No new Simpsons this week, football instead, but did you catch last week’s 1hr episode? What were your thoughts?
Not to much going on in Springfield right now. The snow has melted and a few changes have been made to Springfield Heights. Have you picked up new land? Enjoying the new 8hr tasks?

Maybe this has already been covered somewhere, but hopefully someone can answer the following for me here. Why, on the very last row of available land, is a portion of mountain separating SH and the rest shaded in, when it shouldn’t be? I’m not sure though, if anyone knows what I’m talking about or has the same glitch.
It’s just a minor glitch, neighbor. It’s been that way since we got it. Somebody, maybe Barry, forgot to code it right. 🙂

I LOVE Alton Brown…Been watching him since the first episode of
Good Eats and now follow his blogcasts…Funny, intelligent, and can cook (not to mention waaaay cute)…what more could you want from a man?
Go see him live on tour if you can! I went last year, and it was one of the most fun evenings I’ve ever had.
I read a comment that mentioned a technique for picking the 3 donuts on the first try when maxing out xp… anyone know more details or a link to where it’s talked about.. I just leveled up all the way so it would be great even if it only worked part of the time
The only trick I know is that the “sets of three” have a tendency to appear twice in a row in the same place. If you are buying/selling rattrap trucks, try to do multiples of 10 trucks at a time. After I find the first set of 3, I choose that place again the next time, and then again until I am wrong. The next choice will be a repeat of where the last set finally was, and so on. I constantly beat the odds with this system..usually getting 4 to 5 correct picks on the first try for every 10 tries and usually only 2 times having to make all three picks. This system doesn’t always work, but it seems pretty reliable. I think the algorithm leans towards repeats. Try it out…see if it works for you…good luck with the sprinkles.
Hey there addicts, rainy weekend washed out my plans of a hike with my youngest daughter, although I did finish a walking stick I’m extremely pleased with. Wide awake from lack of exercise lately and rocking my 80s in the earbuds again. Made a mixtape…yeah you heard that right. The desire was there so I put together a mix of 80s electronic songs. Just wish I knew more people with cassette decks still 😕, oh well. Hope you all enjoyed the weekend!
Am I one of the few who already needs more land in Springfield Heights? I wish there was more beachfront available, but since that would mean pushing the mountains back, I don’t see that happening. I’ve developed a high end shopping promenade anchored by the mall-o-rail and all the high end stores/restaurants I have. Now I need room for a few of the mansions.
Lol same here! I also made like an “uptown” area with high-end shops and beachfront promenade in SH. Already ran out of land even with those 2 new strips and planning to continue with a nice mansion area if/when more land becomes available for purchase.
I’m the opposite. I got my “uptown” area done and still got a nice sizeable empty patch in the far back of my heights. Got the Promenade and upscale shops along the beachfront, even the Monty Burns Casino there too. The big office buildings along the back and then a mansion neighborhood all throughout the center. Still got room left over for more.
I’m with Claire! Last year we got a free French flag for Bastille day – How about a free Aussie one for Australia Day EA? FYI the date is Thurs 26th!
Does anyone else feel that a lot of the episodes from this season have had plots that are more or less centered around Mr. Burns? Or is it just me?
It’s Australia Day this week, I’d love to see a mini event based off the episode Bart vs Australia.
Turbo grinding for the last couple of days. Got all of the new gatherers and new land in SH. Going to take a break for that for now.
I was traveling out of state & interviewing (no cell signal or wifi there) so could not do much neighbor visiting. Then the Springfield Height update led to TONS of grinding to get all the land & SH currency maxed back out again (which is why I hate daily challenges involving generating more–> have to buy crap or use Googolplex). That put an even bigger dent on neighbor visiting. Kind of burnt out. I apologize to my neighbors. Will try to get caught back up first part of the week.

I have been tapping less lately as I am busy with some DIY projects and house cleaning. Also, I am not spending enough and tapping less will slow down my rate of earning.
Purchased my last plot of land in Krustyland. Now I’ll start just stock piling tickets for cash trade in. Im very ready for the next event to start. The downtime has allowed to finish a week of the Monorail. I always forget about it. I love playing with train sets and visiting them with my son but the in game version just doesn’t excite me. I need to get it to the point where I get donuts. I’m pitifully behind on it. The Jay G set was super tempting but I’m saving for the hope of Presidents in February. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Don’t know how to start this but I am writing this from a hospital room, watching my father peacefully sleeping next to me. We’ve stopped all treatment since Friday and after talking with the Doc this morning, it looks like today will be the day. I need to let this out as it has been a long 5 yrs of battling and continuous appointments with ups and downs and a whole lot of pent up emotions. Sometimes it’s easier to express my feelings to complete strangers. Go figure. Mentally I’m ready for him to no longer be in pain. He had his flaws and his strengths as everyone does and I love him for who he is and was. My intentions are not to be morbid or depressing. Nor am I looking for sympathy. Just a celebration of a great man who so happened to be my pops. It’s not the end of my book, but the end of a chapter with many more to come. I’m thankful to have an amazing wife and children who are always there for me. Life is short so enjoy every one with whom ever you choose, no regrets. Thanks for listening to my rambling. Changed my gravatar to one of my favorite pics of him and how I will always remember him. RIP pops, we’ll miss you.

It’s good to talk to people where they are friends or strangers .Some best advice can come from a total stranger. It’s hard on people when a loved one is sick whether it’s a child with a simple cold or a loved one with a illness. Always keep them in your heart and learn from what they have taught you whether it’s good or bad we learn from our parents and loved ones that raised us as a small child. May God bless you and your whole family.

I would imagine most folks finished the last mini event well before its end date. Which means means a down time of plus 2 weeks.
Must admit iv’e started another farming type game while waiting for the next update. Hurry up EA not enough happening to keep me tied to Tapped out.
I tried something called Goat Simulator, where you are…well…a goat…and you do goaty things(like butt everything in your way).
Not very good at it, but who doesn’t like to send a trash can flying into the stratosphere occasionally…

I would rather grind when there are new prizes or decorations. This is just land which I don’t personally need at the moment. If and when SH part 3 hits then I will play. To me this is EA filler dust …and the first time in my game play I haven’t joined in!

With you in spirit, but I wanted the land, especially since I splurged on Jay G’s mansion. It took about a 2 day grind to get everything maxed out again. But outside of that, yeah, I try to basically ignore Heights. No where close to $1 Billion and no plans to make any effort to get there.

Life is uber busy right now. Helped my sister out this morning as her Event Planning business has a booth at a local wedding bridal show today. Thursday and Friday I’m heading down to San Francisco for a work meeting. I then take the red eye back up to Toronto and get here Saturday morning, just in time to help with last minute preparations for my nephews first birthday next Sunday.
TSTO comment:
I like the little tweak towards Heights. Unlocked all the land right away and now working away at the Googleplex to replenish my reserves. Have over 400 of all 7 items (most just barely over at 401 or 403 apiece, except over 500 furniture), and would love to get back to 666 of everything. Just wish they would increase the REV cap. I’ve been stuck at $2 billion REV for what seems like over a year. In reality, I’m probably closer to $2.5 billion REV.
Hi Safi — let me know if you need any info about San Francisco — restaurants, etc. Just know that if it is still raining like crazy, flights in and out of SFO will inevitably be delayed. We have these stupid parallel runways that lead to delays in heavy rain, heavy fog, or high winds. And if you are flying United, the airline will show your flight as on-time until about 45 mins to an hour before your departure time.

I get in around 10am local time Thursday and have that day before our “Welcome Dinner” at 6pm.
Then I have Friday evening after our meeting ends at 5pm, until my flight at midnight.
So what are the must-sees in such limited time? How would you rank the following attractions:?
– Fisherman’s Wharf
– Golden Gate Bridge
– Alcatraz
– Full House house
– China Town

In have a lot of family in the Bay Area, so I’ve been there many times. The first time I went, though, I actually did one of those sightseeing bus tours, which I had never done before anywhere (and always assumed would be kind of lame). It was actually a great way to get a quick sampling of the city and it also helped me to get a sense for what I’d want to go back to see when I had more time.
However, if you really want to go to just one or two sites, I’m not sure you have everything on that list that should be there. For example, the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park is lovely, and there’s a bunch of other stuff you can see in the park (museum, aquarium, botanical gardens, etc.), so it might be a time-economical option.
How did you get to 2bn+? I’m at 1.5 with everything maxed out and short of buying and storing hundreds and hundreds of luxury yachts I don’t see how it’s feasible. Is that what you did or is there a secret I’m not aware of?
The way the game has become, with everything being limited time, it can be hard to prioritize what to use your donuts on. That limited time tag in the store puts the pressure on to “get it now!” Or miss out…or, maybe just wait awhile. Something I’ve done recently is compile a list of the permanently available characters I’ve yet to purchase and put them in the order I’d most like to have them. Now, when something limited time is offered I can compare it to my list and decide if it’s something I really want, or am I buying it, at least in part, because of it being limited time. Like with this latest Gil deal. It wouldn’t have cracked my top 10, so I decided to pass on it and picked up my number 1, instead. Duffman. Oh, yeah!

Quiet weekend for me both personally and tap wise. 3 weeks into my new job and 2 weeks into the university course that goes with it so tired with all the travelling (240 mile round trip twice a week) and trying to do some studying but easily distracted by TSTO and this site. Wife and daughter gone out to a dance show so going to flex my culinary muscles and make pizza for me and the boy! (When I say make I mean cook…. from the freezer! 😀)

I can appreciate that. Three years here too and I don’t find myself playing the way I used to anymore. In fact, today I was home and it wasn’t until the evening rolled around that I realized that I hadn’t logged into the game yet.
Ive stopped playing a lot too. But not phasing out, just playing less.
I don’t know. I should try sending my townspeople out on longer jobs so it doesn’t feel like a chore checking in as often.
I’ve been doing the same thing, but today they’ll be on very short ones because as a possible update 😊

There was a patch yesterday that corrected those tasks to only start after you have the marketing agency.

I really hope that when the next event comes we get Springfield Airport. That trip round the world description gives me hope. I have been saving that space behind the Simpson house for the airport in reference to Mr. Krusty Goes to Washington.
I’m looking forward to the trip around the world event. Don’t know if it will be next event because that might be Valentine’s Day but I have a feeling it is coming soon
Ahhh nice idea. I got a bunch of space around the space center. Think it’ll tie in nice there. We might get what we got last year, a Valentines day mini event then a major, which would be awesome if it was a Simpsons go to … event centering around the airport

Today was just too hot (37°C) to do anything except watch cricket (South Africa vs Sri Lanka) with the fan going full blast! Dipped in the pool here and there to stay sane-ish. Desperately hoping we do get some rain this week – we are having a drought with water restrictions so my garden is very brown and everything is wilting in the heat! Watered a few newly planted things but almost gave myself a nasty burn because initially the water in the hosepipe was sooooooooo hot!
Although I’ve been in the pool a couple of times today, it is now time for a bath!

Hi MAB…Happy Sunday…sorry you are sweltering there, the weather here was lovely in Savannah all last week.
Then last night it began to rain…and rain…and rain…and it is still raining 16 hours and 4.5 inches later with no end in site. We were lucky and missed the tornados north of us…a bad band of rain came thru at about 2am and there were multiple tornados that killed 11 people…woke us up when it came thru, but we had no idea what was going on to the north. My folks called this morning and woke us, asking if we were ok…we were unaware anything had happened. Our yard has some branches down, but nothing major. I feel sorry for the people going thru this again…it was just October when the hurricane trashed this area, and now this.
We are under tornado watch for another front supposedly coming thru around 5 to 6pm tonight that they project will be as bad as last night…sure hope not…we are all hunkered down and have all the kitties inside with us. They are all getting a little fractious since we won’t let them go out…hopefully by tonight it will have passed thru and we can get back to normal.
Good day to make some soup and watch old movies 🎥 …and do a little tapping, of course.
Hope all is safe was in the tornado area growing up, now Iive on the other side of the country.

Hi MAB — As a Californian, I hear you about the drought. I haven’t even bothered with my garden (except for keeping what we already have alive) for the last three years. This winter, though, I think I might need to build an ark! It’s either drought or floods out here.

I think everybody with Ralph, but without the ice castle, is in the same position…lots of people posting in the last few weeks about this issue, but no solution as yet…
I think you mean Martin not Ralph and only if you had his ice princess skin from winter 2015.
I suggested a solution on a post a week or so ago. My solution is EA should just award the ice castle to anyone who has this task stuck in their task book. I doubt that will happen though.
I have the ice princess skin and no castle, and my questline left when it was supposed to, but then I was still being prompted to start part one of the quest. I think everyone with it stuck on their task bar had started the questline and that interfered with it going away.
