Here’s where you can talk about anything you want to talk about…TSTO Related, Simpson’s Related or ANYTHING. Just no Add me requests…those should go here. We’ll give you a few suggestions (like most Sunday’s you can talk about the current episode of the Simpsons) but for the most part you’re free to talk about ANYTHING your little Tapping Fingers desire…just keep it PG.

Got 160 donuts burning a hole in my pocket, and two characters I’d murder to get a hold of…seeking opinions from all you crazy kids as to whether I shell out for Frink now, or save save save up for a cheeky spot of Barney for the princely sum of 250 donuts later on. Would love to hear from those who have both!
(On another tack, what’s the Frink glitch that everyone’s been harping on about recently…just that amazing deal that was offered to noobs and freemium players…or did I miss somewhere that you can get Frink himself cheaply?)

No, finished SH more than 2 months ago (well I got both Paris and bored, anyway) but I like the way you’re thinking!
I’m enjoying this event because I don’t feel stressed about getting everything done. Goals have been easy until the apples in act 3. I’ve been focusing on getting free donuts from the rail yard and the daily challenges. I think this has been the best event for earning free donuts for freemium players. Looking forward to getting witch Marge soon. No matter what EA does, not everyone is happy with the events. I for one have nothing to complain about this time around.

so with roughly 5000 of all halloween crafting materials ( Except brains ) what would be the best items to craft before the event closes?
Wailing walls (2.25% bonus)and spooky walls (.05% bonus) are the gifts that keep giving after the event is over. That’s all I’ve been concentrating on this final week.
From the list posted (with adjusted notation by me):

There may be others, maybe better, but this one works well. Only thing I noticed missing is that there is a bonus of 300 for winning the fight at the campfire. (There was in my game. I don’t recall this number being posted). And there’s a bug that steals some of your apples at the end of the fight, possibly up to 12. (Up to 24 if using all premium skins.)
On a different note, I notice is how little of the “good” resources you can get if you’re completely freemium. And that the totals all add up to 20 total when including premium, except for snakes. It’s all a bit weird.
Help! I totally don’t understand how to get the kids to hunt nightmares. I have four brown houses.. I tap on them, and all I get is game money. It keeps telling me I have zero. And yes, I completed the part five thingie.
Tap on the brown house, collect rent, tap again and select the 4 hr task for the kids to hunt nightmares.
There’s nothing to select!

The Sandwich Horror starts the Act 3 questline. You have to do that to keep unlocking things for Act 3. That’s why you’re not progressing you’re not doing what the game says to do…..

Does anyone have a good design idea for wailing walls? I’m running out of buildings to put them behind. The walls are definetly the best thing offered in this event.
I have lots of real estate so I built a maze and a tower with Elder Blimp coming out the top. The maze especially looks really impressive when the rent comes up for all the walls at once.
Off my head, I placed 20 in a ‘U’ shape around my House of Terror – the little building that generates 5 daily tasks. One on each side giving it a long front. I think it takes 5, on each side, placed “wide”, to reach the back of the building. I then switched to “deep” on each side and “wide” in the center. I think that is how I did it.
Alright, 10 parallel on the left, 10 parallel on the right, 4 perpendicular behind the House, 3 perpendicular on the far right and 3 parallel on the back side. Squared up the whole concept.

Happy Sunday Everyone!
I was enjoying the Halloween event but Act 3 has not been exciting. I send the youngsters off to do their thing for four hours and I never see the skeletons, everything else spawn except those. Any ideas as to why? Don’t get many terrors now so dropping in neighbors towns is limited. Don’t collect when tapping in neighbors anymore, why is that??
Will I reach the last prize? Hard to say, I’m just going to play at my pace and if I don’t….its just a game….lol
Company coming for dinner, house is smelling good and I’ll have a nice glass of wine very….very soon. Isn’t the chef suppose to have one in their hand while they cook? LOL

I’m not getting any skeletons either, despite sending kids who are meant to spawn them. Annoying! I need them for the frogurt guy.
My best suggestion is to make sure NO other Nightmares are in the town as only 20 can be there at a time.
I tried that but atill do not get any skeletons or bunnys. I only get the snakes and zombies. Despite clearing beforehand?!?
Try hard closing and restarting your game. Sometimes it’s just out of sync
Does this apply to when you tap on the gate that was act 1’s final prize? My math has been off and I am wondering if this is the reason. Do you lose the extra 4 every time?

So even though I only have 4 skeletons awaiting me from the Brown House (from Database and Bart), if I have no other nightmares being hunted by the other kids, then I’ll get more skeletons?
Since act 3 started, my mausoleum sometimes spits out bunnies instead of skeletons, and for the last few days, I’d get like 2 star spawn and 6 skeletons. This morning both the mausoleum and the gate to nowhere gave me apple-less star spawn instead of skeletons (my town was fully clear before tapping on each, although why give the gate to nowhere 24 if there’s no bank anymore and a limit of 20?) The star spawn come out in a giant clump and move together just like skeletons, it’s strange.
I just tapped for my husband and his game gave him zombies out of the mausoleum, and then zombies, snakes, and 2 clumps of bunnies from the gate to nowhere. No skeletons to be seen today…
I only have Bart and this morning he only spawned 1 skeleton not 2.

Morning everyone, it’s Monday here in Australia. So hurry up and catch us up. I’m from the uk and travelling the world, and playing TSTO during change of time zones can be very frustrating. On part of the journey we left LA on Thursday evening, and landed in Fiji on Saturday morning. What the hell happened to Friday I don’t know but that was a whole day of tapping missed…..
I have a couple of questions… I see folks referring to their bonus multipliers, is there a way to find this out or do you have to keep track of it yourself? Also I saw someone say they were buying lots of wailing walls for multipliers but I see no reference to any bonus on they buy screen. Sorry if these have been answered before, I just didn’t know where to look. Thanks!
To see your multiplier percentage just tap on your conform-o-meter stars at screen lower left. The percentage will appear at the top of the conform-o-meter info box that pops up. As for wailing walls you are correct; there is no specific mention of the bonus on the crafting screen. It’s one of those “hidden” perks, much like the tennis courts of a while back. The best way to find out is just craft a sampling of items and see, or just keep checking this site for info. Hope this helps.

Could someone please fill me in on this Springfield Heights hidden bonus multiplier? The comments here are the first I’ve heard of it. I finally finished that long, hard grind for the Billionaire Haven last week, and I’ve stored some of the SH buildings. Is that a mistake? Do I need to leave them all out, or what? Thanks. Deluxe Condo : 1% each
Business Center : 2% each
Valet Parking : 3% each
Classic Mansion : 4% each
Modern Mansion : 5% each
In total players can obtain a 150% increase to their XP if they choose to place all 50 upgradable buildings.
Thats from Simpsons wiki…. so basically, if you want xp, leave the modern and classic mansions our for sure
Sorry to throw a wrench into the system, but I should say that the 150% number is (probably) not correct. Please hear me out. My stated bonus multiplier is 207%. I have all of the SH buildings out. All 50 of them. The Gulp-n-Blow stated payout is $100. When I collect at the Gulp-n-Nlow now it pays out $308. That means that my hidden multiplier from the SH buildings is 101%- not 150% (308 – 207 = 101).
I would like a ruling on this. Anyone?
The Springfield Heights buildings’ bonus multipliers apply only to XP, not cash.
The SH buildings only affect XP, not cash. I believe that is why it is hidden and not reflected in the overall bonus. As for your Gulp-n-Blow example I will try to explain as best I can since this confused me as well. Say you had no bonus. The GnB would pay $100 so any added bonus is already on top of that. With your 207% (and I’m assuming .xx, since it’s rounded up) you essentially earn 307% on all cash earned.

Did anyone check if you placed more than what you supposed to have, would the XP multiplier increased corresponding? I have a few extras due to game glitches
Every upgradable SH building that is currently placed in your Springfield adds to your multiplier – but only for xp so it doesn’t show in the display. If you’ve all 10 of each building the hidden xp multiplier adds up to 150%. I think it’s covered in one of the posts from when SH first came out, but I don’t remember which one.
Ok, thanks for the replies. I think I’ll leave things as they are for now. Tennis courts and wailing walls have got me at 150%. It seems sufficient.
Leave the Springfield Heights buildings out if you can…they offer a significant bonus multiplier on your XP (only)…I think the office buildings and modern mansions offer the highest percentages…can’t remember the details off-hand. Have you tried using this site’s own Google search to research this?
I’m over this event, none of the prizes in Act 3 are anything I want, I really didnt want the Homer skin but had no choice given game play has earned me enough candy apples to get him without really trying. Unless I wanted to stop playing altogether for the next 2 weeks but I love the game too much to do that. So looks like i’m stuck with his skin.
I’m very bored of this event tho. No new characters, I would have loved it even if we were given the creepy shopkeeper with the shopkeepers challenge building but no.. and i’ve had my hopes dashed of a L59 update for the last 3 weeks so I’m not even gonna expect it this week.
But i gotta say, this is our 8th week now since L58 came out… 8 weeks!!! EA has really dropped the ball lately.
I agree with you Matt. I’ve been over this for awhile now been playing since the beginning. This was a very lame Halloween I miss all the fun stuff from the first one. But I continue to play. Bring on Christmas it can’t be any worse. I am grateful for the donuts tho😊 I do love this game and I love this site.
I feel as though I’m not earning nearly enough apples per day to earn all the prizes. Currently I am where I should be for tomorrow (monday the 9th) but I feel like I’m only ahead because of the early quests. I’m doing the multiple brown houses trick but thats netting me less than 30 apples every 4 hours. I always battle m’sther but even with all this I feel like sooner than later I won’t be earning enough for the 700+ needed per day to get all the prizes. Anyone have any suggestions or am I just being paranoid?
Arg I’m with you. This whole 3rd act seems unnecessarily complicated. I have read the addicts instructions about 25 times but can’t seem to get more than a handful of apples every day. I have even taken to only sending just a couple of the kids to the brown house but still no nightmares spawn. If it wasn’t for the cemetery and snake log I would probably not even get that many apples. On homer skin and it is almost like the apples have come to a grinding halt.
Also why does it say upgrade the campfire if there is really no way to do that anymore. I am stuck on zombies and there is no way I’ll get 75 more zombies from the portal.
Build more brown houses. Divide your kids up so that no more than 20 nightmares are in each one. Clear one house at a time, tapping the nightmares before you clear the next house. The nightmares appear near the first brown house. Turn your IRS off before you tap the brown houses.

In my town, the nightmares spawn only from one house. I send the kids to separate houses. When ready, I tap the first house, then go to the house that spawns to collect the nightmares. Then I go to the next house, Tap and go back to the spawning house to collect, each time. You just have to figure out which house is actually spawning. I think it is the one it would send all the kids to if you hit do it in the task box. Hope this helps.
I think you can just ignore the upgrade campfire.
I have a question about Moe. I have this shaded out task for him, Make a video of Lorleen – I think. I have Lorleen, but it says I need a quest to activate it. Is there a building or an object I need to open up this job?
It’s just a glitch. You can safely ignore it.
Had a random quest line this morning for Luigi to toss pizza. It was called “Look Mum no hands” nothing else after it was completed. Anybody know what that was for?….possibly an episode tie in??
The game gives out random quests from time to time to keep you busy, if 6-hour task book doesn’t have much in it. This sounds like one of those. When you complete it, you’ll likely get another, unless there’s new stuff going on in the game by that point.
That makes sense. I haven’t had all quests (besides K Land) and all levels completed ever until a couple weeks ago.

Sheesh EA, you shouldn’t remind me of old games I’d rather be playing than this…. I’ve been thinking of Zelda, Paper Mario, and The Simpson’s Tapped Out.. But on the plus side they do sometimes make me think of the other EA game Plants Vs Zombies..
It says improved halloween jobs for Holiday homer, can he earn apples after his quests are completed?
Apparently he can earn money (not event currency) at a premium rate at the party buildings (like the Simpson house and Moe’s, etc.). So, either it’s a lie or it is referring to this. Most likely it’s an oversight as Holiday Homer’s regular jobs are non-premium.
Hope it’s okay if I vent about a couple of things.
(1) Formless Terrors. They are super-fast and they skim right along buildings, so that the game can (seemingly to me) willfully misinterpret my taps as tapping the building instead of the terror. Then when I’m busy dismissing the building’s dialogue box, the terror dashes off and/or disappears into a building. I’ve even stored buildings to force a terror out of one. But then the time it takes me to get out of the inventory/build mode tends to give the buggers time to escape. This reminds me of some other event where it seemed as if something we needed to squish purposely ran into my Brown-house complex. Once I was so frustrated, I stored all of my Brown houses, only to take a huge hit on Indolence. ::sigh:: I wish TSTO wouldn’t give these stupid things the ability to disappear into buildings. PLUS. If we have a questline dialogue going on in the foreground, I think that EVERYTHING in the background should FREEZE so we can focus on the dialogue without worrying about the buggers (terrors or whatever is part of current event) escaping into buildings.
(2) I totally got screwed on Monorail. Never managed to finish all the tasks for ANY act, ended up with no Rail Yard, so I can’t make tracks, and my monorail stations are sad things with not enough railing to do anything really cool. Anyone think EA will ever give those of us who failed Monorail another chance to get the stupid rail yard? And should I just store my useless recycling centers?
(1) try following the terror and wait for it to start disappearing into a building. right when you see this occur, tap as much and as quick as you can on it, and you should be able to mash out a bunch before it finally disappears into the building. you can also wait a few seconds to see if it reappears, or whether you managed to squashed all the terrors out of it already.
(2) i read a comment recently on here where the person said they contacted ea and complained about the lack of a railyard, and ea ended up giving it to them. YMMV on that, but might be worth a shot….

(1) Sometimes I’ve been able to do that; others the game is just way too insistent that I simply must be tapping on a Brown house and turning it into a Christmas Brown house. 😉

I was trying to remember if for TSTO if we’ve had leaves (on the ground) and orange grass for Thanskiving but did a little searching and I don’t think we’ve had.
I’m hoping the next Level or Event would be a Baby Event (in the game), Alissa might have her own Baby Event before then :p

I read on the EA forum that someone fixed this by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. Only do this if you have an Origin or EA ID.

Are you looking for just Ralph or the dialog too. Dialog is tricky to find as shown in game. I can scour the files for the Ralph one. But just an FYI… those images are very teeny to start with. Like 30x or 50x.

I have reached the far South West position, so I know where the Southern Border is. Next point of attract is starting at the North East. If I can track the cost of last three Northern plots of land, heading east just below the mountains, I can calculate how much further east I can go.

Act three is pretty boring for me. I’m sure I have plenty of time to get the apples I need but I’m not sure I will because Fallout 4 is being released on Tuesday! I will probably be too busy playing that to even look at TSTO during the last week of the event.
