Just a quick reminder that today’s the last full day for Issues 1-3 of the Superheros event. Any prizes not earned by 0800 GMT (0400am EST) tomorrow (3/24) will not be earned.
This will be completely different than then start of Issues 2 and 3….previous issues will not carry over. So this means that once issue 4 starts, issues 1-3 and their prizes will be closed off. So be sure to earn those final Freeze Rays (or Carbon Rods/Pie Bombs) before time runs out!
Also, according the the Collector instructions, ALL Crafting/collecting will end tomorrow as well. So make sure you craft those last minute Apartments, Lofts, Store Fronts etc before time runs out!
There are also a couple of items that will leave the store tomorrow…
So if you’re thinking about purchasing the following:
Tar Pits
Fruit Bat Signal
Make sure you do so before tomorrow.
Note: Bartman, Fruit-Bat-Man, Wrecked Brown House & Spider Pig will all be available until Issue 4 ends on March 31st.
So what will happen when Issue 4 hits? Honestly, no one knows for sure. There’s some speculation information in the files but no official information has been released yet. So we’ll have to wait and see what happens….

I really like this event. Its like you get to build a small urban center into Springfield. I might even spend a few donuts for another loft or store front. I love expansion, Westward Hoe!!!
I just noticed that the game music has changed. Or has it?
I thought so too. At the same time the rivers went back to blue?
On mine, I hear the event music still, except when visiting Other Springfield, which has the normal default music. Weird.
Something weird happened for me at the Android’s Dungeon. There’s an extra field when tapping on it showing “Exchange Rares for Prizes” and when I clicked on Go To, it took me to the crafting menu.

I will either barely get or barely miss one more donut bonus before this ends, by my calculations. It’ll be close either way.
Crafted 3 additional apartments, and an additional Loft and Storefront, to use my crafting materials. Will probably make a bunch of phone booths too, just ’cause. I haven’t really made space in my town for the new things, so I need to expand outward a bit, I think I’ll have a secondary downtown on the other side of my “suburbs” and have all the Zenith city stuff there…
Currently have 3 x lofts, 4 x apartments, 1 x store, the city times building and 5 x phone booths. I’ll be able to get 1 more apartment and either a store or loft by the end of today and I can still craft at least 10 more phone booths.
It’s been fun but I’m certainly looking forward to the new challenge of issue 4 🙂
I’m officially done with this event and I’m exhausted! I was able to get all the free prizes and crafted the following:
1 Zenith City Times Building
4 Zenith City Apartments
2 Zenith City Lofts
2 Zenith City Store Fronts
29 Phone Booths
I’ll probably be able to get another phone booth or two before the day is out but that’s it. I don’t know how many Donuts I started out with but I’m a Freemium player so it couldn’t have been that many. I was able to get the Bartman skin and have 100 Donuts to spend right now. I’m ready to pull the trigger on Plopper but I’ll wait until I see what Issue 4 has to offer first.
I will finish the day with 1 Times, 5 Apartments, 3 lofts, 1 Store front and the rediculous lifetime supply of phone booths, that cannot even go to Krustyland. (I wish they were the cool plants that complement my Tribal Huts
from last Halloween). I will get another round of 3 free donuts from FP without having to visit neighbors today. (sorry gang, but I have been there every day all the way and need to reset the clock to my time schedule) I play freemium and bought Ploppers at the start that took me down to 20, but I am well over 100 now… Wow… I look forward to a “What Did You Think of That Event” conversation next week (the good, the bad and the ugly)… Until then, let`t just keep our heads down and look forward to finally healing our fingertips cuts and bruses after next week… And to our Ringmasters here at “Addicts”, a Pina Colada on a sunny, “stick your toes into the soft sand” beach of your choice anywhere in the universe. You deserve that!!!

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but is anyone surprised that the Collider has speech, while many of our favourite characters don’t? I could be wrong, but I don’t remember the collider speaking in any of the shots I have seen him.
Both of his lines come from “Steal this Episode” in which he appears as a laffy meal toy (see wookiee’s WDTCF post on him). Whether or not a character is voiced simply depends on whether or not they are voiced by a member of the principle cast (Dan Castellaneta, Julie Cavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardly Smith, Hank Azaria, and Harry Shearer), and Matt Groening is voiced by himself.

Like everyone else, I’m split over whether to craft with all of the items I got or wait and risk losing it to see if there’s new things in Issue 4. Bleh, I just don’t know… hopefully we get a OFFICIAL statement soon so I don’t have to worry about it…
As far as I know, they’ve never carried over before. What makes you think they’re going to carry over this time?
I know of 5 items which will show up in issue 4. I’ve seen pics of 4 of them. Not sure how they’ll be offered though.
Yea we’ve got the same photos. However, there’s tons of stuff in the files that haven’t made it into the game (Giant Toilet anyone?) so we’ve got to wait and see what EA does…

This is a question for runicgem.
Seeing as you are one of the go-to guys (girls? sry! I don’t know!) when it comes to using decorations creatively (i.e. your classic Towering Prison of Babylon), I was wondering if you attempted stacking the red phone booths for a 3D effect? I have only crafted about 1/2 a dozen, but may deplete my “rare drops” in the event that I can use them in such a way.

@Uncle — the phone booths may have some interesting artistic properties — I’d love to see what Bunny can do with them — but they don’t stack too well. Their footprint is 2×2 but they don’t fill all of this space, so side by side, there is a gap. Personally, though, I used up my leftover supplies on them — who knows how they might come in handy in the future. (Right now, I have a pyramid of phone booths sitting near the Botanical Garden. It won’t be a permanent feature, though, because of those gaps.)

Thanks for the reply! So far I’ve only seen them being used more like fences (or fence posts) around the HQ or other buildings. It’s likely because of the gaps that I have not yet seen anything more cohesive.
Either way, I don’t think I’ll be able yo craft anyting else (for free), so building & storing another ten or twelve red phone booths may be a likely option.
I’ll carry on catching criminals and clearing buildings until I reach my next 6000 Freeze Rays and the free donuts that come with them and then leave it until Issue 4 hits. I won’t get enough handcuffs before the end to craft another Loft or Store Front, so I’ll just wait and see if any of the actions or currency carry over to Issue 4. If they do I’ll be a bit ahead, and if they don’t I won’t have lost out, as I’ll have got all the craftable items that I could before Issue 3 ended.
wtf? Apartments, Lofts, Store Fronts? I haven’t gotten anything of the sort during this event, and Im done with issue 3…..

Click on the collector head in the top right. All those capes, nails, phones, and handcuffs throughout the event are used to craft buildings and decorations.

Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking of saving crafting currency to see if anything new came with issue 4. Phew… I’m glad i checked in with you and won’t waste my currency. BTW, I’m seeing elsewhere that Kane Manor, Radioactive Man and the Rad Mobile will come with issue 4. I can’t confirm that but…

Why don’t you guys ever talk about rumors and stuff like that? It’s like you avoid them at all costs lol You guys should do a spoilers & rumors articles for people who like talking about rumors and what may or may not pop up in the game and seeing the pictures, etc.
Just our policy. We talk about what we’d like to see in the game, but never what’s speculation to be out there. Even if we see the files something’s going to hit. We don’t talk about it until it’s actually in the game and we can see how it comes into play. While there’s a ton of you that like spoilers etc…there’s also a TON of you who like to get mad at us when we post something as a speculation and it doesn’t come true…
So as a policy now we don’t post any spoilers: As we have come to realize after years, this game can change between concept and what is actually released into the game. Due to this, we prefer to wait to release information on ANY content of the game until either it is directly confirmed by EA or live in the game itself. Most of the time, we wait til it goes live. That way we can see how it plays out, how characters are involved, and provide the most accurate and up to date info we can to our players. We ask in return that our readers do NOT post any links to sites not ran by EA that have “spoilers”. Doing so will result in the comment being edited and/or removed.

That’s why I suggested a seperate article for rumors and spoilers. That way those who don’t want to hear/read about it, don’t have to. Just seemed odd to me is all.
It’s more a general policy that we don’t want the rumors/spoilers on the site. Once you associate that “they got it from addicts” it can lead to some angry readers if the info isn’t right. We’d rather be accurate with the game content…

I love the no spoiler policy! I don’t want to know whats coming, I like being surprised! If I wanted to discuss spoiler speculation, there are plenty of other sites to do that at. I love TSTOAddicts just the way it is. Alissa, Bunny and Wookie do an amazing job!
I also appreciate the no-spoilers policy. It’s fun to speculate what’s going to happen based on hints in the game or show, but spoilers are akin to going to a movie and having someone one row away explaining everything that is about to happen and how the movie will end, loud enough for everyone around to hear.
If there were spoiler articles, discussion of them would spill over into other threads, including the open threads, so the disclaimers would not really help avoid them.

When this event hit, I was curious and googled it… Thought I got another version of TSTO Addicts, but got huge spoilers with pics of issue 4 items, and details. It kinda ruined it for me. So, after I saw it, I forced myself to forget. And kinda did.. I’d rather be surprised.
Part of the fun, for me anyway, is the wondering, the speculation we engage in on this site and the woo-hoo! or do! for stuff I’d like or don’t care for, when the updates hit.
No spoilers!
Besides, other sites just throw it all out there, so if one really wants to see them, they can always go to those.

I have everything. My wife got way behind. She just got Death Mountain this morning. I am trying to play her game and get her as close as I can. Not sure it is possible at this point. Hopefully some over time will slip in to this event like some of the other ones.
Consider hurrying the HQ production. 2 donuts = lots of rays and caps. If you have donuts to spend that it… I’m pretty sire it’s cheaper than buying it right out from the main event menu.

I was able to get 5 apartments, 2 lofts, and 2 store fronts after getting the times.
I hate that I just now figured out what I was doing wrong to get the 3 donuts during the bonus round. After issue 3 I got it and now get 3 each time. I hit tons of bonus rounds with issue 2 and had to spend cash when I’d get just one donut.
I’ve earned 100 donuts since this event began. It could have been so much more. :-p

Lucky you! I never manage to figure out how to get three …
I think you can get up to six each time. The trick is to not hit the 3 donut bonus the first time. If you get the 1 or 2 donut bonuses, you get the option to pay and “scratch off” another square as it were. Once you find the 3 donut one, you can’t get anymore, but if you find the other two first you can get a total of 6 donuts for each bonus. It’s expensive and there’s still an element of chance to it.
100 donuts?! May I ask how? You got several thousand donuts 33 times?
Howdy neighbor! I think they mean a combination of things: 1) they maxed out items needed in each part, and started collecting donuts right away 2) they maxed out FP as soon as possible and started earning donuts that way 3) they maxed out level 50 and started earning donuts that way. Personally I didn’t get so many, but I’m up 51 donuts from when the event started, by doing the things above (including 5 donuts from Sideshow You).
I tried Bun Bun’s trick but i cannot get it so i just fork up the cash until i do lol
Bunny’s trick worked for me at about 1/2 of the time I tried actually using it. I blame the times i didn’t get 3 with the 1st try due to impatience or just plain bad luck. In those cases, I also paid for retries, like runicgem. I may have literally spent a million dollars in in-game cash, completing the Super Bonuses. As a result, I easily won at least 100 doughnuts in total during this event though reaching the SB quotas alone.
As for JAMP’s claim. I didn’t think the doughnut boxes were cumulative. If the 1st box you cleared was 1, paid for a retry, and scratched a box with 3 doughnuts, you win just THAT prize: 3 doughnuts, not a total of 4 doughnuts.
I should recheck the TSTOADDICTS post on that, as well as, check my next try. If what you think is the case, spending 300k for 6 doughnuts is not a terrible option.
I just reached another Super Bonus, since my last reply, and did need more than one try to get the top prize.
The result? (Only) 3 doughnuts was added to my total.
As of last night I had 4 apartments, 2 storefronts, 1 loft, and the times. I had 10 handcuffs and got tap happy and clicked storefront instead of loft. I was so mad! I wanted an even amount! I also have 27 phone booths. Overall issues 1-3 were a success on my end!
I am just hoping we actually get Radioactive man. I hope that Bartmans 4 hour task becomes “do the Bartman” and yes.. I am ready for #1-3 to be over. This has been a great event but I have this overwhelming feeling that all the items we worked so hard for will eventually end up available during a “yard sale”
I think a major drawback (or great business move) on EA’s part is making too many coveted items available again later on. I think that no more then 1 item from long events like this should be available at a premium later on as to make sure they have this trophy/veteran status to older players. Its cool to go in to friends towns and see stuff you never had the opportunity to buy/earn. It makes you work even harder during events like this.
It looks like I am not going to make it on the collider. I just started TSTO right before issue 3 went live, so I’m pretty happy to have made it as close as I did. Looking forward to issue 4 and probably radioactive mans return.

It’ll be tight. Make sure you get into your game every couple of hours to clear everything
Make sure auto-update is turned off — you might be able to get a few extra hours before the update becomes a forced update. This has worked for me in past events, but there is no guarantee it will work here.
I havent finished issue 1-3. When they remove will I be able to do issue 4?
Yes, it looks like Issue 4 will be independent of the other 3.
I have built a mini Zenith City with 2 of each of the craftable buildings plus the news paper, the Superior Squad HQ, Death Mountain and the Rad Station floating over head. I even have room for whatever issue 4 brings.
What about friends springfields. My visit time opens up around 6 PM ESt, so that gives me 12 hours until then, and about 9 hours until the episode 4. should I just wait to visit right when issue 4 starts?, or will it reset? Last time I visited my friends SF’s about 4 hours before and then I had to wait a whole 19 hours after the episode start to visit again. Thanks,
If you need the Freeze Rays, visit. if not you can hold off
I’d take a look at your friends’ freeze ray count — if they are close to 61,500 you should probably visit to help them, if you can. Also, make sure you keep some buildings cleared so they can visit if they need to.
I crafted a last few phone boxes earlier so I’m done with it…..so I might let the last few felons live ! 🕥
This has been a great event! I’m really hoping for Radioactive Man so I can’t wait to see what the final week will be like.

Yes. If you tap on the ? next to the Materials in the Crafting area, you will see the countdown that its going. Right now all of Issue 4 says ???? So up to you to risk IF anything carries over. All we see on our end is over and over and over ENDS 24TH.
Question, if I keep felons in my town on their last heart, will I still be able to defeat them and have it contribute to a new currency?
Everything ends for Issues 1-3 on the 24th. Issue 4 will be a surprise. If you want to risk it… your choice.
so there’s no indication we should save up calls on houses if we’ve got everything from issue 3?
Not at this time. It looks as though everything will leave and restart with Issue 4.
