Woo-Hoo It’s Our 2 Year Blogiversary!

simpsons-party2

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Today marks the official 2 year anniversary of when TSTO Addicts was officially launched!  We’re completely blown away by the AMAZING community of readers we have here at TSTO Addicts.  We absolutely love what we do and really appreciate all of YOU!

Of course we’re no strangers to celebrating an anniversary around here!  We celebrated our 1 month anniversary way back when, our 6th month anniversary, and our 1 year anniversary last year.  We’re always celebrating little milestones with each other and we LOVE to share the bigger ones with you guys!  After all YOU guys are the heart and soul of this community….and we wouldn’t have it any other way!  So, Bunny, Wookiee and I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you to our wonderful readers and share our thoughts on Addicts turning 2!

It’s seriously hard to believe we’re celebrating two years today.  It really seems like just yesterday this “little blog that could” started as a crazy idea between my childhood friend and I.  With no real thoughts that we’d be anything more than a tiny little blog about a silly little game, the past two years have completely blown me away!  I’ve said this many times before but when we set out to create the site we wanted to be different.  We wanted to do things no one else was doing.  We wanted something with more personality.  We wanted to laugh.

Now here we stand 2 years later and I think we’re continuing to achieved our goals daily!

But honestly, no matter what we do this site would not be what it is today  with out you amazing readers!  You guys make this place fun, we just supply the music and margaritas!  We love each and every one of you for being here and being part of this AMAZING Community! 🙂

We’ve had a blast over the past two years getting to know many of you (our regulars) and seeing new “faces” popup in the comments.  And when we get to see you and hang out at the meet and greets (or at baseball games ;)) it’s always a great time!  You guys seriously make this place what it is…and have kept us going for the last two years. (Yes even with all the redundant questions in the comments 😉 )

Of course we’re the “baby” of the TSTO Community.  There are several other TSTO blogs out there that recently celebrated their 2 year anniversary, and we consider them good friends! So we’d like to say a big thank you to:

Everyone over at TSTOTopix.me (new and old).  In particular to Mike S and Em.  Two of our good friends from way back in the Tapped-Out.co.uk days.

And Feelingblind over at TSTOgame.com.  Fb is a good guy, who i’ve personally gotten to know and hang out with a few times over the last couple of years.

And of course everyone over at Tapped-Out.co.uk, where it all started!  Addicts would not exist with out the awesome site that Tim created over at TOuk.

A big thanks to all of your for your continued support and friendship!

Of course I’m just 1/3 of this site…and it wouldn’t be nearly as much fun if I didn’t get to write and work everyday with 2 of my best friends!  Bunny and Wookiee, I love you both like you’re family and I know our friendship will continue way beyond TSTO and into those days when you’re both living in retirement homes.  Don’t worry, I’ll still come visit!  😉

Of course now Bunny and Wookiee want to have their say too!

First up, a word from Wookiee:

A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, I was a normal dude.  Granted life was stressful and I needed something to distract me in my free hours but things were ok.  Then I’m browsing the app store and see a game about the Simpsons where I could build my own Springfield.  This seems cool.  I could think of lots of items that EA should add but hey… new level… looks like they plan to add new stuff.  I add a couple coworkers and tap along.  Then my buddy, just for fun let’s call him Boscoe, tells me about a trick to add the Jebediah Springfield statue and some free donuts into my game.  Cool!  But where did he find that out?

Sorry to bore you with a little intro, but it is that single moment that led to today.  I found a blog about TSTO which led to a social community about TSTO where I met dear, sweet Alissa.  The blog led me to Flickr where I met the talented Bunny.  Said blog went kaput and crazy Alissa decided she’d start her own, I joined in, dragged the cotton tail along and two years later… here we are still doing it.  It’s been an interesting road with ups and downs.  Essentially, once we found the format we liked for coverage, we’ve been doing it and im my opinion, doing it well.  I am humbled by all the amazing tappers who give me the chance to write my thoughts and origin posts for this silly, little game.  It’s definitely a labor of love that can be a bit daunting but worth it every time we help someone out or entertain them.

Thank YOU for reading our madness.  Some have been here since the beginning, joined over the years (that still feels weird to write) or just recently drank the kool aid.  No matter what, it’s You that makes this site possible.  A huge wookiee shoutout to my two sisters from different misters.  Even if this site collapsed tomorow, I’m privileged for meeting them and lucky to have made two very good friends. They’re the glue that keeps Addicts going while I pop in here and there.  Much love to both of you ladies… to infinity and beyond even.

Not much else to say.  The last two years have been fun and I’m looking forward to the next one.  Stay classy, keep on tapa-tapa-tapping in the free world and much love from the walking carpet.

TTFN… Wookiee out!

And for Bunny’s say…

Hey there Hoppereenos!

2 YEARS!!! WOW! Has it really been that long? Is it possible to feel like it was just yesterday but that we have been a trio of silly Addicts forever? Almost like we grew up together. I guess you could say it was just meant to be. So much has happened in 2 years. I am still quite content and happy at the Lil Blog Family I have. My fellow Fuzzball and soon to be Momma Alissa. Best Friends separated up until…well… about 3 years ago. Lol. I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world.

As far as the site…The Addicts site has grown so much, but still feels like “the lil blog that could”. I can’t believe the amount of recognition for the site I get no matter where I travel from the West to East Coast. I love hearing Reader’s response to what we do for them here. How much it has helped their overall gaming experience. How it makes them laugh. Or how many new online friends they are now making (like a repeat of Wookiee, Alissa, and me.)

Outside of the site, I am still in awe at how recognized we are when I am in the real world. I just do not think of us as a “Big Thing”. Just more the “Small Mom & Pop Shop”. Many times, I see someone on our site as I am sitting at the Airport or in a Local Coffee Shop on my travels (Alissa teases me at my “People Watching”). I observe more out of curiosity. They are looking at what WE made. Kinda takes me by surprise to see it. Like it isn’t real.

Even though I should have probably been in the Hospital, I was determined to make our Meet and Greet in March and LOVED it! So many cool friends from the site. Putting faces to the Names. I got a kick out of just giving back to you all. I do hope we can do more soon after lil Momma pops.

All I can say is that 2 years in… I still LOVE what I do here. LOVE my fellow partners in crime. And LOVE LOVE LOVE all our Amazing Readers on this site. I have come to know a lot of you through the site and you now feel a part of the “Lil Blog Family” too. I feel amazingly blessed to have had all the opportunities in my life this Blog has brought me. I hope to continue going and going and going.

Here’s to another 2 years!!!

So that’s it from the Addicts crew on this special day!

I made you guys a promise WAYYYYYY back in September of 2013: “My promise to you, our amazing readers, is to ALWAYS provide you with the best content in a fun way.”  And now here we stand just about 2 years later and I think we’ve done a pretty good job living up to that promise!

So here’s to a great year and many more to come!

Thanks for being a part of this awesome TSTO Addicts community! 🙂

  3. Happy anniversary! (*^o^)/\(^-^*)

  4. TWO YEARS! Congrats, you guys! Thanks sooooo much for all that you do. Seriously, I don’t know how you balance it all but I’m thankful you do! The game just wouldn’t be the same without TSTO Addicts. I loved hanging out with you guys at the meet and greet and I hope we can do it again some time! ⚾️🐰🐻(just pretend that bear is a wookie)

  5. Happy anniversary to the 3 of you!

I stumbled upon the site last year during the Clash of Clones. I started playing just before that event…I believe there was a Gil sale that included Otto and the school bus with some of the playground equipment. Being a new player and still figuring out everything, I ran into the glitch where the extra stuff that came with Otto didn’t show up in my town. I had no idea where to turn, so I did the normal thing you do in this day-and-age…Googled “simpsons tapped out otto glitch,” and your site was the first that came up. Since then, I check the site daily and get all my TSTO info from you. You three have created an awesome site that should be THE go-to place for any addict!

Might I add…EA should kick you three some extra donuts for all the “pro-bono” work you do 🙂

    • Aw well thank you! 🙂

    • I think you and I started playing at almost exactly the same time! 🙂

      • Very cool! You’re like my TSTO twin! 🙂

        • 😀

I think that’s part of the reason I got Otto as many first premium purchase…I didn’t have anywhere near enough donuts to get him during that great Gil’s Deal (and no way was I gonna spend task money in a game in just started playing), but I really wanted him and not being able to get him then made me want him even more, lol!

  6. 🎈🎂💝Happy Anniversary!!!

  7. Congrats on turning 2!

I can’t remember what brought me to your site but I obviously found the answer here because I never left. And it’s hard to believe that you are only two as I can’t remember a time when reading this site was not an essential part of my day. Not to even mention the incredible community that you have created/nurtured – ‘belonging’ to your community definitely makes my life brighter!

May all your wishes come true in the year ahead – including winning the lotto so you can resign and do this full-time (or should that be ‘more’ full-time’ 😄)

Thank you Alissa, Bunny, Wookiie & the whole TSTO Addicts community – you rule 👑👑👑👑👑
    Michael

  8. I debated and decided to fess up.
Alissa, I have a crush on your PHOTO.
Now I see at least 4 stumbling blocks to furthering anything.
#1 – You are East Coast (New Jersey I think, near NYC or Philly) and I am West Coast (30 miles from San Francisco)
#2 – You are married, I am married
#3 – I have been married long enough that I could say (in my best Star Wars/ Darth Vader voice) “Alissa, I am your father”
    #4 – We don’t know each other.

I suggest that if item #2 is ever eliminated, and we decide that item #3 is determined to be of no consequence, we work on over coming item #4 by getting together for lunch on a regular basis. Alissa, can you investigate a luncheon spot in Topeka where we can gather???

If you only knew just how sore my tongue and cheek is!
(But I do like your photo)
(And apologies if anything I wrote offended you)

    • lol now that cracked me up! (no offense taken don’t worry 😉 ) But thank you for the sweet words…and I’ll see where we can get together in Topeka 😉

  9. It’s the community feel that makes this place what it is.
You come for the information, you stay for the fun.
This page is like every other post on the site, full of familiar names, discussing the latest thing related to the game,

I see at least 6 neighbours down the page, but lots of other names I recognise,

    It feels like home

Well done everybody for making it what it is,

Thank you Alissa, Bunny, & Wookie for the hours you’ve put in, to help every one of us

    👏 👏 🎂 🎂 🎈 🎈 🎆 🎆 💘 💘

  10. Happy anniversary, Happy anniversary, Happy anniversary, HappyYyyyyYYYyy anniversary! 🎆🎇🎊🎉✨💫🌟🍩🍩🍩
Had to wait until I was on my phone so I could give you proper fireworks and bonuts.
I only started reading here during Terwilligers, but it quickly became my go-to TSTO site. Now I find myself checking every morning when I get up, like the morning paper! Thanks for all the hard work 😊

  11. Happy Blogaversary!!! The three of you rock. I hope y’all realize how much you mean to those of us out here, even those of us who rarely comment but are checking in on a daily (or many times a day). I know that had I not found this site with all its wonderful information I would have been a short timer but now I have been playing since March 2014.I know still a not very long but I would not have made it with out all the support of TSTO Addicts. Here’s to many many many more years.!!

  12. I can’t thank you guys enough I haven’t been using this site that long but the use ( and laughs)of gotten out of it in such a short time is just epic you guys are the bomb keep on doing what your doing happy anniversary

  13. Congratulations!! You guys rock! Here is to many more years of tapping goodness.

And a Happy (if belated) Middle Child Day to all my fellow middle children out there. As Lisa said ” Victory for the middle child!”

  14. Marion (AnothrAddict)

At two you guys are twice as adorable and precious to me as you were a year ago!
Thought that was as fitting for you guys as it was for my cousin’s 2nd birthday card.
I shoulda known this site was meant for me when I came across you guys almost two years ago. I’ve used my user name AnothrAddict for all my gaming over the years. I just fit right in within the community, another addict of TSTO. You guys make me laugh and smile daily. TSTO wouldn’t be as fun without you guys. Thanks so much for all of your knowledge and patience. Can’t wait for the years to come. Lots of hugs your way!
    Marion (AnothrAddict)

  15. Okay guys, I know you’re not going to believe this, but *I* am actually at a loss for words to say how wonderful this community you created it and how much it’s meant to me over the past year.

So, no poems or stories or flowery words, just a heartfelt “Happy Blogiversary!” and a very deep and sincere “thank you.”

  16. Just read all the comments – everyone is so awesome! And now I am in the mood to celebrate! Only it is the middle of the night and no one’s here… Only virtual party people – so, drinks on me, and a round of hugs for everyone!
A careful one for Alissa. You take care of yourself now, girl! Get all the rest you need and don’t worry about us.
A wary one for Bunny. Is it really safe to get so close?? 😉
And a bear hug for Wookiee. Purely for selfish reasons. I always wanted to know what a Wookie feels like… Hmmmm, soft…
Anyone else wants a hug, just line up here, I am going to take care of you one at a time. Out that door, line on the left… Lol

  17. Congrats guys! Thank you so much for your great info and opinions, I really appreciate your time and effort. Party on and have a pork chop!

  18. Happy anniversary to all of you! Pretty incredible but not surprising, you gals and guy have always had a good thing going here and you are just machine’s with all that you do with 2 active sites and still manage to have energy and enthusiasm that I would pay to have. Here’s to many more, been one crazy experience that’s for sure.

    • Thanks Mike. You already know I adore the heck out of you and all your hard work. If it wasn’t for you and your hard work on the OTHER site that should not be named, I wouldn’t be still playing. Circle of life type stuff. I consider you a really good friend and love when we get the chance to talk in between our busy chaotic lives. 😉

  19. Congrats on the anniversary! The little blog that could, indeed! We’re fortunate that you’ve been able to build such a helpful and friendly community here! Thanks for all you do!

  20. I’ll give you a choice: Mr. Burns as Marilyn Monroe, Me as Marilyn Monroe or (the living youthful) Maryilyn Monroe as Princess Leia singing “Happy Anniversary, to you” 😉 – maybe poping out of a large cake. OK here it goes:

“Haaaaappppyyyyyyy Annnnnnniverrrssarryyyy toooooo yooooouuu, Haaapppppy Annnniverrsarryyyy Tooooo Yooouuu, Haaaaappppyyyyy AaannnnIVERRRSSarrryyy Deaar AddddddDiicts, 😉 , Haaapppyy Annniversarrry Tooooo YOOOOOOOUUUU”

Aaagh I got cake all over me… I don’t suggest you eat any of this cake, it’s like between my toes and you don’t want to know what else. A complete waste all those eggs and batter just ruined, it took hours to bake too and the Oven was shipped in from over seas just to bake such a large amount… Aww, I’m sorry folks, I didn’t think this through when I decided to do this…. What you were imagining, Mr. Burns and Princess Monroe??? Well you were wrong, it was ME, the whole time! I’ll get someone to clean this up – enjoy the rest of your anniversary, sorry about the mess.

  21. Happy Anniversareeno! 😀 I had been playing all alone for over a year before I finally decided to see what you were all about. What a true delight to find you three…AND…all of my fellow Sky Finger fanatics! WOO-HOO!
Thank You for your dedication & passion. Mega Hugs with Bonuts! xxxx

  22. Well,What can i say?Happy Anniversary?I don’t know. It’s just too weird like the time passes so quickly.2 Years? That’s a lot and i started on halloween 2013.I didn’t know about those others blogs 😛 But i don’t think i’ll read them I have all i want here with you guys and all the community :D.
Thank you for being so patient with all of us.And with those who do not speak English (Like me :D)

  23. Happy day! Thanks for providing an awesome & informative community! Best wishes.

  24. Thanks for everything the Fearsome Threesome does for us Simpsons nerds out here! Keeping us sane in the eye of the TSTO maelstrom!

    Happy anniversary.

  25. Ha ha yep!

  26. Happy Blogaversary!

  27. Happy 2nd year💥🎈🎉🎋🎊🎁👻

  28. my 6 year old tells me I play too much …I tell him it’s not just a game it’s a community!

  29. Congratulations on the 2nd year anniversary!
I came across the game when I was annoyed by boredom, then I saw a recommendation of it, so I downloaded it from the store.
This was the kick-start of watching the show, because if I didn’t know the characters’ stories I cannot fully understand and enjoy the game.
I started it playing anonymously, but after 3-4 days, I registered to Origin.
It was January 20th 2015, but I bought the device at 2014 Dec.
Then I came across this blog where I could get a helpful article of the current “happening” inside the game (The Musk Who Fell to Earth Promotional)
I was at Level 10,and got the task to build the Manual Power Generator, and only 23 hours remained from the item’s availability, but the Promotional was went successful.
Then after sometime, I faced with the first Event that I can participate (Superheroes 2015), but I was got to Act 2 and in the middle of it, but I used my device as a lab rat, which resulted that it went to the service because I made a mistake and the device won’t work anymore.
But after 2 weeks, I paid the bill, and immediately downloaded the game, but I cannot get further than Act 3.
After the further events, I played quite times, but I have now obsessed with the influx of the new games that I can play with the new video card in my PC, because I had a very ancient video card, so if I wasn’t so active in the very awaited Monorail event, I playing with game which I wanted to play with so much because of the amazing story line, but got slapped down from it because the video card’s inability to start the game.
I try to be active in the event, and now I am at Level ~46.
Thank if you readed it 🙂

  30. One day I was moaning and complaing because I wanted the new Nancy Drew game to hurry up and get here, my daughter told me why don’t you try this Simpson’s tapped out game, so I downloaded the game and thought, ok this is a cute little game, then we got stuck and I went to get some help. Came across this website and found.it very helpful.
I loved the fact that it gave out helpful info without cheats and hacks.
then I started reading all the comments and found that I wasn’t the only one with similar questions. Then just couldn’t go a day without a daily visit to y’all.
    I love what y’all do.
Who know that this little cartoon that I would let my boy t watch 20 years ago would.became such a big deal in my life today.
    Thanks for everything.you do
