the Showbiz Showdown Mystery Box, not the Shattered Dreams one…
Shattered dreams carries forward. However, event specific ones end with the event.
Quick question on a slightly different subject; do the mystery box tokens carry over from event to event or are they “use it or lose it”?
