Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The Wild West Removal Update has hit the App Store. Right now I only see it for iOS…but Android and Kindle sit tight. It’s currently live on iOS and Android (for Android you may have to search Tapped Out in your app store and update from there. It doesn’t always show in the Play Store for some reason). Kindle players, let me know when it hits for you… And now it’s also live for Kindle.
Downloading this will REMOVE the Wild West Event from your game. You’ll no longer see bandits or the event icons. Springfield will return to normal. (and so will your Daily Challenges)
This update should also cure a lot of your space issues for many players. Since all of the Wild West items are being pulled…
Nothing new to play with the update, but there are two new items are in the store as well..leftovers from the event..as well as a little teaser in the App Store description..
App Store Description alludes to something coming next…Perhaps something nerdy (or Collegiate like)…or something Super-duper..or hey maybe Donald and Bernie will finally debate live in Springfield!
And two new items in the store…
Now you can have your very own NPCs from the Wild West Event! (I know Brooders is dying to get her hands on these guys….)
I’m not going to do full blown Should I Buy posts on these guys. They’re NPCs. If you like them and want them get them..otherwise save your donuts. Here’s a quick recap on each:
Prospector:

Yes I forgot to buy Buck McCoy in my B game. Happens sometimes…
Comes with a task to Tap the Prospector. And when you tap him he swings his axe and flips it in the air, and that’s it.
Brutus:
Part of the Old West Villains Collection
Comes with a task to Tap Brutus. And when you tap him he pulls the arrow out of his hat and scratches his chin with it, and that’s it.
So grab em if you want em…otherwise save those donuts for something better!

NPC’s, but they can be promoted to full characters, if EA needs them for an event. This has happened before.
Since the update yesterday, my store button says there are 8 new things for sale, but nothing is actually there. Just a glitch probably?
Anyone else have this? Or am I missing something?
It’s referring to the money you can buy with donuts. Not new, but the pricing probably changed for you

Those 8 items are the bundles of cash you can buy for donuts. This always appears after a level-up.
You need to download the update from playstore
I’ve restarted my kindle a bunch of times and there still is no uupdate
I can only go off of what people tell me…and a couple mentioned it hit kindle.
And according to the app page on Amazon it’s back to the original version and was updated on May 31st:

No update on kindle UK, clicked on your link and it says not available due to my geographical location
It’s not an auto-updare… You have to go to the app store to get the update. (I updated my Kindle yesterday.)
If you’re in the UK it’s currently not available for some reason.

So operant conditioning works. Every time I see the prospector or big bandit I have to tap him…
I can’t get the takedown update on my kindle fire , I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app a few times . Is anyone else having this problem or have any idea of how I can get this fixed ? My game also isn’t letting me visit friends who have already updated
A few are mentioning the issue. But when I go on the Amazon App Store the latest version is there. Not sure if this will help you or not:

Mines been the same..now can’t play cuz loading screen says update takes me to store but no update there just says open and goes round in circle of both pages not updating…reinstalled but still doing it 🙁 hope gets fixed soon.

I’m still waiting! No update for me in the app store. It’s a Kindle, I already tried logging out, but it’s just not showing up. I’m so ready to get rid off all the bandits. They are everywhere!

Hi, it would be fine if it was possible to sit green palm trees in Las Vegas casino corner ( and also perhaps cars on the road, and boats on the river.)
The palm trees from SH will work. Unlike the palm trees for cash that can only go on the beach, the two palm trees that you can buy for furniture can go anywhere… 😃
Unfortunately can’t help you with cars on roads or goats on river…😞

So far as putting vehicles on the road, the best workaround I’ve found is to replace a couple squares of road with pavement, put the vehicle on the border of the pavement and road, and then work some tree or other tall object into the surrounding landscape to hide the rest of the pavement.
Here’s an example with my Duff party bus pulling up to Duff Gardens:

It’s not perfect or anything, and it’s a shame we need to resort to design gymnastics for something so simple, but it can work.
I haven’t found a way to put boats or islands on the water tiles. Which is a shame because I’d like my Mulberry Island to be on an inland lake rather than the ocean. Jet skis would be good in lakes, as well. I’d also like to be able to put small water features, such as the minnow pond, on water tiles.
Hi, it would be fine if it was possible to put palm trees in las vegas casino corner ! (cars in streets, and boats on the river, too)
After the update I no longer have Springfield heights items to buy. Now I’m not a long time gamer so maybe I’m missing something but I no longer see the option of Springfield heights when looking for things to build/buy.
Expand your menu…hit the arrow…find the icon that looks like the SH sign, red brick. That’ll take you into the SH menu
Look inside the store…in the area that shows the rows of categories. One of the icons (I think it’s all the way on the right of the top row) is a red brick wall with Springfield Heights on it…that’s what you need to tap to see those items.
Hmm no update in the UK kindle store yet. Boo.

I don’t have an option to build buildings in Springfield Heights, other than an Exclusive Resort. I have only maxed out on Condos, so it’s not that. Where do I go to build there now? Anyone else have this problem
I have a three ideas for new events. (1) I would absolutely love to take it wwaay back old school and see an event focused around S6E8 “Lisa on Ice:”. The battle between the and who the townsfolk follow. And rioting at the end of the episode. (2) Or how about an event having to do with jazz, Bleeding Gums Murphy, and sax-a-ma-phones galore! You can craft the Jazz Hole, expand King Toot’s, and have music notes for currency. My (3) would be the UBER-classic. S1E5 Bart the General. Must I say more? This event you practically write itself.
I would love any or all of these. But especially Bleeding Gums Murphy.🎷
I didn’t realise how slow and laggy my game was before I updated. Everything is so smooth and fast now! The Wild West update was worse than any for lag. Glad I can finally redesign my town now!

It will. It’ll store Cletus’ farm and you’ll lose your corn.
Still no update on kindle UK GMT 7am
Have you tried using the drag and stretch editing tool instead of nuking your whole town? You can be more selective of the parts of your town you want to edit. You can drag the box over regions/sections and put only those selections into storage. I think it’s much easier than starting completely over.
My access to challenges ended before the segment did. I was getting the “capture the bad bandit” challenge for a week and a half and he never appeared, and the icon in my task book didn’t show either. Other challenges just kept accumulating and I couldn’t access them, tap as I might! What gives?
No idea. But you can always x out a challenge…
Well, is it weird that the NPCs give the same amount of XP as the number of donuts they cost? Have they ever deviated from the standard 25xp before?

I didn’t get automatic pop-up or notification, either. I updated, and then realized maybe I should have checked the WILD WEST icon in the bottom corner or tapped the General Store before I updated.

What do you plan on doing with them? I’ve still got several hundred walls in my inventory. I never use them all
Are you planning on fencing in your entire town? Otherwise it’s just going into inventory forever.
Unless you have grand plans for them later, I wouldn’t bother getting more. I have 250 fences in storage, plus heaps more placed. I also have 150 gates. The main problem I have, is that fences and smaller decorations really chew up the object allowance… I’ve already exceeded 6100 (I keep getting the warnings) and would still like to be able to place more decorations as some areas are very bare-bones (no fences, shrubs etc).
I stocked up too, only to find the fences and gates are still here. Nothing lost, though, it’s only in-game cash, which is plentiful.
personally- I’m waiting for Boobarella to make another appearance- I wasn’t yet playing the last time she was around!
Has anyone else noticed that Gummy Joe no longer has a 24-hour task? Or is it just mine?
I have him at a 24-hour task at the Town Plaza right now.
I’m disappointed that they didn’t fix the Gil glitch before the offer expired. Hopefully now that the event is over, they’ll bring back Gil’s offer.
Me too I contacted them about him vanishing and got no response. Hopefully they’ll re-run him now.
Still no Duff Gardens. And, Gummy Joe now doesn’t have a 24 hour task. Don’t tell EA, but I got 10 free donuts as a glitch. 🙂

I used that for a slight redesign during the event but now it looks a little wonky. I love that feature for small redesigns!
Unfortunately I had to build maybe 15 buildings outside of the event, so everything looks like it needs to move somewhere else. 😛
