Ah Autumn…leaves are falling, that crispness in the air has arrived and there’s a brand new season of TV on! Ok so it’s fall, and it still feels completely like summer (at least here in New Jersey) BUT…the last part is true. There’s a whole new season of TV shows…and the Simpsons Season 28 starts this Sunday! To celebrate the Season Premiere EA has launched a fun Episode Tie-In Mini Event in our games..something to gear us up for Sunday. So bust open those wallets, because there’s a store full of premiums just waiting for you!
Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks as awesome as this because it’ll be gone soon. But don’t sweat it! That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.
Wondering if you should add the Retro Lard Lad and Laird Ladd to your Springfield? Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this pink donut shop to your Springfield…

-120 donuts is a decent price for a character/building combo

-Very short questline, only 3 parts.

-Retro Lard Lad is fairly large in size..and really how many Donut Shops does 1 Springfield need?

I think this is a good premium buy. 120 donuts is an ok price to pay for a character/building combo. He has some fun tasks and Retro Lard Lad looks cool. So Premium players I think you should pick this one up…
Freemium
On the Freemium end of things, this is going to be one of those if you like it grab it. It’s an ok price, but it’s not at a must buy price. And Halloween will be coming up very soon. So evaluate how many donuts you have and if you really like this combo If you like it and still have a decent stash for Halloween grab it, otherwise pass and save those donuts for Halloween….
Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do. And I can tell you I already own it. I got it as soon as it hit the store…I really liked it and thought it was a decent price for the combo. Of course whatever you decide just remember this is limited time and will be leaving our games very soon (October 4th). So if you’re thinking about grabbing it, do it very soon before it’s gone for good!

I wonder if this can be placed on Squidport. That’s where I have the boat and truck. I’d be tempted if it can be placed there.
Interesting that we went from having no wheelchair characters to two within a short amount of time.
I picked it up pretty quickly. Oddly enough I think the retro design will work well with what we got during the last event and will help flesh out a future area of Springfield nicely.

I like it for my Springfield Heights area, but I spent some bonuts recently so like you said “I’m on the fence with this one” :/. Besides that thank you for all your help 😉
It’s def. an interesting building but I’m passing. Like everyone else, I want to save my donuts for Halloween and Christmas. If I had bought that Donut Truck, Boat, and Shop, I might’ve gotten this to have a little pink donut area but I feel like this will look out of place in my town. But still a cool item, can’t wait to see what else is in store! 🙂

I like Pink, especially Pink donuts . So I bought it. The character made me sad though, reminding me of the mortality of life.
On the fence about this one, leaning towards no but I’ll see if the episode will endear him to me more. They should have added more mint green to the building.

Freemium pass for me. Halloween is coming and I already have five “normal” LL which I cannot sell.
Why don’t you just put them in your inventory?
Always a possibility and normally one stays in there, but I try to keep as many money generating buildings out as I don’t farm and have not yet had the funds to purchase all of the land.
Oddly enough I was kind of excited when I got my first LL in a mystery box.
Perhaps I am just cranky to be cranky today…. get off my lawn!
Even though I know that Halloween is coming up, I just had to have this. If I were on vacation somewhere, I’d definitely want to visit this donut shop! My town would be full of donut shops if that were possible…but, sadly, I only have three at the moment. Now I need some more fun-colored buildings to place around it.

I REALLY wanted this when I first saw it because PINK!!!! But I try not to buy character combos of characters we hardly know. Plus I now have SEVEN freakin regular Lard Lads (got another one this week in a mystery box after completing 5 dailies) plus the one that we get as a prize soo I think I have more than enough for now lol.
After 200 or so mystery boxes, still couldn’t get a LL 😫 and refuse to buy a MB or a LL outright. I DID however pick this up because I really want one and it came with a character. Think I like this one better than the regular LL but I’m still hoping to get one in a free MB (and a mini nuke). Still waiting for one of those as well 😕

Lol yes!!! I just couldn’t get a free LL no matter what. After I read this I figured I would finally break and purchase the building, after all it was the retro edition and for all of us freemium players “must” (when spending hard earned donuts) come with a playable character. I ran to my yellow poison and found that a LL was being included in the quest :0 Do I now obtain my quest based LL aaaand bust out donuts for retro LL?? Ooooor save for Halloween premiumness??? lol

If I can figure out where this will fit into my town, I’ll likely get it…. I’m happy to see that Laird Lad had outdoor tasks for two of the three most common durations that I use. But, with the addition of the new Lard Lad that we’re currently working on for the event, finding a good space for this one, too, is gonna be tricky…
Bought it as soon as I saw it. Just liked how it looked as well as it came with a character. I’ve got it on my squidport, was very happy to have it not take up land. Ready for THOH.
Easy freemium pass for me. Not a fan of either the building or the character.

Wow ! I’ve fallen totally in love for this one without any particular reason, so much that I’ve done my first ever premium purchase just to have it… It looks awesome, the character is really great, it’s a unique looking building (even if another Lard Lad) and it’s a good price… ! ❤
I just couldn’t let it go away, it had to be in my town… so now I’ve designed a vintage area with the Retro Lard Lad, Nighthawk Diner, Overpass Diner, Gas and Grub and the Studebaker… and I totally enjoy it !! 🙂
And Laird Lad looks really funny, he makes me jiggle, and I like seeing oldies walking around my Springfield cause they have the coolest animations… moreover it makes a second wheelchair for my Springfield, and a bit more of diversity is always welcomed !

Hard close your game, clear your cache, uninstall TSTO, restart your device, redownload TSTO. That should correct it. If it doesn’t contact EA.
Don’t sit on your hands, otherwise you may miss out on it. If the uninstall process doesn’t work you’ll need to contact EA. They can restore the items to your town.
This is almost always caused by a corruption in the download…usually clearing your cache and fully uninstalling and reinstalling solves the problem. but make sure you restart your device in between.
Thanks! It’s only gotten weirder. The next update brought it back. Not it’s in a state where I have 2x Homers, Lisas, Flanders, and Moes! How weird is that?!?! I guess I’ll use the doubles until I’m back up to the event currency that I used to have, and then try the wipe and reinstall and see what happens…

I am saving my sprinkles for Halloween too! Can’t wait. I have totally lost interest since they brought back the super heroes event. I didn’t even hardly play or care I only got one or two of the prizes (which is odd for me) so they better have something awesome for THOH!

Ugh why cant EA be a bit more creative with tasks. Why so many tasks for characters in the Brown house – It just means everything else just goes unused in the game.
While I’m at it, I really hope they add the ability to zoom out further too. The odd time you can after an event (Likely a bug) it suddenly looks so much better when I can see more of my town
JAMES H – I agree with you about the underuse of buildings, tho I suspect it’s to allow really low level/newer players to fully participate in the events. Having said that, EA could use other buildings and just have the brown house as the default for any SFs that don’t meet the requirement. Back in the day, if an event required a building that you didn’t have yet (commonly, the town hall) then that was the end of your fun. So I think EA are trying to be inclusive (or lazy🙊😂)…💜X
Yes, I would love a wider/father zoom out option. As we get more events and more specialized areas, being able to get a better sense of where everything is would be a very welcomed!
It has dissapear from my game!!!!
Also for me has dissapear. YEsterday i satarted the event, even put the base of the lard building and today no task and the base placed was no there.
What is going on with this event?
