Sorry this is a little late…I was at lunch (apparently the baby was craving Fajitas today 😉 ) and apparently Bunny decided it was the one time she’d aet when she was supposed to. So…anyway…
Looks like we got ourselves a little premium update going on. Lots of premium stuff hit our stores. Some returning, some new. Ok only 2 of them are new..but still.
Anywho let’s take a look at what items EA has decided to bring into our games to get us to give up our sprinkles….
*Note: Prices to craft items also dropped…working on getting the break down now. Will update the bottom of this post with it once I’ve got it all figured out.
It also appears that the tasks no longer highlighted in yellow issue has been corrected too…
First up…the new stuff (and don’t worry we’ll have Should I Buy posts up on the new stuff….just give me a little time 🙂 )
Pet Mutant Seedling- 40 Donuts. Your very own Jelly Blob!
The Rad-ish Station- 200 Donuts. Adds 5% bonus on all cash and xp
And now for the…if you haven’t seen it it’s new to you stuff. i.e. Returning items…
Brandine- 100 Donuts. Everyone’s favorite Spuckler Mama is back in the game (and hey it’s not Valentine’s Day!) So if you didn’t get her last time (or the time before that) now’s your chance to grab her…. Should I Buy can be found here.
Bare Chested Willie- 60 Donuts. This is a skin for Willie…originally appeared during Whacking Day 2013…. Should I Buy can be found here
Giant Grasshopper- 35 Donuts. This is one of those decorations that we get asked about a lot. It’s from the Season 24 Yard Sale back in the Spring of 2013….Adds a .75% bonus on all cash and XP.
Mutant Peacock- 75 Donuts. An NPC making it’s way back from Halloween 2014…honestly save your donuts on this one.
Note…Willie’s Tractor, the Republican Party HQ and the Museum of Swordfish have also made a return.

Changes to Crafting Pricing:
It looks like this update brought some drops in crafting pricing…not to everything, but to some things. Here’s a look:
Item: Cane Field
Cost: NOW 2250

WAS 4,500 1,400
Item: Monsarno Flower Wall
Cost: NOW 1500 800 
WAS 3,000 1,600
Item: Cactus Patch
Cost: NOW 2250 1400 
WAS 4,500 2,800
And that’s it my friends…all the additions added to our Premium store for the Terwilliger Event! This items will leave the store when the event ends on May 26th. So if you’d like any of them make your purchases before time runs out!

I’ve been saving my donuts for Luann, but I think I’m going to get Brandine…I can start saving again!
I would have loved a price drop on the house boat and Gas n Grub. If I tap like no tomorrow I can get them with maybe an hour to spare lol. Time to lock in!
They could have done these pricedrops sooner, now I will probably not finish everything because I spent too much on cane fields (still need Sani john, sideshow bob sign. Simpsons boat and the Homer decoy) in 4 days…
Has the mutant spawn rate increased or is this midnight mirages?
Looks same to me.
I can see now that the overall rate has remained the same, just seems like a new one pops up sooner than once every 10 minutes (or time is really flying). And then I got only 1 mutant the half hour I was visiting neighbours.
I read on the Simpsons wiki that the event would end after may not on the 26th. So is it going to be a download and a few extra days to earn stuff or is it going to be a instant dl. Cause they have given extra days before.
Maybe I should call in my IS 7 from world of tanks and head over to EA games and have a real POW WOW with em. I wish heh.. Anyway yeah hope they give a lil extra time as it takes a while to get the rest. Still a bit off from the boat n sign but glad I can earn extra desert patches and cane fields.nto bad there was no scare crow. But that can be placed around Cletus’s place and millhouse’s fathers scare crow job can look more realistic I guess.

Right now, as with anything in the game, we can only go on the dates provided. For now, the 26th is the end for all the current items. If something else changes, we won’t know til the dates end or something is placed into the games. There may be another “secret” 4th phase like they had in the Superheroes Event, but if there is… it is not listed for any to see. Nothing more than dates on a handful of items you see. Nothing content wise, quest wise. Etc.
I do still find it weird that the hunting Lucerne l license displays that it will still be on sale for 10 days after act 3 ends.

I’m a freemium player that was given gift cards for Mother’s Day. So of course I bought Brandine today!! I knew there was a reason that I didn’t spend those donuts on Mother’s Day. Awwh, can hardly wait till she has her little ones running around. 👫. Noname 🙂
Congratulations on your impending birth. Eons ago a dear friend told me that you think you know love until you have a grandchild. My wish from you is that this little Spuckler is the child that only gives you in-game cash and no problems. LOL
I just remember Brandine spending an immensely large amount of time wondering around my Springfield pregnant. When I finally got my first Spunklet I asked my friend who already had one what they do and she told me that they just walk around and you get money from them, I guess that’s suppose to be wellfare. I was so happy to finally get out the last Spunkler so I could go back to putting Brandine on regular tasks again.
I missed shirtless Willie the first time around so glad he’s back. Got him because I’m all about skins.

It’s just me, or someone else is noticed that the Rad-ish Station is looks like (and sounds like) Radstation Fortress from Superheroes event?

Yep. Pretty sure it’s just a re-skin of the Rad-station. Honestly planning to save my donuts on this one.
Love the pet mutant. Then again unlike so many others I love NPCs . Now this radish thing. One of those things I had to twist my own arm to buy. I was never a big fan of the floating fortress from superheroes. At least it was unique, now not so much. They’re just too big to design with, which could lead into my umpteenth rant about the lack of land to design properly but I regress. (I now own both the fortress and the radish btw)
I love my NPC’s as well. I wish I had the flying blackbird from one of the Halloween events & the levitating lizards, but love Snowball(ii?) & the lil fat bunny who gets wings when tapped. The popcorning guinea pig is also great to tap.
Still nothing beats the twonicorn

I couldn’t resist the pet mutant blob. I only wish I could restrict his location and have him frolic around my designated farm or even research area. Im still undecided about the other stuff. I have around 120 doughnuts and I dont come off of them easily LOL

Tempted to buy Brandine but I’m not sure I want to spend 100 donuts for just a single character. It’s cool that they lowered the amount for some of the craftable items, but it doesn’t really help me. I’m saving up for the Welcome Bob Sign but I’m pretty far off, I’ll probably have to use donuts if I want it.
If you get Brandine, you have a task (which does last three months) where you can birth Spucklers – so, in effect, it’s a “buy one character, get three deal”. (Although they are NPCs.)
But the Spuckler kids do earn cash every 4 hours.
Remember that Brandine can give birth to more children, so you wont just be buying Brandine
Not really just one character, if you go through the questline and birth the 3 Spuckler kids.
Contacted ea about how it was unfair they’d dropped the prices but they were useless and said life was luck and there was nothing we can do about it!!
Try again and see if you get a different rep. Different reps will give you different answers.

Bunny was kind enough to describe the blob’s actions, which was a nice warning for me. I went looking and found a neighbour with one already. Have to say the poor wee beastie looks to be in pain and poor condition. May have to call the authorities for animal abuse. I would have paid 40 for the original, but not this. And as I remember, the grasshopper just sits there and moves its legs and antennae. Also not interested. Sure there will be something better coming along soon. The rad-station is a bit pricey for me, so not even in consideration. Will be interested in seeing the reviews.
Now if we could just get a wandering cloud with random lightening bolts, by Perkunas! Enough of these always sunny skies.
I’ve been scouring this site for that comment with blob’s actions and I can’t find it. What does the pet blob do? Does it hop around just as fast as the feral blobs?

I never really liked it that much myself. Just never found a decent place for it. Probably because the millions I saw growing up on a farm. Just MEH and annoyance to me. Oddly, I liked crickets more. Lol 🙂

I had hoped there would be more reduced items for crafting, but I’m glad as I wanted multiples of those and now it looks like I could get them. I need a LOT more items to get all of the crafted items, but this has made it a little bit easier!
I already crafted everything and I was working on multiples of the cane field, wall and cactus patch so SUPER EXCITED about the price drop. Not mad I already paid for some at the first price at all.

With the lowered price of cane fields I can get a least a couple of them to flank my giant bug!
I wonder how many players will try a plague scenario involving a series of cane fields, bordered by oncoming grasshoppers… and followed by stretches of desert patches in their wake.

I’m not impressed with the “price drop.” I have four cane fields, and just crafted two of them last night. If I had waited to craft I could have eight cane fields. I assumed it was safe to craft once I’d leveled everything up to where I wanted them. As it turns out I wasted my resources.

Why can’t they leave Brandine in the game all of the time rather than bringing her back every once in a while? I don’t have enough doughnuts at this time (again) to get her.
I have a feeling they dropped the crafting prices on the cane field, flower wall, and cactus patch because very few people either wanted them, or could afford them. Thanks for the update EA.
SO glad they dropped the price on the two things I want: cane fields and cactus patches. I got a couple of cane squares yesterday, but today I’ll be buying up a lot of BOTH. I already got the best (besets?) stuff already, like the decoy, gas station, etc., so this is a great way to spend my fertilizer, corn and so on.
And I finally got Brandine! That alone was worth this update!!!!
I crafted 4 cat us patch & 2 cane feilds. You think I can get a refund? I could’ve had so many more feilds &patches had I waited. Either way I’m glad I’m trying to get a pretty big size field &patch? This should help. I got 2 grasshoppers immediately. I’ve always wanted since I didn’t start playing until the last day of whacky day. On that note do you think they will ever bring back whacky day?

Well, for $3 you can purchase three Golden Scratch-Rs and get a minimum of 18 donuts (and maybe more!), which would give you enough to purchase her. It’s potentially not the most cost-effective way to purchase donuts (unless you win a lot more than the 18-donut minimum), but it’s probably the cheapest in terms of total outlay.
Better throw your freemium status out the window if you do that…. :p

I don’t think a couple of Golden Scratch-Rs takes away from one’s freemium status, but you can always use the term, “mostly freemium” or something, since it’s not a totally binary thing, like pregnancy, where you can’t say, “somewhat pregnant.”
Actually, I think the minimum for those golden scratchers is 6 donuts (unless I am mistaken…. and have very unfortunate luck, lol)
Yes – 3 tickets at $1 each (well 99¢, but I was keeping things simple) equals $3, and 3 x 6 = 18; hence a minimum of 18 donuts for $3.
