Gather up those Insanity Peppers and get ready to lose your mind, as we take a journey with the residents of our pocket-sized Springfields for the hottest Chili known to man! So bust open those crock pots and grab some donuts because there are several Chili Cook-Off themed premium items in our stores to grab!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Proshop and Space Coyote to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this spirit guide to your Springfield.
Building/Decoration: Pro Shop
Character: Space Coyote

Size: 10×10, and it’s quite tall. Side by side I would say it’s about the same size (heigh wise) as the Exclusive Resort
Earns: Coyote Earns 4

Leaves stores on June 15th…but the earlier you buy the better
Pros
-Comes with a questline
-Premium character earns 50% more cash and XP on tasks
-Fun animate tasks
-Earns at a premium rate, 4/3hrs..vs 2/3hrs for regular characters
-One of the more recent, highly requested characters
-Coyote will use the Pro Shop
Cons
-Not voiced
-Questline is short, only 3 parts
-Best animated task requires Homer
Final Thought:
Premium:
Plain and simple…if you’re a premium player. A true premium player, get this one. It’s an ok price for a combo, will help with the event…and it’s a classic character. Pick him up, you won’t be sorry.
Freemium:
This is one of those Freemium toss ups. It’s ok priced, and it does help with the event overall. However, if you’ve been saving those bonuts for something else…you may want to hold off. There are other premium characters that’ll be more useful to you as TSTO goes on.
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would/wouldn’t do. And I can tell you I already picked this one up. Just make sure that you pick him up sooner rather then later if you’re thinking about getting him. The sooner he’s in the game the more beneficial he’ll be to you!
Note: Space Coyote does come with a questline. Personally I think you should hold off on completing the questline until the event is over (it’ll still be around), so that you can use him to earn peppers..

I never bought this. I got the steel mill instead. Can’t complain at 100 donuts
Rule #1 — Premium Building that comes with a Character are great, especially if they involve actual Characters from Springfield (ie Otto the Bus Driver, etc) that are useful later
Rule #2 — there has to be a good reason to buy Premium Items
As fun as the Chilli Event is, I don’t think this offering falls under Rule #1 or #2, so “no bueno” EA
So I had problems with the wild west event I finished the event but the church didn’t build. I contacted EA they couldn’t fix it actually made it worse they stored it and the other building disapeared. Any way I really didn’t care since I had everything else. They worked on it and ended up giving me a few donuts. So I picked up the Pro shop, Ajax and Fanders and it only cost me 40 donuts, SCORE!! I was able to catch up on the track building donuts and caught up a lot on the chilli event So I should be ahead plenty. Tomorrow I start visiting friends tonight it’s to late.
I’m freemium but I didn’t hesitate to get this one and I have no regrets 🙂
I can’t begin to explain how perfect this was for my Springfield. I needed a fairway but the fairway was kind of wasted space. Just perfect.

coyote adds a character. Devil Flanders is just a skin for flanders..
(mostly freemium player) Do the rumors that duff gardens will be returning this week have any legs? I’ve been waiting on buying this in case duff returns…
many players are reporting it coming back when they finish the level 60 questline…
It came back for me with the update, but, once I dismissed it, it disappeared again, rather than staying available as an option in the store, the way it was supposed to. Fortunately, I didn’t really want Duff Gardens anyway, but I hope they get that coding fixed, for those who might have wanted it, but weren’t able to pull the purchase trigger on the spot.
Thanks, everyone. I’ve finished all the quest lines and no luck here. I’ll just get the Pro shop now, and maybe if/when Duff Gardens returns I might have enough for that as well.
100% freemium player since 2012 and by far this event cost me the biggest with proshop and steel mill. Tough coz ive been savin my donuts for gil’s thanksgiving rebate..
Purchased all the extras for this event. I am going to be unable to play this entire next week and wanted to be sure to finish. Also, I really like food and food related items. Especially the chili stand. And… never mind, I love it all this time.
What are your SIB thoughts on the steel mill with the current rebate of 50 donuts?

How did you do the little road/dirt road edge square thingies?
I had the dirt road placed first and ran the regular road alongside it and instead of creating a sidewalk it created all those little squares on its own for some reason lol.
I’m torn, I’m mostly freemium but I may spend 10-20 bucks once in a blue moon. Add of right now I have 280 donuts. And loving this and some of the donut day sale stuff what would you do? I know it’s my decision but need your opinion. I’m thinking of buying the 132 donuts with two scratchers. Is that a good deal really? If I do that then I could see picking this up and maybe some of the other donut stuff and chili pepper event stuff. Like devil Flanders lol. And times running out so best quick response will help me. Thanks 🙂

I might have gotten the coyote, but I’m not a fan of such big buildings in my regular Springfield and they haven’t given us enough land in Springfield Heights to be able to put it there. So, I’m skipping this one. (Happy to have gotten Roscoe and the Ajax, though! 🙂 )

Oh, I concur. I DID get the Pro Shop….primarily, because I wanted Space Coyote. Simply couldn’t help myself with that one. On the other hand, that building is a MONSTER. I wish I could shrink it down by about 1/2. It took some time to fit in, and I still haven’t done any design around it or the area it’s in as I’ve put all my “I don’t know what to do with you” stuff in that area. Just roads and buildings, pretty plain jane….which I just can’t stand, but also can’t figure out what to do. What a dilemma…..
Yeah its an ugly building but I wanted Coyote. I wish you could store buildings wi t hour their characters also disappearing, especially ones that cost actual money. There’s no percentage on this one so I’d be more than happy to store it.

Well today I decided to be brave and finish the level 60 questline. Been holding off on doing it incase I got locked out lol, but I was fine (fingers crossed, touch wood). Also I don’t know if this has happened to anybody else but Gill reappeared after I unlocked the homerlayas and is offering duff gardens again!! Although mine never disappeared the first time round. Another question do we still get donuts for visiting friends because I’m sure somebody said we don’t anymore!?

I was contemplating the same thing. It’s so tall, I can’t think of anything. I just put mine behind my Duff Gardens between 2 beeramids in my casino area so it can be part of the rampant consumerism (just like the real Vegas)
I’m pretty good at hiding stuff, but I can’t imagine how the sign could be hidden without hiding a lot of the building as well. And it’s so tall that the only things that might have a chance are the popcicle skyscraper and sit-n-rotate.
Would be nice if it came with a hallucination skin that made it a mystical temple without the sign.

bought him as soon as i seen it. no brainier he coyote is very cool. Ive also found a way not to waste peppers on free stuff . When you get close just task enough people to cover the price then wait 1/2 hour and task the rest. Exapple i needed 6 peppers for the Lenny tent so i only tasked coyote waited 1/2 hour then tasked everyone else so in another 1/2 hour ill harvest from the farm and all the rest of the people toward the next prize. the back water still . Does the still give .5% like the original one?
I haven’t earned it yet so I’ll have to check. I’d imagine it would but can’t be certain until I see the results for myself.

I placed the pro-shop beside the miniature golf course, it fits in nicely (in a “Springfield is a strange town” sort of way).
Instant purchase. When I started playing TSTO about 3 years ago, one thing I hoped for was the chance to get the Johnny Cash coyote.. Patience pays off! And it came on a day they gave us a bump in donuts, no less!
Would be fantastic if it was voiced, but I honestly didn’t expect it to be.
Only 3 bonuts away from getting him with the 15 plus where’s Maggie 3 and 1 daily tasks I got today. Will definitely pick him up this weekend. One of my favorite episodes!

I’ve seen several players report it reappeared when they finished level 60 questline…
It did not do so for me. However, I’m ever the optimist, and one report I came across suggested that the last update put n motion for those shameful folks like I, who failed to IMMEDIATELY listen to Gil and purchase Duff Gardens, that we will have the opportunity to spend our pinkies.
Hell, it is 10:25 here. I’m out of gas.
Kind of wanted to see “Mt Splashmore” instead since its a summer thing….well I guess the chilie thing could be considered a “summer” type thing too. And the Pro Shop which was in the Desert when Homer saw it I think I put in my Desert. I put the Chilie stand next to my Co-op thing.
The Pool Mobile would be cool to see sometime soon too….
Summer ( in the US ) starts June 20th, this event ends the 15th, so maybe Summer content hasn’t started yet. Maybe you’ll get Mt. Splashmore and I’d love to see the pool truck 🙂
