I’m still recovering from last time I moved house so don’t think I will be doing that again anytime soon. But then again with the way the world is going I may just start building a bunker and move in there.

There’s a timer in the game that says how much longer. But I would add potentially another four days for an “epilogue.”

This event is becoming mundane , I appreciate all the events that EA provides and I understand the length of them so all have a chance do complete them . But alas I can’t wait for this event to end . The prizes where so so to me I’ve liked other events a lot more . Any ideas on the next event or when it might drop ? And when are they going to put Lionel Huts in the game lol
If I had to guess, I’d go with the next major event being an Olympic event and drops in three weeks, following a short mini-event!
If I had to guess, Lionel Hutz, Troy McClure, and Lyle Lanley won’t be in the game until 2018 at the earliest, if ever. I’d guess 10% chance by 2018, 20% chance by 2019, 30% chance by 2020, 5% chance after 2020, and 65% chance that they’ll never be released.
You need to take those skills to OTB (or the stock market)!
Did they increase the amount of xp for leveling up? I’m at 103 and where it used to take 50,000 xp to level up it now says 500,000 xp.

I missed out on fighting the felon battles by playing the lose then win strategy for the first act, and part of the second act, but I’ve been playing it ever since. It’s working out well for me despite the fact that I had upgraded all of my fighters to the maximum level. I use a lot of science water and band aides. Plus- I have the benefit of having a ton of characters available to fight. I have all of the regular fighters, plus I just got the Bouncing Baby skin for Maggie. I also have Charcoal Briquette, the Scout Master, Citizen Solar, Wind Lad, Plopper, Bartman, Fruit-Bat-Man, Fallout Boy, and Radioactive Man, Dr. Colossus, and The Collider. So the event is going well for me, and I’m looking forward to getting the final prizes. I’ll be happy when the event is over, and I can sit back and enjoy the new game content.
I have a feeling that we will be getting a SH edition after this event is over. I have no insider information. I just think that we’re due for a SH update.
I had major problems with the game last year and didn’t play for quite a while. I missed last year’s superhero event, so this one is becoming a donut eater for me. Getting the characters but resisting on most of the other stuff like the rad fort. I am enjoying it though.
when does anyone think the next event will begin? do you think it will be a back to school event? that could be cool

Might be a little too early for Back To School, which usually doesn’t happen until late August in North America. But that would be a cool event, as hey have many school children and teachers not in our games yet.

they show up after the mods post it, but for whatever reason only show the link while it’s waiting to be moderated.
There might be a difference between how it shows up on a mobile device versus a full browser. Which are you using? I see it in chrome but I haven’t tried it on a mobile. tapebelt could be right.

I am, had my lights up all of July, went a bit early , I know , I know . 🙂
Mine, too. In December, I don’t turn them on for one day. So, my Springfield lights are on all July.
Has anyone else had issues trying to post comments to this blog using either an Apple product, or the Firefox browser? I don’t know if it’s Word Press, or the browser, or a combination. The comment box continually kicks me out while I’m trying to type a comment while using my iPad. Also- this web site often freezes when I’m using the Firefox browser. The only time I’m able to navigate and post comments to the blog without issues these days is when I use the Edge browser.
I run Firefox and have not had any issue.
I have no problems with it using an iPad 4, if that helps…
Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies? It could be some corrupted data or something.
That has happened to me a couple times lately. I’m on an IPhone.
Ok so last night just before bed the EA servers were down here in the UK so I was on here seeing if anyone else was having issues. I suspect this is why I was then dreaming about tapped out and this site! So part of my dream was that I was watching a trailer for “TSTO addicts – the movie”, unfortunately all I can remember from it is the general plot outline ( Alissa, wookie and bunny save a small boy from bad guys and while on the run introduce him to Tapped out) and one scene where wookie, in full costume just like in the site artwork, is driving a car through explosions, chased by copters and all the usual action movie stuff!
So tonight I am going to lay off the cheese and not go on my tablet just before bed but I was wondering if we were to try to start a bidding war between “one hit wonder films” and Krustyloo studios for the script for “TSTO Addicts – the movie” what should go into the story? This time next year we could all be Hollywood big Shots!! 😀📹📽💰
Can I have a funny cameo, a la Stan Lee in any Marvel movie.

Hey, EA – I get that you need to limit outdoor tasks for each character for various good reasons, but how about making most indoor tasks take place in buildings that aren’t often animated? (Or would that cause too much of a load on the game, too?)
The last few events they’ve made sure that characters animate the new buildings (not true with this one?), so I think that would not be the issue. I agree with you, especially for all the brown house tasks that have very obvious replacements.
Condolences on the moving…. it’s a really miserable thing to do (although usually worth it in the end). But that answers the question I was wondering about why you’ve been away from here (mostly) the past few days…glad it wasn’t because you were sick or something!
So, tell us about your new house! What sold you on getting that particular one? What kind of a house is it and what kind of a neighborhood? Enquiring minds want to know! 🙂
TSTO: I’m glad I waited on the Scout Master because I was able to used those saved donuts to get Dr. Colossus and his really cool layer. Unfortunately I’m locked out of two of his tasks and his quest won’t start. 🙁
Social: This weekend we were catching up on bad movies with friends for the “How Did This Get Made?” podcast. It’s a fun time, watching the bad movies and then listening to the show.

Hello TSTO addicts. Issue 3 of Tapped Out has been a good one, but I’ve only just started the game so I’m struggling with some of the tasks. I also broke my iPad downloading The Citizen Kane 70th Aniversarry Edition.
How do you break a tablet by downloading a video? Or did the FBI do that for you?

I just noticed that Lobster Island is in the store. Has anyone picked this up yet? I don’t know why I want it but I like the ocean stuff.
If you got it, is it worth it? Is it animated?
I bought it and think it’s cute. Size 14×9 squares. The lobsters and bouys are in constant motion without tapping. I’m always disappointed with the items that are animated for only a few seconds when tapped.
I went looking for it a neighbor’s town and I found it!
There are some bobbing floaties in the water and two lobsters crawling around on the island.
Has anyone else been having trouble with the Addicts app? Every time I try to type, it kicks me off, and every time, I have to wait about a minute for the page to fully load.

I’ve done them for others many times. Most I did so far was 300+ pic stitch. Time consuming.
And I hope Mr. Bergstrom goes down in flames, because if The SImpsons intentionally tried to to “Simpson-ize” one of my exes (that ended very badly), this would be a perfectly recognizable rendition. Is that a good reason to never vote for him? For me, it’s enough, rational or not. ;P

A lot of controversy in Canada this week as one member of The Canadian Tenors altered the words of our national anthem at the MLB All-Star Game this past Tuesday, to reflect his own personal political ideology. He’s no longer performing with them, until further notice. Then again, they aren’t performing much either as a lot of their gigs have been cancelled by organizers who no longer want them. Seven years of hard work gone in seven seconds. I feel bad for the other three members. I still love their appearance on Oprah, where they sang Hallelujah and were surprised on stage by Celine Dion.

Just unlocked Dr. Crab this morning. Now I got just under 9 days of bonut time. Looking forward to the story continuing on the 19th. I hope they bring in the Abominable Dr. Lenny, especially given we have his lab. Also, won my 99th Social Battle last night, which is significant for me cause I’m a huge #99 Wayne Gretzky fan.
My redesign continues to progress slowly. I’m about 2/3 done. Still need to buy the last new strip of land to make things fit. Also not quite sure what to do with all the extra Springfield Heights buildings. The glitch that got me 33 Deluxe Condos is great for my bonus XP percentage, but takes up so much space. Probably won’t have enough spare land to bring back my Blue Jays logo. But I definitely will have a lot of empty space saved for my hundreds of missing straight long Monorail pieces, as the Monorail will be the crown jewel of my Springfield.
With the Superhero Sequel now setting precedence, I’m hoping for a Monorail sequel. Or at the very least, that they bring the Monorail to stores. I’d like EA to give my neighbours who missed out on it, the opportunity to purchase a bundle with the Monorail, Rail Yard, Metal Depot, Plastic Depot, and Glass Depot for a reasonable price (?350-400 donuts). I’d also like to see the opportunity to buy extra pieces for a reasonable price (?5-10 donuts). With all the bonuts EA has been giving away, I would seriously consider buying over 100 straight long pieces for 5-10 donuts a pop.
What lyric was changed? If it’s too political, you don’t have to say what it was changed to, but I don’t even know where to start…
I’ve been progressing slowly this time, despite hard work. At first, I wanted to always win, because that seemed like a nice record to have, but now I just want to finish faster (don’t even have Bouncing Baby yet). I saw reference to the losing on purpose strategy, but never could find the details of how it actually works. Any chance you have enough patience to go through it again for me? (Gretzky will always be the Great One!). And seriously, regardless of the political statement, you simply do.not.ever change a national anthem. So uncool.
Their is a lot that goes into the losing strategy, which is why it’s the Advanced strategy. It’s a lot harder than just winning; as having a perfect undefeated record is quite easy. I’ll try to simplify it for the sake of a concise reply (note: be forewarned that concise by Safi message standards is a lot longer than concise by most people standards).
Rule #1: Send only 1 character at a time to fight (don’t send a team of 2 or 3 characters).
Rule #2: Try to send a character who is at a disadvantage to the opponents felon (send Brain to lose badly against Brawn, Brawn to lose badly against Tech, and Tech to lose badly against Brain).
Why it works:
When you win, you get 350 event currency. But when you lose, you get 55 and get to keep trying to beat that felon group from where you left off the battle.
Now lets say you and I are both battling three 5 heart Brain characters but you are using the Beginner win approach and I the Advanced losing approach.
You would send three 5 heart Brawn characters, cause Brawn has advantage over Brain. You would easily win and get 350 event currency.
I would send only one 2 heart Tech character, cause Tech has DISadvantage under Brain. I would easily lose after I knock out 1 heart. I would get 55 event currency. But now I can repeat this 12 more times, each time hacking away at them one heart after another.On the 13th attempt, my one 2 heart Tech character would be facing off against just the last one Brain character who would be down to his final heart. I’d now win and get the same 350 event currency you got.
Difference:
You got 350 event currency.
I got 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 55 + 350 event currency (an extra 660 currency per battle).
The goal is to make sure that, by the end of the battle rounds, all of your fighters have lost. (In the process of losing, they’ll whittle away at the felons, so you’ll end up scoring some wins, too.)
To do this, only send one of your fighters into battle at a time. Also, try to have your fighter battle a felon that it’s of the type that beats them (so, for example, send your brain fighters in to fight muscle felons, if you can).
That way, if you have 10 fighters, you’ll earn an extra 550 (55 x 10) of the event currency, on top of the 350 you’ll get for each eventual win. This works best if you haven’t leveled up all of your fighters, but, even if you have, you can still try to lose as much as possible.
(If you happen to awaken at night or something and can let loose a trio of felon groups (when you’re too sleep to actually fight them), that can help build up enough felons to let you lose more. Earlier in the game, you might have had to worry more about not exceeding the 36 felons allowed in the game at a time, but, at this point, you probably have enough fighters that this won’t really come up.)
