Happy Friday! Woohoo it’s finally the weekend! (well as soon as 5pm rolls around…) But here I am up at just after 4am here on the East Coast because Act 3 (the final Act) of the Monorail is now live!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
Act 3 will start up with some dialogue from Sebastian Cobb…
Sebastian: The Monorail is almost complete. Now all we need are some bells and whistles.
Quimby: You mean unnecessary projects that provide opportunities for corrupt officials to skim a little of the top?
Sebastian: No, I literally need bells and whistles. We need a way to warn people before we hit them.
Quimby: That’s fine. I can skim off necessary projects as well.
New Prize Currency for Act 3..
Bell and Whistle
You’ll be awarded Bells and Whistles now for the Project Board, Clearing Possums and visiting neighbors (and clearing neighbor actions in your town). This also includes the 5 day Daily Combo, you will now get 5000 Bells and Whistles on the 5th consecutive day of play.
Possums +10
Clear “Garbage Stench”(Neighbor Tap) +1
Neighbor Visits are still +6 for a MAX of 90 Actions per 24hrs.
Daily Challenge Bonus
It’ll still happen for the Project Board, just like Act 1 and Act 2. Only now you’ll be awarded for completing actions.

3 Track Pack- 23,550
Mall-O-Rail Station Pieces- 42,950

Bonus Donuts
The bonus donut questline is back! This time it is Project Management: Glass! The questline will ONLY appear for 3 parts and then you’ll complete it. So you can only earn 6 donuts this round at most. But hey free donuts are free donuts! 😉
Act 3 Questline
No real questline for this act, as that hit the other day. BUT there is the Fast Track to Success questline that will appear. This essentially tells you to place the Mall-O-Rail Station and Station pieces as you earn them.
Bonus Track
Yes, once you complete the Act 3 Prize Track you’ll have the opportunity to earn bonus track again. And yes, the project board cap will be removed once you unlock all of the Act 3 prizes…
Act 2 Prizes
IF you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT TWO PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright by each one left at the point you left off at.
New Items in the Store
No new items were added TODAY, but a few items hit our stores yesterday. Check out this post for more details on those items…
Rail Yard Prizes
Note: Once you unlock and place the Railyard, the Project Board becomes obsolete. You will NOT be able to turn in items at the Project Board after you unlock and place the Rail Yard. This will only impact you when it comes to earning Bonus Track via collecting Bells and Whistles….but you’ll still get the bonus track described below via the Rail Yard.
This also eliminates the Daily Bonus. So once you’re in the Rail Yard you will no longer get the Daily Bonus…
Once you unlock the final Act 3 prize you’ll have a chance for even MORE prizes! Well more tracks….and free donuts
It looks like you’ll be given the chance to turn in items from the dump to the Rail Yard to make more mystery Track pieces…
It looks like you’ll be given the opportunity to earn more tracks and free donuts each week via the Rail Yard, which is great for players who were hoping to get more tracks after the event ends!
The bad news is you’ll still have to grind out tasks to earn materials to get tracks…
Just for those curious…looks like you can earn 16 track pieces + 5 donuts per week with the Rail Yard.
This is something we’ll cover more in depth in another post…for now just know that the option is there for more tracks after the event ends! So work hard to earn that Rail Yard before the event is over!

Something wierd going on in my Springfield… All of my main characters are gone, and it is allowing me to build the Simpson house and all of the other characters’ buildings, even though i already have them?!?!
Hard close and restart your game. You can also try going to krustyland and back. If it continues contact EA.
I am having the same issues! I am on with EA support right now and they are telling me to try blowing up my town…i’ve been playing for over 2 years, so I’m not about to do that.

I’m so relieved to here that there seems to be a way to earn pieces after the event because I got pretty bad luck on the bonus pieces and are in dire need of straight pieces. I earned quite a lot of them but mainly got curves in Act 2 so I’ve gotten quite nervous these last days if I can actually finish my planned course. Thanks for you’re great coverage on this event! It really helps a lot to be able to read up on this stuff!
That’s funny because I assumed all the bonus pieces were straight in both acts until the very last one I earned yesterday which was a curve. 15 straight pieces in a row!! I was so excited to learn that you could get more than just straight ones.
Actually, I like the curved pieces. Put them in a row and the train has to snake the trail, at a diagonal.
I agree – it’s the curved pieces I’m always waiting on to be able to continue my track. I get mostly straight pieces, by far!
I really want to finish, but because I missed so much I am quite far behind and I’m not sure I will be able to get the Rail Yard. :/ I am back at college(UK) on Monday so I’ll be behind for earning. Well, I missed a lot because of the crashing issue, and resultantly, I am behind on quests etc. because of it, so hopefully they could compensate me with the missed items, someone I spoke to said that they thought they could.
Act 3 has only just started, you can’t be that far behind 🙂
I was already in my game at 9am so had to go to the friends screen and back to kick off act 3. Already well on my way to the 2nd prize.
I’ve put the Mall-o-rail station in SH so it’ll end up on a separate track unless we’re eventually given a route through the mountains.
I was very happy to see the message about earning extra track and, more importantly, donuts!
I put mine there, too, but because off the serious lack of space in Springfield Heights, it looks like it’s just going to be a monorail-themed mail, rather than actually have tracks going to and from it. (And, boy, those ritzy residents of Springfield Heights are sure going to be annoyed that this new construction has brought possums into their pristine enclave!)
I know what you mean, maybe when the Monorail event is over we’ll get a bit more land in Springfield Heights. I’m hoping we don’t have to wait too long but I’ll try to be patient 😉
It did make me smile when I noticed some possums had made it through the tunnel earlier this week.
The day the monorail ends (15th September) more SH items come out so maybe more land??

To really tick off the rich folk, I think I might put Cletus’s station in Springfield Heights… I like Marge’s version best, she deserves to have it in her neighborhood.
Glass and plastic never opened. I see them in other towns. I assume that’s why I could never earn enough to cop the final prize in each act. Monorail has been a huge disappointment.
You need to do the questline to get that. In order to get the questline for glass you need to finish the one for plastic.

You earn Bells and Whistles when you do anything with the project board now instead of duct tape (that you earned in act 2) or blueprints (that you earned in act 1)
I still wasn’t able to unlock the glass recycle lot. Is that normal?
You need to do the questline to get that. In order to get the questline for glass you need to finish the one for plastic.
Good morning, Alissa! Thank you and Bunny and Wookie for all of your hard work and patience to help us out. Addicts blog is fantastic! I’m getting some connection issues, too. Not ‘Bart’ screen, but kicked out to ‘syncronize’ every few minutes. Will tap/wait/tap patiently until server issue works itself out. Thanks, again!
Any early gambits for project board shut-out limit daily? I’m assuming >12500 bells’on’whistles, and will post my approximate cap when I reach it…presently 4 grand and counting…
sitting at 15435 bells and whistles right now myself, and Sebastian Cobb hasn’t mentioned needing a rest, so I can still keep going. Assuming it’ll lock me out after the next job I plan to complete which is for another 1915 bells and whistles on top of what I already have. With that said, some of those are probably working on some of tomorrows allowance also.
I’m going with a daily cap of approx 15K bells’n’whistles…what say you..?
Sorry it took me a bit to respond back, was waiting for the materials to generate so I could finish the next project to see if it would be my final for the day so I could give you the final total of the day. Sebastian is finally tired, and I was able to obtain 17752 bells and whistles, and as I mentioned in my last message even before this project I surpassed the 15k mark, so not sure exactly what the cap is, maybe A/B/W can shed some light on this.
Thought I should add, that count is without neighbor visits, (sorry neighbors lol) just clearing my town when needed, collecting the possums, and doing projects
I had server issues too. All my neighbors were gone when I was about to visit them. After visiting Other Springfield they were back again, along with all neighbors who has stopped playing and that I had hidden, every single one of them were marked as “new” neighbors. I managed to unlock the new station but then I gave up because of the long loading times between neighbors and occasional Bart screens. Hopefully the servers will be better when I come back from work.

WOOHOO ! in one moment all our worries about extra track are eased . Just got to be certain to unlock the railyard .I don’t mind grinding after the event for extra track , the important thing is we have the choice to do it , when and if we want . Hi Alissa , you’re either up very early or you haven;t been to bed yet ,thanks for your dedication to helping us . Also hi to Sandra and thanks for accepting my friend request .To you Sandra and all my neighbouts , you.re welcome to come in but I’ve got the builders in and my Springfield is a mess at the moment .

No worries…I think this event has made a lot of out towns a bit messier! (I’m not sure how I’m feeling about some of the changes I’ve had to made to my town’s aesthetics to accommodate all of the track I’ve put in, either.)
I know what you mean , just spent ages doing my sporty/parky/ arena area . Left an area for the stunt pool , fenced with floodlights and two bleachers from tapball but I’m still not happy with it .I think the whole area is a bit too big . Check it out if you get the chance Sandra . The only bit I’m happy with is SH and the tapball stadium .
BigPhil – I did like your sporty space! I’m guessing you’re a sports fan IRL, given the amount of space you’ve devoted to it. (Guessing further that football is your favorite.)

Sandra , yup you’ve got me pegged just right . Arsenal Football Club , all my life . Love footie , rugby , ( rugby world cup starts here this month , woohoo ) motor racing , motorbike racing , you name it ,i like it . Biggest love is cricket , think it’s in the blood as one of my Grandma’s uncles played for England in the 1900.s . Not over familiar with American teams , seen NFL , but not much baseball basketball or ice hockey as they’re not covered so much over here ..I haven’t had the privilege of visisting the States yet . I would love to do a sports tour and take in a NFL .baseball . ice hockey and basketball match . I think if I do visit the States I would need at least six months and not even scratch the surface , it,s so big , can’t get my head round some of the states in the USA are bigger than England ! My brother did a week in Vegas for his 50th , sooo jealous . Do you see any UK sport Sandra ?
Well, I tried to read the rules for cricket once, because I had an Australian internet friend who was into it, and it made my head hurt, lol! And how can you play a game that can last for DAYS? But with all that said, I think I probably could relate to that better than to your football (soccer), the way I really relate to baseball over our football.
My husband played rugby in high school (and college), but that was long before I met him.
Overall, I don’t really watch a lot of sports. I enjoy minor-league baseball (in person, as long as the weather’s not too hot) and watching some of the Olympic-type sports (figure skating, gymnastics, etc.). As for doing sports, when I was a freshman in college I was on the junior varsity fencing team and I used to enjoy figure skating when I was more physically able and I played on a curling team for half a season. I’ve done a few other things here and there, but, all in all, I’m not really particularly sporty.

I had a super start !! the 5000 bonus hit today, and with all resources full, i took my first extra rail pack already. The extra tracks are great, but they just should add X and Y pieces.
Thats so awesome! Now I have to finish, was actually wondering if there would be a way to gain tracks afterwards. Even my much smaller alt town isn’t even circled halfway through yet. Just wish there were tracks that could go over the mountains like the loading screen..
