Where did THAT come from – O’Flanagan’s Pub

So you may have wondered why the heck an Irish Pub from Ireland is in Springfield now. Well, first off, because EA can really do whatever makes them happy (Exhibit A: Abraham Lincoln) but really, there’s more to it than that. It make sense. It’s St. Paddy’s day in Springfield and nothing really celebrates a Catholic Saint who rid the Emerald Isle of non-existent snakes than the indulgence of green beer and spirits in an authentic Irish pub. Nothing more “authentic” than a pub actually from Ireland… just saying.

Woo hoo! It’s officially the Day of the Festival of Patrick aka the Feast of Saint Patrick or St. Patrick’s Day. Time to bust out my favorite green Star War shirt and have some green beer. Tonight, I’m actually hosting karaoke at a little corner bar I’m fond of. Should be a good time.

Mora na maidine dhuit!

How’s everyone on this foine day? Figured it’s only appropriate to try out a little Gaelic since we finally got some St. Patrick’s Day in our towns. Green water, the return of the coveted pub and wishing well and of course, the new addition of the Sham Rock Café and Yupprechaun. I must admit, with the delay of this event, I was afraid we wouldn’t see anything new and I’m so happy my fears were wrong. I do wish it wasn’t for 120 donuts but nothing I can do about that. I snatched it up immediately but it was an easy decision since I had the old stuff, although I think EA is mocking me since I said I preferred the green and orange versions previously. This new building-character combo is a nice surprise.
