The best gift I got was from my mom when I was about 14, she asked me if I liked the spice girls (they were huge at the time) and I said sure I guess so. Come christmas morning every single present I opened was spice girl themed! I’m talking clothes, pens/pencils, books, jewelry, if it was spice girl branded I probably got it. I also got every version of their dolls including the singing versions. I was a little embarrassed receiving dolls at that age but I loved everything. 16 years later I still have all the dolls in their packaging 😀
Santa knew to get me G.I.Joe toys when I was a kid. Fun times.
EasyBake Oven! I loved all the little packets but one. My favorite was some kind of a little orange cake. I felt so grown up bringing my baked treats in to my parents, and they grinned and pretended they didn’t taste like chemicals 🙂
My favorite gift – the beagle puppy! Of course he belonged to my brothers as much as he belonged to me, but I fed him and cared for him, so I knew that he was really my puppy, not theirs.
My favorite gift I got for Christmas was the hess trucks. Got the one from 2000 and 2001 those trucks were so much fun.
My favorite gift as a child is a tie between Barbie Dreamhouse or my blue Schwin bicycle.
My talkboy!!! I wanted to be just like Kevin from Home Alone @ Home Alone 2! Best Christmas movies!
My favorite gift was the Star Wars AT AT walker! Such a huge toy to add to my star wars collection!
Favorite Christmas gifts as a kid: Care Bears and art supplies. This year my favorite present was actually socks. Special cooling socks cuz my feet are always hot 🙂
My talkboy!!! I wanted to be just like Kevin from Home Alone!
My little Mermaid t-shirt when I was 8. Wore it till it was thin and full of holes. Lol
My very own Michael Jackson you are not alone single. ❤
Badminton Racket!
My favorite gift that I received when I was a kid was a Creepy Crawlers Bug Maker. I loved creating those little plastic bugs, especially the glow-in-the-dark and neon ones. I ended up turning it into a bit of a business, taking orders from my classmates in my 4th grade class and making custom bugs for them… that was until my teacher thought it was disruptive to class and took away my order form!
In the early 80s, when I was a young child, In my hometown we sent letters to Santa via the local bulletin. Then a week later, they would publish certain letters of kids and that same day, on the defunct old steel rails, Santa would come and those kids whose letters were chosen got to get up on and personally tell Santa what they wanted. After three years of asking for it this was my year. In the paper was my letter with one item onait The Millennium Falcon. I saw Santa and told him, but with all the noiseand cameras I wasn’t sure he had heard me. I needed to make sure so I stood at the highest point on the train I could get to, addressing the audience as well, (in case some generous soul would hear me and take pity), MILLENNIUM FALCON!!!! But it didn’t seem like anyone heard. So I dismounted, crestfallen. Half expecting Santa to have had it with him there.
Super Nintendo!!
I loved my hand-me-down BICYCLE. Rode in nearly every day and wa, way further than my parents ever knew. Back in those days we did stupid stuff like putting card on the spoke to make a cool ‘engine’ sound while riding.
A Walkman
Date self. Cave Clause leave rock of very own. Miss good old epoch.
The best gift I ever got was when I was 12. I had seen a big stuffed turtle in the display case at our local 5 and dime. For weeks that is all I asked for then anoyt Thanksgiving time it disappeared from the case. I was so upset about not getting it. However I discovered Christmas morning that my grandfather was the one who bought it.
We got an Atari 7200. It came with Super Breakout, Pac-Man, and Defendor. It was awesome, me and my brothers played that thing all the time.
My favorite gift was one of the earliest Speak & Spell handhelds with the raised buttons. It was an unexpected gift and I loved it.
Game boy original with the simpsons game! (and looney tunes)
it literally amazed me and kept me amused for hours!
I think one of my favorite gifts was a ps2 when it first came out. There were so few available that year and my mom and I managed to snag one of the last two at our local toys r us, which doesn’t exist anymore. I still have it too =)
Star Wars Death Star in 1978.
My favorite gift was a Spirograph I received from my uncle on one of the lady Christmas we had with him. I spent countless hours drawing random designs with that thing.
My favourite gifts were Barbie dolls. I was waaaaay into them as a child lol I do recall two in particular, both black Barbie dolls, one was a Rose Princess and you could pull the strings in the back to change her hairstyle etc, and the other was a hairstyle barbie and came with curlers and flatiron and hairclips and more of the same 🙂
Best gift ever received as a kid was the original NES with Rob the robot! It was SO much cooler than the Atari and way kickedstarted my geekdom!
My favorite present was a new bike. My parents hid it in the shed thinking we wouldn’t find our big presents but that didn’t work☺️ My sister and I rode all the time.
A Monchichi…..that I still have at 42.
