Hey, fence lovers! I know a lot of folks like to get as many fences as they can at the end of an event like this to use for other areas of town in the future, but, if you’ve purchased a stadium skin, keep in mind that’s all of your fences will be affected by the skin you choose for your stadium! So, if you want the clay tap ball stadium (my favorite…wish I had “extra” donuts to buy that!), then the extra fences you buy will also be the clay ones when you use them for something else.
It’s too bad that each stadium element doesn’t let you choose its skin separately (at least I don’t think it does)…
If EA does a yard sale to fill in time, what are your most wanted items to return?

Mine is really close, I would add House of Evil, Guinea Pig Rescue Center, Cool Brown House, Strupo statue, Super Collider with black hole and a lot of Halloween items especially Witch Marge (I joined at the very end of last year’s TOH event). I assume by sushi bar you mean 3 Eyed Sushi- would kill for that- but the Springfield Falls are at the top of my list too.

Anyone having issues with getting logged out of Origin for no reason then having to wait for the game to download all 300+ updates over and over. This requires lots of space and it is frustrating to have to wait for this to happen over and over.
Try deleting the app and re downloading from the App Store. That fixed the problem for me in the past. 🙂
random thought/idea: They should add General Sherman, the giant catfish for the ocean off boardwalk.
And Smithers needs a Bobo the bear costume. 🙂
I was just thinking about the Bobo costume the other day. I think next year July event should be a Bobo event – use the Build-A-Thing building again and mass produce Burn’s favorite bear (maybe different sizes), with a Teddy Roosevelt tie-in, and of course need a full character Maggie. And maybe a very young Burns skin. Old cruddy Bobo, future robo-Burns, Robo-dog Smithers too.

I was wondering if they’d ever do an event that had skins of the “old” simpsons, like, how they were drawn over the years since they didn’t start out looking the way they do now. Maybe even with sound clips of how they once sounded.

I’m just thinking ahead to the far far future – what if Tapped Out ends up using every character and every Skin, will they then start selling Quotes/sound clips for donuts? 😮
i wish they would reduce the amounts required for crafting like they did for the last event. I want a bunch of fences to go around my stadium setup but i don’t think i will have enough amateur bucks for all i will need
I know, the amount of tickets required for the fences is ridiculous. I would like the same. And enough tickets to put bleacher all around the boxing ring. Standing by itself it looks dumb. Fences should be much much cheaper.
Back to School /College event?
My Worcester hotel keeps disappearing whenever EA throws in an update for me. The latest friendship prize also went missing and the menu said I have got everything. The tapping to gain FP counter is still decreasing whenever I tapped but no FP pop out to indicate that I got the point.
Just wondering if any of you faced the same issue.
What am I going to do when I wake up at 1:00am? Don’t have no tasks to start!
I confess, I’m looking forward to the end of this event.
To my neighbors, sorry I haven’t been as active. I’m, well, I guess “tapped out”. I just want some time to redesign my Springfield, maybe with a few tiny updates with simple questlines for a bit, y’know, time to rest and move things around and still get some fun in-game things.
I wish they’d release a mini-event starring Apu’s Garden in the Shade. It would be fun; buy several plants, place them around, then see them in normal “Springfield” mode on the top of the Kwik-E-Mart.
I’ve decided not to start over from scratch, but to work with what I have and move things all around as necessary. It’s more difficult, but I’m having fun with it and, in the end, that’s what’s most important.
I love it when the small unexpected items come up, those are the best… that’s why I’m still kicking myself for not getting the big butt Skinner balloon. But anyways I’d like to see the character from when Bart sells his T-shirt business to goofy goose I think don’t think that’s the name but that would be awesome. Just my opinion. And also since we’re talking about it where’s Troy McClure seriously he used to be the man on everything… and a great tribute to the wonderful actor Phil Hartman (tragedy), he deserves a spot. Also Itchy and scratchy would be cool as separate characters.. maybe they can do their own quests in KL or both. 25 years I guess I could go on and on but off the top of my head those would be cool. And also the monorail but everyone has said that, well there sure is a lot more to come if there’s seventy-five levels and in game events… he’ll we haven’t even seen Maggie yet so lots to look forward too. There you have it a thought from Wes. Oh and Mr. Burns son (Rodney Danger field ).
When Phil Hartman died they retired all of his characters. I’ve been wondering/hoping they’d bring his characters in…but I think when they say “retired”, they mean it. He won’t appear in the show nor in the game. 🙁
So i think im done.. got all available prizes and pretty sure im done with quests. Crafted everything i want and all players maxed. There is one day left on event. Am i done?? What should i do ?

I really enjoyed the Tap Ball event. It was easy and not stressful at all. Can’t wait to see what else EA has in store for this game.
I agree – we didn’t have to update things every hour – going in every 4 hours or so was fine, the balls in our towns was a bonus thing – Everyone must have done a dump last night anticipating the end of the event – I got 20 balls!

Good idea. I saw around 15 balls in a few towns. It was nice, but not spectacular. Maybe a 1000 balls in one town. ^_^
I tried to dump a ton of balls in one town, but after a certain number of them (20 maybe?), it told me the town was full.
Looks like I overshot the mark by two thousand and one on one of my rounds of bonuts. Or overall, but I hit one exactly and it froze. The krustyland trick dislodged it.
I have really enjoyed this event as I am a huge sports fan. That said it seems like you have to spend donuts if you are going to really build out your stadium. I am a premium player (not sure if I qualify as a “whale”) and log in frequently when not working but was not able to craft easily. I didn’t max out my team so not sure if that hindered me. Sad to see this one end already.

I maxed out my team, 3 max levels in my 4 teams, it’s the most efficient. getting 18 bonus for winning against half 5 stars (same as a full star) I have over 2,230 bucks. but there’s nothing I want I got all I want from the free daily/act prizes. Stuff is expensive, and we don’t have almost every character able to go on item collecting tasks, instead of 17 total characters able to earn event money (plus some money from the fans you clear), we had however many EA coded as a character type (genius etc). We also had buildings that could be levelled up to increase item payouts, and shorter tasks paying out more than longer tasks. The tapball event has a fixed currency, even if you do shorter tasks, they earn the same as the longer would for the same time taken. Which is opposite of the normal way it works.
If there is more you want to craft then get that sports drink. That way you can earn more points towards bonunts!
You said a bit there, but I wanted to reply to the fixed currency. That was mostly a bad thing. It took out the enthusiasm to play more to get more. Instead you could set them to 24 hour tasks the same as the 1 hour task… Like you said, it’s against the normal way of earning money in TSTO. The only good part is that that meant that you don’t lose out if you didn’t play hardcore…. eh, dumb, though.
I have something like 4000 tickets left. Saving them for now because I figure if I’m going to be a few hundred pennants short of more bonuts, I can buy 40 or so bottles of obesotade, and tap ball my way to 3500. I mean, what am I gonna do with more bleachers?
I’m adopting this idea. Though I do want more lights.

hey guys, ive noticed some of my neighbors have a building in their tap ball arenas that i have not seen anywhere or noticed until the other day. ive seen it in the normal yellow, a clay style and in a gold style stadium. it is taller than the entrance, maybe vip seating at top with windows? its not in my store and wasnt offered as a prize. any ideas where they got these?
It’s the backside of both the three and two story bleachers. The three story bleacher has an entrance, and the two story bleacher has banners hanging vertically. Try turning your bleachers around. You’ll see it.
Pretty sure you are talking about the three tier stadium seats. Depending on how they are rotated, the backs look like a tiny building. Hard to tell your comment was vague. Hope I helped.

Maybe the triple deck bleachers when they are rotated around backwards? They can be placed in four orientations, and from the back it’s hard to tell they are bleachers.

Burns is great too with his signalling. Lots of good actions.
I noticed in a neighbours town that Drederick was boxing. I don’t have that action for him. I just got him recently so haven’t run through the initial quest line yet. Could this be the reason?
I also had 2 warnings from EA about having too many items in my town making it unstable. I’ve stored heaps of stuff, Christmas, Easter and most of the characters that just wander around town.
Is there anything else I can do or will it all come crashing down on the 3rd warning?

I’ve had that warning numerous times and nothing ever happens. I think the limit is 4500 but i have about 5000 now and nothing has happened, I think maybe cause i have a couple of gigs free on my device so the extra items don’t overload my system. Don’t know if it effects my friends visits but doesn’t seem to. That being said the item limit is way to low, especially now with the extra levels and land. Whats the point of extra land if you can’t decorate or put buildings on it? I’m way over the limit and I’m nowhere near the minimum amount of decorating i want to do
The problem I have with the Summersaults and Cartwheeling is that when you pick those your character can be anywhere in your town. Sometimes I takes a while to find them. I hope that these tasks are still there when the event is over.
yeah the initial warning a 4500 is a joke, unless you are rocking really old technology. i play the game on a tablet and smartphone, both from 2012, and my object count is way up above 7000 objects. i been trying to keep it below 7k, but since the update that added two new strips of land, i’m fairly sure my object has soared above 7100… not certain though, because the last warning i got was at 7050. yes, when you get to have this many objects in your town, it can slow things down and cause visual glitches from time to time, so i would really recommend trying to keep it under 7k. i felt like below that, my devices still perform optimally, but above that things start slowing down. fortunately, this hasn’t yet caused any adverse effects for my neighbors that visit my town… my brother visits my town daily (also on a 2012 nexus 4) and says that everything still runs smoothly.
I’m wondering if the “River” squares are considered objects. I buy up land and flood it with the goal of turning the entire Springfield into a swamp.
pretty certain any kind of map tiles (pavement/road/water/boardwalk) don’t contribute towards the object count. so you’re good to go with your swamp huffers set!
Lol, I remember those warnings, how I miss them. Unfortunately now I have a new problem, the game won’t let me place any more items. I’m a bit annoyed, especially since we just got all that land to play with. Those who have me as neighbours know that while I have an intricate town my item usage isn’t really that excessive. I have an iPhone6 and still have noticed no performance issues.

Wanted to poll my fellow tappers for advice. After a lot of collecting I am up to almost 160 doughnuts and am looking at the character building combos. Thinking hungry Hun with with the German, jasper and the community center, frink and his lab, or the studio with sideshow Mel. It seems like everyone is voiced and about even but I wanted to see if my fellow tappers have insight into why one person might be the better choice or if it just comes down to personal preference?
Frink was my first real donut spend. But I like the guy, and it felt more organic having him pop up in every event with something to contribute…..
I would personally go with jasper

Frink if you don’t care as much about building up Krustyland. If you want help in Kurstyland, I’d go Mel.
Unless you adore k land, it is pretty dead fir ten levels until you get the princess level. Then it’s dead again. I have like half a million tickets unspent. Level 55 daily.
You do know that 30,000 KL tix can be exchanged for 100,000 in-game bucks, right?
I’ve never seen the point of doing that in my game, since I already have plenty of cash. Now, if I could trade them in for donuts, that would be a different matter!
Need a Krustyland event.
I have two: Hungry Hun/Uter and Frink. I like Frink better because he seems to be tied into events more and he has a cool one-hour task among others. One asset of Uter is he is a kid, so he is another player for those kid-only tasks during events.
My favorites are Frink and lab, and Mel and studio. It’s a personal thing. I always liked those characters from the show, and I like the look of the studio. With time, you can get all of it. Just stay focused on the ones you want the most.
Frink is a fun character and the lab is so cool looking!
Sideshow mel helps out in krustyland if you still need to build that up. If not, either would be fine, they both earn the same as premium characters, so personal preference.
My suggestion is not to rush. A back to school sale may be here in a month and a half and perhaps there will be a sale in late autumn or Xmas. Have put off my own shopping for that reason. Would hate to get something and then find it on discount a month later. But if spending is an urgent need, Frink tops my list. Just hoping he will be on discount in September. I suspect there may not be any fans for sale in a couple of days as they may want to repeat the event with another sport in the future.
I know there are lots of speculations about the themes for future events, and a lot of addicts (myself included) wanted a Futurama crossover; however, this has obviously been nixxed by the news they’re getting their own game by a different developer.
This doesn’t mean there still can’t be a crossover event of sorts. I’d love to see an event themed on “The Critic” instead… in fact, it would make more sense as Jay Sherman has made more appearances in The Simpsons anyway, and there’s a goldmine of characters to choose from there. I’m sure a lot of addicts would enjoy it, but maybe some of the younger ones wouldn’t know what it was all about. What does everyone else think?
While I would love a crossover with either of those series, I agree that it doesn’t seem likely. Futurama, for the reasons you gave and The Critic because of the bad blood the origin crossover episode created behind the scenes. While I dont know how active he truly is in the day to day business decisions, Matt Groeneg really hated that episode.
My take on this event is that it was a nice change of pace from the last couple of events which required a high rate of logging in, sonetimes almost hourly. With this one you really only needed to collect every four hours to keep right on top of things… easily doable for most. There was a lot of nice new content, particularly buildings and skins… but this is the first ever event that didn’t have a freemium playable character, and in fact the only event to have only a single new playable character of any type since the horrible Clash of Clones event.
It was nice to see the community prizes make a comeback, but the mistake made was making the balls craftable objects. In previous events the items needed to boost the community score were occasionally earned for free when tapping the roaming characters from that event. In this event you had to decide whether the tickets required for a ball were worth spending on the chance the community totals would be reached, or better used towards other craftable items that were definitely more attainable.
One question… an awfully high percentage of my neighbours leveled up all their characters to five stars, but I stopped at four, as I figured the ticket price past that wasn’t worth the return, and better put towards craftable items, and the difference in winning a fice star game and a three-and-a-half star was not that huge; however, did I miss something? Was there something to be gained from having a fully five-star team?
I’m glad some folks didn’t level up to five stars, because I generally prefer to play a team that I can win without having to use up tonic (which I generally save for my lower-level team). So, maybe you had more folks playing against you than you might have if you were another five-star team! 🙂
i can’t speak on whether it was worth the return, since i didn’t do any math to figure it out. but knowing that the upgrade limit was 5 stars, i purposely kept mine at 4 as well, hoping to entice my neighbors to challenge me when/if most of their other neighbors fully upgraded. i don’t mind being a loss leader for my neighbors; could give a crap less about my tapball record, plus i always felt bad if one of them wasted a challenge me and lost anyway.
That’s pretty close to my philosophy too. I stopped upgrading between 3 and 4 stars (nerve tonic takes care of the rest) so I could craft fences (unfortunately my Kindle died. Perhaps from overwork . I lost four days of game play waiting for the replacement) I also couldn’t care less about my record, I still get AB’s for defensive losses so if neighbors target me, it’s still a win for us both.
Past events have conditioned me to upgrade, upgrade, upgrade so I leveled four tapballers to 5 stars. On the plus side, it gave me a team that could win consistently without needing to use the tonic. Don’t know if that was the best strategy, but with the zero donut rush, I was able to upgrade without spending the full ticket amount. Also, the craftables for his event aren’t insanely expensive, so spending tickets on my players didn’t seem like a huge sacrifice.
I went up to four stars and then I could mostly win with tonic or lose without, if I went up against players like me. Most of my friends went up to five stars, so there were just a few 3-4 star teams I played again & again. I usually tried to leave a ball behind. 🙂
Maybe this has been the norm, but with the overtime bonus, I assumed that if you hit the goal but had pennants left over, they’d carry over to the next goal…not disappear.
Case in point: I had 2500-2800 pennants this morning (can’t remember exact amount). I finished the daily task, got my bonus 2000, and got the bonuts. But when the next round of overtime popped up, it showed 0/3500, instead of 1000/3500 (or 1200/3500, depending on where I was at).
I didn’t pay attention to the other overtime bonuses…are we supposed to lose the leftovers, or should they carry over?
Unfortunately, any over the 3,500 don’t count towards the next goal.

I got really lucky today. I needed almost exactly 2000 pennants to get my bonuts today, and the daily task bonus came at exactly the right time.
unfortunately that has been the norm, just gotta try to plan ahead so you don’t cash in those daily tasks bonuses unless you have 1500 pennants or less.
You always lose the excess in this game. Which is lame lame land, just try to manage income, there is no daily task tomorrow, so you can’t lose much more than thirty pennants, but like I said, I think I lost two thousand and one, or a combination thereof, in the process myself. Normally I am pretty on top of it.
Expatrie-
It is normal during events for there not to be roll-overs. That applies to bonus currency as well as changing currency. It took me a couple of events until I groomed that.
Groomed was supposed to be “grokked.” Spell-check, when I want your opinion I will beat it out of you.😠
They do not carry over. I knew this but committed the mistake like you as I have just woken up.
