Should I Spend Donuts on Heavenly Hills Mall?

Hey Howdy Hey Tappers!

It’s almost Marge and Homer’s anniversary and of course we can all ready assume Homer will forget all about it.  But with the anniversary celebration we got a little sneak peek at the next TSTO event…something to do with Time Travel.  And naturally a new update, no matter how small, brings premium items to our store…just tempting us to spend those sprinkles!

Of course with that limited-time label it can be tempting to buy everything that looks awesome because it’ll be gone soon.  But don’t sweat it!  That’s where we come in to tell you what’s worth those donuts and what you might want to hold off on.

Wondering if you should add Heavenly Hills Mall to your Springfield?  Well before you hit that confirm button let’s break down the pros and cons of adding this Heavenly Shopping to your town…

Building/Decoration: Heavenly Hills Mall
Donut Cost: 60 Donuts
Earns: $200,22xp/8hrs (Main Building)
Size:
All 3 buildings are 8×8 individually
Conform-O-Meter:
Main Building Consumerism +20 each, Each Wing Consumerism +10.  So total all 3..Consumerism +40
Other Info:
Can be placed on Grass, Pavement and Dirt.  3 Separate Buildings.  When you purchase they’ll all go into your inventory, so you’ll have to go into your inventory to retrieve them.
You’ll also notice the images above look different than the image in the store.  The images above are an accurate depiction of how the buildings will look in your town.  The image in the store is not correct.

Leaves stores May 30th

Pros
-Unique building for Springfield

Cons
-No questline associated with it
-No tasks/jobs for any characters there (at least currently)
-Massive in size, especially when all together

Final Thought
Premium
Even for premium players it’s hard to see a good reason to buy this building, unless you just love to collect premium buildings. I do think this one is a pass, even for premium players.  Clearly we’ll be getting a new event soon, save those sprinkles for the next event and pass on this one.

Freemium
This one is a swing and a miss.  Freemium players should stay far, far away from this mall…no matter how heavenly it may seem. Save your donuts for the next event or some of the rebated premium content.

Of course in the end it’s your decision, we can only tell you what we would or wouldn’t do…and as I premium player I can tell you I’ll be passing. Total miss in my book.  But whatever you decide, just make sure you make your final decision before they leave our games for good (or for now).

And that’s it my friends, the details behind the Heavenly Hill Mall!

What are your thoughts on the Mall?  Will you be spending the donuts to bring it to your Springfield?  Why or why not? Where have you placed it in your Springfield? Sound off in the comments below, you know we love hearing from you!

  1. As others have already said …..I got it just so the angel can go in it’s proper place,

Maybe if I had came here first, I would have been persuaded not to….. it’s only 💰 money

I do remember the episode, and it was a good one,…..I think I am more likely to spend donuts on stuff that I recognise from the show

    🇬🇧😁

    • I agree. I think i’d rather spend donuts on a memorable building for the show that might be useless in the game, then a less-than-memorable one time character or decoration only created in the game

  2. I bought it, it looks soo good 😊

  3. Almost convinced myself not to buy this, and Alissa basically says no, too, but then there are those nice pictures in the comments, and now I am back on the fence…

  4. I wasn’t sure about the mall, but it turned out to be a nice addition to SH…right across from the airport 😄✈️.

  5. I like it. I don’t love it but I like it. And the design Cityscaper made really makes me want to get it. Maybe I will.

  6. 60 donuts seemed reasonable to me for a building and I kinda like the look of this one (looks good across the road from my airport), so I picked it up. I doing love it or anything, but I like it well enough. And, since my neighborhood has several malls in it, it doesn’t bother me having two of them in my Springfield.

  7. I hope it poops doughnuts next week when the update drops, and you all regret not picking it up.

But seriously, one of the worst items ever introduced.

  8. I guess I am one of the few who liked it.
I put it in Springfield Heights next to the hills.

    • I like it too. I think it looks nice and like you I put it in my Springfield heights. I had a big empty space there and now it’s all full. For only 60 donuts I don’t think it’s a bad building to get. Although for people trying to save donuts who don’t spend actual money, I can see why they’d pass on it.

But I’ve been playing this game for roughly two years now and I don’t think I’ve ever passed on a building.

  9. I got it for one reason and one reason only….to use one of the wings for my taxi station lol. I’ve been looking for a building exactly like it for awhile now, glad to have my design complete now😊

    • I really like the taxi station idea👍…looks like Quimby must have controlling shares in the busisness😉.

  10. I was going to ask if the Wise Guy could go here and I see some others have already asked, I wanted to see this mall in the game as a prize from an event not for donuts, I assume that this was the “outlet mall” that was teased ages ago in the app store’s description.

  11. 60 doughnuts isn’t terrible but throw in a bonus % and you’d have my sprinkles. So far for me at least no deal.

  12. My donuts are sitting until the returning item SIB. Got my eyes plastered on that Mansion of Solid Gold.

  13. Bought it not impressed at all, wished I had waited

  14. Jeremiah Jones-Goldstein

I would like to have this in my Springfield because I have the angel, but the cost and no permanent tasks for anyone are the reason I am not spending the doughnuts.

  15. Bought it to represent the dying malls of America. (KEM farmer – I don’t need any stinkin’ donuts!)

  16. I bought it because for a couple years I’ve been wondering where to put my Angel Fossil and now it finally all makes sense.

  17. Tony Da Tiger

It takes 60 donuts and more importantly 24×8 squares of space for ONE payout. No thx.

  18. Bought it. Regret it. Oh well.

  19. I like it for my Springfield! But I got to wait until there is more land made available to actually place it. Please EA!

  20. Now it sits next to my Mall O Rail in SH. Buildings were larger than anticipated, however, looks good with all the other SH stuff.

  21. I think I’d rather spend donuts on the Springfield Mall instead. At least I can remember where that’s from. 😛

  22. Already have the Springfield Mall. So pass. You are correct that it is best to wait for the next event.

  23. My Marge was begging on her knees to buy the mall. I cannot say no to begging women, so I caved in and bought the mall. Now she’s very, very happy.

  24. I wish I waited until this came out and I read it to but the mall, I tend to just buy things and now I really regret it $5.00 down the drain…

  25. Alissa, thanks for your hard work and dedication as always!
My question is regarding whether the Wise Guy has a task at the new Mall, I know he got one on another building recently ( the whole Googleplex storing unstoring thing), but one another forum there was mention of this task he had at the West Wing.
I can see no way to trigger it, and obviously I am wondering if you have heard or know anything about it.
    Thanks in advance!
    Sincerely,

    • According the the files there are no jobs at the mall. Nothing is linked to it other than the 8hr payout.

    • The wise guy will go to the closest building coded as a store for his 10 hour task to work a clerk shift.
Similarly, he will go to the nearest building coded as a restaurant for his 8 hour task to serve food, and the nearest house/residence for his 12 hour task to check the plumbing.
This all means he can technically have a task in almost any building, but it can be a minor p.i.t.a to get him to go to one specific building, hence the storing and replacing of the theater to change his location.

  26. stillerzugast

Any chance this building will be useful for the next event?

  27. OrdinarilyBob

I couldn’t think of a reason why I would want to buy this, so I was specifically waiting for your SIB to see if there was any good reason (maybe you’d have told me there was a cool character task/quest, animation, or some new special feature associated with the building. Alas, no. So no buy, for me. Thanks for the article, Alissa. Cheers!

  28. I don’t have a mall and I’ve got room, so I went for it.

  29. I agree,I pass.

  30. karenskuality

Will this building, or the workshop, play any roll in the upcoming “time travel” event? Will this be another mini-event or a full blown “99 day marathon” type of deal?
