Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
The Wild West Removal Update has hit the App Store. Right now I only see it for iOS…but Android and Kindle sit tight. It’s currently live on iOS and Android (for Android you may have to search Tapped Out in your app store and update from there. It doesn’t always show in the Play Store for some reason). Kindle players, let me know when it hits for you… And now it’s also live for Kindle.
Downloading this will REMOVE the Wild West Event from your game. You’ll no longer see bandits or the event icons. Springfield will return to normal. (and so will your Daily Challenges)
This update should also cure a lot of your space issues for many players. Since all of the Wild West items are being pulled…
Nothing new to play with the update, but there are two new items are in the store as well..leftovers from the event..as well as a little teaser in the App Store description..
App Store Description alludes to something coming next…Perhaps something nerdy (or Collegiate like)…or something Super-duper..or hey maybe Donald and Bernie will finally debate live in Springfield!

I’m not going to do full blown Should I Buy posts on these guys. They’re NPCs. If you like them and want them get them..otherwise save your donuts. Here’s a quick recap on each:

Yes I forgot to buy Buck McCoy in my B game. Happens sometimes…
Comes with a task to Tap the Prospector. And when you tap him he swings his axe and flips it in the air, and that’s it.
Brutus:
Part of the Old West Villains Collection
Comes with a task to Tap Brutus. And when you tap him he pulls the arrow out of his hat and scratches his chin with it, and that’s it.
So grab em if you want em…otherwise save those donuts for something better!

Maybe a super hero sequel?
I sent all my super heroes for some training to the Radioactive Man Statue. They were getting fat and lazy.
Pretty nice and easy event. I’ve been a fremium player since about 4 years ago and love tapping out everyday. Hope they bring back the Stonecutter event with even more stuff. The characters i want to see in the game are Linguo(Lisa’s grammar-correcting robot) and Pinchy(Homer’s pet lobster).

I think there are a few of us that had serious glitches with the Wild West event 😢. For those who had Wild West Rustlers make off with Springfield Heights (lost crafting currency, loss of SH real estate $, inability to send characters on tasks to earn back currency, etc), I have found a way to jump start SH. WARNING: it is painful and you will not like it – it’s a grind 😬. Basically you are going to start from the beginning. Use the googleplex to earn minimal chairs which you can use to unlock Mr. Burns to start earning coffee. Then keep choosing various movies at the googleplex (yes, you have to spend Simpson $ currency) to earn the crafting items needed to “unlock” each SH crafting building. Remember to have your characters help earn SH currency as well. It will be a slow process but at least We won’t be “locked out” of SH any more. Good Luck!

I got the last prize of act 3 about a week ago. I’m good and ready for a new event!
Seeing as we are leaning toward the next event being a sequel to the Superhero event, could the teaser for “something hot” mean the addition of Charcoal Briquette? That’d make me happy☺

I’m not sure if why are the French description is slightly different than the English description, but there’s a chance that it is a red herring, or something mistranslation (GTranslate is the key to make Engrish text).

Am I the only one that noticed that those NPC look a bit beat up?
Reasons they’re beaten up are:
EA’s way of ‘taking care’ of Brutus and prospector so they stay in Springfield. Sky finger for catching them many, many times during the event or they have found the forgotten gold treasure, tried to take it and Homer beat them up for trying to steal it. You can make a story out of this. 😀 👊 🤕

The truth is we have as much of a clue as everyone else. The superhero thing sounds cool though AND they teased it at the end of that one.

There was a minor glitch in the game after few weeks of Superheroes’ event removal, which would show you this dialogue if you stored Radioactive Man, then placed again into the town.
Is there a place in the game to see all the character sets? Like the old west sets you show in the post?
Open your store. In the bottom left corner you’ll see a homer statue and a storage box (your inventory). Tap on the statue and it’ll bring up the character collections list.
I jumped back into Tapped Out about 1.5 weeks into this event and still managed to get everything…with some SUPER diligent tapping during finals week. I enjoyed this a lot, even though the story felt so messy. But a lot has changed since I left over a year ago!
Can I clarify? Tapping friends’ buildings still resets their building collect timer, and I should leave most of my buildings untapped for my neighboreenos, right? Man, that’s a chore with the IRS upgrade! 😛
I usually tap what I need to (like a finished character task) and whatever nearby gets collected. But, really, just see how many visits you get at different times and you can sort of figure out how many buildings to leave available to be tapped. I find, for me, that I never have a full town of friend taps.
The building timers are supposed to reset, but some of them don’t really, I think. I noticed the Lemon Tree never seems to actually.
The lemon tree is a curious thing. In the very early stages of TSTO it was possible to steal it from your friends. As it was glitches EA pulled the possibility to steal it.
Yeah, I heard of that. I thought it was something about a sorta premium item (the mystery box can be bought) being stolen, literally. (You can steal it back.)

Not necessarily. It took me many, many months of mystery boxes before I finally got the lemon tree (which I had really coveted).
Dang, I used to always tap on the Lemon Tree :/ At least now I know it’s a bit buggy.
Also, I went to a neighboreeno and saw a building with a star over it, ready to tap. Skipped it because I didn’t recognize it and tried to find more info here. No luck. (Go figure typing in “star” on here doesn’t help much! :P) Any tips? I swear that’s all I have to ask! 🙂
I remember DSH buildings had stars…but those all changed to money afterwards. What kind of building was it? What shape?
NARA Training Center. I’ve only seen it in 2-3 towns…available to tap, at least. Instead of the money or a cash register floating above it, it has a star. I wasn’t around for Deep Space Homer, but I didn’t see anything about a new icon for buildings associated with it.
I figure it’s just a different icon, but I avoided tapping it because I wasn’t sure if it would help my neighbor like the other buildings do.
So far it sounds like the glitches are minimal: a persistent task, and one case of missing donuts (might be isolated). No one’s complaining about anything else so it sounds like the dirt roads stay (can be built, that is). I can’t wait to download this and get rid of the post-act 3 pointlessness.
After reading about this missing/non-reoccuring Gill issue. I checked on my very rarely played alternate game and he was there. I bought Duff Gardens with a sizeable chunk of my free/earned doughnuts.
… and then soon realized that I had to be Level 60 for the story line to start.
I’m only level 26 in that game.

I’m on Kindle but, even after the new update I’m still seeing it saying only 40,000 XP to level up. I’ve been checking the Kindle app store everyday to see if there was an update that would fix it but, I hadn’t seen one. I tryed deleting the game from my device and the cloud and redownloading, that didn’t work. I was hoping this update would fix it but, it hasn’t. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Is it just not changed for people on kindle yet?
It ain’t a bug, it’s a feature. Until level 101 it is 40,000 XP per level. After that until level 939 (max. level) it is 500,000 XP.
The bonuts levels are 1,000,000 XP per level.
The crazes are back! So chuffed. Snake will be causing mayhem for quite some time in between playing with son 😊……💜X

I see the update didn’t completely remove the update: I’ve already downloaded it, but my iPhone still had a push notification asking if I had the guts to take down the Wanted Bandit.
That might be on a timer. Basically it’s like when you start an 8 hour task but rush it during the last 2 hours, you’ll find that a notification still pops up at exactly 8 hours saying the job is finished. I think they must have set up the wanted bandits the same way. It should be done with after that.
No kindle update for me yet

I’ve been able to get doughnuts throughout the Wild West Event, albeit seemingly at a reduced frequency. I didn’t get any form tapping Bandits, but by tapping the floating “$” or cash registers of houses/buildings from neighboureenos who may not have participated in this particular event.

That’s only because you had some friends who never played the event, it sounds like. You might want to check when the last time those folks played was…

I’m not a stickler for inactive players, though. (I was in my first 2 or 3 years of playing.)
Now if someone seems to have either skipped an event, or even seemingly dropped altogether, I keep them on the list until I need space.
It has apparently worked in my favour as well! 😀

Happy the update is here, but I’m still miffed off that I was not able to get that last item question mark as the event shut down before it was opened up 🙁 I got thousands items left (axes n hats n stuff) I didn’t use them up as I had gotten already all the mountain bits and stuff multiplied times .. I was hoping the last day was to buy some new stuff with, but nah..
Prospector and Brutus should’ve been available to buy with leftover axes n stuff – will not spend hardearned donuts on them, might have if they were full characters that actually did stuff.
The question mark was teasing the next event. You didn’t miss out on anything.
