Enjoying the Event so far? Gettting the hang of what to do in the town yet for Act Two? Lots of cool new stuff hitting the games… and more still to come. I know I am excited!!
WINTER IS HERE!!
Before Sandra and BigPhil start yelling at me, better get the Calendar up, right? Bunch of demanding lil brats! (Psshhh you know I love yah!) Well here is your WORST. CALENDAR. EVER! BAH! HUMBUG!! 😉 😛

EVENT CALENDAR STARTING 12/20/15, DAY 2 OF ACT 2
As per usual, I will be starting the Calendar one day AFTER the Act releases so you can factor in time you will need to send Characters on tasks, get Buildings, and fully launch the New Event. I will also be stopping it the night BEFORE the Act ends, as it will give you enough time to focus on all the other last minute stuff.
Again, do not panic. Remember that it is slow going at first so you may “appear” to be behind, but as you progress you will start to see that you are getting more and more and more each day. So just go at a pace that fits you, but remember the more you play the more you will get. These are totals you want to reach by the end of each day if possible.
Now you have a basic daily breakdown for 13 days based off of approximately 2712
Mistletoes a day.
ACT TWO PRIZES
Here’s the rundown of the prizes available during Act 2 that you can win by just playing the game and collecting Mistletoe.

BONUS ROUND?
YES! The “BONUTS” (Bonus Donuts) keep on coming. Once you have collected the 35250 Mistletoe needed for the Personal Prizes, you then will get the chance to earn some more for a Bonus Gift.
My Bonus Gift Rounds were 4000 Mistletoe
Once you reach the 4000Mistletoe , the 3 Donut Box Pop Up will appear and you have a 1 in 3 chance to tap a box and get 3 Donuts. If you do not get the 3 Donuts, you can pay $150,000 to try again until you get the 3 Donuts you want.
There you have it. A Calendar of Mistletoe just for my fav Tot, lee, ryan, and my penpal in Cali. Oh and I suppose the rest of you just might want to peak at it too. It may come in handy or something. 😉

Uhhhhhh… I don’t really need building EA (I got no space and I have like 8 task to do now 😞). I’d rather have different stuff. I need more $$$ for more land 😛. Oh, and since I leveled up again, Krustyland Quest just popped up and took even more space 😳.

Tapping at my neighbors is now only paying out FP. What’s going on with that? Aren’t we supposed gain bows and/or holly-mistletoe?
Not if it’s less than 24hrs since you used up all your visits. Regardless if it switched acts or not… 24hr reset is still in place.
Frustrated that there are not enough merrymen to tap. Play all day and still have a hard job meeting the targets

Good point. I bought some “mistletoe” lights after Christmas last year and finally put them up. They have red colored berry lights on them. Is it just that Mistletoe beats Holly (as a word) on Christmas recognizability? Maybe people are getting dumber.
I haven’t thought too hard about this, but for the gifts…wouldn’t we all be better off to agree to drop them off as “nice” and pick them up as “naughty”? It would help to coordinate with specific neighbors if the game had a messaging aspect.
No. Google “Prisoner’s Dilemma.” We’re all better off if we all play Nice. This was discussed to death when the event started,,,,if you want the details and such, just go back to one of the early event posts.
No. In your scenario, if you exchange one gift with a neighbour, each of you will get 25 + 1 = 26 bows. If you both play nice, you would get 15 + 15 = 30 bows each. The naughty approach only gives you better odds if you don’t expect to get anything in return.
I’m sure I’ll finish the prize track, but the final prize being a skin for Jeff actually takes some of the pressure off. I have two great costumes for him already, and he’s one of those monorail/SH workers that I rarely get to use for much else, so I won’t mind if I happen to fall short on this one.
I know, bonus donuts, but I only got one round of those in act one, anyway. Four thousand currency is a LOT of merrymakers!

I am with you. I expected them to still be around in Act 2 and I missed out on crafting the chalet. . . so sad am I 🙁
In Act 2, since I was afraid I would miss something I crafted all items now I am stuck in the weekly challenges until EA brings forth the blessed solution. . . sigh
I was late downloading the Christmas update and now that it’s in Part 2, I can’t seem to unlock the crafting. I just finished tapping the Merrymen and the quest line just stops there. Please help!!

I 2nd on the gripes regarding Long Time Tappers not being able to generate Mistletoe / Ribbon \ Bow with previous Xmas Decor – Buildings – Character Skins (feels like EA doesn’t care about Long Time Tappers) 🙁
I 2nd on complaints regarding Neighboreenos who are Naughty (I take note and you don’t get any Presents dropped in your Springfield). This event is Fun – could be better though – (let’s hope Act 3 isn’t a let down) 😉

Im thinking the designers of this event have never seen mistletoe. I wonder you you are supposed to do under holly? Maybe I shouldn’t ask.
I don’t know if EA designers are in same geek circles I am… but it’s becoming an ongoing joke now to intentionally call it mistletoe… like “fine… if we can’t get them to say it right…call it wrong” Lol
well if holly is on top, then i guess you can lay back and relax! 😉

These buildings mean nothing to me but love the design. I’m making a futile attempt to make room for the motel, at least I have about a week before I have to worry about it. I have the perfect area in mind but it’s in an area that I consider near prefect and don’t want to mess with it.
The other thing I love is the where did that come from posts. From episode 18 on I really am not as familiar and now that I can watch them all online it’s fun to read the post then check out the episode. Thanks guys!

I saw a craftable building named “Christmas Trees Irregular”, and it’s from the first episode (S1E1), when Homer wants to buy the Christmas tree, he visits that place,and then he steals a good-looking tree from the forest, and he gets chased by a ranger,but he manages to get away,and bring the tree home,and Selma/Patty notices a bird feeder, but Homer says that is “decoration”.
It pays off 216 ribbons (I think)

Thanks as always for your hard work. Other than Mr. Burns’ new white dress, are there any other characters/skins that earn Mistletoe? Also, I didn’t find out until later on in act 1 that one of the craftable buildings generated hats, so to anyone who wants to get that started, do that first so you get the most hats out of it that you can.
Side note/rant: I’m a little frustrated that, as a long time player, they don’t let the things from the past generate stuff to help us along. The Christmas trees, nativity scene, Santa’s Workshop, etc… Would be nice if they showed their loyal players some love by helping us to finish and not feel so rushed. (Plus a few extra Bonuts wouldn’t break their bank…) Just saying…
Sophie earns Mistletoe as well. Have not seen anyone else, but I did not really check everyone.

Oh, I didn’t say anything about not *needing* the calendar…just about not *asking* for it! You’re absolutely right about the calendar being my “security blanket”! (And this act’s calendar will be especially important, since I’ll be out of town for three days, with limited ability to tap during them, so I’m gonna be keeping a very close eye on how I’m doing vis-a-vis the calendar!!)

I am really enjoying the event so far.
Got all of Act 1 prizes and crafted most of the craftables too.
When I looked at Act 2, all I could think about was wow, what great prizes!

It depends where they left off. The Donut buyout varies on how many Hats you had vs how many required at the end. So price varies per player from 10s to 100s

Somebody was quoting 400 (four hundred) and asking if the orphans were worth it ……all the answers said no 🙂
To piggyback on the previous question, it will cost me 145 donuts. For those of you who got them, should I buy the orphans? I always enjoyed them as reoccurring characters on the show.
Personal choice …if you really want them, but they’ll be forgotten in about a week when everyone has done all their questline 🙂

I had to pay donuts and got them for 145. It was a lot, but I decided not to buy the arena or Sofie. Kind of annoyed, because I’m a very regular tapper with a fair bit of premium items now, but didn’t realize that without fully upgrading the snowman and gingerbread mansion you literally could not get enough hats. By the time I caught on, it was too late (I was taking my time and balancing rail yard, etc.) I’m also annoyed that it turns out you can’t finish upgrading once the act ends, so my mansion is only level 4 and will be so forever. Even worse, since I didn’t get it to level 5, I can’t choose any of the lower levels either.

Yes, but I couldn’t imagine having the orphanage and not the orphans. I gave up any thought of getting the arena (easy choice) and Sofie (not so easy). I’m happy though. I really like them. I am annoyed that I had to pay though, because I was right on pace – even ahead – of the calendar until two days before, when I realized that I had to focus on the upgrades or I couldn’t actually achieve enough hats. I also didn’t know that the upgrades would stop being available after the act. I though we could keep doing them at our leisure during the event. Same with the crafting – really ticked about that.
I just fell short of the kids, had to cough up 30 donuts for them.
That was reasonable 🍩🍩 🙂

Lots of people still surly about the game not forcing the update and losing out; I’ve just internalized mine instead.
We get that, we do. But when it starts getting out of hand and then expanding onto multiple posts, we do need to step in and ask others to please not turn the Addicts Site into “EA hater haven”.
We’re frustrated too. Everyone is. We didn’t get items either due to no timer. But no need to turn all our hard work and every post into just a “negative comment post”. Make sense?
We addressed it in the main post. Suggested how to address the issue. Bout all we can do. So time to move forward and focus on this new stuff… like helping others reach their goals with Calendars. 😉

In act 2: There is a Winter Festval 2015 ticket that costs 90 donuts. Info shows it doubles prizes received at your neighbors. For clarification, does It double the mistletoe? Is it worth spending 90 donuts on?
Yes. Just the neighbor tap only. Nothing else.
Worth it? Depends on how much you play. I personally play enough I don’t worry about them. Only get them in test game for site info.
