Update: Some of you are reporting having issues collecting trash from the Dump. You’re also reporting that Homer cannot collect trash. Both the Dump and Homer should work. Check to make sure Homer is free, and you’ve progressed through any Monorail questlines in your task book. Also, make sure you’re not full at the dump. It only holds 2,000…so if you’re over that it won’t work. If you’re still having issues, contact EA.

Time to remove the super from Springfield and return things back to normal…well as normal as things can be in our pocket sized Springfields. The removal update is live in our App Stores now…all devices
Remember, if you’re not quite ready to remove the update from your game you don’t have to. You’ll get some extra time before you’re forced to update…just remember, you’re playing on BORROWED time. Once the force update hits you’ll be locked out of your game, no matter where you are in the prize track (or bonut collection) but you update.

You can now purchase the felons in the store…for donuts (is anyone surprised? lol)

In my main game I was awarded Felon Pack 1 for free…but that’s the only game I completed the entire event (and social prizes) in.
You’ll also get a Soilant Red Factory that’s restored…so no more destroyed factory. (and yes there are different skins for the factory…and yes several of them include Pinchy)
Now…onto something about the Monorail….
If you ALREADY played the Monorail Event and have the Rail Yard you’ll see this….
Sebastian Cobb: Eureka! I have figured a way to extend the Monorail into the mountain range.
Homer: It’s about time!
Lisa: How did you manage to do it? I can’t wait to find out what marvelous technology you’ve devised!
Sebastian Cobb: Yes…about that…
Lisa: You’re just going to pile up garbage to make a ramp aren’t you?
You’ll see a new list of tasks setup at the Rail Yard for you to complete…
You’ll notice a new look to your Daily Challenges….
Just complete the Rail Yard as you have been doing..and instead of Donuts you’ll get the Tunnel for SH:
Once awarded the Tunnel will allow you to connect your Monorail from Springfield to Springfield Heights…FINALLY.
Also a couple of Monorail items are back in the store for purchase…like Little Lisa’s Recycling Plant and the Monorail Cafe. Oh and Uriah’s Heap Recycling Center.
If you haven’t played the event & don’t have the Rail Yard you’ll see this.. (must be Level 20 or higher…)

Homer: This town is filthy! We built all these dumpsters and garbage cans but no way to empty them.
Apu: I used to lure in customers with the smell of hot dogs. But the stench of week-old decaying meat…it just can’t compete with the smell of all this trash.
Cletus: I used to be able to find my house on account of all the trash piled up in front of it. But now that’s every house. I got no idea which one is mine. I’ve been wandering around on the streets for weeks.
Homer: We all have, Cletus.
Lisa: We need to build the town dump.
Homer: Good idea, sweetie. Is there room right next to Flander’s house?

So here’s the deal…you’ll need to Gather Trash and use that Trash to hand in projects at the Rail Yard. From the Rail Yard you’ll get Blue Prints. Those Blueprints will equate to you unlocking the Metal Depot.
I’m going to break more of this down in another post…since there are many of you this will all be new to, but for a lot of us this is old hat. Give me a bit and I’ll have a full explanation post up.
And that my friends is the quick rundown of what reappears with the Superheroes Takedown Event! Take your time with this…it’s not limited-time, so there’s no rush.

Can i get two tunnels to springfied heights? I am only one-way cant make a loop back to springfield.

I think you’ll have the chance to earn another tunnel sometime in the next few weeks. But you really don’t need one for your monorail to return to Springfield…it reverses direction when it reaches the end of the line, so it will return through the same tunnel it left in.
You completely missed the point of the monorail if you don’t feel an obsessive need for the full loop.

Are the felons in the 30 donut packs regular characters with tasks and stuff? Having 2 extra chars in my town for 30d would be nice and not that expensive. But I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
No they just have the animation at orphan alley
monorails dont line up with tunnel a simple fix just let us move tunnel a small increment at a time .I have really worked at the monorail and I cant move the whole trail loads of folk have the same problem its all over google search please sort it thanks patsy
You’ll need to ask EA that – no one here works for EA or can make any changes to the game…all of us, including the moderators, are just players like you.

They don’t have a visible timer but if you really want them, I wouldn’t sit on them since I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go.

Anybody else having an issue where it’s impossible to make the tunnel line up with the rest of your track. I hope EA makes it so the tunnel doesn’t need to jump four spaces when you move it. Otherwise I’ll have to destroy my entire town to lie it work.
Yes! My mono rail track will not line up with the tunnel, it’s off by half of a short track piece. I even tried to move one of my stations that little bit and all of the track in between but it just transferred the gap farther down the line. What to do?!
I had to move every piece of track one half a short piece of track one space toward the mountains to get everything to line up. It took a couple of days but there was a minimum of major movement in buildings needed. I also made the track go to my proposed new tunnel when I get it and started laying connecting track in SH.
You just need patience and more track pieces. I had the same problem but with the right number of curves (ie – lots of them) you can mathematically manipulate the areas your track runs to. You are actually REQUIRED to use imagination. I had to rejig my track layout only in the new zone and the rest of my track in regular Springfield has not needed changing except at the entrance points.
My tip: use roads as a track guide, incorporate road corners into design – because you have 4×4 squares of positional play at any stage on a road.

Same here, it was just slightly off and I had to pull up all the track through my entire town and re-lay it back down for it to line up. That “turn off” feature really helped though. I was able to store just the track and stations and none of the other decorations or buildings. It did take quite awhile to get all set back up.
I wish Radioactive Man still had the fight Pinchy task, as it was cool to see the lasers shoot out of his eyes.
I could care less about the tunnels to SH, as I never go to that part my Springfield, and would nuke it if I could. I am happy about the lower blue print cost for track though, and should get 5 track pieces weekly, where before I was lucky to get 3.
Fights using Radioactive Man were never sped up, & my grandson had to watch😊
OK, time to sit down and document what happened in my “B” town.
I was in Krustyland when I was awarded my Soliant Red factory and I had the option to place or store. So I thought “COOL !!!” I can put it in KLand. Well, when I placed it, another offer to place/store a factory popped up, Next thing you know, I had 15 factories in my KLand !!! But I was not able to close out of it. I stored another 15 factories and then force closed the game. When I started the game up, those factories were now in my Springfield and they were actually laying over other buildings. So I moved them and here is a picture:

So, I have my first tunnel… does anyone else have an issue with alignment against existing monorail builds? It seems to be half a small straight segment misaligned from my build and it looks like I’ll have to rebuild my entire monorail if I want it to align with the tunnels. Thoughts?
I don’t know, but if it is, you can try moving everything 4 squares at a time with area-select.
The tunnel appears half a space off from my existing track, am I missing something?
I’m so glad the landing zone was placed back at the Simpsons home. I remember that happened another time and they patched it back to the SH Tunnel. Please leave it, EA! Landing at the Simpsons home means we get to see great variety when visiting neighbors. It’s much more pleasant than looking at a mountain. Mountain isn’t even tappable.
With the recent updates, Radioactive Man’s 8 Hour task “relax” is now available to me.
This is the best thing about this update! EA finally listened and fixed it!
Just got an update that seems to have fixed the Garbage Dump glitch.

I finished the social prize track, but I don’t have all the felons I earned on it except the last one. My film studio & other prizes from that track are still in my town though. Do I really have to purchase the felons I already earned? 🙁
You only get 2 for free but only if you’ve earned all of the social prizes. So in theory, yes you’d have to pay for them.
I was rewards the Fellon pack1 and I could see it, but then I stored the Alley just to check if it can be stored and now the Fellon pack is gone and I can’t find it anymore in my storage.
I believe it’s a facade for the alley, try tapping the alley and see what pops up
I tried, but nothing happens except the information how long it takes till it earns some money. I even tried to store and place it again – nothing.
EA – Please let us rotate the Soilant Red Factory.

I am wondering what happens with the blueprints from little Lisa’s plant when you have completed the prize for the week? Do they stock up so you are ahead for next week? My guess is after a few weeks the rail yard will return to its bonuts status and if the plant earns 450 every 4 hours that’s several thousand blueprints which makes the rail yard grind a lot less (I haven’t bothered doing it while events have been on) Does anyone know, not that I will be up to 200 sprinkles for a while yet!
I didn’t have the sprinkles to get it the first time around, so as soon as it was available, I snapped it up😊 I hope it stockpiles blueprints, but even if it doesn’t, I still thought it looked cool in my neighbor’s towns😊

Nelly, unfortunately there is no accumulation once you’re done for the week 😕 I do think that EA should make it pay out cash once we can’t use it for the week. I’m going to stop using my premium characters for recycling, unless I am cutting it close to the timer running out. Might as well take as much advantage of the extra blueprints as we can 😊 I still am happy I bought it, I love the animation😀

Already saw one person apologizing for accidentally vandalizing someone. I still think the whole thing is silly….buy some training walls and move on. (And if it’s that you don’t like the look of it, then tap on it and make it go away.) But, whatever….
Man…am I ever tired of getting monorail pieces that are NOT straight. There needs to be a way for us to trade in all these squiggly track pieces for recycling credits or something. The hit rate on straight track pieces is like 10%. Its super lame.
Looks like, based on the images, that the first 3 or 4 prizes are all straight pieces. Only the last one comes in a mystery selection truck. I think everyone got their wish. My guess is that it’s either long straight or short straight…that’s the only mystery. But, I’ll have to check my counts when the game starts up again next week.
It takes a long time, I’ve got 100’s of track pieces in storage because I want more long straight ones. Love the name btw 😂

Tasks related to prizes will not disappear. Tasks directly related to event game play will.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but Cookie Kwan now has a 16 hour task at Dr Lenny’s Lab ‘Host an Oen Evil Lair’, Burns’ has a 4 hour task ‘Recall Childhood Memories at Wholesome and Son’s, Smithers with a 2 hour task ‘Evaluate Unused Property’ at the Summer Mansion and Homer with an 8 hour task ‘Mourn a Chummed Chum’ at the S R Factory. Also the Satellite Station now shoots lasers. 🙂
The teaser for future events makes me think people who wanted an Olympics event might get their wish (a knock off at least since I’m sure EA wouldn’t want to pay licensing fees) It would be cool to get Lisa’s pen pal or maybe use the tap ball stadium again for something. The doppelgangers from another time and dimension makes me think that players who wanted a Futurama crossover might just get their wish!
I was hoping those doppelgangers were pokémon themed…but that probably doesn’t make sense. Eh, maybe it will be people and pokémon both…

Honestly, I don’t see a date. But I’d think 5-7 days from launch. You may miss out if it’s not until next weekend. But I can’t say for sure

I’m gonna have to upgrade one of these days, ‘cuz my device just doesn’t have the memory to cope with my town anymore. I’ve had to store a lot of stuff, but it still crashes regularly while I’m harvesting.
Oh joy… My Dump doesn’t work either. I’m another one who started late so got the dump but didn’t get the rail yard in time… so possibly that’s the cause. Don’t like my chances of getting any actual help from EA so looks like I get to miss out for a second time…
