It’s that time of the week again, time for the Addicts Weekly Open Thread! So, let’s get the conversation going! Oh and remember…just because this is posted here today doesn’t mean you can’t comment on it all week long. This open thread will still be open for comments long after today is over!
Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

We’re in the final countdown of the THOH event! Event ends on Tuesday (the 14th), are you ready? Did you enjoy the event? Positives/negatives? Ready for what’s next? What do you think the next update will bring?
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that today is the Tiny Addict’s 2nd Birthday! Can you believe she’s 2 already? I know I can’t! We celebrated yesterday with a Minnie Birthday party (you can see some photos on my Instagram) and today we’re off to the zoo (after a breakfast of donuts, of course)!
How was the rest of your weekend? Do anything fun and exciting?

Just dropping in with a quick announcement about the next Addicts Live…..
Mark your calendars because the next episode of Addicts Live will be airing Next Saturday (November 18th) at noon ET (for timezone converter check here).
The next episode will feature, as usual, our thoughts about what’s going on in TSTO, lots of laughs, our usual crazy antics and of course we’ll be fielding your questions. And fingers crossed we have an awesome Thanksgiving Mini Event to discuss!
And those of you that can’t make the live stream, don’t worry a recording of the video will be up for your viewing pleasure after the stream is over. So you’ll be able to catch the re-run. 🙂

Fall has arrived and there’s a haze over our Springfield’s, that can only mean one thing….it’s Halloween in our pocket-sized towns! This year EA’s thrown a little magic into the mix, with an Angelica Button theme invading our towns. We’ve got beasts to battle, creatures to capture, wizards to wand wave and goblin gold to gather! Quite a few alliteration altercations huh?
This Event is broken up into 3 Acts, with each Acts containing part of the story. To help you move along with the event you’ll get several prizes per Act. Each prize will either be something fun for Springfield or something to help you move along in the event. For the third act, you’re tasked with collecting Toad Princes (
) to unlock each prize!
The sixth act 3 Prize awarded at 23,400 is Lord Montymort’s Lair, because even Lord Montymort needs somewhere to plan his evil schemes…

It’s that time…calling all Springfield designs of Spooky (and not so spooky) Proportions! We’re getting ready to do the next Springfield Showoff featuring your Halloween inspired designs! So prep those towns…because we want to see what you’ve done with your Springfield!
Now that the THOH event is nearing the end (remember it ends next Tuesday), it’s time to show off your towns. So send us your Halloween/Angelica Button inspired deigns and we’ll be putting up the Showoff post, featuring your designs, on TUESDAY November 14th…so you’ve got about a week (ok a day short of a week) to prep your towns. Take your time and design as you see fit! 🙂
So grab some screenshots of your town, or finish up those designs…just make sure to send your submissions in by about 8pm EDT Monday, November 13th. Can’t wait to see what YOU have come up with.
You can send your designs in two ways…either post a link to the image in the comments on this post or you can email them to us at TSTOAddictsblog@gmail.com. We won’t be pulling images from anywhere else, so please if you want to be featured either submit in the comments below or email your images to us.
Note: PLEASE try to limit your submissions to only 1-2 of your favorite screenshots. We like to try and let everyone showoff their town but it becomes difficult when some of you are sending in 7-10 images. Pick your favorite areas and send them in (or if you stitch photos together, that works too). We’ll try our best to get EVERYONE in, but please understand that sometimes we miss a photo or two. If we miss you one week, we’ll try really hard to make sure we get you in the next week. You’re always welcome to showoff your town, at any time, on our Flickr page. We know a lot of you have awesome towns that you want to show off, but please try to stick with this week’s theme. Remember, this isn’t a contest. There’s nothing to win. It’s just a fun way to showoff your town and get some design inspiration from your fellow Addicts. 🙂
