EA Servers Down

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

Popping in with a quick message.

As many of you have been commenting in the last 2 hours or so, you’re locked out of TSTO.  You may be seeing this message (thanks Ernesto for sending this in):

It appears that a certain section (or several certain sections) of EA’s servers are currently down.

This is not impacting everyone, I’m still able to get in and many of you have reported the same.  Which is why I think it’s just certain areas of the server.

My best advice is flood EA with calls, emails, chats etc if you’re locked out (try via EA’s website if it doesn’t work in game).  The more people that complain 1) the more likely it is to get fixed quicker and 2) the more likely EA will extend Act 2, if only by a day.

Fingers crossed it comes up soon for everyone!

  1. I was too busy playing the new Fallout 4 DLC to notice, I just checked and we seem to be up and running here in Maine. :-j

  2. Considering the math for Act 2, I think it’s a given that they’re going to have to tweak it in some way, after this issue — either by adjusting the requirements to reach President Lisa, or by adding a day to the Act 2 schedule. (Recent precedent would suggest to me that it’s more likely to be the former, rather than the latter.) That’s probably going to mean a mandatory update will be coming very soon — which will almost certainly also include a fix to a certain “glitch” that is presently to our advantage… so if you’re still using that glitch, (as I did, myself, admittedly) you may want to consider yourself on notice: it’ll probably be gone soon.

Don’t know if this is related, but around this time I opened the game and I was logged off. I logged in and I had no friends- which was great because I was at the top of the Leader Board.
    😂😂
I closed out, re-opened the game and all was back to normal. My friends were back!

  4. EA and Blizzard were both being DDOS attacked yesterday. All EA games were having login issues because of the group making the attack. Telling people to flood EA with email and contact would not in any way help that problem. Perhaps you should check around before you say stuff like that.

    • Perhaps you should read what I said…I said flood them for 2 reasons. 1 so they know what’s going on and who exactly is impacted and 2 (and this is the important one) so they’ll hopefully issue an act 2 extension.

So need to be a jerk about it.

  5. No problems here in the UK! 🙂

  6. After a good night’s sleep it’s working again this morning. So missed one “shift”, I hope that is still catch-upable.
I will be extremely annoyed, though, if I end up missing it by that much.
