Hey there Hoppereenos,
Bouncing by as a small issue seems to be increasingly spreading so wanted to bring attention to it. Many players stating Tasks disappearing, Buildings, and even Characters….
Let’s first look at the Basics for ANY issue you are having in the game. Make sure you try all the Basic Troubleshooting Steps (as EA will even ask you to do so as well, so might as well get it out of the way).
Now for the issues we are seeing…
Random Tasks Locking Up: Characters are losing ability to complete tasks, like all 4hrs. (This may or may not be linked to Buildings disappearing)
Buildings Missing: The spots are still there and open, even the $$ icons are still there… but NO MORE BUILDING. Even more odd, the Buildings are back in the Menu in many cases for purchase again. I personally did run into this in the past, but with just one building. A call to EA and it was placed back into my game.
Characters Missing: Random Characters sent on tasks just never come back. Not in Town Hall. Not in Buildings. No where to be found in Locator.
If you are having these issues and the troubleshooting did not help, please reach out and Contact EA right away. Getting the Call feature is always best, but with the later time in the day… it may not be open right now. You can always try again later or tomorrow.
To also help to draw attention to this, I have set up a Forum post for the issue. Feel free to add your info there and FIRE IT UP to bring attention to the issue.
UPDATE BUNNY: As I have been playing around with this issue, there are a few things I may suggest players try if they want to see if this helps resolve the issue (others have tried this too and are having some success).
Go to the area where everything is “disappearing” and store EVERYTHING in the location you can. Put it all in your Inventory. Why? I am seeing over an over that possible size changes on many of the buildings is causing a coding nightmare and for the buildings to basically now be “overlapping” on another in the game. Maybe causing this disappearance. This is causing mass chaos as the game does not know what to do. So by storing items in the area and placing them back in the appropriate grids may just help out your game. (You might also wanna do a quick exit out and restart device too).
So, wait on EA… or give this a try. Up to you. Let us know if you do give it a try and your results.

Guess Lisa must have gone on vacation, wonder when she’s due back in town, I miss her, even went and bought her a castle. She’s gonna be mad she missed the construction of it, hope I built it the way she would have if she were here.
EA fixed my missing Lisa and I was able to fix the other 25 characters I was missing on my own… But I’m stuck on Krusty. I’m having a hard time remembering. Did he come with the krustyland shuttle? If he did I guess I’ll have to have EA fix that one too.
My brain started working again! Duh Krusty burger! Awesome now it’s all fixed!!
Princess Martin only has 3 tasks… His 24 hr task for example is gone!
Yes, for unknown reason two of his tasks disappeared with the thaw. Disappointing for all of us who bought the ice castle.
I haven’t noticed anything missing as if yet in my game but when I move across my town, buildings that are only appearing on the edges of my screen tend to disappear and re appear slightly, but when I go over to then their fine and appear. A few times a building has just turned into a jump mess of codes and numbers but if I just pick it up and place it back down that seems to do the trick.
I’m a little freaked out now, gunna have to do a head count lol
Is it just me or is Moe’s glitching out now? The bar light is blinking, but no money or cheque or even a handshake. I click on it to see what’s going on and all it does is give me a strange spring like click. As far as people disappearing? You know I haven’t really paid attention…..
Never mind, lack of sleep has taken its toll….. It’s Moe’s shotgun I hear. I’m gonna go curl up in that old washing maching at Cletus’s and have some somethin’ stew.

TWONICORN* Checked my character section in my storage and it wasn’t there. Then I checked All Items stored area and all the way at the end, there was my Twonicorn. So check there.
Thanks for the inventory tip – I checked after reading this and voila – there was Lisa! In time to do the episode tie-in missions.
I’ve managed to get all of my characters back besides Lisa – since I cannot store the Simpson house I’m not sure how to get her back … Ideas?
When Homer went missing in my town during Halloween 2013, I had to go through EA to fix it. I recommend the call option during the day because that seems to be when the specialists are around but I’ve also had success with chat at night for smaller issues.

With the original glitch, attempting to store and restore buildings was what led to the poof! Whatever they fixed last night got me everything back, except I had to store and replace every item in order for the characters to return. Except, of course, one cannot store the Simpsons’ House, so Lisa is still missing from my game (like Mel). Currently have another call into EA….
A funny thing happened while I was on the phone with the EA rep yesterday. After attempting to roll back my game to see if that would fix the problem, it did that thing where it treated me like I had never played the game before and made me watch the cut scene and go through the tutorial before I could get to the login screen. She thought that was horrible and created a bug report for the EA tech staff to follow through on. Since that’s been a complaint for oh so long, I thought it was funny that she was so indignant that the game did that ;0)
My glitch is I sent all characters on 24 hr tasks. I go back and check my Springfield and most of my characters are no longer on their 24 hr task. The others are still in 24 hr tasks. I do have two Springfields. I log in and out of both frequently. Could this possibly be a new glitch?

My Springfield is nearly back to normal now, I managed to store my buildings, it wouldn’t let me do that before so nearly have all my characters back. I’m still missing Lisa however and as I can’t store the Simpsons’s house I think I will have to wait for the fix for that. Still annoyed I lost my corn, had only 20 days left!
I am in the same boat! And of all characters to be lost, why is it Lisa, my favorite?!
I was tempted to nuke, but was afraid the buildings might not all be in my inventory, so I did as bunny suggested and started storing individual buildings. I’d store one goto krustyland, return then replace. I did this with my dining area and now the game is back to normal. After the gilded truffle is when everything was good.

Okay, this is weird. Post winter, and just put everybody on a 24 hour shift. Artie Ziff is professing his love to Marge. There is no Marge! Who boy.

Unfortunately that’s one thing beyond our control. We just need to keep letting EA know.
Only other thing I can think to do with my issue is to blow up my town…and I rly dont want to do that.
I’d wait. Talking to an EA rep last night, they are aware of the issue and working on a fix.
Well it seems to have resolved itself today. The only thing is I had to store my prison to get snake back. but this time when I replaced the prison it did not make a ton of stuff disappear. My characters tasks are all unlocked again! Woo Hoo! I hope everyone else is okay now as well!
My town appears to be fixed. The get some of the characters out again I had to store a building and then place it out again but everything appears ok now =)

Discovery|Resolution: Inventory items, when viewed by category do not show ALL items (glitch)
Hi, I’m level 40, 152 doughnuts and about $170,000, I tried to play and I am now level 5, with 17 doughnuts and $947. I have deleted the game, redownloaded, reset my iPhone, logged out and back in on Origin but no luck, I’m still level 5. It’s annoying me soo much seeing as I’ve been playing well over a year and spent so much real money in this game! I have lost EVERYTHING and I just don’t know what to do. I’ve done everything I can think of. #NotHappy

EA called me about my missing Twonicorn! She said that even tho neither of us could find it, it was showing i had it and recommended i wait till the following update to see if it resolves the issue! No biggie!
On a different note, i inquired about the two premium islands and they let me keep them (the ones i purchased under limited time and the ones they gave for free) plus they gave me back the sprinkles!

It looks like they fixed it. In my town, everything is back to normal. Let’s hope it stays that way.
I have had this issue since the Easter update last year. I am still missing Fat Tony. I would build an item and when it was done and dropped into my town it never stayed. I receive 7 of the krusty land ferris wheels and two or 3 of many buildings that i had to rebuild. When i would store the building and go to krusty land and come back the building would re appear and i would have a second in storage. Right now i have two android dungeons you can see on my game. Mkl04. My timers never worked and was not able to play the clash of clones because never counted down any nerds. So to make a long story short. !!! Too late!!!!
ea finally had to give me a whole new town.and account. They could not even get into mine it was completely hosed up. But on a g ood note whatever they did to the Hallowwen event fixed my first town. Now I was actually. Able to complete the Christmas event in both games without issues. Except when servers down.
It was so nice not to be aggravated.
Yes, i updated the app yesterday and now many of the characters are simply gone. I am level 48 and I had all of the freemium content , now it all appears in the build menu. Although, the buildings are still in their original place, the game is not recognizing them as existing. Along with that, the characters that do exist are not able to complete their tasks because the game doesnt think the building exists. I contacted ea through the online chat and he said to give it 24 hours for the server to reupdate, although I am not buying this. I have also deleted and reinstalled the app and that hasn’t helped either….any ideas/suggestions?!
reminds me, I am missing a lot of stuff. And reinstalling the game doesn’t work, I tried that many times. I had tons of valentines items and now they all seem to be gone, I am pretty sure I am missing a lot of my castle items too. I had the two incorn but now thats gone along with the warriors on their posts, they seem to be gone and I am also missing like 20 castle walls, I only seem to have about 9 even though I am sure I was closer to having 30 or more. Because during the castle event I had a huge wall thing I made for the castle and now its all gone. Not in my storage or town
So I’ve fixed mine, or EA fixed mine, but I never called or posted in their forum.
I think I did everything listed in the troubleshooting guide, but not one thing fixed it all. I stored the farm, took it back out and I was then able to plant and put people on task there. I also noticed when I hit the edit button on the Stonecutters lodge it was red, as if not fitting in its space, so I adjusted that and that’s what made all the buildings start behaving normally when in edit. I think the big help was downloading the game onto my iphone and logging in, playing a bit then logging off. I saw huge improvement after that.
Still after all of that my town was behaving properly but Marge and Moe were still missing. So the last thing I did was log off again, reboot my ipad, log back in and I then stored Moe’s yet again (with little hope really) but it worked! My town is back to normal, all of my characters seem to be back. Though honestly I could probably be missing some and never notice. Thanks guys for a place to hash this all out, get ideas and come up with a solution.

I’ve apparently lucked out. I did a no-nuke redesign this week. Still need to beef up the decorations. Even putting things in storage, etc. didn’t harm anything. I also bought the castle and haven’t had an issue.
The only glitch I’ve seen is my Yes-Man. Every time I put him on a task, he moves SUPER fast to wherever he’s going. But he’s done that since I bought him before the update, so I’m sure it’s not related to the other problems everyone is having. It’s a glitch, but no one that causes a problem for me.
I sent everyone on 12 hour tasks last night and everyone except Bart and Stampy will be ready in an hour. Counter for Bart and Stampy says 8 hours left
Well I waited 40 minutes for a call from EA this morning then got “disconnected”. My other case was closed for some reason. I have to go to work now so oh well I guess. I hope others report this directly to EA. I also used bunnys link and posted on the forum at EA as well. Thanks!
I smell a rollback! Too many big issues here. Rollback to before the issues occurred, would be the easiest fix.
At least on my game, rolling back didn’t fix the issue. Game expert #3 is on the case and I’m waiting for another callback.
Fortunately, I haven’t been affected by this but man this game is scary! All these glitches that are constantly happening frighten me, I was thinking of purchasing another premium character but now I don’t know…
