Who would have thought that the most requested event (Monorail) would bring back the most requested building (the Mapple Store)? Now I know you may be trying to decide if this is worth YOUR donuts, but don’t sweat it! We’re here to tell you what’s worth the donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Mapple Store to your Springfield? Well now that Act 3 is in full effect let’s take a look at the pros and cons of adding this limited-time returning store to your Springfield.

The Mapple Store Leaves Stores on September 10th…
Pros:
-Returning item from TSTO Past (Christmas 2012) that if you missed you can now pickup
-Earns a decent amount of income
-Adds a 5hr job for Homer, Lisa & Ned to “Browse the Mapple Store” (which earns $200, 50xp)
Cons:
-Was previously free when initially released during Christmas 2012
-Expensive for what it is/what it does
-Not exactly a “high design” building. It’s a pretty simplistic square

Here’s the deal with the Mapple Store….because it was originally released back in 2012 (the very first TSTO Christmas) and has never made a comeback in the game, it’s one of those highly coveted buildings. Many Tappers have wanted (and requested it) for years. So if you’re one of those Tappers who has wanted it and coveted it for so long…get it. Because you don’t know when/if it will be making a comeback.
However, from a practical standpoint…it’s one of those “eh” buildings. It does add a task for 3 characters (which is nice) and earns a decent amount, but I do think the donut price is way to high for this one. It would have been better if it was priced in the 60-70 donut range..but I’m not surprised at it’s high cost considering how many players have been wanting it.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do, and personally (if I didn’t already own it (for free)) this is probably something I’d pass on. But it’s really hard to know for sure since I’ve had it for so long. I’m sure if I saw it in neighbor’s towns for 2 years I’d probably want it too… However, this IS a limited-time item. So if you’re thinking about getting it make sure you make your final decision before it leaves our games (September 10th)

I have seen how so many people wanted this building but I have never really wanted. Once it was released and I saw it, I had to have it. It’s simple but I love the design of it. Plus it was pay day ^_^
I can’t be sure about this because I got it during Christmas 2012 (and this was before I started my second town), but I read that it was added to the store for 90 donuts following Christmas, like Barney’s Bowlarama, and the Try-n-Save, but was removed from the store upon the games release on android.
Honestly I don’t remember either. I got it for free myself…
I’ve wanted this for a while (been playing about 18 months), but I was still hesitant, mainly because the donut price was so high.
I bought Blocko when it was available recently, and this seems comparable to that.
I had been saving donuts for a while, and had about 125 available – was on the verge of buying Otto when this popped up. I did but it (Otto will still be there in a couple months)not and placed it been Blocko and the Aztec Theatre.
I’m almost sporty they brought this back. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m happy that it’s making so many people so happy to finally be able to get it. But I always liked that it was a way of knowing which of my neighbors were hard-core TSTO long-timers.
Of course, I probably would have felt differently if it were priced at 60 donuts, because then I think in would have picked one up myself! But I totally agree with your assessment in this SIB, so it will allllmost definitely be a pass for me.
I caved and bought it. Is it worth it? Probably not lol but it replaced a duplicate building, so will add some diversity to my game. Also bought the old mare, not a bad price for a %2 bonus, compared to 30 donut items often only adding %.75. But I mostly bought it to put in my castle area from clash of clones. It fits well with how I have things arranged, windmill, hay wagons and the chicken coup?
I bought this right away. My husband has had this since the initial release and now I’m so happy to have it in my town.
I always would see this item in most of my neighboureenos’ towns and just wish i would come back around aaaand it did! XD Bought it in a flash.

Eons ago I was aghast when my brother convinced my 75+ yr old mother to buy an Apple (it was so easy to use) yet everyone in the family (who could help her with a computer) had a Windows pc. For years she struggled yet upgraded it three times (?!?!) until right before her death at 88 (really, she scanned Ebay everyday) coming up on six years ago. I bought it and will put it in my SH in her honor.

I went ahead and splurged even though I agree it’s a bit overpriced for what it does. I’d been holding off on spending money on donuts since the 4th of July stuff, so this seemed like a good excused to pick up some donuts. I also got Crazy Cat Lady and Rich Texan. I’m going to try and save the rest for Halloween since I’m hoping they bring back a lot of the stuff for that which I’ve been wanting.
I’m still hoping to hear about the ants before they go away.

I have been thinking about this one for a while, and then finally decided to buy this. I like it. I bought 300 donuts, so got this, the krusty station and bumblebee man, to put me back to my original amount of donuts.
I’ll pass on this one. For me, the past items I want the most are Kumiko and Booberella.

I have this building since a few years ago when playing on a IPhone 3gs. Unfortunately , my PC broke down and I could not do a firmware upgrade to the iPhone and tsto can no longer run subsequently. I started to play the game again after I got an android phone.
I got this way back when. I don’t know if I would pay for it now, but I have to mention that it looks much better when animated (when the doors open and the Mapple logo lights up). Mine sits between Spiffany’s and the Blocko store in the high end shopping district and will be moving to SH once I get space cleared up there.
Passed. I already have a five star consumerism rating, and this is too high of a price for what it does.
I’m saving ALL my donuts for the upcoming TREEHOUSE OF HORROR event 😀
As a PC user who none-the-less loves his iTunes (for Win-d’Ohs), iPod, and iPad, I had to buy the Mapple store for my game.
As another player mentioned, my on-iPad-played game now feels complete.

Well, I guess not entirely… I still want to get Burn’s Money Pool, Springfield Falls, Kumiko, and some of the Whacking Day items, and I THEN my Missed-Item Wish List will be fulfilled.

It was my first Halloween last year and as a freemium newbee had no idea of how to earn donuts for free…so alot of saving since then and of course picking up so many tips from the tsto addicts and community here I could actually enough now! Bring on the horror lol ☆☆☆

You would have loved Halloween 2012. In order to get the event currency, you had to squish zombies that wandered around your town, and they’d sometimes attack some Springfielders! Something like what the little rigellians did last year, but MUCH cooler.
During one episode tie-in event, EA brought back Maude and the Fortune House for 25 donuts!
This turned out to be a mistake and more than a few (including myself) were unable to “cash” in on this “sweet” deal before “the man”–I mean “the corp”–threw in a patch to adjust the price. I think it was set to 6× higher.

Hey, at least this way they can financially benefit from mentioning Apple products in the game! And I totally bought this. Couldn’t pass it up.
Now just waiting for Springfield Falls, Guinea Pig Rescue, and Kumiko. If they bring those three back, I’ll feel complete. Until the next cool thing they offer…
I passed on this one but I am SOOO jealous of my neighbours who have the Guinea Pig Rescue!
Bought it! Because I’m will regret it if I wouldn’t get it.
This is the first thing I’ve passed on in this game. I now have everything, except the Wacking Day prizes since I started my account on the last day of the event. And the Krustystation expanses but that was a financial thing and if I’m gonna miss something, those are no loss (as of the monorail stations aren’t big enough).
But this is the only thing I really just don’t want. I love the fact that there isn’t one Walmart in NYC, my Springfield will have no Apple.
I went to buy the Krustystation the other day, but missed it. I’d forgotten it wasn’t available for the entire event. I’m not horribly bummed out by it no longer being available, so it’s probably not too much of a loss, really. I totally bought the Mapple Store, though. Go figure.

After two years as a premium player, I went Freemium last January. I’ve had to pass up so many cool things this year, but I have always had some reserve donuts specifically in hopes that the Mapple store would return. I love Apple, I play TSTO on an iPad and now my game feels whole.
When reading this my only thought was: x-mas 2012? You mean that I’ve been playing this game for more than three years :-O that’s crazy! (Yes I got the building back when it was free and wouldn’t spend dougnuts on it if I hadn’t)

I’m tempted to get this, not because I want it that bad but because it hasn’t been in the game for 3 years and who know if it will ever come back. Also, with the game giving players the chance to craft donuts with the Rail Yard I don’t feel as concerned about spending them as I used to.
I’m someone who hates all things apple but still couldn’t resist buying this! I really need to get out more ; -)
It was one of the few items I’d seen in other neighbourhoods and wanted. I thought if it (ever) comes back, I would picked it up with my in-game earned donuts. No regret, here!
Probably the only item which I did not grab when I could have, and mildly regret for not buying, is the Cool Brown House with Hipster Homer.
Alas, again, Akira will have to wait.
I want the twirl and hurl and kudos. Mapple I think I’m getting caught up in the buying frenzy when I don’t much want it.
