Radioactive Man no 8 hour update: I finished the 2nd part of Bartman’s quest and thought it would trigger Radioactive man Quest… since Bartman was communicating with him.. no luck.. all quests done for Bartman (ended with Bartman doing 24 hour ‘Brood”) and Radioactive Man 8 hour “Relax” still locked. I got excited today when I saw there was an update today (stuff was downloading when I touched app.. maybe they heard me and fixed it?) yeah no… 🙁 Still nothing. *sniffle* *sniffle*
For radioactive mans 8 hour task I believe you need to have Kane manor.that’s where he does that task in my town.we got the manor in the first superheroe sevent.
Felt like treating myself, so Bumblebee Man is now mine 🙂

He was my first premium purchase. All the way back when we had new levels.
For some reason the tumbleweed is my favorite NPC. Perhaps it is because I have seen the tumbling across the highway in AZ or the fact that I live in Texas!
I also live in Texas, and i think that’s why MY tumbleweed is in storage. Hahaha.
Tumbleweeds have a love/hate relationship to them. Hate them because you have them, and love them because you don`t. I`m not going further with an analogy on this one…
I remember them in that area years ago as well. Amazing sight of them rolling in a windstorm across the highway. I live in the pacific northwest now so there is no such thing. I leave tumbleweed in my Springfield to remember the good `ol days. Cheers!
Yesterday I saw a little thing on TV about the tumbleweed. It rolls until it finds a puddle of water then it opens up. Then it needs rain to fall on it and knock out the seeds so it can grow. Doesn’t matter how old it is, it will still have good seeds. I had no idea about all that, I just thought it was a bunch of dead sticks rolled up blowing in the wind.

Having that cute little tumbleweed has cured a childhood fear I had of them. A fear developed after watching an episode of a children’s educational TV show in school that featured an abandoned town with creepy music and tumbleweed blowing down the abandoned highway. That scene stuck with me all these years, but my little bouncing Tapped Out Tumbleweed has made it all better.
I like tapping on it. Sometimes I expect something to happen, but it never does. lol
Wait – do you mean real tumbleweed or the tumbleweed in the game? The one in the game definitely does do something when you tap on it.

I didn’t know about the event until I saw a commercial for it last night, and now it’s basically too late to do anything significant in the event.
I have always felt it is an EA mistake to not give in-game notifications at the start of a new event. It would also be cool to have a “kill switch” to eliminate an event if we don`t want to play it anymore and just go back to our regular Springfield. I love all the special events (+/-) but if one event irks someone the wrong way, why should they be stuck with it for over 30 days.
I’m not able to complete a Challenge of upgrading a fighter because they’re already at Max Level. All were at Max Level several days before the Daily Challenge and now I have 2 challenges I can’t get to because of this. Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks
Click the X in the top right corner and get a different daily challenge. May not be as good for your game, but it will free them up from something you can’t do.
I had the same issue, this is how I moved on.

You don’t have to do the Daily Challenge they assign you. In the top right corner of each Daily Challenge task is an ‘X’ that appears when you hover over it. You can hit that ‘X’ once every 24 hours per task, and it will randomly select another task. Often you luck out and the subsequent tasks rewards more donuts.
I do less than half of the original tasks they assign me, as I always ‘X’ it out unless it’s for donuts or event currency in the early stages of each Act/Issue. I haven’t done a single task that rewards Finite Gems or that rewards money.
Sometimes it sucks cause the alternative task will be to send a group of characters for a task and the reward is money. So they are unable to be sent for tasks via the Unemployment Office, as they have a yellow task pending. But I patiently send them manually until I can reset the task again the next day and am always rewarded for my patience with a great task that rewards 3 or 6 donuts the second day.
You can hit the little x button to get a different daily challenge. Try that
Click on the X of that daily challenge and it will give you a different second challenge.
Just tap on the x to cancel that task and get a different one!
I am having the same problem and I can’t X out of the challenge for another . I’d appreciate any advice to help.
Is it possible you already used the ‘X’ on that task in the previous 24 hours? You can only use ‘X’ once per 24 hours per task.
You can only x out one task per day. If you’ve already done that in the past 24 hours, you’ll need to wait until the timer resets. Fortunately, you can have up to three tasks waiting to be done or traded at a time, so waiting until tomorrow should be no big deal.
I think the last app version fixed the problem with having to download the entire DLC every so often. I haven’t had to since then and I have even filled up my device again to the limit (which is bad, but unrelated to the game). I think the only issue might come when there’s a DLC patch, but at least that’s a slightly more predictable occurrence.
So: TL;DR: yay!
Yep, “no space” when a patch is required, but still better than at even more random times.
Got a lot of finate stones serving no purpose?
I had to dismiss/swap yesterday’s daily challenge, which was to upgrade superheroes. All of mine are at 5 stars and I’m not spending donuts on another just to complete a challenge. Plus, the prize was more finite stones. I’ve got finite stones coming out of my wherever. Can’t use them, cannot stop earning them.
is there anything we can do with them besides upgrade a fighter ??

I am really enjoying the return of the graphics in this event, but does anyone else think the drawing of Homer on the splash page looks really odd? It bugs me every time I start the game. I wonder why they would draw him that way? RachelS
Is it just two female Super Heroes, compared to the ridiculous number of male SHs…
not defending it, but theres barely any female characters in this game, and even less with SH skins from the show
Yeah – based on some very rough calculations, it’s about a 2:1 ratio of male to female for the characters in general (not including animals).
And there are 3 female fighters (not including felons) in this event – Clobber Girl, Bouncing Baby, and Charcoal Briquette.
Just achieved Maggie’s costume, forgot about her, ta for the reminder. I know EA was seemingly making an effort to include more female characters especially in the later level upgrades but the SH seems inordinately weighted. ..
I think that corresponds to the ridiculous number of males in the world.

I am a bit confused why everyone thinks an Olympic event is coming! Has there been a teaser, trailer, clue or something that I missed? Or is it because the Olympics 2016 are coming up? I REALLY want a movie event! I have written it out and sent it to EA. How cool would it be of they put it in the games?? Unlikely though 😢
I was wondering this too. I could do without an Olympic event, so I hope it’s something else.
But I’ve had Gymnast Lisa practicing her balance beam routine every night for weeks! She really wants to compete in a Springfield Olympics!

It’s one of my absolute favorite animations in the game! I saw it in a friend’s town just a few months after I started playing, and I wanted it that skin so badly! Took quite a while before iit came up for sale, but I snatched it up as soon as I saw it. She also does cartwheels all over town for her 1-hour task. 🙂 🙂
I haven’t seen a teaser. I’m just making an assumption based on the fact that the had the flags during the Women’s World Cup last year, they’ve always had holiday-themed events during holidays, a mini-Pride event during Pride week, etc. Also the fact the game was in it’s infancy during the last 2012 London Summer Olympics, and (minus some Curling in the Canada episode or the Ski trip which is already in the game) they lacked the material for a 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics event. Based on all this, I hypothesize this may be an ideal time to incorporate items out of their rich summer sporting and/or Brazilian history.
I doubt that we’ll see an Olympics event. After all, the Olympics are on NBC and Tapped Out is affiliated with FOX.
And the IOC owns the Olympic trademark and I don’t think they ‘sell’ the rights cheaply. Would cost EA a lot to have an Olympic event…
They could try having a ‘games’ event but even that could be construed as trademark infringement so not sure EA will risk it…
The Simpsons has never had any problems appropriating anything they wanted, either directly, or by inference (e.g., the “Mapple” store).
If they wanted to do an Olympics event they could just call it the Springfield Olympics and have the logo be five intersecting triangles.
anybody else notice this, when im waiting for the three friend battles to reset i cant wait it out by jumping from one friend to another, i have to go to my own springfield then directly into a friend’s springfield after its reset or else itll never reset
Yeah, a lot of people were having problems with their 24 hour timers early on in the event. It led to a lot of confusion regarding when the 24 hour clock reset, I kept mentioning this as a reset mechanism, as all my battles always reset from the first one of the previous day, so long as I went back to my Springfield and then to my neighbours. Fortunately myself and others picked up on this right away. It’s the only reason I haven’t missed a day and got to victory #102 yesterday. EA should have done better to clarify this if they weren’t going to provide a countdown timer for it. But really EA should have just provided a countdown timer.
no i have a timer, i use cletus farm to keep up with the start time. i know exactly when its supposed to start, but it went from a more efficient system where i could hop around between two friends to now having to go back to my own and hope i time it just right
Oh, for me, it never worked hopping between friends. Since Day 2, I’ve had to go back from my Springfield.
Well, well, well… Issue 3 is definitely the most challenging one – and that includes most previous events as well. My A game has usually been quickly several days ahead after about three days into an Act/Issue, but this time I’m barely managing to stay one day ahead of the calendar.
I’ve managed to complete Issue 1/2 in my B game a day or two before its end with somewhat limited play (just 2 daily felon fights after work and over the night), but Issue 3 will definitely not get finished without taking that device with me (or switch accounts) during the day as well in order to do 4-5 possible felon fights. Therefore, I’m just going to aim for Maggie’s costume and then be done with Issue 3 in the B game.
In retrospective, I’m kinda angry about not crafting all possible stuff in Issue 1 in order to collect enough for Charcoal Briquette. In retrospective, I would have had enough anyway.
I accidentally purchased dr. Colossus. I was checking on event stuff and click on him I guess. Now I’m down to 14 donuts and I don’t even know who he is in the simpsonverse nor do I like the look of his building. Is there any way to return him or am I out of luck?
You could try to contact EA and see what they do. Make sure you go into your settings in the game and turn the confirm donut option on. As for where he comes from, I have you covered there.

I don’t get to watch much TV with my little one. I’m sure we will fill in my Simpsons gaps when we watch together once he is older 🙂 I decided to keep the character and building.

I am also hoping for a monorail sequel. I only have a monorail in my town because I had extra donuts when the Christmas station was released. I’m not sure what else I was playing, but I didn’t play when the monorail was in town last time. I need more pieces than the 10-15 the Christmas station gave me.
Finally cleared my task list for maybe the first time in two years.. Then I hit the maximum Boardwalk tiles a couple days later. I decided to clear out over 200 blue houses and replace them with the 16H houses.. Spent 50M just to do it. Aside from events, my daily play is down to a check in every 12-16H. I can’t believe I’ve been working towards the “end”, even though I’m only at level 290.
I am down to… 99 tasks open. Hheheheheheheeheheh

I love it so much. I’ve been following this woman’s career since the very beginning and I’m so proud to see how she’s doing now. She has overcome so much unwarranted hate, prejudice and bias just because of who she is, yet every time someone tries to knock her down Britney rises back up and knocks it out of the park again!
Finally, after all these years, she is resuming the level of artistic control she used to have back in her In The Zone/Toxic days. It’s so good to hear a song that SHE wrote and is passionate about releasing, rather than an EDM club banger like Work Bitch which is how her label would have wanted her to typically start off a new album era with. Can’t wait to see what other songs she has in store for this new album!
She is an amazing artist for sure! Poor kids were made to fit a mold due to Disney and try their hardest from that point on to break out. I see it time and again.

She was my first teenage crush (I specify teenage crush as I grew out of the “girls have cooties” phase early and had several pre-teen crushes towards Alyssa Milano as Samantha Micelli on Who’s The Boss, Tiffani Amber Thiesen as Kelly Kapowski on Saved By The Bell, Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner on Full House, and Danielle Fischel as Topanga on Boy Meets World).
We were both young teens and I thought she was gorgeous. But my older cousin tricked this young naive fifteen year old into believing Britney couldn’t straighten her head. Check out all her pictures from the ’90’s. Her neck is always tilted such that her head rests on a shoulder. She is definitely not one of the best singers in terms of vocal abilities. However, as an entertainer, she has revolutionized the industry. Whether fir the better or worse is quite debatable, but there is no denying her impact on pop culture.
This latest resurgence is quite fitting, seeing as how all my past crushes have been reappearing lately. Alyssa Milano with Mistresses, Tiffani Amber Thiesen with White Collar, Jodie Sweetin with Fuller House (who looks even hotter than when I had a crush on her, or do I still have a crush on her?), and Danielle Fischel with Girl Meets World.

Ah yes, Amy Jo Johnson. Add her to my list as well. She was recently on a great Canadian crime series called Flashpoint. It ended after 5 or 6 seasons, but definitely worth a watch.

Last night I watched Radioactive Man, Husbands and Knives and Married to the Blob. I remembered Radioactive Man from when it first aired (but didn’t remember the Scoutmaster) and I had never seen the other two. It was awesome to see all of the things that are in this event! I pretty much stopped watching in 2002, because that was the year I got married, and my wife doesn’t really like the Simpsons. I felt like the quality was going down too, so I didn’t make time to watch it.
For a very long time, the Simpsons was one of my favorite things and it still holds a special place in my heart, even though I don’t get the chance to watch it anymore.
That sounds great and fun. I don’t think I could watch Married to the Blob. It would make me desire getting Kumiko in the game even more.
Well, I’ve had Kumiko since she was first added and I didn’t even know who she was since I had never seen that episode.
Been a while since I’ve posted during these. Been a very rough few months. I bought a Jeep back in March, between buying it and fixing it I spent about 3,000. Five weeks after getting it on the road we blew the engine. I have nothing left I can put into it.
While installing a new toilet into our only bathroom I discovered that the sewer pipe has a crack/hole and needs to be repaired/replaced. Trying to find a plumber to actually return a phone call, let alone let me know how screwed I am (can I say “screwed” on this site?) has been fun.
On the plus side I was picked in the online lottery for If/Then tickets in Boston. Got awesome seats really cheap and enjoyed the show. Managed to meet the star afterwards and get a photo and autograph.
I’ve been enjoying this event so far, doing pretty well. I do think that having played the last event really gives me an advantage. I got everything last time and am well ahead of pace. My wife played last event, but didn’t get all the characters and has been struggling. My son wasn’t playing last time and has no chance to get everyone, despite trying his hardest.
So I’ve managed to save over 600 donuts. It’s funny, I find myself being more selective having a bunch then I was when I had very few. I won’t buy a regular character without it being on sale and am really picky about getting any limited ones. Been on the fence with the Scout Leader. His best tasks being times I never use kind of stinks.

That is funny as I feel the same way. I am level 939 after taking advantage of the `glitch` back then and raking in over 1700 donuts. I thought I would go on a glorious spending spree, but that has not been the case. After all this time I have only spent 450 donuts. I love what I buy, and spend a lot of time thinking about what I should get next, and if I should. I have played this game from almost the beginning and there is so much I don`t have yet. Good lord, I am going nuts over finally pulling the trigger on Bumble Bee Man. A no-brainer right? Well… Those precious donuts… This game cracks me up!

I’m like Lone Ranger. As a freemium player, it’s really hard to pull the trigger. It took me nearly three years before I finally bought Hans Moleman few weeks ago. I’ve never seen him on sale, and given his low price and availability in the Mystery Box, figured he’d never go on sale.
Personally, if I was in Lone Rangers position, I would hold off on buying Bumblebee Man until November and the Black Friday sales. I was able to splurge on multiple characters last sale. If there is a limited-time character you love, I would spend on that. But as for the regular characters, you’ve already waited this long, what’s another four months? There are several characters I am hoping will be on sale this Black Friday and am piling up the bonuts in hopes that Arnie Pye, Herb Powell, Frank Grimes, and others I don’t have all go on sale this November.
I’m saving up donuts for a sale like that, too, but if one is still working on Springfield Heights, Bumblebee Man can be helpful to have sooner rather than later.

It would be nice if you could chose you money mountain level like you can with various other buildings (I.R.S, Radioactiveman giant head (forgot whats it’s technically called)’ and others of the like). I’d like to have it where the crane tower is hovering over the mountain and it’s not quite full.
I will never upgrade my money mountain because I want the crane to be showing! I have the MM in my “Studio City” part of town, and I think that would be where the intro for the old cartoon “Duck Tales” would have been filmed.*
*assuming that it was filmed in an animated world and not hand-drawn in the real world.

This is probably addressed somewhere so i apologize in advance, but can you store all your springfield heights buildings and still get the hidden xp bonus?
Anything you put into inventory will not count to the Conform O Meter. It has to be “active” in the game
dang, so many identical buildings that are just a clutter. finished billion $ and wanted to wipe this horrible waste of time from my memory lol
So just store them. They shouldn’t make a HUGE impact to you. 🙂
if i wasted this much time with this stuff and can add 100% to my XP, might as well leave them out…just did not know if it was like real estate $ that stay even if you store
Well, depends on how much you care about free donuts…the 150% extra (over and above the Conform-o-Meter) that it gets you on your XP, can really help to keep you leveling up frequently.
There are actually singe nice ways to decorate with those buildings…maybe you could search out past Springfield Heights show-off posts and/or check around to see what your neighbors have done.
That said, it’s very hard to have ALL of them out and looking good with the small amount of space EA opened up for Springfield Heights. I’m afraid the next land expansion is going to come with new Springfield Heights tasks, so that any new land would be taken up with new content. I hope not, though, since I’m forced to keep a small number of those buildings in inventory (unless I’m running the collider), because they just won’t all fit (the way I have things set up).
yeah as i am taking all the heights buildings out they take up a massive amount of land even if you dont space them at all
I’m hoping the next proper land expansion is o the right of screen not down below as it has continuously been. They could add a permanent range (think Shelbyville event) for another area or a river or things of the like.
I need that right space to open up for my town development plans
Well I have been very careful on spending my donuts so far however tonight I got a snake I went ahead & got Dr Colusses, & I hate it, went right into inventory last time I do that.
The mountain is so evil I do not like that stuff in my town.
We have enough of that in real life.

Oops, my bad. Episode 1 of season 27 showed tonight and my tv guide said it was new. But turns out that was last season 😒 Regardless….the commercial, Superhero Sequel themed. It was pretty cool.
I wish I’d seen it! But it seems kinda cruel to lure new folks in with a superhero-themed commercial when the event is almost over….

I noticed they switched Pie Man’s and Radioactive Man’s spots I the splash screen.
I’m not a fan of comic books or superheroes but I must say I’m enjoying this event. I do agree with some of the others though that the events go on a little too long. I’m hoping for an Olympic event that starts and ends with the games. It could be Olympic/ Brazilian themed.
Olympic theme would be cool. I could see battle competitions to win medals
While I think an Olympic/Brazilian event would be cool, please please please no more battling. I found both this event and the Tap Ball event to be incredibly tedious because of the battling. I prefer the dreaded wheel to this!
No wheel experience for me, but the gambling in the Casino event was worse than the fighting here. At least with some strategy and skill you can actually do something, whereas the random nature of gambling (I assume the wheel was very random) meant that it was like I might as well not have been playing. So, I prefer this kind of battle system, but I might also prefer something else completely as I’ve mostly been fast forwarding through the battles….
I liked both, but for different reasons… I like three battles, because you need to strategize to maximize your results. (Much prefer these battles to the tap ball ones, for that reason.) Liked the casino games because they gave you something fun to do and root food and you could do them whenever you felt like….I really wish they had kept the casino games active after the event, even if it was just structured like the race track or something, where you pay a little money for the chance of making more.
I actually really liked the casino event and the wheel. I guess it’s the gambler in me.

I know people have had complaints about the game not working for them, so I thought I’d post something I find odd. My husband is having a ton of connection and lagging problems with the game. I’m having very little trouble at all. We’re both on the same sort of devices. Anyone have any input on why this might be the case I just got the final social prize today; he’s thinking he won’t get there before the end of the event, because he’s had so much trouble doing neighbor visits.
Memory. A Fuller town with more active animation going, like characters on outside tasks, NPCs, animated fountians,etc… all drain memory. Think of all your device has to do to make all that appear on your screen. Less is always better.
How many apps are active and running in background of the device draining memory too? Pokémon? Twitter? Facebook? Etc. All pull memory leaving less for TSTO… so kill the other apps. (Think rush hour traffic)
How much space is available in the device internal memory? Less than 2gbs? Less room equal less space usable for the app.

Thanks for the confirmation Bunny! I had deleted a bunch of unused apps off my phone and won’t upload more. He keeps telling me to upload apps and I won’t (LOL). Granted, he uploaded a bunch that are relevant but he’s I think got a LOT more on his phone than I do! I suggested that but I don’t think he took me seriously.
Hello! Has anyone else had a problem with crashing? I can’t visit friends without it crashing every. Single. Time. I’ve even tried deleting & reinstalling the game, & my iOs is updated.

Since the start of issue 3 things have been slower for me as well. More crashing, one even crashed my phone into a full restart. I’ve removed a lot of animations but it had little effect.
It happened to me for a few hours on fri or sat. Today, Monday it is working fine for me.
Something that I am wondering: I purchased Radioactive Man, Collier, and Doctor Colossus. Unfortunately they have tasks that are unavailable and require a quest. Will EA unlock them? Have they done so in the past? If anyone knows, thanks in advance.

Another weekend of deck maintenance. Power washing, setting all the nails below wood height, applied deck cleaner. Need to start sanding everything. After that it will be lightly colored stain and then waterproofing. This will be another few weekends of work yet.
I spent the afternoon doing the exact same thing. Gah, what a lot of time spent on something that will only need to be done in a year or two.

I’m 58 and retired 3 years ago. So I try to do something that needs to be done and adds value to my life. I haven’t cleaned and done major maintenance to this deck since 1998. It was do this or replace it in another ten years.
Yes I like to DIY too but tends to procrastinate. Hope you finished your project successfully!
A couple weeks ago I tired to figure out how to put the world and the stupid people in perspective. I realized that the percentage of people that frustrate me or do horrible news worthy things is incredibly low.
There are over 7.4 Billion people in the world, over 324 Million in the U.S. so durring the course of the day I’ve give a possability of 10 people irritating me and I count. When I get to 4, I tend to forget what the first two were about. (I’ve never remembered getting past 5).
So in the end there are Millions/Billions of Great People that are good, peaceful, and smart enough to keep away from ticking me off.

this works whenever Terror hits, whenever someone drives poorly, when someone says “Litteraly” when it makes no sense.
Even if you want to figure how many people live in your town, it’s amazing to realize that only a very small fraction can ruin your perspective of humanity.
If you had to thank ten people for every ONE that annoys me I’ll probably wind up on someone annoying persons list :p

Hi. I stopped myself from writing a less encouraging reply to you. You can count that as a win. The gist is that I might be a little pessimistic…or as I call it, realistic. But, don’t let that bother you. Unless making lists makes you happy, then go ahead and put me on your list. I like lists….
One of my jobs is shift manager for a busy food pub. If a customer comes in who is rude,awkward or just plain disagreeable the staff make sure me or my friend get to deal with them and this is what we do. We kill them with kindness. Every complaint,petty moan,unreasonable request is met with calm politeness, gentle words and smiles. Normally you can win them over.
You’re bang on and the vast majority of people in the world I think are decent people. Sometimes even good people can have bad days and react badly. Don’t react the same way,meet people with peace and love and it will get returned to you.

While I got bombarded with 250+ emails when the 4th of July update hit, I suspect it will be much lighter today asnothing major has hit our games. If you guys start moderating comments within an hour or two, my guess is 80 to 100 emails. 🙂
