We’ll have more to say about this event in the next episode of Addicts Live. But, for now, enjoy the Event and have fun! And be sure to sound off in the comments below. You know we love hearing from you.
Oh joy another month of grinding out the 4 hour jobs.
Fgs EA, have a little imagination regarding the gameplay. Yawn.
Would love to be playing this event but EA customer support are the most ineffective, incompetent, unhelpful people you could hope to deal with. Chat support: we cannot help you with TSTO, email support ask the same question over and over again and ignore the detailed explanation I provided from the outset of what what wrong with my game and what they could do to resolve it. After a decade of playing TSTO, I am so demoralised at the loss of my currently and content that I think it will be easier to quit and just give the game up. Thanks EA, I hope you read this because you will never get another dime from me for any of your products.
Samsung S22 ??
Maybe it’s Samsung that needs to fix that one
If not try asking for a Rollback to before the issue happened – if you lost items you had – and you’ll get those back but lose anything you earned afterwards
iPad and I have asked for a rollback on at least five separate occasions and they ignore it and ask me to log into the game and all the other inane things that poorly paid, and technically incompetent customer services people say to customers whom they deem to be technically feeble. Honestly, the last 48 hours of trying to get them to either rollback my game or reinstate the missing content would test the patience of a Saint or make for a dark comedy.
PS – they have said they cannot rollback the game in their latest response to me: “I would like to inform you that we don’t have any option to roll the progress back to any particular date nether (sic) we can add the donuts as we cannot validate the loss on our end in our tool as per process” …yep, that is what I am dealing with and exactly as it was written by probably the 25th different person to respond.
Never used online chat (often the worst option for most companies) or email. Contact EA by phone and try to reach a rep in the US or UK/Ireland. They are the most helpful and have the most ability to do stuff.
But, as Graham said, if your problems are because you have that Samsung model, EA may not be able to help you, unfortunately.
As per my post above, I am on iOS and use an iPad. I cannot find a phone number for EA support, hence having to rely on the idiots via email and chat – who since posting my last post have asked me to explain the problem two more times and asked me to raise another case, in spite of there being three ignored cases open, including the one of the email thread that they are ignoring.
Try (650) 628-1500. I think it’s something like option 4 or 5 on the phone tree. But, at this point, I’d wait for US business hours on Monday to call, for your best chance of reaching someone in the States.
And I wouldn’t assume the rollback info you received was correct…it’s quite possible that their Asia service centers don’t have that ability, but it’s also equally possible that a US rep might.
That being said, I’ll admit that it’s been some years since I’ve had to get help from EA (hooping I’m not jinxing anything by saying that, kineahora!), so things may have changed substantially since I did.
Because –
1: that one shows up easily on searches including results from an EA site
and
2: it’s not me posting it
then I didn’t hold off putting this comment through with the number …
( Usually I wouldn’t approve a post with a phone number. Imagine if it was a wrong number belonging to some poor innocent ?!! )
They may be around on Saturday but not likely right now
I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, Graham…. Did you think I was criticizing you or something? (I wasn’t at all.)
My suggestion was for 411H4lloween…I found the number online and dialed it and got as far as listening to the phone tree to confirm that it was still a live number for EA (not some private number) and that there was an option for customer service on it before sharing it here. And, yeah…I already mentioned that they should probably wait until Monday to call at this point, since I’m not sure whether US support operates on the weekend.
No, meant as an Admin note –
Under normal circumstances nothing with a phone number, address or email would get approval and be posted
( links are also tested with an incognito browser session – if they can be checked without logging in and are suitable and relevant then they will get posted, if not they won’t )
.. also personally I’d hint they could be found but never post ’em – one typo and … !?!
The AHQ team usually has people around at the weekend, but dunno about Help
Thank you Sandra – very much appreciate the help. If I cannot find a UK number, which I cannot, no matter what search string I use and after spending far too long trawling the UK EA site, I will try to call the US line next week.
The shame of it being not only EA’s shockingly poor customer ‘support’ but also if I can get the game rolled back, which another three SC people have denied being possible, I will still have missed out on phase one of this event.
As before, huge thanks for trying to help.
PPS – they have confirmed that there is no UK/Ireland telephone support so basically:
There is no rollback option
There is no telephone support
There is nothing can, or will do.
Hmm …
https://www.ea.com/news/ea-to-open-customer-service-center-in-ireland
It’s an Irish Bank Holiday on Monday ( EA told me that !! ) but they should be open tomorrow
Finding phone numbers is harder, but not impossible …
( sorry but I won’t post things like that number online )
Graham, I appreciate your advice but when EA Customer Support have denied, in writing, that they can “roll back” my game AND have said, and I quote:
“Thank you for contacting EA help. My name is Rahul and I will assist you with your issue today.
I am sorry to inform you that we don’t have phone support team for England or Ireland.”
I don’t know what else to say.
As for posting the customer support number, if it is a public number, I do not see how that is an issue at all – unless EA do not want customers, who spend money with them, to contact said number.
All I can say is the UK number I used to use was out of service around Covid and the lockdowns but I’ve since found numbers shown for the sites in the UK, US and Ireland that may or may not be what you need.
I haven’t called them.
They might be a switchboard that can get you connected, or they may tell you Help doesn’t have a UK number – but they used to and they used to offer Rollbacks because I phoned and got them to fix my A town that way some years ago.
EA want you to go through the Help website and where possible find your own answer to get things fixed before talking to the Help team – a lot of the AHQ posts are something a player can sort
Graham, if the numbers are publicly viewable, I genuinely do not understand why you will not post a link to them.
Every search I do comes up with either a dead link (404) or with zero phone information but instead pushing you to chat or phone support.
Perhaps you are getting access to different information based on where you are located but from the UK, and using Google, I cannot find any number for EA support.
As I said above, if you don’t want to post a number that you say is readily available via the web, can you at least post a link to the phone number?
Do not use “EA Help” in the Google search or you’ll get the Support Site responses as if you went there.
Try EA Games and the town or city – that linked article may help – but the results I saw are not clearly confirmed as active or relevant.
I will not add anything further in case they are not the right numbers.
If they were links to EA sites and had numbers that’s different, but they are not
^^ PS – phone option will likely only work during the business hours for where the support centre is, no point trying now unless you try and catch the one in Texas before it shuts
I love that some buildings have monorail tracks. I’m about to restructure my town into different divisions, and already know where these will fit perfectly.
Apart from the token this looks OK, have already set up a separate area with monorail to put all these buildings in
