Many times we state we only put up Spoilers when we feel there is a specific need or good reasoning behind it. The main issue is EA can, has, and will change their minds on us and the information when it goes live may be different then initially “teased” to us. Well, I think this is one of those times that we can put some up. 🙂
That being said, I also know MANY of you just want to get an idea of what Buildings, Characters, and Decorations may be coming up on the remaining Black Friday to Cyber Monday Sales. I have compiled a list of those “teased” items, just beware these are indeed Spoilers and due to early release on the info… what you actually see in YOUR game may vary on item and timing. Always double check YOUR list that pops up in YOUR game for the most accurate information on how these sales will play out for YOU. 🙂
ON WITH THE SALES!!!
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
First up… the main idea of these sales…
- These are items you do NOT already have in your game OR they are items that you may be able to get more than one of (like a Premium Tree). If you already have the item in your game, you will see skipped blocks of time where the item would have been. If you have ALL the items already, you may not even see a Sales list at all… or a very very limited one.
- These sales are based on YOUR Region and time zones, so I will not be listing time frames as there will be too many variables. Check YOUR game for the times of release for YOUR Sales.
- This is a list based off of the information at time of this post. EA can change that information at anytime before the Sales go live in your game.
- You will still have to pay the FULL Donut Price of each item, then you will get the Donut Rebate amount back with purchase. So make sure you have the FULL Price worth of Donuts in your game or you will not be able to purchase the items.
- EA general start time is 8GMT (3AM EST).

So, by the way it’s listed here, it looks like the teleporters DO come as a pair (30 net donuts for the two together), which is great! But, can you get more than one set, or are they unique? If you can get more than one set, how do you set them up?
Guess I’m seething an alarm to get up at 6am to get Dr. Nick. With my luck, it will repeat at 6pm, but my in-game list doesn’t go out that far and I can’t risk it. 🙁 But I can’t wait to hear him say, “Hello, everybodyeee!” 🙂
I hope we get a couple of weeks of before the Christmas event starts…need time to go through at least one or two questlines for some stuff acquired during this sale. (Also, I still have some designing stuff to catch up on from the past couple of events…haven’t had time to properly place done of that stuff, and such.)
Thanks for this post, Bunny… This is the one kind of spoiler that I really want to have! I don’t know how one could avoid losing out in something good without this info (especially if you’re all or mostly freemium, so you have to figure out the best timing, taking into consideration the whole “rebate” approach, etc.).
I think Dr Nick’s sayings are the best in the game. IMO he’s worth paying full price for, but at a discount he’s a no-brainer. Enjoy!
Would a second pair of transporters work? I love the ones I purchased. Wish Swanky Fish and Larimie vending machine would come back too.

I’ve been waiting some snakes for my town! I started that year and missed out on the snakes. I like the characters through each tasks that you have to tap to get xp etc. Like to see them in the game afterwards.

I got the the Lisa Lionheart Display, but when I clicked on it, instead if talking, it made some kind of grunting sound and then made a sound like walking through mud, and so did the Malany Stacy Mansion that I got when it first came out.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it a glitch with the last update.

I did try to do a search but couldn’t find anything about Frink’s robot dog. I really like it and always regretted not getting it the last time it was available. Is it worth it? Does it do anything?

Most of these are nothing more than Decorations with a lil animation. Think of the Dog to be just like Santa’s Little Helper, a walking decoration or NPC. We won’t know if anything more has really changed on them until they go live and can verify them as they hit new.

Personally I don’t see the hype about the teleporters nowadays. For even remotely recent players, if you did the monorail event, we got the task board and the Rail Yard which basically serve the same purpose, just put those way across town from each other and boom, got a teleporter, albeit its one way only, but still, does the same thing, and free.
Some people may have missed that Event… or didnt get to the point of winning the Rail Yard… so for them it may be worth it. 😉
True, I feel bad for the completely newer-to-TSTO player that completely missed that event, losing out on all those free bonuts each week. Sure its “only” 5, but it adds up.
not a huge fan of doing railyard just for donuts, realized it was just tedious and wasted my time for 250 donuts/year…that is only worth around $10 worth of donuts…my time is worth more than that if i was purely doing it for the donuts
It’s a lot more than $10 worth, for people like me who can’t afford to buy anything larger than a truckload, at most. For me, even with the Amazon Coins discount, each donut is worth $0.056, so it’s more like $14 worth.
I try not to do the math too much, though, because then I realize that, for example, Stu’s Disco, which I kind of do want, would cost me almost $6, so I may pass. If I don’t get it (and assuming I do get the teleporters, I will have gotten Coach/YMCA, Luann/factory, French Waiter, Dr. Nick, and the teleporters all without purchasing any donuts! (If I had it do to over, I might have gotten Stu instead of Coach, but, when Coach came out I was so impressed with all of the prices, that I had big dreams of getting a whole bunch more stuff. But then I made the mistake of starting to do the math, lol!)
That’s all I’m doing it for also, and now that you’ve done the math, doesn’t seem worth it as you said. I just fear some day I’ll want a timed item from the shop and with my luck be 5-10 donuts short. Every bit helps.

it’s hardly any effort to set those rail yard tasks, especially if you’re in the game tapping stuff multiple times a day already. now, if you were talking about how long it takes to visit 100 neighbors each day, that would be a different story…..
300% agree with that, I’m in my game regularly, but after the first few months of playing, visiting neighbors feels like more of a chore. (Sorry Neighbors lol) I know you occasionally get a donut drop from visits, but aside from events, it doesn’t seem like an incentive for the time it takes.
A) As you say, it’s only one way.
B) The jobs board is an integral part of my center design. I don’t want to stick it up in Springfield Heights!
$1.68 is worth it to me to be able to relieve some aggravation!
Agree with all those points, however I think (I could be wrong, have been wrong before) the exchange rate for donuts in canada is more expensive than that…although didn’t realize it would be that cheap either, is that after using scratchers?
Unless you happen to get lucky, Scratch-Rs offer the second worst return donut on your money. I would never use it as a primary way to buy donuts, but it’s fun to gamble every once in a while! Also, I always buy donuts through my Kindle (even if I’m going to go spend them using my iPad). You get a 10-20% discount buying the Amazon Coins, and that’s what you use to buy the donuts. So, I think I was doing my validation based on the discounted rate, but I don’t remember for sure. Basically, I use a $.056 per donut metric to determine the “real world” costs for these items. Lots of times I’ll be tempted to get a second-tier character or building or something, and then I’ll do the calculation and say to myself, “Would I really spend $7.48 to buy that in a “store”?
Yes! Teleporters! 🙂 They still haven’t fixed the ready-at-the-city-dump icon, so at least for me it’ll still be extremely useful for toing and froing between SH and the other end of my SF. Plus at 40% off it’s a fair deal.
Oh, not saying its not a good deal on them. Definitely is, just thought the free monorail pieces, which were similar in ability were just as good. Tapebelt actually opened my mind to them however, as they are instantaneous and no scrolling motion, and two-way. If only I had the donuts lol.

I dunno, depending on the time of day, my scrolling seems to go at a snail pace. Too many members + the monorail lagging the servers I’m guessing.
the teleporters are instantaneous, while the task board slowly scrolls you across your town until you reach the rail yard. it also looks good out in front of the central station, like an old school train schedule kiosk, so i’m not trying to move that anywhere else. the teleporters, on the other hand, i plan to never leave in a permanent place, instead using them where i see fit, most often during events when i want to jump between two places to set tasks, like the recycling centers for the rail yard projects and wherever i have the main building that sets event tasks.
if you aren’t hyped about them, that’s cool. but it’s a rarity in this game for an item to provide a unique change in gameplay, serving a purpose other than to provide a payout or multiply one’s bonus. plus it still looks cool, which is crucial to any premium decoration purchase! 😎
Definitely see your point there. Wasn’t really meaning they are useless, just thought they served the same purpose. Not against them as an item at all, and now that I know they are instant as opposed to scroll, I may end up buying them myself. Downside being thanks to the BF sales moths are currently flying out of my wallet, and down to 32 donuts. Wish I had waited, but like what I was able to pick up during the sale at least.
I started playing i think during the event. I only had the chance to do act 3. I wasn’t able to get the railyard. I couldn’t get enough materials in time.
That sucks, kinda know how you feel, when I started was the middle of the Stonecutters event, and some of the skins that were “free” at the time, I couldn’t get, as I didn’t have the character. Now if they come around again, will more than likely have to open my wallet to complete my Stonecutter set 🙁 I know, not as hurtful as missing the railyard, but I can definitely sympathize
My town’s getting kinda big now. I’ve got a habit of starting all of my character/building collections in the top-left and my recycling bits/railyard are down in the bottom-right.
The teleporters will make it so much easier to jump between the 2 – mainly for the dump which doesn’t give an icon in the screen’s top-left.
My task board is sitting in SH which has its uses too.
Basically, the teleporters will make playing the game easier and therefore more fun. Well worth 30 donuts!
It says they’ll be available for three hours. Just run to the restroom with your phone, log on real quick, and buy them sometime in that three hours.
I’m having a problem with the Lisa Lionheart Statue,
In the past in other towns clicking on her made her talk, but now that I got her she makes a grunting sound and then makes a sound like she is stomping through mud,
is this just me, or did the last update mess up the sound?
Is anyone else having this problem?
I don’t have the LLH Statue, but something similar is happening to my Sir Hugs Alot bear, he only says one thing, then static when tapped again. Been happening for months now.
When I visited a Bunny’s town a long while back she had it on display, but not anymore, and clicking on it made it talk.
I checked my sir Hugs-a-Lot and he only says “I love you” and I don’t get that static you are getting.
Could be a corrupt sound byte file maybe. I know I recently had to reinstall TSTO for an unrelated reason, tried my Sir-Hugs-Alot just now, and it does the same as you. Before, I would just hear a static like sound on the second tap. For some reason I always thought SHA said a couple phrases, guess I was wrong.
Dangit, I was off Firefox clicked back to this window and it liked my comment again lol. Wasn’t even near the “like” link.

Ahh maybe thats what I was thinking of, I thought he said something more than just “I love you”, guess they took out that sound byte? Mine may have been corrupt for a time after they removed it, so was looking for the second soundbyte that no longer exists. Doesn’t seem to do it anymore, just the ILY, and no static sound.
When i found out i tapped him like thirty times coz I loved hearing him say that… It is a pity it’s gone tho….

I found out what the sound glitch was, even thought I thought it was far apart, I had the Lisa Lionhart Statue too close to the Sporting event equipment so when I clicked the statue, i was activating the “Tire Obstacle” sounds, so I moved them around and the statue talks now.
Maybe you have a similar problem, try moving your “Hugs A Lot” bear someplace else and see if you still, have the same problem.
I goofed in my calculations and will only be able to choose between Sherri & Terri or Akira now rather than grabbing both. Which do all y’all recommend?
I’d pick Akira out of those two, comes with a building, and creates plants. S&T do neither of those things.

I’d go with the twins.
When kids are needed they usually give you additional points. I love Akira. But if you are looking for characters that would be used the most… Go with the twins.
If you are mostly concerned with decorating possibilities for your town, Akira. Free bonsai trees have opened up some fun possibilities all over my town. Plus, he comes with a building. You can place it on land or on squidport (last I checked) and it’s compact but looks very nice.
If you are mostly concerned about event type things or cashflow, Sherri & Terri. As premium children, they’re always helpful during Halloween, and sometimes other events. They earn a lot of cash, too, as they’re an expensive two-in-one character. Also, the majority of their tasks are visual, if that’s important to you at all. (Akira has two visual tasks, which you may not see much of if you want him cranking out bonsai.)
Just looking for re-assurance… If I miss Stu’s Disco at 2 am EST, it’ll come back around later, right?
Each block comes in two waves, so if you miss the first wave, you may be able to catch the 2nd. You can always use your game as a guide to see how far out the next batch of items are to know how long you have.
Disco Stu, Luann, Dr. Nick, and Sherri & Terri for me. Those characters seem to be the most involved when it comes to major/minor in-game events. Will seem to be the most useful, imo.
Definitely want those teleporters, and maybe the HMV as well.
Wish they’d brought in some other limited-time things. Springfield Falls and the Devil Donut cart are high on my want list.
Thanks Bunny, this is the best TSTO help website usually I don’t like to know in advance because it spoils the surprise, like sneaking a look at your Christmas presents but I really wanted to know this time before I spent my donuts at the sales and the way it is very clearly signposted so you can look or not is great.
I was up at 6am the other day and Sideshow Mel was up for grabs. Looking at the list and the times that everything was on offer, I sleepily grabbed it rather than try to wake up in the middle of the night in the future (or have to bring my iPad to work and walk to the coffee shop for wi-fi). Turns out, that and French Waiter were pretty much exactly what I my 155 donuts combined for. I’d have loved Dr. Nick and Akira, but would have needed 5 mo’ donuts. So everything came up Roam-D!

Got Cracker Factory & Luann early this morning. 6am here. Had to set an alarm, but its Sat here so I went back to bed for another couple hours. lol.

Are you going to give us a little “should you buy” on the items that haven’t already been done? ie specifically the Cyber monday.
There are should I buy posts for nearly everything but a few limited-time items that hit before this site existed. I won’t have time to do SIB posts on them because they require an evaluation of each prize…I may do a quick rundown on the ones that don’t have a post, but that’ll be it. For the Cyber Monday deal, yes a SIB will be done since that’s brand new.
Well if this is true I would like to buy Frinks robot dog :3 since frink was my 1st premium character I bought n my favorite.
Thinking about buying Rancho Relaxo later on. Does the Kwik-E-Mart come with anything special? Or is RR fine?

I like Rancho Relaxo. Don has two visual tasks, talk with his hands, 12 hr and relax with his cat, 4hr. I could be remembering the times wrong but I think that’s right. I can’t remember him being useful for any events so far though. I still like him.
I don’t have too high of hopes for the new headquarters to be very useful. But we will see.
