Many times we state we only put up Spoilers when we feel there is a specific need or good reasoning behind it. The main issue is EA can, has, and will change their minds on us and the information when it goes live may be different then initially “teased” to us. Well, I think this is one of those times that we can put some up. 🙂
That being said, I also know MANY of you just want to get an idea of what Buildings, Characters, and Decorations may be coming up on the remaining Black Friday to Cyber Monday Sales. I have compiled a list of those “teased” items, just beware these are indeed Spoilers and due to early release on the info… what you actually see in YOUR game may vary on item and timing. Always double check YOUR list that pops up in YOUR game for the most accurate information on how these sales will play out for YOU. 🙂
ON WITH THE SALES!!!
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
First up… the main idea of these sales…
- These are items you do NOT already have in your game OR they are items that you may be able to get more than one of (like a Premium Tree). If you already have the item in your game, you will see skipped blocks of time where the item would have been. If you have ALL the items already, you may not even see a Sales list at all… or a very very limited one.
- These sales are based on YOUR Region and time zones, so I will not be listing time frames as there will be too many variables. Check YOUR game for the times of release for YOUR Sales.
- This is a list based off of the information at time of this post. EA can change that information at anytime before the Sales go live in your game.
- You will still have to pay the FULL Donut Price of each item, then you will get the Donut Rebate amount back with purchase. So make sure you have the FULL Price worth of Donuts in your game or you will not be able to purchase the items.
- EA general start time is 8GMT (3AM EST).

Kwik-E-Mart Central Office will arrive in your game after some dialog for purchase of 145 Donuts. Per info we see, it is set to stay for 24hrs 48hrs . Will confirm once it hits our games on Cyber Monday (11/30).

Oh there are so many things I want!!! But since I’m sitting with 85 donuts, I’m going to control myself & wait for Christmas. It’s just so darn hard. This may be the first Black Friday sale for anything that I’ve said no to, lol!

I’ve just purchased Akira for 70 donuts!! I’m more than happy and I cannot wait for getting bonsai trees!
Just picked up the Clamphitheater for my beachfront. It might someday live on the big beach in Springfield Heights, but I’d need to rearrange some things first. Anyway, I think it looks nice by my Up, Up and Buffet.
Since I can only get one, should I get Akira or Sherri/Terri? I’m indecisive.
If you are mostly concerned with decorating possibilities for your town, Akira. Free bonsai trees have opened up some fun designs all over my town. Plus, he comes with a building. You can place it on land or on squidport (last I checked) and it’s compact but looks very nice.
If you are mostly concerned about event type things or cashflow, Sherri & Terri. As premium children, they’re always helpful during Halloween, and sometimes other events. They earn a lot of cash, too, as they’re an expensive two-in-one character. Also, the majority of their tasks are visual, if that’s important to you at all. (Akira has two visual tasks, which you may not see much of if you want him cranking out bonsai.)
But you also have to factor in that The Happy Sumo gives Ralph a premium 3-hour task.

If I had enough donuts, I would have gotten Sherri and Terri for 150 donuts before rebate because they’re profitable… But I only had 105 donuts left after perhaps unfortunately getting Milhouse’s mom (I felt sorry for the orphan, but he was probably better off without her! she’s disturbing). Fortunately, Akira and The Happy Sumo fit just within my budget for 100 donuts before rebate and he was on my wish list also. Fortunately for Milhouse, I also recently got his dad and his dad’s apartment building for coinage. His dad may be cash poor and rather distracted but he’s not quite as bad as his wife for small children and other living things. I think. Milhouse really needs to be adopted by a better family. He’s basically raising himself.
Does Barney and the bowling alley (250 donuts) ever go on sale?!? I only use earned donuts so collecting them tends to be slow. Halloween was quite a bonanza, donut-wise, and the free donuts on Thanksgiving made Akira possible.
You made me laugh. Poor Milhouse indeed, though.
I got Barney during last year’s black Friday sale. It was 55 donuts back from the 250.
Even with that discount I would probably not have got Barney (it’s only 22%). Only got the very expensive Disco Stu because the discount was so good this time (about 42% off).
Do we ever get a chance to purchase donuts at discounted prices?

Duh-oh!!! I spent my precious donuts on the Powells House thinking I would get Laura POWERS… So dissapointed I splurged for nothing. Don’t even have the Powell character.

Don’t worry, you’ve got a money earning building which is always useful for the cash flow. As for Luann, she’s also been helping you earn over the past few months. Always go for what you want, when you want. I played the Sideshow Bob event really badly and had my heart set on the Homer decoy decoration which I ended up buying with over 100 doughnuts as I ran out of event time to earn it with event currency. It was a rash purchase and added no cash, XP or bonus % but I love it and haven’t regretted it once. I let my 8 year old nephew look through my town (he can’t wait to play when he’s old enough), and the thing that he immediately focused on and laughed out loud at was the decoy. So worth it! I think your purchases were fine too. 🙂

I’ve fallen into the EA trap of the rebate deal. It’s better to have a discount instead of having to pay the whole amount up front… Good deal for them bad deal for us!
Im struggling with S H, meaning that i want to get to 1B asap 😂 so i got all the premium charaters who help with that, i would have liked to buy on rebate those who help with the monorail but i guess they’ll have me spend more money in the future.

frink , jasper and teen guy ( hilarious and very helpful for various events and of course SH); uter and lampwick ( great surprises !!!!!)

After that i will be satisfied.( and poor).

Are there any tips for speeding the SH process without using donuts?( i mean is there a system for earninng the resources and upgrading the buildings ? Or is it random and you just gotta do it?

I think there are no shortcuts, but what I found very helpful was having Bumblebee Man. Basically I only used him for getting the statues, the others use double the (very valuable) resources.
I just bought the film set and McBain. Unfortunately McBain seems to be MIA. I stored the film set, and when I go into inventory the film set is under the Characters section, but no McBain. I tried all the usual fixes, but no luck. Guess I’ll be contacting EA. Has anyone else seen this?
McBain is just a skin for Rainier Wolfcastle. Use your City Hall to find Rainier Wolfcastle.

Can’t decide which to buy, disco Stu because it seems such a bargain and does help with heights, or terri and sherri as they often are involved in events and I would normally rule them out as being too expensive…
It’s really personal preference as to which character you like more. But all things equal, I’d personally choose Disco Stu on the basis of the fact that’s he’s 42% off compared to 27% for the twins. As well, he comes with a building.
Getting Stu, you’ll get 75 donuts back, which is already half the amount required for the twins at regular price. If you get the twins, you’ll get 40 donuts back which is not even a quarter of what would be required to get Stu at regular price.

On the “Should I buy” page Akira & the Happy Sumo, one of the CONs is ” No Character Interaction after questline” Players seem to be talking about daily/hourly tasks he can do so I’m a bit confused.
Does the restaurant keep paying out after the quest and does Akira still have tasks to earn money and Bonsi trees?
Yes, the restaurant does earn money, and Alira does have tasks. However, his tasks are not tied/associated/interacting with other characters, so he is a stand alone character after his quest line is what it’s referring to I believe.
Yes, Akira can make bonsai as many times as you like. Also, a permanent job for Ralph was added at the Happy Sumo since that article was posted.
I think the hourly task is only for those who don’t quite complete the questline so they can keep sending people to the premium building every hour. This is not something I myself have done.
I think it’s also that when he first came out he had no 1hr task but they have recently given him one.
Yes to both. No character interaction just means he didn’t interact with any other characters.
Desperately wanted Akira and saved up the donuts, then realised today im only level 41 -item unlocks at level 44? I invested 5 donuts into 24h of the xp collider (I figure it’s justified due to rebate on Akira and the gained donuts as I level) and now im grinding out xp trying to get to 44 in time! Wish me luck!!

You don’t have to be at level 44 to purchase him during this sale. Your purchase will be kept in your inventory until you achieve the appropriate level. My sister who is at a lower level had a similar issue, but was able to purchase the item.

I could be wrong, but I thought you could buy something your not up to the proper level for, but it will just stay locked in your inventory until you get there, no?

I got the Powell mansion, but no Herb?
Herb doesn’t come with Powell mansion, he comes with Powell Motors. You just purchased his house alone.
Hen cones with his company, not his house. When you’re thinking of buying something, look at the picture…if you don’t see the character/skin standing next to the building, then the character/skin isn’t included.
I’m so glad I didn’t buy the Powell mansion then, I would’ve expected a character to come with it. It looked too expensive just to be a building.
I was a little upset that I missed it, but now I’m quite relieved 😀
I missed SLH because of the timing. Is it odd that I would’ve rather gotten Santa’s Little Helper, even though he only runs around town, than Luann and her Cracker Factory and Pita-Fleet? Still, at least Milhouse has his Mum back and I have a complete set. 🙂
Here’s hoping that we’ll see some good deals for Barney, Scorpio, and the Duffman in the not too distant future.
just had disco stu and his disco come up – I had to get it 105 donuts down for the 180 makes him worth grabbing ( I am trying so hard to get 250 donuts for barneys bowlerama but this was too good to pass up)
Yep it was an easy decision once the rebate was confirmed as 75 donuts; a great saving. Had enough donuts remaining to get Dr Nick and still 50 of my 220 left over to spend on the transporters if they appear tomorrow. Really happy with Gil’s deals this time!
Nice, but personally I think Barney is overpriced, I got him and I barely use him. Also, the Bowlarama is quite small, so I think Disco Stu is well better, just my opinion though.
I love Barney and some of his outside tasks are hilarious. Also, once I’ve got characters I tend to forget how much I spent on them, I tend to judge them all as if they cost the same.
Being reminded how much Barney costs I would agree with you, Disco Stu is better value. Frankly though, Springfield wouldn’t be complete without either of them.

Sherri & Terri have been part of many past events, could be very useful going forward. But not voiced and no building. If you go for objectives in events, seriously consider them.
Disco Stu is complete opposite (not really in any events, voiced, building). But if you like him as a character as I do, go for it.
I’m skipping Akira, just personal opinion he is kinda lame (Yay, free bonsai every 36 hrs… #sarcasm). Maybe you could get both if you skip him too? 😉

I really like Akira and the Happy Sumo, and not just for his bonsai making. I like his sushi-selling animation, the building fits nicely in the town and provides some diversity, it gives Ralph a 3-hour premium task, and I wouldn’t want to live in a town where I couldn’t get some sushi from time to time! 😉 He’s also well-priced.
I thought you were gonna say that you don’t want to live in a town without Asians. heh. I know I don’t! 🙌 Now if we could just get Kumiko!!
IMO I would go for Sherri and Terri if I had to decide. They have several visible tasks. They earn double premium rate what makes them a good choice for a stand “alone” character. Plus more kids, always helpful on Xmas or helloween events.
Disco Stu might be the better bargain, has fun outdoor tasks, anyway the girls are a great addition!
But they don’t really earn double the premium rate…they earn exactly the same as any two premium characters, which is what they are and how they’re priced. If they were priced like one character, then it would be fair to say they earn double, but, the way they’re sold, you might as well buy two other premium kids for the same effect (and, in some cases, less money, if you ignore this sale). That said, they’re on sale and others aren’t, so they might be a good buy to get right now. (Personally, I opted for French Waiter and Dr. Nick, instead… I’ve wanted Dr. Nick since I started playing this game and French Waiter was so cheap and I’d heard good things about him.)

Ok so I just bought Luanne this morning. I have 107 donuts left to spend. Any recommendations? I don’t have disco stu, Otto, nor bumblebee man and they often are helpful in events. I really like Manjula and belle but Springfield gorge is a classic but I missed the 5 corners and other desert items. I have the space for something really big. I’ve been playing as often as device space and crashes allow since game first came out. Ugh. I am so conflicted…… Save donuts for Christmas or cyber Monday or spend them
