Should I Spend Donuts on Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

The Monorail has finally arrived.  Yes, the Monorail is now in Springfield….as well as a whole lotta garbage.  What better way to eliminate the garbage, than with a recycling center?  Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it!  We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant to YOUR Garbage Clearing Fleet?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this vegan to YOUR Springfield!
littlelisarecyclingplant_menu

Building: Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant
Donut Price:
200 Donuts
Earns:
350ico_mono15_blueprints_lg, 15xp/4hrs
Conform-O-Meter Impact: Consumerism +10
Placement: Required to be placed on Grass, Beach and Ocean.  You’ll need 8×3 of Grass open by 8×3 of beach, and the rest will carry over into the ocean.  Make sure you have nothing in the ocean, on the beach or on the grass blocking it from being placed.
It will look like this when properly placed:
2015-08-16 23.36.14

Pros:
-Constantly animated
-Earns a bunch of blueprints every 4hrs.  (350/4hrs) So if you go into your town and clear it every 4hrs, 4 times/day you’ll earn an additional 1400 blueprints/day.

Cons:
-Insanely expensive.  200 Donuts is a LOT to pay for this building.
-No character interaction/questline with this building.

Final Thought:
Premium Take:
Personally, I think this is way to expensive even as a premium player.  While it looks cool and earns a ton of Blueprints, I just don’t think the donut cost is worth it.  In order to make it worth your money you’ll need to log into your game at least 4 times/day.  If you’re doing that you should be able to earn more than enough blueprints the other ways…(math post here).  I just don’t think it’s worth it or necessary…

Freemium Take:
Stay away…stay far far away from this one.  It’s a giant donut suck and just isn’t worth it.  If you play your game diligently enough (which you’ll have to do to make this purchase worth it anyway), you’ll earn plenty of blueprints to unlock all of the prizes and earn some extra tracks.  So freemium players, pass on this one.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do…and I can tell you as a premium player I’m passing on this one.  Just not worth it to me.   However, this IS a limited-time item.  So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games.  (and if you are thinking about getting it, the sooner the better)

What are your thoughts on Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield (or did you already)? Did you have issues with the placement?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  2. I got it too, and am happy with it. I like the blueprints in generates, and how it sits on the land/sand/water – like how it flows from the sand to the water the way it does. I love the episode and LIsa’s disgust when she saw it. No regrets, though it is expensive.

  3. i work a lot so i baught this early on. bad idea i cant even keep the monorail running because im on an old phone and it sucks up resources. ugh. if you wanna see it in action add me mobwmwm

  4. Will it generate cash once the event is over?

  5. CapCityGoofball

Even though it was super expensive, I couldn’t resist. Loved that episode! I guess there is a “whale” for everyone! 😄

    • considering this helps for the event and is 50 donuts cheaper, you can rest easy knowing that the whale equivalent when it comes to standalone buildings is still the mansion of solid gold.

that being said, i’m in full agreement with alissa on this one. it is indeed a giant donut suck, and they should replace the fish in the building animation with donuts…

  6. I’m a freemium player, but I’ve been saving up donuts & had over 300 (I rarely see things I really *have* to have). I bought it despite the really high cost. I’m not worried about getting all the prizes; what I want is as many extra (bonus) monorail tracks as possible. Plus I liked the episode it’s from.

The monorail is one of the best episodes of the Simpsons, and this seemed like a great way to convert precious donuts into more monorail tracks. (I’d rather have another station, I’m not really interested in the Krusty one.)

  7. Even without the blueprints, I Love the animation it was worth it for that alone

  8. I got it, and love it. I’m making a nice garbage/industrial area very expensive I know but worth it for me.

  9. Kim (Kimberlyah794)

I got it right away. CRAZY expensive, but loved the episode it comes from, including Lisa’s horror.

  10. I got it cause I liked the episode and have the dounuts to spend on it. No regreats here

  11. HELP !!!!! I can no longer find the tab 4 SH only for the Monorail 😢. I can’t spend any $ to buy things if I can’t find the icon for our new town & running game. Any suggestions would be awesome. Have fun tapping !!!!

Jackie Jnurse7777105 – ID 4 tapped out I’m home bound due to cancer & would love some friends to play with !!!! God Bless !!!!

    • Expand your store menu. Click on the icon that looks like the sign outside of the tunnel for Springfield Heights (red brick sign). That’ll bring up that store.

    • I just sent a neighbour request Jackie, maybe I’ll do until some proper neighbours come along ?

  12. I got this one right away as I remember the episode also. No buyers remorse here (though I agree it is expensive). I think the animation is really funny and one of the better ones in the game. Not because I enjoy the slaughtering of animals, but each time I see it I am reminded of the episode. Both Lisa’s reaction of shock and horror and Burns reaction of wondering the problem is (to paraphrase Lisa – ‘even when you are trying to be good you are still evil’).

Tbh I got it just because i love the episode. I had a lot of donuts skate cos there’s just not been much that interested me in sale lately so to find something cool like this, I was happy. I didn’t even know it gave blueprints when I got it, so woo bonus!

  14. Will it earn new currency in Acts 2 and 3? Or will it stay with Blueprints?

  15. I bought it. Expensive, but it’ll go great with the industrial district i can finally start to build with the recycling stations we’re getting.

  16. If this building came with Jesse Grass, it would still be on the extremely expensive side. 200 for a building/character combo is still stupid high. Very interested in the Krusty Station “should I buy”…

    • i have the same thoughts as you. I am playing two towns though. however the recycling plant is way out of my donut budget. I am very interested in the krusty station also. but I have two towns….one has ALWAYS been a freemium town (so probably not for that one) and then my A game has been a Premium game from Day 1, turned Freemium last year and now on occasion back to occasional purchases. but I really also want to know what if the krusty station is worth it.

  17. I bought this one right away strictly because I love the episode. Lisa’s exasperated “dear god” when she finds out what burns is doing is one of my favorite moments in the Simpsons. It was way overpriced. I would have been much happier if Barney would lick the glass window for the donuts spent.

  18. I’ve seen this and the animation in a neighbors town and find it disturbing and repulsive. At least the Slaughter House didn’t have digital animals on a conveyer belt (just slabs of meat). I get that the Lil’Lisa Slurry Plant is authentic to the episode (which also made me feel nauseous).

So for me this was a Must buy… Wait!! No!! The opposite, a complete Pass (shocked I know) :p

  19. Just to echo everyone else, Bummer its 200 donuts. I really like the loo of the building and the epsode it comes from is great. Maybe if it came with Jesse Grass or some other character but still would be a bit too pricey.

  20. Wish I would of read this before my purchase. #fail

  21. I think you folks need to rethink. A permit that doubles your blueprints cost 90 donuts to yield 18×30 or 540 a day. Clicking on this plant 3 times will yield 1350 a day. But there is more. You have to collect your friend rewards after 24 hours which yields time creep. Sooner or later those rewards become available when you’re asleep and you loose a day. Lastly you need to earn bonus blueprints for more track!

If the track was available for purchase at 2 donuts a pop, then this building is pointless.

    • I also suggested not getting the permit unless you were short on time. For 200 donuts this just isn’t worth it…

      • From the other comments, it sounds like we are all chasing down as many blueprints as practical to obtain more track.

Aside from that, will there be another station? My hope is to connect my two commercial districts together.

  22. I got it, mainly because I love that episode with Lil Lisa’s slurry. The bonus of blueprints had a little to do with it but not much. I haven’t been reaping that benefit honestly because I’m just not getting in every four hours. Maybe today. BUT I only paid $3 for it because I hit the scratcher jackpot! I don’t play often but I wanted this so I limited myself to three tries and woo hoo! Sprinklies! Otherwise I wouldn’t go for an item that was 200 donuts.

  23. Thanks for the Should I Buy assessment. I was really tempted to get it because I thought it would help get more bonus track pieces. However, your assessment that it is insanely expensive really made me think for a second and realize that I was nuts. Also, the buyer’s remorse from commentators helped me finalize the decision to forego it.

    • Yes I’m exactly on the same page! Glad I came here first I was about an inch away from buying it…..

  24. One thing. You can speed up for only 2 donuts and get 350 blueprints. Very good way to get a lot of blueprints for few donuts after the 200 you spend.

  25. This should’e been one of the prizes in act 2 or 3. I bet a lot of people like the episode and want this building (myself included) but 200 donuts is insane. I pretty much drained my donuts during tapball buying Furious D and playing strictly freemium, I’m only back up to 88 donuts. Passing on this unfortunately.

  26. The view from across the pond : Weather sunny , woohoo . Shame about this item, really like it and it’s look but 200 sprinkles? Come on get real ! Also do you know what use it will be after event ends ? Must be cheaper ways to earn the blueprints.

  27. I bought this during a moment of temporary insanity brought on after a happy hour that turned into a happy night. I regretted it from the moment I hit the confirm button. It’s going into storage as soon as this event is over. The moral of this story is don’t drink and tap.

    • Did the same at the moment of panic when I thought my game is bugged (blueprints cap). Hopefully it will generate plastic and glass in further Acts to pay off (for extra monorail track pieces).

    • Amen, liquor is the devil’s work

  28. I’m passing on this one… especially because there’s no character or character interaction.. I tend to stay away from those types of buildings… now just waiting on the SIB for the Krusty station… I’m guessing acts 2 and 3 will bring more stations we can get with our sprinkles… lol 🙂

  29. No interest there but rather curious about the Krusty themed monorail station. Can we expect a “Should I buy” soon?

  30. I like it. I am busy during the nights at work so being able to get an extra 1050 blueprints is a blessing. My only quaff is where it goes. I wish I can put it in the SH area but nope.

    Oh well.
