Well Top o’ the morning to ya Tappers! Happy St. Patrick’s Day….and Happy Casino Act 3! It’s just after 4 am here on the East Coast…and I dragged my tired tushie out of bed to let you know.Act 3 is now live!
Remember…this is an automatic change in your game. Nothing to download, it should just start up in your game..
Things should auto-start for you with a task for Mr. Burns (12hrs) and 5 Springfielders (also 12hrs). (if you don’t see it start up it’s most likely because you haven’t placed the House of Cards. You’ll need to place the House of Cards to start Act 3, (questline, prizes will change automatically) which also means you’ll need to finish the Have a Vice Day questline)
Just what does Act 3 have in store for us? Let’s take a look…
First when you login you’ll recieve a free Leprechaun Statue, a gift from EA for St. Patrick’s Day…
New Prize Currency for Act 3..
Blue Chips! (Original right? 😉 )
So the ability to earn Green Chips is now gone. Your counter prize track for Act 3 has reset to 0..because you have 0 Blue Chips. So forget about the green ones and now it’s time to start over with blue.
You’ll earn Blue Chips the same way you earned Green Chips in Act 2…
-Tapping Gamblers, each tap yields 20 
(remember Gamblers spawn every 5 minutes, with a max of 60 allowed at once)
-Playing games at Moe’s, Cletus’, & Homer’s (yes, they still require the gold tokens, just like they did for Act 2.)
-Visiting neighbors and tapping Gamblers in their towns. Each tap yields 10..remember only 90 actions/day.
-Courtesy chips 
. Each time you lose at Moe’s, Cletus’ or Homer’s you’ll earn a courtesy chip. You can cash 10 of those in for 100 . (via crafting menu)
-Sending characters to the Casino. That will yield for each task there. (more on this for Act 3 below..)
-And via the Players Club. Certain levels will earn you more .

Act 3 Personal Prizes
Before we go into the prizes…first remember you’ll get two different counters for your chip counts. Please read this post if you’re confused.
Nero’s Palace Arch- 7,850
Nero’s Palace- 23,600 (or +15,750 from prize 1)
Reclusive Mr. Burns- 55,150 (or +31,550 from prize 2)
Chinese Acrobatic Theatre- 70,900 (or +15,750 from prize 3)
Gabbo and Arthur- 102,450 (or +31,550 from prize 4)

F you didn’t collect them all… you can still access them by tapping on the “ACT TWO PRIZES” tab in the Personal Prizes area. As you can no longer collect items for them, your only option now is to pay donuts to outright by each one left at the point you left off at. (just like every other event)

One exception…you can now upgrade levels with Show tickets as well as key chains, coasters and martinis.
And I can confirm show tickets are falling from gamblers….in addition to coasters, martinis and key chains.

In the german version of the game, they forgot to put in the translations for the crafting currency in the shop, it only shows the pictures, and the price (15 donuts each). Could you let me know how many key chains, coasters etc I would get for the 15 donuts? Or let me have the link to the post? I am sure I have seen it before, but I can’t find it again, sorry…

Maybe already mentioned… if you store any of the craftables then you can craft more and still get the players club points. I’m max now (unrelated) and was filling up on items I hadn’t gotten 4 of, and noticed that I ended up with 6 instead of 4 of one item. 120 points on the Nero fountain, FYI. Blitch out.
I just checked and it didn’t award any points. The dialog in the crafting menu just tricks you by saying it will (otherwise the text disappears).
So, ignore my “tip” or just delete. (I’ll never be as cool as Ciara…)
Actually, I think it works so long as you never craft one that doesn’t pay points. So if you craft up to the limit, then store everything you can craft up to the limit again and get all the points (and you can keep doing this ad infinitum, or at least until they patch it). But once you craft one item over the limit it doesn’t matter if you store everything you won’t get points for that item ever again (although, as you said, the menu text will come back saying you do). I hope this makes sense.

I just tried it with a Nero fountain and it worked. I stored both then crafted a new one and got 120 pts. I’m not sure if it works with just 1 under the limit stored.
I’m not sure they will need to patch this. I read that all of the prize track prizes (and the crafts, I think) reward the right number of points to get the diamond tower. This just gets people there faster but we’re in the third act now….

I think the bug is that the game waits for one item over to be crafted and then sets a flag saying not to reward any further points. It must not check your inventory. The smarter thing to do would have been to set, say, 200 pts. available and subtract, say, 50 pts. for each item crafted. Then each item past the limit would reward 0 pts. or nothing at all.

I’m having problems getting back into my EA account in game. I was able to play a bit of Act 3 yesterday, but when I went into the game again, for some reason it logged me out of my EA account and can’t get back in since then. It would either say there’s an error or it would show me the Bart screen. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to no avail. :/ It sucks because it’s been like this for me for several hours now and I’m missing out on getting more chips. Anybody have any ideas on what I can do?
I really don’t know if it will help but it might be worth uninstalling, hard resetting your device and then reinstalling? Maybe a corrupted file is lurking in your cache…?

Could you add to your casino jobs list the characters which have jobs at the other casinos which trigger animations? Like Brockman at Safari Casino, Dr. Hibbert at Lucky Casino (love it lit up), Sea Captain at the Riverboat Casino, Mrs Krabappel at the Woodstock, Selma at the Wedding chapel and Freddy Quimby at Brittania. Really wanting to know who will make the Peacock Lounge light up. I’ve browsed character job lists but nothing jumped out. Maybe the act 3 prize 5? I love this event.
We’ll have another post on it…i don’t want to confuse people because those jobs we have listed are the ones that earn chips

So at the beginning of act 2 I had saved 500 tokens which turned into about 72000 green chips (IIRC) which was enough to get all the prizes and get me a good deal of the way to my first round of bonuts. At the beginning of act 3 today I had saved 700 tokens (40% more than last time) which turned into about 83000 blue chips (nowhere near 40% more than last time) which was only enough to get the first 4 prizes and 1/3 of the way to the last. So it is obvious that EA has tweaked things in response to everyone hoarding tokens to rush through the act. However, I don’t have a problem with that, and I actually think they went about it an a very fair and even-handed way. I had a feeling they were gonna do something and they could’ve done something drastic and unfair like resetting everyone’s token count (unfair to hoarders) or dramatically increasing the number of chips required to get prizes without increasing the output from gamblers (unfair to everyone else). Instead they took the middle road and managed to reduce the advantage of hoarding without eliminating it or adversely affecting non-hoarders. Non-hoarders are actually better off because the increased drop rate more than compensates for the increased cost of prizes. Hoarders are slowed down, but will still probably end up getting just as many (if not more) bonuts thanks to the increased drop rate.
As for me, I’m less than 10,000 away from Gabbo so I should have all prizes within a day, then I’ll be raking in bonuts thanks to the doubled drop rate.
All in all I think EA handled this very well, it’s only a little disappointing that they feel the need to “save us from ourselves” thanks to players who rush through the event and then bitterly complain that there’s nothing to do…
I started Act 3 in my A game with 600+ tokens and went to 90k chips with them using the slots machine.
In my B game I’ve collected 400+ tokens and ended up with 65k. As one can see, it’s already a bit more than the A game results (should be only 60k with 200 tokens = 30k chips).
In the end it’s all random with regards to the amounts won.
I had saved 200 coins and spent them all at moes and got just under 30k blue chips quite underwhelming I thought I’d get much more 2 days later playing constantly has netted me 20k more so I should be ok for all prizes but doubt I’ll get many bonuts

Thanks! I figured out long ago that gaps have to be hidden by evergreen trees or it all unravels in the winter.
The balloon has a logic, lol. Skinner is usually birdwatching under the tree there and the school is just across the street. 🙂
It’s strange, but I just don’t feel the itch to buy the Falls, or any of the St. Paddy’s stuff. =\
now that the falls are finally available, i’m not sure i really want it either. certainly doesn’t help that it has no bonus or payout…
That’s how I felt about the Mapple Store, which I didn’t end up buying. Plus, with the huge demand for the falls, a ton of people will probably buy it so it’s not like you couldn’t see it in any number of neighbors’ towns.
Personally, I bought the falls immediately and was a little disappointed in the size (even though I’ve seen it in other people’s towns). I think it needs some tree & bush embellishments to really look cool.
Went through a couple hundred tokens and got the Safari casino crafted (it’s bigger than any other casino) and unlocked Nero’s (which is going on my ornate pier because my strip is quite full and I just think it looks nice on the pier. It replaced my Exclusive Resort, so it will be the “exclusive” casino of the town.)
I still have a lot of tokens to get through, but I had to rearrange my planned strip a bit when Safari turned out to be so huge. The Burns fountain might end up in storage before this is all over.
A bit off topic but I noticed something recently about spwns that I’d like to get your thoughts on. We have been assuming we need to play every 4? hours for 60 total (30 in town and 30 in the bank) … however… I find that unless I leave my game literally playing, that when I first come into the game there are zero spawns.. it takes a minute for them to start showing up.. and if we have a bank of only 30.. I’m thinking in that situation I am only bagging 30… not 60. Thoughts?
I’m so glad they increased the chance of crafting currency dropping when you play casino games! I get CC almost 9 times out of 10 now when I play 😀
I’m 200 chips away from the Chinese Acrobatic Theatre, so I’m pretty satisfied with where I’m at. 🙂
Have gone through 500 of the 700 tokens I saved and have almost enough for the Chinese acrobat school. If all goes according to plan I’ll have 10 days of getting bonuts. Pretty sweet event.
PS… the safari casino is huge. Best casino by far.
PSS… any idea when the platinum scratchers make they’re return?
For anyone behind on the player’s club, the unlimited craftable items like the fountains/walk-of-stars has a bug.
If you STORE the items already crafted, the counter resets. That means you can repeatedly get 50 player clubs for the very easily crafted fountains/stars as long as you keep storing the placed-items. That’ll upgrade the player’s club to black diamond a lot more quickly.
This sounds like an awesome bug, but I don’t get it…

Sounds to me like the game doesn’t register you have crafted the item if you store it, so you can basically exceed the limit of receiving club card points when crafting.
Tapped Out does a count of how many stars or fountains are actually PLACED when deciding whether to award player’s club points. Once 8x stars are crafted-and-placed, the crafting menu no longer mentions getting 50 player’s club points. But the counter doesn’t count the in-storage stars. It’s already mentioned that you only get stars when placing crafted items, so it makes sense that EA did it this way.
Their bug was to not keep a hard-count of total number of stars placed PLUS in inventory. So after getting 400 points for crafting/placing 8x stars, you can store all 8x stars. Then place 8x more for 400 points. Store again, and you have 16x stars in inventory (but none placed). Then craft/place 8x more…..
Very easy to collect thousands of points…
To me it sounds like you only get the bonus on the first one maybe.. so if you store them.. it always counts as your first. Just guessing

2. Collect Players Points.
3. STORE the star / fountain you just crafted
4. Repeat.
(If you leave the star or fountain out, then you max out and collect no Players points after the first 4 or 8 items. But apparently – if you STORE the items into inventory, you can keep collecting players points.)

Thanks so much for this! Buying loads of Nero’s fountains and storing them and buying them again for 120 club card points. It’s the best valued one for the martinis and show tickets. Also, I’m buying lots of stars too!

If you’re a regular tapper you shouldn’t have any trouble fully upgrading your player’s club through normal gameplay and crafting what you want. You might regret choosing to spend your crafting currency on prizes you don’t really want just for the player’s club points. What are you gonna do with more than two Nero fountains?
Took an hour and a half to go through things this morning, to send my town on their tasks, visit neighbors, clear gamblers, and then finally to clear all 160 tokens I had saved from act 2. I’m now 22,620 blue chips into this act, plus enough materials to craft a few things including the safari casino. Pretty good start I think.
Springfield Falls!!!!!! Finally! Thanks EA for bringing it back! On the top of my reissue list. Now, Swanky Fish and Three-eyed Sushi stand are the last on my list.

The 600+ tokens in my A game allowed me to get more than a head start with Act 3. I’ve collected 90K chips already, completed the player’s club track and only need until tomorrow morning to finish the prize track. Now I can concentrate on the three questlines (Act 3, St. Easter & Seamus). Very cool.
My B game had 400+ tokens, pushing me to 65k chips. Tha’s going to take a few more days to finish.
what did you play to get 90k chips from 600 some tokens? I only got about 83k chips from 700 tokens playing mostly slots, maybe a few dozen each on dice and cards.
I got 46k on 350 tokens. (slots)
Slots at Moe’s exclusively.
I guess I should’ve stayed away from dice and cards.

I’m always playing Moe’s for casino chips and Cletus’s if I need courtesy chips for the daily challenge.
Actually I think Cletus is the best. I was saying it was the worst because I was betting on 2 and 12 and losing but I was betting 7 all day today and I won 110 chips almost EVERY single time, plus crafting currency. I get bigger payouts from Homers but I also lose about half the time there. Moe’s let’s you win almost every time but it’s usually under 100 chips.
I ran 40 tokens each this morning on various games with the following average results per token (crafting materials doesn’t include courtesy chips):
Reels (try #1): 142.5 chips, 1.7 materials.
Dice choosing 7: 108.4 chips, 1.6 materials.
Cards: 100.4 chips, 1.6 materials.
Dice choosing 2: 80 chips, 1.6 materials.
Reels (try #2): 124 chips, 1.6 materials.
I’m playing reels from now on…
I have to admit, I was hoping Booberella would be available as some sort of Vegas style celebrity to make up for not being for sale last Halloween. But regardless, as a Hedonistic City fan, this has been one of my favorite events so far.

Why is Springfield Falls so coveted? Does it give some kind of bonus other than Vanity? I really want to know, should I buy it and why or why not.
It’s coveted because it was only released once way back in the Spring of 2013….so it’s one of those rare TSTO items. When it was originally released it was free.
This marks the first time it’s ever returned to the game…so it’s the chance for players who have been staring at it for 3 years in neighbor’s towns to get it. It does not award a bonus or anything…so it’s one of those only buy if you’ve been wanting it items.
Oh. Ok. I couldn’t understand why it was coveted so much. I didn’t start playing until the Clash of the Clones, so it was obviously after the falls had been released originally. I was having difficulty understanding why anyone would want to spend 90 donuts on a decoration that only increased vanity. Thanks. This will be a pass for me. Now I am just waiting for the Should I buy on the Notre Dame of Springfield.
Looking at update history, it must have come out right after I started playing.
I’ve always had it, and it looks nice against the mountains in my wooded area, but it doesn’t really thrill me, and I don’t know that I would pay donuts for it. I think the main reason people want it is because it’s been around for so long, but no way to get it if you missed it the first time.

I banked 350 in act two and believe I hit Bonuts 5 times, In the span of an hour and a half this morning I have my Nero hotel/fountain built, the safari hotel built, black diamond status, an extra nero fountain on Bruns’ property, and am halfway to Recluse Burns. I should be done with all prizes in a week give or take…bring on the Bonuts.
Hey everybody, happy St Patrick’s day! I’m so excited been playing for 2+ years and have wanted to the whole time, I was prepared to pay a ridiculous amount as was in demand as Alissa stated.
I tapped in SH till 3:00 am, was tempted to stay awake till act 3 hit but knew would not to go sleep at all and husband and both dogs weren’t happy with me. Was a night of tossing and turning and not being able to shut brain down so should have just stayed up!
