Have Fun! And happy Sunday!

Running Out The Clock Pt. 1 is crazy. Craft 10 items. It’s a little late for that. I have crafted everything but The Monsanaro Wall, Cactus Patch and the Welcome Home Bob Sign. If they get crafted fine if not fine. This should have been at the beginning. Building Toward The Sky will get ignored too. My Monsanaro Center is Level 22, and my level 7… and I am not doing anymore with it. I am so over this event.
Yeah, it would have been nicer if we’d had Running Out the Clock at the beginning.
I actually think I may get 10 items crafted. I did four cane fields and a cactus patch today since I have the other stuff. Most likely will get more cactus patches since, like Lays Potato Chips, you can’t just have one.
Hello board! First time commenter here, so please bear with me.
I started playing about a month and a half ago. Monsarno was sort of new, but not new new. Anyway, I can’t upgrade Monsarno past Level 7. It tells me to wait until Act 2. By poking around this site, it looks like everyone else is in Act 3 and in fact I’ve unlocked opera Krusty and am accumulating music notes. Can someone please explain this? How do I move on?
Thanks!
To start Act 2 you’ve got to complete the Act 1 questline. So you’ll just need to finish the questline out…here’s the walkthrough for Act 1

For those who are still churning away like mad, you might find this file that someone over on the EA message board posted (apologies…I can’t find the original thread there with the poster’s name, so I apologize about not giving proper credit).
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/trmYlXFnE1-lfddWWb92T4w/htmlview
It lists all of the characters, the groups they’re in, what they can earn, and which buildings they come with (in case you need to release them), all on one chart!
Breathing easier now!
I have finished crafting the things I wanted the most – farmer’s market, Gas and Grub, houseboat, smokehouse, and two stands of cane (which completes the design of my Simpson’s farm, at least for now). Would actually like to get a second farmer’s market and maybe a couple of flower walls, but we’ll see. Choosing fertilizer and DNA tasks over corn and, especially, mask tasks (even went in and “liberated” a bunch of characters who were in the middle of earning marks when I managed to craft the houseboat, and turned them around to earning fertilizer or DNA!). Did since 1-hour “Work the Land” tasks today for the first time in a while, but I’m not going to kill myself to earn materials any longer. And, since I’ll have DJU by tomorrow and I don’t need any more masks, I’m definitely not going to kill myself to get all four of Cecil’s daily tasks!
Ahhh – freedom! I’m starting to pick up some of the ancillary questlines now, like the one for Dr. Fertilizer and the one that leads to the Gutenberg 3000. Feelin’ fine! 🙂
With all of this event stuff going on, I forgot to post some exciting non-event news here… This weekend, I became an aunt for the very first time! 😀
Very cool! 🙂
congrats! i’m a father of two, but i’ve yet to play the role of cool uncle that my lil bro seems to enjoy so much. i keep telling him it’s finally my turn, but he won’t take the hint…
Congratulations Sandrashill! Health and happiness to you and your fam!
Thanks! 🙂
Congrats on the aunty-ship 😉
Now I have GnG and Farmers Market. Now I’m trying to figure out what I really want next. I kind of want to upgrade the opera house just for the ticket booth and opera seats. I kind of want the smokehouse too. I won’t dare dream of the houseboat.
Should I complete “Building toward the Sky” quest and “Running toward the clock” They are both requiring leveling up the buildings but i have not crafted the boat or decoy as of yet. Im thinking of not doing them at least till ive gotten those two said items.
Nope, ignore them.
Yep, i was just coming here to ask this question. Thanks so much for asking and answering.
thanks, I was just about to ask these questions.
I’m at Opera Level 10 and Monsarno Level 20, but haven’t really crafted much (just the Farmers Market and Gas N’ Grub).
Ive crafted the farmers market, gas n grub, smoke house, and two cane fields. My buildings are at the same level as yours. DNA is hard to acquire. Rt now i should have boat tomorrow and hopefully decoy before event ends.
And one more thing since everybody is complaining about the event. I am really-really satisfied with it!! (But I’ve had kinda liked the wheel of fortunes too, so I guess I am not normal..lol)
I think Ea was like bored with that always in every events there are ppl who were complaining about finishing it early & getting to be bored, and they were like, huh mofos, now you won’t get bored…
And I am not. I am freemium, playing since 2012 valentin’s, and I think by the end of the event I will able to craft everything I want. (I don’t know what those do wrong who’s telling that their buildings are high lvl and logging in every two hours even so they can’t craft a thing..
Maybe is up somewhere, but what happens, when I complete the Running out of clock and Building toward the sky quests? 100-100 music notes?
Thanks 🙂
100 Music notes.
How can we earn more DNA? I need more!
The job payout is so low
You can try increasing your Herbicide Sprayer…but that requires more DNA. Really there’s no perfect way to earn it fast. Just send your character as often as you can, complete cecil’s daily tasks, squish mutant blobs, spread mutant seeds & tap bob clones. That’s really it.
Having just built my Homer decoy and my 6th cane field I’ve pretty much crafted everything I want with a full 7days to spare (boat, farmers market, sani-john, GnG).
I guess I’ll try and get a few more cane fields, maybe 2 more sets of opera seats and probably a 2nd gas and grub, but more likely is that I’ll relax a bit – I’ve been pretty intense on this event for 5 solid weeks and am beginning to feel it! 😉
i’m right there with you in all regards neighboreeno! built that homer decoy earlier today, as well as my second farmers market and 4 patches of cane field. i’ve also crafted the houseboat, a port-a-smokey, and a gas and grub. i’ve refocused grinding from masks to dna and ferti, as i need about 2.3k more dna for second gas and grub (to go with my other zenith storefront!) and more ferti for either another port-a-smokey, more cane field, or maybe even a cactus patch or two to use as a desert feature in the landscape of some residential property. don’t care at all about the welcome bob sign, and i’m resigned to waiting for a re-release event (like stonecutters had recently) to stock up on flower walls by the hundreds, as there is no way to get enough dna for more than a few walls before the event is over.
just for reference, i currently have 70 of 104 characters that have earning tasks for this event. dame judith underdunk would make 71, but i haven’t unlocked her quite yet. i also haven’t used brandine at all for this event, as she is busy birthing a spuckler, and i just unlocked uter with the hungry hun a couple days ago, so really i’ve been utilizing 68/104 possible characters for this event. and yes, i’ve been grinding pretty hard for most of it.
Agree completely re the Welcome Bob sign and the walls.
I’ve no idea how many characters I’ve got, and can’t be bothered counting (even though I’ve got a spreadsheet with the info easily available!), but it’s quite a few less than you, I’m sure.
I’m only after ferti and masks now, somehow I’ve got DNA and corn to spare – that’s the only reason I’ll be building a 2nd GnG!
Thanks to working my socks off during Acts 1&2 I’m also only 9 donuts short of what I started the event with and I bought Krupt and, very stupidly, half a dozen mystery boxes. (Any advice on what to do with a 7th Lard Lad?)
Lol – I’ll trade you one of my four extra minnow ponds (ones that are in addition to the three I have placed in my Springfield) for one of your Lard Lads! 😉
OK, I caved in and counted. By my reckoning I have 74/96 earning. OK, I have Brandine available and I’m counting Dame Judith (who I just unlocked), but how come I have less characters and yet more who can get crafting stuff? Strange.
@swiss
here, i made this list for my own reference last night, glad i didn’t go ahead and delete it yet!
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sP_BKAnLjRBuAG3RxU-meMCWaAOBH9rb_jl7koTKba0/edit?usp=sharing
unless i had one too many beers last night, i believe i recorded all the possible characters that have tasks in this event (NOT all characters total in this game).
Ha ha ha Sandra. That’s a rubbish trade! I’ve got 10 minnow ponds sitting in storage already!
@tapebelt
Ah, I see. I misunderstood, I thought you were talking about the total number of characters you have, not the total number that can do tasks.
I’m still surprised I have more characters than you that can do tasks, I only started playing in Oct ’14 and had assumed you had been playing longer.
And Sandra, a quick count says I’ve got 13 minnow ponds dotted around my town! That’s just the visible ones, I know I’ve hidden a few too. 🙂
Wow! Well, your town is considerably bigger than mine, but still…. Maybe I just need rho be more creative about using them?
🙁
Awwwww – what’s the matter, Matt? ((hug))
Sooooo far behind, working too much, my addiction is suffering ;p
Does anyone know if there are any character tasks associated with the Gas and Grub? I might consider crafting another one if there are any tasks there.
Nope no tasks.
What’s the deal with krusty land, it seems like a long time since anything was added to it. Anyone have ideas?
Disneyland came along and took all their customers. 😉
We aren’t sure honestly. They tried to revive it with Princess Penelope, but that didn’t last. It’s a shame.
I’m finally only about 5000 music notes away from getting Dame Judith Underdunk with plenty of time to spare! Best shape I’ve been in since starting this phase! Also getting close to FINALLY crafting the gas and grub and also pretty close to the smokehouse, which I didn’t want at first but I think it would look good at the slaughter house! Loving this update to the max! Wishing I had the donuts to complete The Terwilligers though, but oh well!
does anyone know if you can place boats in the water without having the squidport? my buddy is wanting the Simpson’s houseboat but doesn’t want to grind for it if he has to build squidport to place it. he doesn’t want to ever build squidport in his town. I don’t really care about the boat…does it do anything? I am trying to get more desert cactus patches… more theatre seats might be nice too…
You need water open for it. It should work, but if not you can store it until it opens up
Might be a noob-ish question, but “lake” water doesn’t count right? Has to go in the ocean type area?
Yup, has to be the ocean. Although I often wish we could place boats in the lakes…
Squidport is required at some point to progress in the game.http://tstoaddicts.com/walkthroughs/tapped-out-expansion-walkthroughs/
I hope this wasn’t asked yet…..will you be posting a Turbo Tapping Opera Krusty? Also, is his tasks for a limited time or can I put off doing them until after this event?
Yup, sorry I’m just a bit behind, very busy last few days
I am sure “busy” is a understatement for you. 😉
Between working a full day and getting sleep I’ve made an honest attempt with this event when I have free time. That being said I havent been able to craft anything and I doubt I will. The events when this game first came out were a lot more player friendly. I feel like now its designed to get us to spend.
or play more….
So was going through my neighbours towns and came across three eyes sushi. Any idea if it will be made available again in future? Boy is it a cool building that
It as an episode tie in, haven’t seen it back yet.
unless it was an insane 300 donuts or something like that, i would more than likely spend whatever donuts they require for it. bring it back ea!
I can’t save up enough to craft ANYTHING. I decided to stop leveling up my buildings to see if I can save up before time runs out because I do want a few of the craftable items. It still seems like everything is going to be out of reach though. This event kind of is a pain, interesting, but a pain.
Although I still have most of the Level 52 questline and all of Bumblebee Man’s questline to do over this event is over, I’m considering taking a 24-hour complete blackout/hiatus from the game (except for one quick check-in to keep my daily bonus thing going uninterrupted towards the next Mystery Box) AND this site, to give me a chance to remember what real life is actually like 😉
Anyone interested in joining me? Addicts – I certainly think you guys deserve a whole day off!!
I try… it never works. Always something to do. Someone to help. 😉
Trying to do that since I started …it doesn’t work. Game off or no access still think about it!
I did almost a whole week free of TSTO once. I was on road trip and did not have internet access. Then I realized that “Clean Sprawlmart” offers free wi-fi…
Streak broken.
I try for at least one day a week. ..
So I’m seeing little tents in my neighbors towns, one says t-shirts and the other is yellow but I can’t tell what it says. All I know is I’ve never seen them and they’re not in my store. Did I miss something? Is there something I need to do to trigger the unlock?
Items from Whacking Day 2013. Limited time items from that Event.
I laugh and cringe when I go to purchase something either with cash or donuts and I hear Homer say “Years from now you’ll be so glad you bought that”. I always stop and think twice before I confirm my purchase!! Ugh! Twice today he’s told me that! Oh Homer, why??
Just a curiosity – how often does everyone else disconnect when they visit friends? I hadn’t played with friends until this recent event, I find that I nearly always disconnect when trying to visit a level 51 or 52 friend and every now and then for low level friends.
It may be something in that Neighbors Town that is causing the crash. For instance if they have TOO much going on in your town. It not only slows their town down, but when others like you try to visit it will kick you out as your device can’t handle all the extra coding they have in their town.
Daily. and I can tell you whose towns I get booted from, mostly the Premium towns that are complete (have all buildings and characters) because when you enter the town all of the characters release from the two event buildings. . . . and that appears to freeze up my game and log me out. Best early AM or super late PM, because some of us send the characters with only 2 hr tasks off to do their normal stuff at night
As of this morning I’ve crafted the Homer decoy, the Simpsons houseboat, the “Welcome to Springfield” sign, the farmers market, the Gas ‘N’ Gulp, the sani-john smokehouse and six cane fields. Going to focus purely on cactus patches for the remainder of the event. As much as I’d like the Monsarno flower walls to surround my Monsarno complex, there’s no way to create anywhere near enough to make it look good… so I hope they offer them again sometime in the future for in-game currency (though not donuts).
On a sidenote, after placing the houseboat, I was very disappointed to find out that the rakes can’t be placed on the Squidport… EA really missed out on creating a classic Simpsons moment there.
Any idea whether EA will allow us to make more Boardwalk sections? For months it’s been telling me I’ve crafted the max allowed but we have ‘more’ sea since EA allowed us a little more space… How do we nudge them to increase this?
Also meant to add that this site is brilliant. Thanks for all the info & suggestions you provide – not sure how you find the time to work, play TSTO, see family AND keep the rest of us up-to-date!
Thank you.
I can’t wait for this event to be over. It feels like there’s way too much invest of time make a lot of progress with crafting. Going from the super hero’s event to this event has been a big let down for me. Anyone else looking forward to this event ending?
I know I am, the superhero event was fun imho, this event feels more like work. Especially the 20 hour daily tasks from Cecil.
I agree. This event feels more like work than fun as I feel like I will have trouble crafting everything I want after a month of work, i.e. tapping in often at least once an hour and sleeping for no more than 4-5 hours continuously. I am at lvl 52, so not short of characters. At least I will reach lvl 10 on the mountain in 6 hours. (Didn’t feel Burns’s crafting contribution was vital.) Three days more to go until ‘Tarzan’! And I have got 167 free donuts since Easter so I did get Francesca. (I agree her palace is a mite small alongside Springfield mansions. Looks ok by itself. And I like her, an attractive woman I do not have to feel embarrassed showing others. With a goat. So I have gotten things I wanted, just took a lot of work to do so. And I am not trying to boast (I am only 16 on the neighbour’s chart, so quite a few are doing a better job than me in just 100 people.), just trying to give others a benchmark of what is possible.
I’m using my Italian Villa as the entrance to my opera house, the colors are a little off but I tied it in together with the fencing. I’m happy with it.
yes! I cannot get enuff stuff to craft really anything. i want the farmers market and gas and grub but cant get them!
Yes! I’m so over it and so upset I haven’t come close to crafting the items, I only have farmers market and gas and grub. No way I’ll get the houseboat in the 7 remaining days and I’m extremely dedicated! Visit all neighbors, high levels on buildings, and playing at least every 2hours! Major disappointment!
Me, yes and no. I’m kind of bummed that I don’t think I’ll be able to complete the event as I’m stuck at Act 2. My game restarted when I changed devices around Easter. Alas, didn’t know about this site, so spent money early on on land and the squidport instead of getting key buildings which were kind of expensive at the time. So part of me wants to end the suffering and just get it over with and the other part wants more time (just a week or so lol. I’m currently getting bribes to get Quimby though I’m level 23)
It’s a huge time drain and I will be relieved when it’s over but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t really happy with my Monsarno campus, opera house, Simpson farm, Gas and Grub-finally hit the Farmer’s Market on Saturday and will have the house boat and Dame Underdunk in the next couple days. That’s all my must haves. The smoke house, more cane fields and the billboard will just be gravy. That being said, my daughter is in the same boat as so many other players without a lot of premium characters, can’t check in as much etc. I’ll grind away as much as I can for her until the end of the event but her top 2 wish items the Farmers Market and the mutant plant (that she just barely missed making) combined require a staggering 42,000 fertilizers! I doubt I can even come close to that. I feel your frustration.
I really need the downtime to catch up on everything, just started my town prior the superhero event and I’m already level 50 / 51 exp. The lack of downtime has created a HUGE quest backlog for me to clear.
At this time, and this is no joke, I have 45 quests in my log. Most of it’s character introductions and storylines, just haven’t haven’t been willing to commit the time to clear them during events. Hopefully there’ll be a break before the next event so I can blast through a lot of it.
Ive tried looking back through the posts, but can someone please tell me if I can hold off the quests “The clowned of music” “Print is dead” and “Dora the Endorser” until AFTER this event? ( I don’t want to tie up characters to complete these quests if I need them to earn dna & masks etc ). I’m hoping the only quest I need to focus on as part of this event is “Plantom of the Opera”? Many thanks.
Yes, for Dora, for sure, since that’s not part of the event at all (it’s the level 52 upgrade). The other two may go away when the event ends, but, from what was posted earlier on this site, you don’t lose out on much if you don’t get to do them, so, personally, I’m holding off on those until after I’ve crafted everything I want, and, if I don’t get to do those questlines, so be it.
Thanks Sandra ! 🙂
Seems like there are only questions and no answers…
I answered him! (But perhaps you posted this before seeing my posted response?)
http://i.imgur.com/Hf1mnCX.png
Hi Charles : )
I asked the same question and the answer is yes…everything else can wait apart from event related tasks. I currently have about 12 tasks waiting and the only one I am following is the icon with a theater mask …hope that helps x
Hi Brooders 🙂 Yes that helps, thanks x
Hey folks, I seem to remember some past talk of there being a forth act to this current event. If EA initially intended there to be such, then this would explain why so many of us (me included) are working our butts off (sic) but getting nowhere near the targets.
My reasoning for this is, if EA had originally planned a 4th act, they naturally would have plotted character involvement over the four time periods, thereby allowing plenty of time for prize gathering. However, as there are (now) only 3 acts, this has resulted in a smaller time frame for resource gathering, thus preventing our success unless we spend donuts.
This is dirty pool, any way you look at it.
And, on a different note, has anyone else heard that the bonus box (with Mr Burns) is to be dropped after 31 May?
So many questions…
I’m not sure about act 4 rumours but I’ve been able to craft most things already and I should have all items crafted buy the end of act 3. and that’s without spending any donuts.
The “count down” indicates 7 days (and a few hours)
The Premium Hunting License is available for 16 days (and a few hours)
Is this:
A “mistake” or a “hint”, depends on if you are an optimist or a pessimist.
Anybody else seeing a bug with Sideshow You? If I’m in Krustyland, and shut off my Android tablet, when I turn it back on (and am still in Krustyland), the timer for Sideshow You hasn’t counted down. If it said I had 2 hours to go, it’ll still say 2 hours to go when I go back into the game 8 hours later, and it won’t let me pop balloons. Taking the bus out of Krustyland and back fixes the problem, restoring the timer to its correct count and if appropriate putting up a balloon over Sideshow You. So if you see no balloon over Sideshow You when you expect one, try switching out of Krustyland and back.
Have been seeing that for a couple of weeks now.
If I’m on level 6 for the Opera Stage today, should I upgrade to 7, then stop or should I just keep saving from now on?
So when does the event end?
I stopped at level 7 and I have no regrets
