Update: Some of you are reporting having issues collecting trash from the Dump. You’re also reporting that Homer cannot collect trash. Both the Dump and Homer should work. Check to make sure Homer is free, and you’ve progressed through any Monorail questlines in your task book. Also, make sure you’re not full at the dump. It only holds 2,000…so if you’re over that it won’t work. If you’re still having issues, contact EA.

Time to remove the super from Springfield and return things back to normal…well as normal as things can be in our pocket sized Springfields. The removal update is live in our App Stores now…all devices
Remember, if you’re not quite ready to remove the update from your game you don’t have to. You’ll get some extra time before you’re forced to update…just remember, you’re playing on BORROWED time. Once the force update hits you’ll be locked out of your game, no matter where you are in the prize track (or bonut collection) but you update.

You can now purchase the felons in the store…for donuts (is anyone surprised? lol)

In my main game I was awarded Felon Pack 1 for free…but that’s the only game I completed the entire event (and social prizes) in.
You’ll also get a Soilant Red Factory that’s restored…so no more destroyed factory. (and yes there are different skins for the factory…and yes several of them include Pinchy)
Now…onto something about the Monorail….
If you ALREADY played the Monorail Event and have the Rail Yard you’ll see this….
Sebastian Cobb: Eureka! I have figured a way to extend the Monorail into the mountain range.
Homer: It’s about time!
Lisa: How did you manage to do it? I can’t wait to find out what marvelous technology you’ve devised!
Sebastian Cobb: Yes…about that…
Lisa: You’re just going to pile up garbage to make a ramp aren’t you?
You’ll see a new list of tasks setup at the Rail Yard for you to complete…
You’ll notice a new look to your Daily Challenges….
Just complete the Rail Yard as you have been doing..and instead of Donuts you’ll get the Tunnel for SH:
Once awarded the Tunnel will allow you to connect your Monorail from Springfield to Springfield Heights…FINALLY.
Also a couple of Monorail items are back in the store for purchase…like Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant and the Monorail Cafe. Oh and Uriah’s Heap Recycling Center.
If you haven’t played the event & don’t have the Rail Yard you’ll see this.. (must be Level 20 or higher…)

Apu: I used to lure in customers with the smell of hot dogs. But the stench of week-old decaying meat…it just can’t compete with the smell of all this trash.
Cletus: I used to be able to find my house on account of all the trash piled up in front of it. But now that’s every house. I got no idea which one is mine. I’ve been wandering around on the streets for weeks.
Homer: We all have, Cletus.
Lisa: We need to build the town dump.
Homer: Good idea, sweetie. Is there room right next to Flander’s house?

So here’s the deal…you’ll need to Gather Trash and use that Trash to hand in projects at the Rail Yard. From the Rail Yard you’ll get Blue Prints. Those Blueprints will equate to you unlocking the Metal Depot.
I’m going to break more of this down in another post…since there are many of you this will all be new to, but for a lot of us this is old hat. Give me a bit and I’ll have a full explanation post up.
And that my friends is the quick rundown of what reappears with the Superheroes Takedown Event! Take your time with this…it’s not limited-time, so there’s no rush.

It sucks that we have to buy 4 of the super-villains even if we got them as prizes during the event. They should have all been free for people that earned them during the neighbor battles.
We don’t! The two that we won as prizes are the two that we got for free after the event, I believe. We didn’t get all of the supervillains as prizes…
Well, we won 4 of them from the social prize track, but they were never characters in our Springfields (NPC or otherwise). Interestingly, of the two I got (starter pack 1, I believe), 1 was from the prize track and 1 wasn’t.
Yeah – I think we all got the same ones for free…I just misremembered which ones we earned. I knew Meg Aherz was one of them, but I clearly forgot what the other one was.
With the exception of felon pack 3, they paired the first felon we earned with one we didn’t. So in order to get all the felons we earned on the track we have to buy both packs. That stinks!
Doesn’t bother me…I chose the Orphan Alley skin without the felons fighting, because I found that animation tedious and out of place in my town outside of the event.
How are you able to “change” the skin? I accidental stored the Orphan Alley and now I dont know how to change the Skin. Simply tapping the Alley wont show anything except the time till it earns some cash.
Having stored it, you may be out of luck…. I’ve seen several people post to say that, when they stored the alley and then took it back out, they lost the felon pack 1 felons (or, in other words, the Civil War skin). I don’t know whether it’s a glitch that they lost it or a glitch that we got it for free to begin with.
But, if you have it, you change the skin for that “building” the same way you do for any building…when you tap it, you should see the options and you can swipe to whichever “look” you want.
Thanks, I think it was a Bug/Glitch, because since the last UpDate I can change the Skin again (I’ll see the different options)
I completely agree with you. As it wasn’t easy trying to do two prize tracks at the same time!
Do the felons have tasks ?
So many comments about EA getting rid of the donuts. Just wait for next week, you will get more than you expect!
Hi Addicts. Can you unlock more than one tunnel? I had a load of recycling resources stored up so only had to use a few donuts to unlock one this week. I’ve not tried to connect track yet, but I can’t see how you could get the track back into regular Springfield without a second tunnel.

Hmm, OK. Has anyone tried to get the track back to Springfield again? Does it work as a 2 way track?
Monorails can go back and forth… unlike a train, when a monorail reaches the end, it reverses direction. No need to make a loop, although I suspect there will be an opportunity to make another tunnel next week, for those who want to do so.

I have a couple freemium games going, along with my premium game, and finished the event in all of them – but I only got the Felon pack 1 for free in my A game, not the other ones. Does anyone have some insight what the prerequisites are to actually get them? Can’t only be the completed event.
You have to have achieved all of the social prizes I believe. In my b game I finished the prize track but not the social prizes and did not receive them.

Everyone can the tunnel
I had an odd glitch: After the update, all my monorail tasks completed all at once (including the tunnel, which seems to be placable only at certain spots).
Apart from completing 3 days of gathering waste, I also ended up with 400+ metal and 200+ plastics. Oddly, glass was not affected.
Seems I can earn another tunnel next week (not sure how many you can earn in total, seems a bit overkill to have more than two…. but I also ahve waaaay to many railroad pieces)

I don’t have way too many monorail pieces, I just have WAAAAAYYYYY too many curves and bendy pieces. Need lots more of straights

I think because the totals needed during the “old” version of the rail yard were higher, anyone currently working on it got bumped up. Once I updated, I was awarded rail pieces and was very close to getting the tunnel (got it yesterday afternoon).
Normally, if I’m not able to get to the game often, I complete the rail yard for my 5 bonuts around Friday. I think the final total we needed was 70,000.

I’m level 109 and after the Superhero task had the Monorail start up again. Like some others I am having issue as I cannot actually collect ‘trash’.
Iv been able to do some blueprints as I had a full junk yard from last year, but now it’s empty, I cannot get any of my characters to collect trash??

This is my first play through of the monorail event. Anyone have any idea if once i have completed the first prize track that i will then be able to earn the tunnel

I just made it – with a little bit of borrowed time. Now I’m just hopinh for a bit of down time so I can rearrange my town and place some of the new buildings properly.
What, you mean you don’t just cram them wherever there’s some empty space? I thought that’s how I was supposed to do it!
Another change that came down with the hard update is a dialogue box that comes up when launching TSTO on older iOS devices that as of August 16th you will no longer be able to play on that device unless you update to a newer iOS, if supported on that device?
I’ve been playing my ‘C’ game on an iPod Touch 4th gen which Apple does not support past iOS 6.1.6 so obviously if I want to continue playing I’ll have to either get a new device or shift my ‘C’ game to another of my devices.
Does this mean that the next event will hit exactly on August 16th? (I know there’s the bad news for people with older devices) but the good news is that people can be lax with the game if all they care about are major events.
Hopefully the game won’t get so sluggish that I can’t play it even though my device will still be supported….
I just realized that I bought Jesse and now he’s very much not needed to help with the Rail Yard, nor do I care for his help if I’m not getting bonuts. Maybe he’s paid for himself by this point (especially during the event), so let’s just call him free. Happy again. 🍪 😉

Looks like the ability to store buildings to free up characters is back. But the Simpson mountain and mansion reverting back to minimum level still happens when playing the turtle smacking game.
And the Players Club Tower from the Casino Event! I have to change their skins back every time :/

I’m living on borrowed time: less than 500 crab cans or, 10 donuts to buy Dr Crab. Tough choice – spend only 10 donuts or risk waiting another 4 hrs for Orphan Alley to spawn Felons…
I did a run through my neighborinos then another sweep through my town and got the remaining down to 200 cans, or 5 donuts. I spent the donuts! 🙂

Dump is not working
Has anyone noticed that the Satellite Station now has an animation? When you tap it, it shoots lasers from the bottom. Is this new or was I just slow to notice it?
I don’t know…. but if only they’d have done that before, maybe I would have bought it. Is there a shadow now?

Dump is not working.
My Springfield dump isn’t click able at all. I played the previous monorail event but didn’t get the rail yard or Sebastian Cobb… So I wonder if that’s the glitch-there isn’t a trigger in my game to trigger this event?

I don’t think so, I think after the five week even it goes back to normal. I was curious about it so I looked it up online and that’s what it said. But it’s never a guarantee so keep your fingers crossed 🙂
Ugh – five weeks? I was hoping it would be back in two. How many monorail tunnels does a town really need? I would think two would be quite sufficient.
Oh well…I guess it will be nice taking a break from frequent playing for a while (unless another event pops up in the meantime, which I’m thinking will happen, because lots of folks were around during the original monorail event and don’t have anything to do now).
Don’t stop playing though, i think weeks 2-3-4 it’s awarding a bunch to donuts if you already have the monorail stations. More sprinkles!!! Hooray!
I suppose I should be miffed that I missed out on bonuts by 22 crab juice before the forced update. Or the fact that the monorail has temporarily suspended the 5 bonuts weekly award. But I have earned 165 free bonuts through day 2 of another round of house farming, so it’s all good.

The Soilant factory has gotten larger after the update which is a little annoying for me as it was perfectly place in the top corner of my town in the industry area with the monorail going around behind it. It’s 1 tile section bigger now from top to bottom (not sure what you would call it as its not really height but is). I need to change a mass amount around there now if I wish to have it looking the same.
Argh.
Also I’m not seeing any difference with some of the skins you now have for it with a few of them seem to be doubling up! Like whats the point in that??!!
It wasn’t bigger for me. It did make me replace it but it fit right back to where I originally had it, so it couldn’t have been any bigger.
I did also have to rebuild and replace it and I went to put it where I had it but it does not fit anymore and I hadn’t moved anything.

Second that question. Some of us want to keep a loop and thus require TWO tunnels! I have one loop on each side of the mountains, or two different monorail currently but would be willing to connect the two into one loop, one monorail. Come on EA, give us a PAIR of tunnels!

What ever goes in must come out if I remember things correctly.
Bought it’s a monorail, not a train….it issues the same track to go both ways. When it hits the end, it just reverses direction. There’s only one train per self-contained track layout.

I think in Week 5 we get a second monorail tunnel 🙂 I was curious about that too! I looked online today and that’s what its saying. **fingers crossed** that its true! I’m starting a re-design banking on the fact that we will get the second one in a few weeks 🙂 🙂

As far as I can tell, they just duke it out, with no interaction. They’re decorative, really.
I wonder how to get event to leave my game. I have downloaded the app but my game has not changed. Very frustrating! When will the tasks, etc leave my town? I am tired of tapping criminals and playing battles! Please give me some advice! Thank you.

i cant tap the dump, have 0 in stock. i was able to send 1person to the metal depot. i have metal and plastic, but can’t click on the project board either. if i click on one of the depot’s it says no junk, do it? when i click do it, i get a “header” that says springfield dump, with an arrow, thats it… 🙁
I think there is a glitch happening at the moment, a few people (myself included) have mentioned the dump not working for them too. 🙁
