Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!
Well that didn’t take long, now did it? We’ve got ourselves an in-game update on our hands! An all new mini-event has found it’s way into our pocket-sized Springfields!
The Pin-Pals are back and better than ever!
More details as I work my way through (that’s way I get for attempting to work lol)..but for now know that you’ll need Burns, Homer, Moe & Apu free for a series of 6second tasks to launch the mini event.
Back with more in a bit…. (and I can’t help but wonder…bowling, will the “French Fop” come into play?)

First, because I know if I don’t put it here we’ll get a bunch of comments from people asking if we saw this, so everyone is aware…
He unlocks via the questline, see below
Also, the following skins are available. If you already have Pin Pal Apu from Tap Ball he applies here…
Ok, now let’s get into the details…
As mentioned above, you’ll initially be triggered to complete a 6s task for Burns, followed by 6s tasks for Burns, Homer, Apu & Moe. Once you’ve completed those two parts you’ll launch the event itself…
Take note that the Pin Pals Mini Event ENDS May 23rd…
So like all mini events, simply follow the main prize track questline to unlock all of the available prizes. What are those prizes?
Pin Pals Bowling Alley- 8
Pin Pals Bowling Lane- 26
Pin Pals Claw Machine- 30
Pin Pal Homer (costume for Homer)- 36
Pin Pals Bowling Trophy- 40
As you can see the currency is… bowling shoes! The goals are low compared to some recent mini events, but that’s because you only earn 1 or 2 per task completed (3hrs). 1 for freemium characters and 2 for premium characters.
Now onto the stuff available in the stores…
Freemium (and returning)
Laramie Vending Machine- $3,500
Premium
Pin Pals Bundle- 100 Donuts. Skins for Mr. Burns and Moe. They each earn 2 shoes each task
Nick’s Bowling Shop Bundle- 70 Donuts. Includes two different Nick’s Bowling Shops and they act as “teleporters” to go across Springfield.
Fiesta Terrace and Jacques- 150 Donuts. Fiesta Terrace earns a 4% bonus on all cash and XP as well as $175, 18xp/6hrs. Will NOT unlock in the store until you’ve completed Part 1 of the Pin Pals questline (basically not until you’ve unlocked the Pin Pals Bowling Alley)
Bowling Lane- 25 Donuts Once you’ve unlocked the first one during the questline more will appear for purchase.
Returning
Rolling Rock- 80 Donuts with a 30 Donut rebate, NET 50 donuts.
Alley McBalls- 50 donuts with a 25 donut rebate, NET 25 donuts.
The Gridiron- 40 donuts with a 20 donut rebate, NET 20 donuts
Barney’s Bowlarama (and Barney) -250 Donuts with a 90 donut rebate, NET 160 Donuts.
If I missed any returning ones please let me know. According to the files Shorty’s may now be offered with a rebate, but I can’t verify this as I have it in my main games & my low level games are too low of a level to find out.
I know y’all are looking for Jacques, he’s currently not available (at least as of Pin Pals Pt. 1) but he is part of this update. It looks like he will be part of a premium building combo, at the moment it looks like 150 donuts, but EA could change their mind on that cost.
I’ll pay through the update later tonight as I write up the Turbo Tappin’ and let you know if he pops up for purchase later in the questline.
For now, that’s it my friends! All of the details for the Pin Pals update. A couple of new items, a bunch of returning discounted items and just under 2 weeks to complete it all. Just enough time to keep you entertained in TSTO, but not over loaded with a major event. So relax and have fun!

I love Pin Pals, but today was Whacking Day and I was going to finally pick up Lumpy. Guess I have to wait another whole year. 🙁
lol – I decided not to buy Lumpy during the first Whacking Day event, and had to wait about three years until EA offered him again. Hope your wait won’t be that long. 🙂
And this boys and girls is why I love EA and my bank hates them. Oh we give you Apu free you do quest for homer. Mr burns and more? yea we want 10 bucks. Also are we forgetting that Otto was a member as well?

Currently have 179 donuts and am pondering getting the Shortys rebate deal. I’m saving my donuts for something big, like Halloween.
Start KEM farming and you will have been plenty of donuts by Halloween.
How do you KEM farm? I’m unfamiliar with that method.
Don’t forget to check out buying Mystery Boxes for maximize your % per donut.
Can someone speak on Jacques’ tasks? I’m interested in knowing what he does for visual tasks before I consider him. And whether he helps with bowling shoes. Thanks.
Ditto! Will wait for the sib before getting him, as I’m tired of paying for two short visual tasks.
I got him and I was surprised that he doesn’t have a task that earns event currency right away. But I sent him on a date with Marge, which is a 2 hour character quest task, and I’m hoping that he’ll start earning bowling shoes as the event quest line progresses.
He doesn’t help with the shoes. Currently doing his quests but can’t see the visuals yet.
Update: the next quest item is a long task (I’m trying to avoid spoilers here) that doesn’t appear to earn bowling shoes either. The building doesn’t earn them either. I was hoping/expecting that it would, since several buildings from past (mini-) events did pay out event currency for the duration of that event. Perhaps an SIB will clarify if it’s going to later but I doubt it…
OMG! Just had one of the best moments ever playing this game. Brandine had a Spuckler baby, and I bought Jacques. I’m so incredibly happy about getting Jacques. He was at the top of my wish list since I started playing this game three years ago.

Never buy a building till it returns for a discount. Thats the message i am getting.
I purchased thier bowling outfits and it took my donuts and disappeared from the store. I checked my inventory and not their. I checked their skins and it wasn’t there either. With their current jobs it offers me the deal again and when I click on it I go back to the store where it has disappeared from again. Anyone else missing thier skins after purcahing them?
Have you tried going to your neigboreenos page, or to Krustyland? Things often go back to the way they should after the game re-syncs itself. Else you should try doing a hard restart of your device. If there’s still no love, contact EA.
YES! great theme, an easy pace, and a deal on Barney! i sadly missed him during the space event, so glad to finally get him now.

Jacque becomes available once you unlock the pin pal bowling alley prize. Not only does the building he comes with earn money but it also increases your percent bonus by 4%! Seems like a good deal.
There is indeed a rebate being offered for Shorty’s right now. Originally 60 donuts with a rebate of 30.
If only I waited an extra day … this morning I bought Barney.
I had this happen with Duff Man about a month and a half ago. Stings bad (if it makes you feel better, I bought Barney at full price too).
This is why I decided never to buy characters that are in the store permanently. EA’s been bringing so many bundles/rebates on them lately…
Still refusing to update. Gonna squeeze as many bonuts as i humanly can before a forced update happens. Lol.

Just discovered the update. I usually finish mini events quite early so I’m gonna push it a few more days and get more bonuts.
Believe Shorty’s is a 60 donut purchase with a 30 donut rebate.
I feel bad for Barney…his Bowl-a-Rama has competition now. (I’m assuming this will be addressed in the questline…I haven’t started the event yet.)
Not sure Springfield needs two bowling alleys unless, perhaps, one is regular and the other is candlepin?
And three sport shops dedicated to bowling. I put one new one at ornate pier so that the teleportation would be relevant

Yesss. Always knew that the “fake French fop” would lead to Jacques, but I’m surprised it took him this long. Was expecting him back last Valentine’s Day, since he would’ve fit perfectly with not only that but the world tour and France act as well. But, hey, I’m not complaining, he works perfectly here as well.

Anyone have a count on how many different skins Homer has? Was hoping Moe’s skin would be freemium, don’t see myself spending the 100 donuts for it.

Wow. We’ve got another mini event. The rolling rock is a good deal. I’m undecided to pay 100 doughnuts for 2 character skins. As long as you can follow the event track and check in every 3 hrs I don’t think I need the extra boost to earn Bowling Shoes. Anyone think Jacques will be a Gil Deal? I though we were going to be in the “Gutter” for a few weeks waiting on a new event but EA decided to “Strike” it up. I hope everybody can “Spare” some time to play the new event.
Figures! I sent nearly everyone on long tasks last night so I could take my niece to the zoo today. Now I’m stuck until Homer and Apu are free. Sad.
