Homer: But Marge, I need to buy these over-priced sunshades so I’ll get invited to the VIP party and become a Z-list celebrity. This is the only way I’ll feel validated as a woman.
Marge: Please, whoever is in charge, make Homer do something useful and productive with his time.

Despite 2015 of TSTO starting with massive server outages it gets a little better when you get 10 Free Donuts! Plus you’re treated to a fun questline…where Homer plays a game about himself. Talk about breaking down the 4th wall….

Wok up this morning after a whole night of down service to a donut quest line! Heck yes! So clever too. Best thing about this game is when they mock themselves and the game.
Okay – time to show my pop-cultural ignorance, but what “trashy reality star dress-up game” are they alluding to? I don’t think it’s an all I’m familiar with….

My guess is the Kardashian game (I don’t know which sister since I don’t pay that much attention to them). I’m not sure if any of them are considered trashy but that is the only dress up game I remember seeing in the App Store recently.

Yeah it’s the Kim K game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. it’s become a huge hit in the last few months since it was release in June. Everyone on my Facebook has been playing it. Doesn’t help that my Facebook is full of scene queens haha. :p
Definitely the Kim Kardashian game. There’s been a lot of people making fun of that game on several podcasts I listen to. As for Kim, she laughing all the way to the bank. 😕

My game was down about 8 hours uninstalled app reinstall then it started working . Not for sure if it helped or just the right timing that EA got it working .

I have not been able to play for 2 days. Its either bart server screen or the games goes back to level one I was thinking of doing a uninstall/reinstall. What do you think?
I know the servers have been up and down for the last couple of days. (i had issues yesterday as well as today) You can try contacting them tomorrow if you’re still having issues…could be something with your specific game.

10 free donuts is a slap in the face. Also where is the monorail that was said to be for 2014. Remember New Years day 2014’s dialuge? Epic fail EA. :/
It is SUCH a shame that the servers went down for this…. IMHO: Funniest. Quest line. Ever. (LOL)

It seems weird to send Homer on a 24 hour quest and only get money without donuts at the end. Not that I’m complaining majorly since you get 10 donuts from a few 3 or 5 minute tasks.
I’m still upset that I wasn’t able to log in all day Christmas and half the day of the 26th (cry-baby alert hehe). I didn’t get the Duff can Xmas tree for free and I refuse to spend donuts to get it. I also missed out on being able to get started collecting bells until the 26th, meaning I probably won’t get the island at the end of the event. I got the Nativity scene earlier than expected, but I doubt I’ll get everything this time, unless they expand the event as a surprise.

What’s not to love about free donuts! Luckily I got on early enough to make it through the donut quests and have been otherwise occupied the rest of the day unfortunately witnessing Baylor lose in the Cotton Bowl…. Now I wish I had 10 actual donuts so I could eat my blues away…
I got booted right after I got the 6 donuts…couldn’t get back in the game. Couple hours later, got back in, and got those 6 donuts AGAIN! So I ended up with 16 extra. Makes up for the servers being down!!! Happy New Year!

Was able to finally get Homer playing his game. The outage was annoying- here I have a day to do nothing but be lazy, and I couldn’t play my game for most of it. At least I’m bAck in for the time being yay!!!
Was just happy to be able to log on for a few minutes and send Homer on his 24 hour quest, and everyone else on long quests, anticipating another sever outage. Thank you Everyone at TSO for keeping us informed! Would have been nice to play today, but, that’s the way the doughnut crumbles!
I completed the first task and didn’t receive any donuts just xp & $. Then the quest line disappeared.
I’ll probably pick up a Snowball II snow-cat in my two freemium games, since 10 donuts puts me over the top in terms of having the 20 donuts it takes to purchase it. Cheapest 2% bonus item available, even if it’s just a melted puddle of slush for most of the year.
So many people are playing that I can’t do my quests now. 🙁
Annoyingly I had to stop playing while Homer was doing a three minute job. Oh well.
Awesome..I do wish there was a way to earn more bells through quests but nothing is popping up…oh well slow and steady.

Things seems to be returning to normal now… albeit slowly.
At least they acknowledged the issue this time. That was my main complaint about how the Xmas issue was handled. As far as anyone knew, it wasn’t. It takes no time at all to send out a tweet or a facebook notice about it.

Since EA is not the only one having problems (see Valve’s Steam-market), I wouldn’t blame EA.
