Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Here we are in the final few hours of Terwilliger Act 2…are you ready for Act 3 to start up?!
I know many of you are stressing out about not earning enough items to craft those coveted items or not finishing the Act 2 questline or not getting enough gas masks to unlock all of the prizes…but don’t sweat it! Really. It’s going to be ok.
Let’s break down what’s leaving, what’s staying and what’s cha- cha- cha-changing, when Act 3 kicks off!
Note: Act 3 Offically Starts at 0800 GMT (4am EDT) on 5/12…
So, here’s what we know…
For a complete rundown on Act 3 prep check out this post from last week.
What’s Leaving…
The good news is…nothing is leaving. You’ll still have plenty of chances to pick up those items you want!
What’s Staying…as is
The Farming License- 90 Donuts…although if you didn’t already get it, I don’t recommend buying it now.
It’s A Wonderful Knife & Gino- 150 donuts. This pair is sticking around until the Terwilliger Event leaves Springfield…
Francesca and the Italian Villa- 150 Donuts.
And all of the rake and mutant seed purchase options.
ALL of the items you can craft!
Yes, that’s right ALL of the Act 1 AND Act 2 Craftable items will still be in the craft menu when Act 3 hits…so there’s NO RUSH to get anything. For a complete crafting guide for Act 1 check out this post…and for act 2 check out this post
Corn, DNA and Fertilizer
DNA, Corn and Fertilizer will be used and needed during Act 3. So whatever amounts you have will carry over into Act 3. (however Fertilizer won’t be needed as much as Corn and DNA) So keep collecting!

Mutant Seedlings- Yes…these lovable blobs will be sticking around for Act 3. So you can hang onto them if you want to get a head start on the new prize currency when Act 3 starts. Once Act 3 starts they’ll act the same as they did during Act 3 only now they’ll drop the Act 3 prize currency (instead of Spades) along with some craftable currency.
What’s Staying….but Changing
Act 2 Prizes
Once Act 2 is over the prizes you haven’t yet won will remain….BUT they’ll be moved to become craftable items. Which means you’ll need Fertilizer, DNA and Corn to craft them once Act 2 is over…
What’s Going…
Once Act 2 is over Gas Masks will no longer be a currency in the event and they will be replaced by something else…and no, your Gas Mask count will not carry over. You’ll start all over again in earning the new currency from 0.
Strategy
A lot of you are asking me what’s the best strategy for going into Act 3…and really that’s a personal choice. It depends on how you play and where you are in the event.
In otherwords…I cannot tell you what to do or don’t do. I can only tell you what I would/wouldn’t do.
I’ve outlined some of my recommendations (and how I’m playing) in our Act 3 Prep post, which can be found here.
Personally, I’ve been some saving my Mutant Seeds for Act 3 to start. This will give me a head start on earning the new prize currency, as well as help my neighbors get a head start as well. But to each his own…what works for me may not work for you.
Again…that’s what I did (and why I did it). What you want to do is up to you. You’ve got to do what makes sense to you…
Neighbor Visits
Remember it takes 24hrs for the timers to reset, so if you’ve visited your neighbors already today you won’t be able to go into their towns right when Act 3 hits, you’ll need to wait the full 24hrs to start visits again.
What We Know/Speculate….
-New items will be added to craft (in addition to the old ones).
-New Act 3 Prizes will be added (Act 2 prizes move to craftables).
– Cecil’s Daily Tasks will continue into Act 3
-A new crafting currency will be added…in addition to DNA, Corn and Fertilizer
-More of the Terwilliger family will be unlocked as the event continues
Questline
The requirement to move onto Act 3 is completing the Act 2 questline (this means unlocking Sideshow Bob. I know some of you are stuck because you have no yet unlocked Mrs. K or Mayor Quimby. The Act 2 questline WILL remain in place for you once Act 3 starts…so don’t stress about it just yet.
What will happen is the same as what happened during Act 1 into Act 2. Some items will disappear (like the Act 2 prizes) and be replaced by new items (Act 3 prizes) BUT some other things may not yet appear for you until you complete that questline. So be patient when the new Act hits. If you haven’t yet completed the Act 2 questline (ie unlocked Sideshow Bob) that could be why you’re not seeing everything…so just be patient and continue to work to complete it.
So there you have it my friends…just some quick basics on what to do to get ready for Act 3 starting up in the morning. And, hopefully, a reassurance guide that there’s no need to panic! Remember…the most important advice we can give you…Don’t Spend Donuts to Craft Items, Rush Tasks or Get Prizes. This event is meant to be long and tedious. Everything can be achieved without spending donuts, as long as you put the time it. It may take you a while to get there, but you can and will get there. So don’t spend donuts to rush it…then you’ll just be bored.
Remember Act 2 Ends and Act 3 Starts at 0800 GMT (4am EDT) on 5/12/15..
What are your thoughts on Act 2 ending and Act 3 starting? Any other questions you might have about it? (remember no spoilers) Have you earned all the Act 2 prizes? Which items have you crafted? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

6am gmt, havet played since 10pm last night going to wait till act 3 hits and get a head start, hope it pays of as am normally tapping away at this time
Why did the game cheat me out my money I was 50 thousand away from getting the pancake house came back to the game this evening an I went from 600 thousand to 393 thousand this is not the 1st time this had happened if it happens again I’m onto another game this glitch is not Cool 🙁 🙁 Not Cool 🙁
A little advice please. I’m short on Cecil’s tasks today. If I let it go unfinished, will I still have to do it tomorrow or will it reset with act 3?
It’ll clear the first one for tomorrow (well today now).
C’mon tell us..what’s the new currency? (Please)

Are you guys clearing you Bob clones or letting them add up? I can’t, for the life of me remember if they disappeared once Act Three starts.
Clearing because I’m trying to rack up as much DNA/corn/seeds as possible before Act 3 starts.
I cleared mine only because I wanted my last set of bonus donuts. My town wasn’t nearly as full as it should have been. Hopefully the drop rate on the new “invaders” will be a lot better!
Damn, I was getting close to achieving all the act 2 prizes, but a few days with no internet connection screwed me over, haha.
Well, hopefully act 3 will be different…
Safe them!!! I did ask this already and did get the answere save them you get new music noten.
Anyone else not able to login to thier town?
My apologies if I am beating a dead horse, but I just want to make sure that I am understanding you correctly. I am a little under 3000 gas masks away from getting Dr. Robert. A couple of days ago, one of you suggested that I get as many gas masks as I could before the deadline and then use donuts to complete the Dr. because once he is craftable, he will require a lot of items. But, today I think you are saying do not use donuts to speed him (or any of the tasks) up.
Can you please clarify for me? And, thanks again for everything!
If you’re close and the donut amount is reasonable…use donuts to get the prizes. Do NOT use donuts for craftables. But if you’re close and the donut price is reasonable I’d use donuts to get Dr. Robert.
Thanks!
The act 3 prizes are awesome ☺
Hmmm, is it worth getting up at 3am CST to try to squeeze one more set of bonus doughnuts??
Or better to sleep the extra hour ( I get up at 4:15 anyway) and roll up the new currency?
I’m about 600 masks away from the Super Bonus, and my current random materials-earning task will not finish until after the deadline. As a freemium player, however, I may still try to get another set of 3 doughnuts.
Dreaming Big!
While I like that the event quest line is using characters other than the simpsons for once, I can’t help but feel that without a different character to use if you’re low level might actually be a deterrent to new players to continue playing. It seems weird that there’s no alternative trigger for those people who aren’t high enough for Mrs K.
I’m not even going to try to get anything except the boat. The rest is worthless clutter. Only 14 more days then back to normal and I can do level 52
Wait is fertilizer going to be used in act 3? I have over 10k worth, should I use it now to craft items like the cane field… Or will there be new currencies that will replace the fertilizer?
It’ll be there in Act 3…
Couple hundred away from sprinkles and im going to stay up all night until I hit 3000. Or at least try lol
Concerning the Monarno Library, i have it in my town but i see an exclamation point highlighted when i am in the crafting menu! The point is only for the library! Any ideas why?
It means you have enough stuff to craft it
You are able to craft a SECOND one now. You don’t have to to that.
Went through both acts without really wanting the Springfield Farmer’s Market or the Gas & Grub but now I really want at least one of them! I didn’t think it was worth it but with Mr. Burns shoveling my game cash in this mountain, I’m gonna need some more buildings and moolah! Gonna push real hard now!
Just to double-check (not that there’s anything I can do about it at this point)…I can still work on Dr. Terwilliger’s questline after Act 3 starts, right? I’m only partway into it, because I’ve mostly been prioritizing currency-earning tasks over tying up characters for that questline.
Yup.
Phew – thanks!
Still have not crafted anything (mostly;y because there isn’t much that moves me)
Saving up for Act III
Depending on your timezone; you will want to have Lisa ready to activate the first task. Don’t go putting her on a long task because she is one of the character you can’t store to break out of any task. Same with other characters where you can help it. Time it so they’ll mostly be available when you’re ready to start Act 3. New tasks. New currency etc.
You will also want to have 25 clones ready to tap, so depending on how close you might be to finishing or getting a donut bonus, make your choice of how to play it. This is about 4 hours worth of no tapping for a clone. Save the maximum 40 to get more of the “new” currency when you start Act 3.
For anyone like me who also crafted the Farmers Market and G&G, don’t click on the final tick to finish the build (24hr build for each) until Act 3 is fully active. You’ll earn the new currency by completing the new buildings.
Best of luck with Act 3.
I am about 2k DNA from getting the gas station…. :/ I wish could have hit it before tonight. Hope this new act won’t put me to far behind like I was with the market
I’m about 2k DNA away from Gas and Grub, too. It seemed to take forever to get the farmers market (in the middle of act 2!), but I finally did it. I’ve only upgraded Monsarno to Level 16 – wondering if I should work on more fertilizer to upgrade Monsarno or keep grinding at both DNA & fertiziler?
At this point upgrading might not really be a benefit to you. I’d work on getting more Fertilizer.
I’m in the same position, it seems many tappers are. I’m about 2k off the GnG, and have Monsarno upgraded to level 16, and I’m stopping there.
Looking at other comments (such as Tapebelt, and we’re close-ish on my leaderboard), what about the zapper, I’ve upgraded it to level 6, unsure to continue it further… I can easily afford the upgrades (~8000 Corn, ~6000 DNA) but at the compromise of time for GnG…
I already got my alarm set for 4am. Can’t wait! Thankfully I got the farmers market and gas and grub and even got a few donut bonuses. So I’m hoping that I can at least get the major items from act 3 too!!
Now if you will excuse me I need to go buy a lot of coffee so I can stay awake for the next 12 days or so!!!
lol you and me both…I guess I’ll see you at 4 😉
You guys are so dedicated!
Upgrade upgrade upgrade, that has been the name of the game. I used all of my craftable items I gained in act 1 to upgrade monsarno. Even though I was only a couple of thousand short of the farmers market. Long term foregoing that to bulk up monsarno and then the herbicide sprayer has made it so I now have the farmers market, the smoke house and the gas and gulp. Plus 1200 DNA 13000 fertilizer and over 10000 corn going into act 3.
Wow. What levels do you have for your Monsarno and herbicide?
Verse12- did you continue upgrading past the recommended level? Just curious. I finished upgrading to it 2 days into act 2, and I still feel like I’m behind. (Was doing GREAT until the spawn rate dropped, but then had to change my entire strategy once it did. Not cool of EA to change the “rules” in the middle of the game.)
Alissa, Bunny- that’s why you haven’t seen me around lately. Getting every single glitch, EA changing course mid-stream… Just super frustrated and disgusted at this point, & I figure you guys deal with enough negativity. 😉 Hugs to your exhausted selves!! I’ll try to perk up again in Act 3. And if not, at least there’s light at the end of the tunnel once it hits. 🙂
I’m ready for Act III. I completed the Act II quest lines some times ago (over a week). I’ve crafted at least one of everything (including one flower wall, would like more, but waiting to see A3’s new stuff). I’m skipping today’s Friend visit. I just got my last Breathing Deeper bonus donuts (4th bonus in A2) about an hour ago, so those gas masks have done their job. I’ve saved up over 10k each of Fertilizer and Corn, and even have a surplus of about 2k DNA.
Yup, I’m ready of Act III. Conveniently, tomorrow is my day off, so I’ll be staying up to 1am (I’m in California) to start in right away. Woot!
Question, please:
My gf’s game has a questline going where Ralph interacts with the Happy Sumo. I haven’t seen this pop-up in my game (I do have both Ralph and the HS, too). Any thoughts/suggestions on why it’s not triggering in my game, or how to get it to trigger?
It’s part of Level 52…
http://tstoaddicts.com/2015/05/06/turbo-tappin-level-51-lunch-lady-dora-doris/
Ah! That’s it, then. I haven’t finished D’s quest. Thanks. 🙂
So thankful that I got the Farmer’s Market out of the way yesterday! Took about a month to finally get that much fertilizer, and with it out of the way I can focus on the new crafting currency.
Did anyone else’s Dr. Robert questline stop triggering in the middle of it? It stopped halfway through foe me…
I have enough DNA and Corn, but… I must not craft Gas and Grub, I must not craft Gas and Grub, I must not craft Gas and Grub… until Act3 begins so that the reward will be in the new currency! I made that mistake taking advice to craft the Farmers Market if close to the end of Act 1, and i was awarded 100 useless Act1 currency :/
Smarty pants! XD I probably should have done that with the Farmer’s Market… oh well. I can’t (and wouldn’t) return it now lol
100 in event currency is not that big a deal… you can make up 90 of it tapping on 30 neighbors. and it wasn’t useless if you were within range of another set of bonus donuts.
I only go/went for the main prizes, all the other stuff is just….. stuff.
Hello all. Just wandering if I should upgrade l
To level 16 in the monsarno research building. Or hold tight
Depends on how much you’re earning right now. It’s really a personal decision…based on what you have, characters you have and how often you play. My advice has always been go to level 19. But if you don’t think the additional payouts will help you much i wouldn’t worry about it.
Ah ill be at work when it starts – gonna have to take five to see whats what lol
That’s for the tips, please can you tell me how do I unlock mrs k in the twerlinger family? Thanks xx
Mrs. K isn’t part of the terwilliger family. Mrs. K = Mrs. Krabappel..
Thank you for the reminder to not go to my neighbors tonight. I was about to do it in a couple of hours and now I’ll wait. You guys are the best!
