Does Superstition Run Your Springfield?

OCD-Main

Maybe it’s the sports guy in me…or maybe I’m just nuts.  But, like it or not, I have fallen into some patterns that started out as “funny little quirks” to keep me from getting bored with the game, and have turned into full-blown “I’m afraid NOT to do it now” patterns that could be labeled compulsive, superstitious behavior.

Like I said. I might be nuts.

But, the fact is, I need Grandpa to keep feeding the black hole to keep my Springfield safe. And now…I need Mona by his side, and Sherry Bobbins in the energy field!! If I don’t, I am not sure that my day in Springfield is going to turn out OK.

It’s not all as crazy as it seems. Really. No. Really…

Let me explain…

Sports players and fans are known for superstitious behavior.  There is myriad anecdotal evidence of fans who need to wear a “lucky shirt” or players who won’t shave or get hair cuts during the playoffs. This was never portrayed better, than the head-case of a father,  in the movie “Silver Lining Playbooks” who was so superstitious about his football viewing/betting rituals, that it caused a huge family riff. Great movie…and as DeNiro’s character said about superstition, “It’s only crazy if it doesn’t work.”

And, I am convinced that it works. So much so, that I have added to my list of “Characters Stuck Doing One Thing Forever.”

It started innocently enough, when I realized that if I had Grandpa “Feed the Birds” and placed the bench near the “Little Black Hole”…it looked like he was actually feeding pigeons into the black hole. That made perfect sense, because anyone with a modicum of physics understanding knows, if you don’t feed a black hole, it can gobble up everything around it. And no…I am not wild about the news that the Chinese are building a Super Collider that is supposed to be three times as powerful as CERN. They have not proven to be responsible with technology, and the whole “rip a hole in time/space” thing bothers me. But, I digress…

OCD-Super

The fact is…I started keeping Grandpa feeding the black hole, on a 24/7 basis. It became an obsession…and has been for more than three years. Read that line again. Three years.

Unless I am FORCED to use grandpa in an update (which is thankfully rare), he is there. And now, since her introduction, and have a task to “Feed The Birds” with Grandpa, Mona (or her ghost…or her external consciousness manifestation if you are still going with the time/space bit) is there beside him. With Sherry Bobbins floating just beyond the “Quantum Maze” near my Mapple Store and across the street from my Collider, the trio of balanced quantum forces is complete.

Grandpa has been in my town…feeding pigeons into the black hole, since my earliest playing days with the Halloween 2012 update when the Super Collider was introduced.  Sherry came along as one of the first and worst examples of the dreaded “wHell” concept that EA used to have in place back in 2013. She stays aloft…because she represents the worst of EA, and she has been floating, due to getting too close to the strange physics in that region. She will never touch the ground if I have my way.

Go with me here. If there is a supercollider in Springfield…and it is run by Springfieldians, and they let a Black Hole escape…there HAS to be some other physics weirdness in that corner of town. It is where the Mapple store sits, after all. And Steve Jobs is certainly haunting it, which would also explain why Sherry is perpetually suspended there, and why Mona can just “Hang” with one foot in and one foot out of this space/time.

Nuke My TOWN????   I don’t think so…Bub.  There is serious quantum physics going on here, and it isn’t going to change any time soon. As far as I’m concerned, it all exists because I OBSERVE IT. Just like Schrodinger’s Cat…which I swear sits on my back deck when I am of the mind to see it.

All if this would have been fine. But, then the whole, “Keep them doing what seems safe for the town” bit got out of hand…even by my standards.

OCD-Beanie

It started with Cocoa Beanie. I hate Cocoa Beanie. He is Soooooooooo random!!  He was introduced along with the “Ah Fudge! Factory.”  He is argued to be “non-canon,” but he does make a really short appearance in a Simpson’s episode. But, I found him wandering around the Elementary school once he was in my game…and there is just no way to know who is REALLY in that mascot costume. He gives me the creeps, with his weird walk, and painted on smile. And so…he is perpetually pummeled by kids in front of the factory.

OCD-HermanAgnes

There are less obvious reasons (to some) that I have Herman, forever selling black market jeans in front of Herman’s Antique Military, or Agnes, in a constant state of “greeting customers” in front of the Sprawlmart.   I have Herman selling something other than firearms, mostly because his introduction to the game, and any reference to him always starts off some crazy 2nd Amendment debate.  I have Agnes there, as a reminder to myself that if this blogging thing doesn’t work out, I always have a fallback job as a greeter in my old age.

OCD-Mindy

The reason for Mindy being kept  “Working on a Tan” is simply because I think she looks hot in her bikini…and I have Radioactive man “Shirking His Responsibilities” because it reminds me that looking at hot girls on the beach, is in fact doing just the same for myself. Better him than me.

OCD-Park

And finally…my latest addition…Teddy Roosevelt constantly stirring up the wildlife at Springfield National Park, next to the trailer that I hope to make mine after my last three weddings are paid for, and I can drive into the sunset.  Some would argue that shooting animals in a park setting is kind of crappy…but as I live right next to the REAL SPRINGFIELD here in Oregon, and gun shops, pawn shops and ammo stores are far more plentiful than forest conservation offices in that place. It just makes sense to me.

Now that I have revealed a less-than-normal approach to the game… I have to ask you, WHAT STRANGE QUIRKS DO YOU HAVE as they pertain to TSTO? What do you do to quell the “gotta do this every day” bug that starts to settle in when you find yourself in “wash, rinse, repeat” mode with the game?

Tell us what YOU do…we love to hear from you! (see…these guys are rubbing off on me!)

  1. OMG I have the same ‘issues’ with Cocoa Beanie!!
I have him perpetually being beat up for the same reasons.

I also *must* keep Herman selling jeans and the space mutant eating out of the dump while watching himself on the drive-in theater! Which is always playing.
Cleatus is usually digging around in the dumpster next to him for kicks. Thanks for sharing your crazy!

    • I think the phrase is, “takes one to know one?” LOL!

    • I agree! CBeanie is just SO creepy! He’s always getting beat up by the kids in my town. 😎 RachelS

      • I hate Cocoa Beanie too and that whole opening quest line with him (?) dating Ms Hoover gave me the willies. I don’t even like the visual of him getting beat up, he used to constantly host factory tours but now I keep him animating my sponsored church that had to become competitive once all the new casinos rolled into town.

  2. This is awesome. Great idea for a post. My quirk is I like to have as many visual tasks as possible on the same street crammed next to each other.
My town is a disaster since l started a redesign last year! So sorry neighbors. I just moved again and hopefully I will get it done after I am settled here. I hate messy towns and I’m one of them!

  3. What is this “wHell” concept mentioned in the post? I have been a player for at least that long but it doesn’t ring a bell. And Google isn’t helping.

    • Two events where you earned prizes by collecting currency and then spinning a wheel. Christmas 2013 and Easter 2014. Not popular at all.

      • Ah! Thanks for clarifying. I didn’t hate Krusty’s wheel that much, but I did despise that some prizes were so damn hard to get. Why couldn’t it have been rigged to pay out like the “1 in 100” donuts odds for Krustyland?

        • Well…it was annoying, because it WAS rigged. There were algorithms that were assigned to your profile…so some of the prized (like Sherry) were next to impossible to win, without donuts. So…THAT is why she flies forever!!

  4. Right now I have Artie Ziff forever on 24/7 jury duty because his other task questlines haven’t opened up yet. The same with Mrs. Muntz. She’s cleaning the aisles for 10 hours all the time because her questlines haven’t opened up yet. Other than that, I have all my characters do all their assigned tasks and all their premium character costume functions in a continuous cycle. So I guess that last one counts as my quirk as well. Lol

  5. I have Akira always making me a bonsai. I have upwards of a bazillion by now but it’s something productive that a character can make for my Springfield.
I also have the realtor lady on her 8 hour task that pays 1000 equity (or whatever the Springfeild Heights currency is). I don’t need the extra value as I have already reached 1 Billion.
It’s also fun to get Miss Slringfield, Mayor Quimby, Teddy Roosevelt, & Abraham Lincoln to do their tasks that are in front of City Hall. It makes it look like they’re all debating each other.

    • Ah….So you are one of the TSTO Mega-Rich!! (at least in bonsai plants). Very cool. For a couple of years, I kept Miss Springfield in the motel, because I liked the tawdry animation. But…gave it up when I matured.

  6. I constantly have all of the necessary characters going to keep my Las Vegas section lit: Kent Brockman, Disco Stu, Lou, Selma, Mr Burns, Lance Murdock, the whole Terwiliger clan (Opera stage is in Vegas), Mrs. Krabbabble, Freddie Quimby, Dr. Hibbert and Rainier Wolf castle in order from water to edge of land.

Nice to know other people have the same issue.

  7. I used to try to “trap” as many people as possible on the boardwalk. Works only with characters with stationary outdoor tasks, like Shari hanging on her umbrella, Laura doing gymnastics or Wolfcastle checking his shoes. The easiest ones are those that use a bench or any other decoration. You just send them on their task and move the bench to the boardwalk. For the others, you just have to wait til they make their way there on their own. But with every new event the whole thing goes kaputt, and by now I have all but given up on that particular obsession.

    • I used to do this all the time lol

I know it’s childish but it always made me laugh to make wolf castle look at his shoes a day and a half and remove the boardwalk so he’s staring in the water lol

  8. I really don’t like cigarette smoking in real life so Edna, Paddy, Selma, Mrs Muntz all miss out on their nicotine hits, and it doesn’t matter if that puts them out of sync with other characters. It’s odd because I don’t seem to have a problem with other unhealthy – or even criminal – activities!

  9. Whenever everyone has finished their tasks and you get someones icon to go to up in the corner of the screen that’s the last person I’ll clear. Good to know we all have quirks

  10. I have Stampy and Mr Teeny on 24hr tasks every day synchronized with the 24 hr crop at Cleatus farm and the 24hr broadcasts at the tv and radio station bldgs.

    • Same. If you don’t have an 8 hour task (I think it’s 8 hours) you get a 24 hour job.

Crops I have at 90 days and send Witch Marge to Speed Up crops, although I don’t know if she actually does or not, and if she doesn’t, don’t ruin it for me please….

I’ve noticed I have routine on how I clear items when I open up TSTO. I start at the end of the boardwalk (bottom right of my screen), clear the boardwalk, then move onto Springfield Heights, and work my way around along the beach, up the mountains and back to Springfield swiping up and down along the way. Then, once back in Springfield, I’ll start at the base of the mountains just before SH, work my way up the mountains, and then down and up going towards the right. If I miss anything, I’ll get the notice on the top left icon and then just clear those out.
As I go, I’ll play the Find Maggie game, and bet on the horses and go karts, picking a random winner each time and scratching off the Scratch-R at the Kwik-E-Mart along the way.

    • OMG. I thought for sure that was just quirk of my own. LOL!

  11. Patric I like post can I have name for tapped out my is dhesip200330

  12. Well, I’m not so much into tasks, but I DO need to always add trees! It may sound odd to mention, but I started early on making sure there were bushes/trees between every building. There is nothing more disturbing then visiting a neighbor and seeing a jumble of buildings placed haphazard with no trees! LOL seriously, it makes me a bit crazy. It’s so bad that I have stopped visiting some neighbors because of it!

I also like to keep event buildings and decorations together into zones. It is fun to see the progression from mid 2014 till now starting with my castle from the Clash event placed against the mountains through Superheros 2 at my southern border…

    • You and I are in agreement, Jo… It’s the REAL reason that I keep getting the “you have reached your limit” for items in my town. I am one that will sacrifice a building for a well-placed tree! But…I am from Oregon!

      • Tracy - 1ltwoody920

Back in the early 1960’s, the schools in Medford/Phoenix gave out the evergreen trees. Did you get trees in your area?
I drive by the old homestead and see those seedlings which have matured into towering Keep Oregon Green monuments.

        • We DID!!! And my grandfather owned a nursery, so he donated loads of trees to our area. I always hate to see one go down, but there is a Redwood in my parents back yard, that started out as a seedling in a “Science Fair” project I did in 2nd grade. It. Is. Huge. Funny what 54 years of growth will do for a tree!

  13. I try to keep Lucille Botzcowski robbing the Bad Dream House whenever I can partly because I love the animation on the house, but I also like the poetic justice of somebody robbing a house that turns out to be haunted.

  14. Maybe not particularly superstitious but I have 6 Quik-E-Mart in my town. I don’t like it when Apu is working in any other market than the original location around the corner from the Simpsons home.

  15. I like to have Mrs. Quimby giving Joe an earful with Teddy giving a speech, Lincoln giving an address, Miss Springfield opening an event, and Jessica (?)Lovejoy TP-ing the statue all side by side.

  16. Hey Patric. One of my neighbours has his Bad Dream House lit up almost all of the time. So my question is: Patric, do you know which character has a task there, to make the House light up?
    Thanks.
    Dave B

  17. I too have themed heights areas. Old west and redneck, side by side.
No specific character tasks, other than timing what suits for events/ waking up etc.
I do, however, have lotsof ‘zones’. Industrial, residential, kids, etc.
I would love to be able to ‘confine’ characters to zones.
Would take much too much programming i’d assume, though.

    • Agreed…I have had to resort to things like “swapping benches” when Mona or Grandpa walk off. Let them start the task, and then move the bench where it belongs next to the black hole. It may seem like cheating…but the safety of my Springfield relies on it!!

    • I have specific zones in my town too that I section off with rivers so they aren’t touching lol. To go a step further I will spend hours on my town trying to make it as close to a real functional town as possible. Buildings that don’t have a place get put in storage…no matter how much I love it or if I spent money on it. For me, if I think it doesn’t make sense it’s getting stored. (Like the ice palace) Oh, I also have a bad thing with balance. I have to have balance in my town whether it’s with color, symmetry or space. I swear it’s not an OCD thing. I think I’ll just call it an artistic standpoint lol.

  18. Hmmm. Witch Marge is always speeding up crops of Silvertongue, Astronaut Barney always blasting off, and Botzcowski has been hiding from Wiggum for months now. Basically I use the 4 hr task at the Unemployment Office as its really the only way I can tap while at work…..stupid responsibilities. The only task I would purposely initiate would be Wizard Martin battling CBG (my fav) until just recently. I love CBG’s superhero skin so recently has been quite a conundrum…. #thestruggleisreal. On the subject, I also clear my town in hashtag fashion lol.

If we are talking football however, there isn’t enough time to list all the bull$#!+ I put myself through. Even though it ain’t worked in 13 years!!! So stoked for tipoff tonight. Haven’t been this excited for A LOOOONG time last year was the first time in forever our season wasn’t over after week 4 😫😫😫. Here’s to a competitive year for all my fellow NFL fans out there!! Let’s go RAIDERS!!!!!

    • I feel your pain (in a relative manner) in that my daughter and her boyfriend who live in SF, got season tickets this year. He is a lifelong fan, and is “feeling that this year is different!!” Let’s hope you guys are right…

      • 1st time in Raiders’ history to sell out season tix……lets show the fans how much we appreciate it by moving to Vegas. Grrrrrrr. Well, at least it isn’t SoCal. Sorry Wookie, nothing personal 😁

        • No worries here… I’d love for the Nation to go to Sin City. Until the Rams left, that was my team and then I moved to the Bolts. After 22 years, I’m a die hard but a good amount of my pals are back with the Rams. I think it’s the crazy fans of the Raiders that always turned me off. I distinctly remember my mom (also a Chargers fan) getting in a tussle during a Monday Night game with our rivals at Jack Murphy. It’s a good rivalry though. Strange things are afoot in Cali football right now.

    • Go Raiders! We had season tickets back in the LA Coliseum days. This year is going to be so fun (for a change). Can’t wait for the season to start.

  19. I always choose the longest odds in every race. And whenever opening a box for bonuts, always right to left with a light ‘pause and tap’ action until 3 are revealed.

  20. I don’t do it with my characters but I do have a certain way of decorating. I have an area made just for teens to keep them out of trouble. I have turned my Springfield heights into themed world, I have Halloween town,Christmas town, easter, town and when they give more land there will be ole town, an adventure town. It reminds me of who framed roger rabbit when u go through the tunnel and its cartoon world. Those r jst a few to name. My dearest friend says I think way to much into it. She don’t get my madness 😜

  21. I too have Cocoa Beanie getting a perpetual beating at the Factory. It brings me joy. Also, Jessica Lovejoy has been TPing Jebediah for about a year and a half, while Chalmers has been lost in the wilderness since early 2014. And the French Waiter will never, never stop pratfalling.

  22. I have several tasks that I have to reset right away because their location is important to me, and I get super irritated when the character starts wandering off and I need to store their building and place it in the right location again. (Or some other way of relocating them, as I have several.) Let’s see…
My Shari Bobbins also has a permanent home, but it’s over the ocean, near the islands with the crashed plane. It makes it look more to me like she’s actually flying somewhere, and it also looks like perhaps she caused a plane to crash behind her, which is thematically appealing. I’ve removed the squidport tiles that used to be under her feet, so she tries to walk to shore if I don’t reset her right away.
I like Maggie to be in the Stonecutter Daycare yard, either with her Gerald doll or her boombox. I know she’s a very capable baby, but she’s still a baby, and I like to have the sense that she’s safe at daycare while her parents do other things. I have to use a brown house and her one hour task to get her back inside the fencing after we play hide and seek.
Whenever possible, I like at least three stonecutters to be singing at the table. Not for the safety of them or my town, just because I really like the task. I also have a certain order I like them to sit in. I really wish more of the stonecutters had an option to sing at the table. Lenny and Carl would be great to fill in for Homer and Krusty, who are often needed for events.
Sherri and Terri hang out in my mall courtyard on their cellphones. Again, not for safety or anything, but to make the mall look somewhat inhabited.
Jesse Grass does yoga in the middle of my park, near the giant redwood. Again, to make the park look inhabited and because it seems like he would rather hang out by the giant tree than do most anything else.
Also in the park, Skinner bird-watches under a tree that’s right next to the big butt skinner balloon. It mocks him every time he looks up.
Barney is passed out in the road between Moe’s and a Krustyburger, like he couldn’t quite make it to the food in his drunken state.
Grandpa constantly feeds the birds in my town as well, but it’s mostly because I like the task. Occasionally, he takes a nap instead. But I do keep him on a bench behind the retirement home. I have Jackie Bouvier on another bench next to him, knitting.
Patty and Selma are on a forever smoke break in front of the dmv, because I know they hate actually working, and it seems like if they could blow smoke in everyone’s face instead, they would. Resetting their placement is easy, I just send them to work at the dmv and then store it and they’re standing right in front of where it goes.
Patches and Poor Violet, along with Chester, are always panhandling outside my Helter Shelter. Cletus is usually digging through trash behind the shelter.
Pin Pal Apu is always polishing his bowling ball outside the Bowlorama.
Lately, the Space Coyote has been right outside the pow-wow casino, guiding the tribal chief on his vision quest.
Frink is testing his flying saucer gizmo right in front of a crashed flying saucer near his lab.
The snow monster is trying to sweep up the mess around my city dump. That’ll keep him busy for awhile.
The Hippie plays hacky sack near Woodstock, which happens to be near the farmer’s market and the recycling center.
I like to have Luann dressed up in the flag outside my city hall, but she loves to wander away quickly and her building is huge so I don’t always reset her placement. Her other visual tasks get some play when she doesn’t cooperate.
Gabbo and Cregg Demon perform on my Vegas strip. I tried to place Demon so the hell skank he summoned would walk into one of the casinos while vanishing, but I couldn’t get it to work because he faces the wrong way.
I set up a ring of Easter eggs behind the Wiggum house. Ralph plays wiggle puppy inside it. (The only thing I miss about the first easter event is his task to hunt for eggs, which was even better in the ring of them.) Anyway, it keeps him from starting fires.
That’s all I can think of right now. There are plenty others that I keep going for the visual, but don’t necessarily go out of my way to make sure the placement is just so. Or I can’t control the placement because the task is attached to a building or makes the character wander.

    • HOLYFREAKINSHIRT!!!!!!!! You win!! That is amazing…and takes a lot of organized thought. And yes…I hate it when a character tries to “wander off” from the destiny I have concocted for him!

    • This sounds more like a job Doc. May need to ask a colleague for an MRI…. minus the tinfoil hat lol. As long as it brings you joy, keep on keepin’ on 👍

    • Oh my, what a great list! When I have the time to set individual tasks my list is probably about this long. These days, with so many characters, I often resort to using the unemployment office to set tasks. 😎 RachelS

  23. My main thing is that everyone who has a premium outfit must wear it at all times. Every week, after the railyard is done, I have to round up all my recycling workers and put them back in their premium outfits.
I used to pick and choose tasks, but I have 145 characters now, so it’s very time consuming. Mostly I just use the Unemployment Office to send them on tasks now.

  24. Ah… a “Realist.” Have a post about that somewhere in the archives. It gets harder and harder to be one, with all of the odd additions to our towns.

  25. I’ve noticed I always tend to clear my town the same way. From the starting point I work my way to the right then work my way around the outer rim then zigzag through the center. Not really a superstition but more of a habit. Oh, and astronaut Barney is always blasting off!

  26. I always thought Cocoa Beanie was a strange addition to the game. There are so many other much more important characters that still haven’t been introduced into the game.

I feel that EA has gotten off the tracks a bit lately with the character additions. EA- if you’re out there reading any of this……..Please give us more of the core characters. Bleeding Gums Murphy, Wendell, Rabbi Krustofsky, any of the Phil Hartman characters, etc.

    • All FAR better choices!

      • BTW: I see you’re an Oregonian. Me too (Portland area. I like to remain at least a little bit anonymous). I also see that you’re a Duck. BOO! My wife is a Beaver, and I’m a Husky. I hope both teams beat the Ducks this year. It’s about time you guys got a paddling.

        • Well……… I have paid for the right to root for either the Ducks or the Beavers. Literally! I have paid for 3 Duck and 2 Beaver tuitions…and my wife has graduate degrees from both. For me, I root for Duck football, and Beaver baseball. As for the Dawgs?? We’ll see. It has been a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time since they beat us. But, if you believe the polls, this could be the year. We’ll see how Hoke’s new 4-3 does on defense. If we can keep opponents to 25 points or less, we’ll win a ton of games. Loads of skill talent on O…including Royce!

          • When I went to Washington, we beat the Ducks all 4 years I was there. In fact- back then, we didn’t even see the Ducks as much of a competitive game. It was like playing the Beavers. Too easy. I graduated from U. W. In 1986. My wife hates the Ducks. I’m too crazy about them either.

            • Well…the year I moved to Eugene, 1983, was the year of the infamous “Toilet Bowl” game between OSU and Oregon…0-0 tie (back when ties were allowed). We didn’t care at all…for years. Up until the year we went to the Rose Bowl…with a run that started with the infamous Kenny Wheaton “Pick” (against the Dawgs), you could walk up to the ticket booth before a game…or even after it started, and get a ticket for $12…and the stadium was half full. When we went to the Rose Bowl, “Uncle Phil” noticed…and everything changed. But, of course you know that! LOL! I am a Duck fan, because I live here, and love the Nike swag. But, I am not a season ticket holder.

        • Tracy - 1ltwoody920

          What portion of “Portland Area”?
I spent 6 wonderful youthful years in Phoenix.
My father, born and raised in The Dalles, moved back ‘home’ for his last twent years – and I got to know his town of Canby very well.
And the surrounding area as we explored east, west and south of Portland as well as Powell’s – I could/have spent HOURS there.

          • I was raised in Parkrose…near the Columbia river. Go Broncos! LOL! I moved to Portland when I was three, and still consider it “home” even after 33 years in Eugene. But the traffic in Portland is awful…same freeways that were there when I was in High School, with about a zillion more people!

          • I prefer to keep some of my demographic information private. I don’t mind the question. I just would rather be a little anonymous. I hope that’s OK with you.

          • Tracy - 1ltwoody920

Perfectly fine to remain more private about exact location. Just curious as to the general section as I am somewhat familiar, in general.
There is the wine country area of Portland
            The River area
            The Mt Hood area
            The south area
The Million Dollar Outhouse area (that’s what my dad called it)
Whichever, it is pretty, even if traffic is building.

        • Tracy - 1ltwoody920

p.s. I almost went to Corvallis, OSU, go Beavers!

        • Great area to live. I spent a few yrs in Vancouver, WA and spent plenty of weekends in good ol’ P-Town. Did a couple year stint in the Eugene/Corvallis area as well. Love the evergreens up there but not enough sun for me, too depressing. I’m definitely more of a Cal guy than any other Pac team though.

  27. I try to keep Springfield Elementary and the Simpsons’ house far enough away to justify Bart and Lisa taking the bus to school.

  28. I have Shredded Ned perpetually working out or trimming hedges.

    • It sounds like there may be more to this than you are letting on. Ned? Shredded…but very much left-handed. Not that there is anything wrong with that…

  29. For me, I always have Abe Lincoln splitting rails outside his cabin in the forest, George Washington trying to chop down the cherry tree behind the Buddhist temple, Teddy Roosevelt hunting wildlife in the National Park, and Number 51 eternally singing the Stonecutters song (mainly because I like all their animations and I feel it best serves their characters).

Now that I think of it, I’ve also found that I constantly keep Cookie Kwan on her Springfield Heights task, Sherri and Terri bouncing in the inflatable play house, Wes Doobner perpetually twirling his lasso and Petroleus Rex attending the Clamphitheater.

    • Ah. A man after my own heart. I keep Abe mostly doing the same, just out of respect. He looks ridiculous in the Hawaiian shirt and shade…for a guy that “saved the Republic.”

  30. I’ve nuked and rebuilt a couple of times, and every time I do it is a requirement that Lard Lad, Android’s Dungeon, Moe’s, King Toot’s, and The Aztec are lined up as they appear on the loading screen.
