Homer’s Chiliad and the Conform-O-Meter

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s getting hot in Springfield, as the Chiliad mini event has invaded our games for the last week plus bringing several new items to our pocket sized towns. With all of the new items added to Tapped Out I thought now would be a good time to take a look at how all of these items impact the Conform-O-Meter ratings (especially since this might help you decide what to keep out & what to put into storage).

The Conform-O-Meter is an important part of Tapped-Out because it provides you with a bonus boost in your cash and XP from everything you collect in the game. When you achieve a 5-Star Town (it’s max rating) you will receive a 5% bonus on all money and XP collected in your town. If you missed the previous Conform-O-Meter posts check here for the basics and here for how many points you’ll need to reach 5 stars.

While the Chiliad Event brought no changes to the Conform-O-Meter requirements, it did bring us a new items to add to our Springfield. Let’s take a look at how all of the new “goodies” impact our rating: Continue reading →

It’s Chili Cook-Off time in Springfield! Gather up those Insanity Peppers and get ready to lose your mind, as we take a journey with the residents of our pocket-sized Springfields for the hottest Chili known to man! Like all events, it’s not without it’s share of premium content and characters. Of course those premium characters wouldn’t be complete without a questline!

The Space Coyote is a premium character that you can pick up during the Chili Cook-Off Event. He comes with a fun questline. And the Five Alarm Chili Stand is a premium decorations, that comes with Devil Flanders if you don’t have him already, that also comes with a fun questline. (hilarious in fact. Be sure to read the dialogue if you pick this one up! 🙂 )

Chili Cook-Off Pro Tip: Grow Corn

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Quick tip for y’all….Grow Corn! As in, start it right now. Before you complete Part 2 of It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity…where you unlock the ability to grow Peppers at Cletus’ Farm, start growing Corn. And turn on your XP Collider (if you’re someone who uses it, and willing to grind out some XP to get more donuts. Otherwise don’t worry about the collider…)

Once you complete Part 2 of It’s Not the Heat, It’s the Humidity the corn will Auto-Complete for you.

This will ONLY work if you start growing corn prior to completing part 2.

I can confirm, this works. I sacrificed some donuts in my game to test.

So start growing and good luck!

In-Game Update: Chili Cook-off!

Note: If you’re thinking about buying donuts…wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow, June 3rd, is donuts day! So hold off on buying donuts until you see what’s coming tomorrow. Thanks to LPN for pointing this out. I saw the dates in the files, but for some reason thought today was the 3rd. So when nothing triggered I figured it was just incorrect coding. Of course in the end it was just me who apparently really wishes it was Friday lol

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Well…it’s time for the next big thing in TSTO…the Chili Cook-off! (Can you hear Ciara’s squeals of excitement? ;))

Homer gets things going in our games with a 6s task to Drink Beer with Intensity. And that’s followed by another 6s task (hey Brooders has some great foreshadowing..). And just after that the event will start…(and it’s just like Deep Space Homer, Fire Department and others…do tasks, earn prizes. I’ll detail it below)
