Oh hey there Addictereenos… so I’m still lamenting the thaw in my town. I really love snow-time in TSTO. Of course that made me remember reader ideas about a weather button in our towns to bring back snow which got me remembering more of the great ideas you guys and dolls have. Every so often, I try to highlight these ideas into one big post and here it is.
All the ideas here come from the Addicts forum, the previous wish list post and other posts where I saw the idea and typed it down. I even included your ideas from my last What a Wookiee Wants. By no means is this a perfect system (especially the cull from unrelated posts) but I do the best I can. If your idea got missed or written down wrong, I apologize but you can always comment on this post and add it again. Trust me when I say this is a time and brain-intensive process so any failures are the authors but I do the best I can. I’m more than willing to add your name to items if it was missed and the addition is important to you.
As for EA… I sincerely hope you read posts like this because there are some boffo ideas here. Seriously, the awesome readers of this site hopefully make your lives much easier. If you’re not reading, than you’ll miss me say I wrote Santa to give you coal for the early removal of my beloved snow. P.S. I think Rudolph is gonna pee on said coal too. Said holiday sadness might just be averted by guaranteeing you’re on the NICE list next year. Helping others is the first step.
Anywho… I broke down the ideas this time by category. Take a gander. You’ll see that a lot of folks had the same ideas, we want a lot of things and people are pretty creative. For the record… I excluded MORE LAND from the list because I’m sure we all agree MORE LAND would be nice. Did I mention MORE LAND. Hey EA… maybe you can save yourself from the ammonia smell of Rudolph’s golden shower by bringing us MORE LAND?

Being able to put any object in any square not have a gap between placement points and being able to rotate everything 360 degrees would make my year..
An excellent post……..lots of great ideas and I think EA will pick up on some of these as they have done in the past.
I love the idea of the really tall guy and his car so as a one off character update EA my vote is for him and his car.

As a theme how about superheroes? Some ofus have fruitbatman howabout stretchdude and clobber girl captain quick piemam and cupcake boy radioactive man and Bartman………..A tie in with Avngers movie the dependable s and would allow a host of character skins who wouldn’t want to see Marge as the Scarlet Witch?……..OK that’s just me then.

I would like to see a change of seasons with every actual change of seasons. So in March, we see snow disappear, and buds appear on trees. In June we see trees in full bloom. In September we see leaves fall, and in December we see snow.
I wouldn’t mind this, but it’s like for three seasons in Springfield to be the *opposite* of what it is IRL (without my having to move to the southern hemisphere). So, when it’s cold and wintry here, I could enjoy visiting a nice summery Springfield, and when I’m sweltering in the summer here, I could enjoy a visit to the cool, snowy Springfield.
But I think I’m in the minority on this….
I read what I thought was everything but I didn’t see this wish list of mine. That Inventory be broken up into events so I can go right to CoC or Halloween, Valentines, etc.. OR NOT have to scroll through them.
There are some pretty great ideas here some are more plausible than others but generally they are all great. The one character id really like to see that wasn’t on the list is Leon Kompowsky aka mental Michael Jackson. They could make a task where him and Bart sing to Lisa and I’d be the happiest tapper ever. Also I’d love to see an update similar to the stonecutters but with the movementarians where we could get a bunch of different skins and collect leader beans as the event currency. I could just have high hopes with that one but it sure would be awesome. Na na na na na na leader!
What about The League Of Extra Horny Gentlemen bldg? I’d pay real money to own that bld in my Springfield!
God id love to be able to build desert in SF – its been in numerous episodes… Also Possibility to beyond with Outlands and Shelbyville would be amazing, but less likely to ever happen.
I think with the simple addition of dirt or sand that matches the base of Satan’s Anvil and Mount Carlmore, adding desert would be really easy. EA could throw in some cactus, sagebrush, boulders & I would have a lot of fun creating a desert area. We already have the wood fence from SP that would look great in a desert.
There was one episode with a couple that lived in an old Air Stream trailer in the desert. That would be a cool addition. Might make a really cool little Summer Event.
I love these ideas and agree with quite a few myself. I personally would love Maggie and another task for Mr Teeny. Having characters interact with all buildings so we can see their animations is a must. Having the Stonecutters update tease us with seeing the animation possibilities/reminders is unfair as we all know what we’re missing now.
I also agree about the snow. We could have a Groundhog and click on him and some of us get 6 more weeks of snow and some of us don’t!
As much fun as I think it would be to have another land to travel to I personally would discourage it. From playing various Facebook games in the past I’ve learned that they add new lands until you’re visiting 13 different lands. doing tasks etc. and spending ridiculous amounts of time and money trying to do everything. In the end I had to throw in the towel as it ruined the fun eventually.
More outdoor tasks in Krustyland. I’ve concluded one of the reasons I don’t spend much time there anymore and don’t send characters on tasks there much anymore (other than what is required for specific quest lines) is that for the most part, with some exceptions, tasks in KL are not outdoor tasks. You can’t enjoy watching them do their thing.
Two things jump out at me
If I’m in krusty land (while visiting neighbors) and I move to the next neighbor I should stay in krusty land unless they don’t have krusty land
I’d love a X days since they last played notice above the neighbor in the neighbors screen -I know I can go into origin friends and find that but just to have it right there to see if I even need to visit or not would be so helpful
The X days notice would be cool I’ve been waiting for events where we see the leader boards to start deleting inactive.
I’d like a second set of arrows in the neighbours visiting. They would be for going through Crustylands instead of Springfields (it would be so helpful to collect the tickets this way). Maybe the arrows could be on top of the existing arrows?
One thing I didn’t see and I hope they add is a building skin for Moe’s. I’d like to see them add Uncle Moe’s Family Feedbag to the building and Uncle Moe as a skin for Moe. I love that episode where Bart sells his soul!
I may of missed it but I would really like a cancle task button, other than storing their building.
I also think a total of all money or donuts spent designing your town would be nice.
Also the ability to select a small cluster of buildings and decorations to move all at one time instead of moving everything individualy would be very helpful.
They will probably do another post for Febuary wish list since they did it last year

OK, I’ll try not to duplicate things from above, but here’s some more things that I would like to see in the game (I’ve mentioned most of these before, so if they seem repetitious to anybody, I apologize):
1) A store that pays out donuts. Non-unique (so multiples would be allowed). One donut every 8 hours or so would be fine, and I realize it would be a premium purchase, but it would still be cool. Visitors would only get cash/XP/FP as normal, but would start the timer going again like on other buildings.
2) Ability to orient vehicles in four directions. Stop signs also. Speaking of stop signs, let’s also add the ability to place them on the sidewalk (like parking meters) instead of making them go in the grass (which affects building placement).
3) The back of some stores — it could be a dummy strip of two or three stores so we have something to place “across the street” from the stores we currently have in the game. When rotated, the appearance would change to give even more variety to the look. These would just be a decoration that costs minimal cash, and would not pay out like regular buildings.
4) For Halloween, anyone with the “abandoned store” would find that it had been turned into a temporary Halloween store. After the Halloween event was over, it would revert to being just the abandoned store again.
5) TSTOaddicts.com sign, unique item, arranged through EA and requires some kind of interaction with this site to obtain. (Currently have the website name spelled out in flowers in my KL, but since most of my in-game friends came from this site, and most people don’t visit KL anyway, it doesn’t do much promoting!)
6) The ability to move anything that looks like it belongs in a parade to KL — big balloons, mascots, elephants, monkeys, floats. Along with this would be the ability to move any castle (including accessories) to KL, and the ability to move any holiday-themed items to KL.
7) The ability to use all decorative items like flowers, trees, fences, shrubs, etc. in either Springfield or KL. I can see some limited uses for the KL fences in Springfield, but more importantly, I’d love to be able to use the wide-open spaces of KL to try my hand at some 2D or 3D art, and having the full collection of items to work with would be awesome.
8) For event and episode-tie-in items to have a purpose (besides $ and XP) after the initial event or episode is complete. Here are some examples of what I mean: The Build-a-Thing workshop had some really awesome Christmas potential, but wasn’t used for the Christmas event at all. In fact, some of the items used in Phase 1 of the Christmas event weren’t even used during Phase 2, even though they easily could have been (e.g. the elf bell could have continued to summon the elves, making them easier to catch and zap).
9) Bender! Originally suggested by multiple others, but I didn’t see it in this list!
Almost forgot these:
10) When I am in edit or design mode, I want the game to select the item closest to my touch first, then move away if that doesn’t seem to be what I am trying to select. It is extremely annoying to have the game start off by selecting an item 1.5″ (abt 5cm) away from my finger when I am trying to adjust something that I just placed a moment before.
11) Also, I don’t want the game to scroll when I am adjusting the position of an item unless I move my finger to the very edge of the screen and hold it there. It is extremely annoying when I am trying to adjust the position of an item by just one or two squares, to have the screen jump and cause the item I was trying to move to go a quarter-mile away!
12) When I touch the Bart and Millhouse icon, I want the game to confirm with me that I want to visit friends, instead of jumping right to the friends screen. It does this when I click on the KL bus, so why not when I accidentally touch the friends icon/button?
13) Once the Krustyland build is complete, I want the ability to send everyone to visit KL. I realize that the game balance for KL is based on the maximum potential tickets that can be obtained by sending the characters there that have been unlocked for KL, but once the build is complete, the balance is no longer an issue and shouldn’t matter.
14) When there are tickets to collect in KL, the ticket icon should appear over the KL bus (neighbors would see this as well). When there are handshakes to clear in KL, the handshake icon should appear over the KL bus. When the balloon-pop game is available in KL, the balloon icon should appear over the KL bus.
A lot are repetitive items and all over in other posts… OR… in the game now. Lol. Didn’t want to make the post of all the same stuff again. 😉

I love…
– The donate to charity ties-in (like Greenpeace, SPCA, Trevor Project, etc.) when we buy something with donuts and a portion of that goes to the organization.
– End all completed tasks option
– Send everyone on a X hour task option
– The secret premium item idea… How about sets of items, i.e. buy all 4 and get an extra bonus. Would work well for event-specific goodies.
– Yes, more options for better transition between tiles, especially from ocean to beach to town and rivers being able to from from the mountains and into the ocean.
In you’re at EA and reading this …
TSTO Addicts – and this specific, detailed and exhaustive compilation – is a great crowdsourcing resource for you.
Like an external creative department, now you just gotta build the code for it.
Maybe even consider some focus groups, especially concerning user and game experience.
Those of us who really enjoy your game, and can afford/ want to spend money for donuts, support your work and are willing to continue.
Engage us and that’s even more money for you.

All this Tapper wants (for now) is a better Game App experience from EA (no more network issues, no more game bugs, no more Gil schills) and more Freemium experiences (seems the more you level up? the less Freemium there is in TSTO)!
Wouldn’t hurt to be able to Quest for Past Prizes (which cost donuts to obtain now) !
Level 50 is coming up, and I’ll bet they’re planning something special. That would be a perfect time to release the monorail. (And maybe a Futurama expansion for level 100.)

There are some really fantastic ideas, especially those that would enable us to further interact with neighbors in positive ways. Having a bank where you could give your neighbors money is genius!
Making Maggie a playable character is recommendation that I reaaaally want to happen! There’s so much potential with her for funny quests…she could lock herself in the Simpsons car, she could feud with Baby Gerald, or just crawl around town. Please EA, give us Maggie! She’s a main character on the show and deserves better than being a task for Marge!

Here’s one I don’t think is on the list (my eyes started to glaze over as I was reading through the whole thing)…the ability to place roads/pavement anywhere that’s open and wide enough to accommodate them (not locked to the current four-space positions). (I don’t know if I communicated this clearly – do you get what I mean and, if so, is there a better way to say it?) Also, narrower paths would be good (maybe if they finally give us dirt, it could be just two squares wide?)
One of the coolest thing about Springfield is that it’s essentially a pedestrian city. We see lots of people out walking or skateboarding or riding bikes. It would be great to be able to make narrow walking paths, maybe with cobblestones. These would be useful in front of houses too.
I have certain shortcuts through the woods that are used often and I don’t know what code was triggered to make them popular. I wish I could move characters around to get them to walk on the beach.

Bobby: This is done in the settings menu in the store. You will notice a very small gear icon in the upper right corner. That allows you to control the “Push Notifications” that often annoy players!

Greg: This is also in the settings menu listed above. Choose the option to enable the question.
Many of what people are asking is different or BETTER options for these items that are currently not in the game. 😉
