It’s 4th of July in Springfield! A little update has just hit our devices (woo-hoo!)….this is an IN GAME update, so no need to visit the app store to update. This will go with your Stonecutters game…so if you’re still trying to collect those last emblems you still can. This won’t replace Stonecutters. An update to remove Stonecutter still may hit later today…we don’t know yet. So still play Stonecutters as if it was the end….assume you’re on borrowed time.
Now onto the Firework Spectacular!
Homer and Apu will kick off the event with a little auto-start dialogue….
As always we’ll have more info as soon as we finish going through the update ourselves.
FYI…there is STILL a Stonecutters Take Down in the files. There were two sets of files listed. 4th of July and Take down were BOTH listed in the files. So my guess is an update in the App Store will appear later this afternoon. We’ll let you know as soon as it hits…
For those that don’t like to know update details will be below the fold…so WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD
To say I’m excited about this update would be a major understatement…i’m ECSTATIC! When the Season Finale aired in May the first thoughts that came to my mind were…THIS WOULD BE AWESOME IN TSTO! And now…here it is!
Here are the details for the 4th of July Update….
Freemium Stuff:
Available now….
Buildings:
Giuseppe’s Workshop– $5,000. Comes with Giuseppe. 4×6. Earns $300, 30xp 24hr Build.
Decorations:
Lincoln Memorial– $100,000. Requires Level 5 & Improves Vanity. Comes with a mini quest if you have Lincoln.
Characters:
Giuseppe– Comes with his house.
Premium:
Available now…
Fireworks Barge– 80 Donuts. Requires Level 15. Earns 2.75% bonus on all cash and XP. Water only placement (it is a Barge after all)
Cherry Tree– 180 Donuts. Requires Level 5. Earns 2.75% bonus on all cash and XP. Comes with George Washington
Characters:
George Washington– Comes with the Cherry Tree. You know because Abe can’t be the ONLY one in this game
Later additions to the game….
On July 4th the following will enter the game….
Returns from Last Year!
American Flag- $5,600
Pinwheel Firework– 40 Donuts
Box of Fireworks-60 donuts.
Lisa Liberty– 75 Donuts. UNIQUE Only 1 per Springfield
Liberty Bell– Will be $50,000.
On July 11th the following character/building combinations will return to the game…IF YOU DIDN’T ALREADY PURCHASE THEM
Nighthawk Diner and Rex Banner– Correction…this year this is PREMIUM. I guess bringing it back means it’ll be premium now. I have a theory about this which I’ll post about later…anyway this will be 90 donuts.
Abe Lincoln and His Cabin- Making his THIRD Appearance in TSTO is Honest Abe & his Log Cabin. He WILL BE Premium and most likely 150 donuts.
Permanent Addition to the Game:
WILL NOT Leave with 4th of July Update…
Sit N Rotate– $10,000,000. Requires Level 35. Improves Gluttony. It’s HUGE, 9×9. And takes THREE Days to build. Animated. The top spins.

Bunny, i cannot access your town! Is there an issue on my end or was i removed due to not playing daily? i can get to all neighbors but you! When i try, i first get spinning donut then the donut stops the screen just stays that way!
Yah…I’m locked out. May have to do an EA rollback.

This is my B game. The one that has ALL the stockpile of donuts in it…no my freemium…so I am a lil freaked out. Hope its fixed fast.

Are the fireworks one time use only? If I spend the donuts and tap them, will they disappear? (Just like my money and real fireworks, I guess.)
They are decorations with an animation. All mine from last year are still in my town. No promises with your real life fireworks lol.
Love this!!!! I have been wanting Abe’s Cabin since I started playing. I see it while visiting neighbors and now I can finally get it. I just wish George Washington was a bit cheaper. I don’t know if I can do 180 donuts for a tree, seems pretty pricey, maybe for 160, but idk. I will probably end up breaking down and just cringe and buy it.
Hi neighbors! Is anyone else having this problem? About every 30 seconds my game freezes up then I get a message saying that TSTO isn’t responding and prompts me to wait, report or press ok. After about 15 seconds the game unfreezes until it happens again. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks!
Too many people on the servers at once is most likely what was happening. Should be good to go now 🙂
I also have an update waiting in the Play Store. It will have to wait until I collected 500 more emblems and 3 more donuts.

So lucky for me this new update fixed my issue with Rex & the kwik-e-mart. I was afraid I would lose my apu skin if I sold them and restarted so I’ve just been dealing but I checked as soon as the update hit & he can stake out the kwik-e-mart once again! Lol.
I am still waiting on EA though, I’m still missing items from my store & I have had 0 response from them. 🙁 I always wanted that silly escalator and now I couldn’t get it even if I did have room 🙁
I can’t wait to get Washington & the cherry tree & Lisa liberty. Sooo excited for those. And the barge YAY for more water stuffs 🙂

If you are a new player and want to buy a 1 of everything it would cost a whopping 705 donuts total. It seems a bit too much doesn’t it especially for those who started the game after last year’s 4th of July. (including me)

I just noticed that the all-American Apu costume now earns a premium rate, does this mean he will return as premium also or did this happen before and I’m just now noticing?
Nope that’s new with the update. More than likely it’s premium. I have to go in with my “C” game that’s super low level to see how he’s back in the game this year (since my A and B games both have him) 🙂
I’m excited to get into this event because I’m actually getting money and might be able to afford some of the things in this event. In all the other ones I had no money 😞

Any idea if Gil will return with a Donut sale? Couple premium items I would like to purchase. But I want to maximize my purchase power. One more comment. This site has been more than helpful. I don’t start any update questing until I check here first.
It’s always possible but it might not be until something later in the summer. We’ll have to wait and see what comes 🙂

Don’t stress on it. The item is here to stay. Just play wisely. Send characters on short tasks that YOU can manage per your time restraints. 😉

Okay, so how do you get get money to buy all this really cool but expensive stuff?
Play the game in a money earning manner. 😉
Max out your FP level so you earn 3X on your neighbor taps. Send characters on short tasks that you can manage depending on YOUR time limits. Whatever time blocks you can use to earn the most money per day. Don’t stress on the Sit n Spin, it is here to stay.

Today is July the 2nd as everyone knows and for done stupid reason I never got to update to the new 4th of July stuff I went to the okay store and still it never said I had to update I’m getting really frustrated now I’m still on the stone cutter crap and it hasn’t responded itself out update to the new fireworks stuff I don’t know what to do or how to get it to update ant help is great thanks
The Stonecutters are a completely separate takedown update then the 4th. The takedown will most likely be within the app market. As for the new 4th of July, Keep Homer available as this one is an in game update. So it will load automatically. If it has not yet and Homer is free, try some basic troubleshooting like restarting your device. The 4th update hits quick and fast, so it might already be in there and you just didn’t notice it. Stonecutters will continue on til the takedown hits the app markets, so the two are running side by side right now.

Permanent. If you look in your menu for buildings (aspirationals) you will see it does NOT have a Limited Time tag on it. 😉
Lincoln’s hissy fit when he sees his memorial is hilarious. With all of EA’s tech issues, on the whole their imagination is top notch and really ties in with the Simpson’s ethos.

So the things that come out on July 4th are they available only on July 4th

The question was how long they’ll be available. Will they only be there on the 4th and then not available anymore or will it be possible to buy them on, say, the 9th?
The limited items for the 4th will only be available for the 4th. They only last 24hrs and “kill” on the 5th. Thanks anayway. 😉
